Well, it looks like Walgreens EasySaver Rebate program is officially ending. Supposedly April will be the last month. The rumors I’ve heard so far are that they may start having people use Walgreens cards, similar to the CVS cards. They are also making the shelves in the store lower to be able to watch for shoplifters and are reducing the amount of employees and assistant managers. That’s really about all I know at this point.

oh no! I am just now learning how to do it all and they’re going to go and change it, bummer!!!

Well, let’s look at the bright side. With a customer loyalty card, at least we should be able to register it for Upromise money.

I noticed at my Walgreens, all of a sudden they’re starting to be more strict about product limits and multiple transactions.

They’re on to us!!! At least we’re already stocked up in toothpaste so we won’t ever have to pay for it again. And I’m probably set with shampoo for the next five years too.

So does that mean that they will also be discontinuing the register rebates? I hope not!! Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

They’re discontinuing the rebates, but it seems they might be increasing the Register Rewards (RRs), so you can roll those into new deals. I’m not sure if they’ll be getting rid of the coupons, though, since those are manufacturer coupons.

Where are you finding the details on this? I’ve looked on the Walgreens site and am not finding anything. . . I’d like to see it in black/white before I start panicking (I JUST found the Easy Saver catalog, and with the help of your site and others, figured out how much I could really save)!

At this point it’s rumors circulating. Although, one of my friends did talk to an employee who told her April is the last month for the EasySaver program. I will let you all know when I find out more.

Well, I just called the EasySaver phone number, and the woman I spoke with said that there will be a “new marketing system very soon”, and that she thought some stores were already using it. She mentioned that she thought it would be based on a ‘points system’ and for more information I should call customer service. I’ll probably do that tomorrow (when I’m not at work, lol).

Anyway: BOO HOO! I’m loving all my free products and don’t want the system to go away.

My local store actually just recently raised their shelves. I do leave in the country though it’s probably considered low risk.

I spoke with someone at the Walgreens 800# and she told me that they were going to do a Loyalty Program, but didn’t know the details. She forwarded my info, so when someone knows what’s going on, they will let me know. I will pass info onto you. You know, I like doing the Walgreens rebates because of the Gift Card and the extra 10%. There’s a lot of stuff to be had at CVS also, but I’d rather have the Gift Card instead of the ECBs. They do give you a month to use the ECBs, but I don’t like having to run to the store to make sure I don’t lose them. I suggested this to them. We give them all our ECBs, and they give us a money card for the total. That way we can use the G.C. when we want to. Another good thing would be for the registers to total all the ECBs you should receive on a single purchase, have that total at the bottom of the receipt, and then you hand that total to the cashier and she gives you a money card. Do you ever think about, “what if they stopped all this”? That would be a good subject to blog about. Thanks for all you do. Fran
