Wow, that was fast… the Deal is already DEAD!
I posted about the Smucker’s freebie yesterday, but lots of you were having issues registering, so I wanted to remind everyone to go ahead and register again if you’re unsure if your submission went through.
Here’s a recap of the freebie:

More information on Digital River…
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Monday, September 28th, 2009 at 6:18 am.
Alright, so I’ve been researching the Digital River and Easy Bakeware issues over the past few days and just wanted to share with all of you some of the new information I’ve acquired.
Digital River is a payment processing company that processes charges for various Online retailers. You can check out more details on Digital River and their website here. Basically, Digital River processes payments for lots of Shady companies. It seems quite a few of the companies offer free trial offers, but the problem is some of these trial offers do not disclose all the information they should–even in the fine print. Another big complaint I’ve read is that the customers will cancel their trial offer during the trial offer period, but the shady companies will simply ignore repeated cancellation requests and bill the customers a ridiculous amount after the trial is up!
If you can’t determine that a charge connected to them is legitimate, immediately dispute the charge with your bank and close the account to prevent future fraudulent charges. If you used a Credit card it should be very easy to get the charges removed. Credit Card companies are pretty good about knowing when a charge is fraudulent, so they may notice the charge before you even do.
I highly recommend not using a checking account number or debit card when shopping online. Using credit cards online is much safer and the legal protection is much stronger. Plus, some credit card companies now offer virtual one time use numbers. This is such a great thing and makes it so much easier to shop online without worrying so much about fraud.
Oh an thanks for the email and the comments. I did get some sleep and am feeling much better! I know this may sound cheesy, but I do have the most amazing readers… seriously, so thank you!

Target Deals 9/27-10/3
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Monday, September 28th, 2009 at 3:21 am.
Numerous readers are having issues with being able to stack a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon together on one item. Well, the good news is that Target’s coupon policy clearly states that you can use both coupons together on one item. Their policy also states that if the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item, then they can adjust the coupon down. Plus, their coupon policy in now available to view online here! Yay! Print it off and keep it with you every time you shop at Target. You also may want to read more about the coupon issues people have been encountering and what can be done about it here.
**Also, Target is now giving a $0.05 credit for each reusable bag you use when checking out! They don’t care where the bag came from or what type of logo is on it. I’m excited about this. It’s just another great way we’ll be able to save at Target. I would call ahead to make sure your local Target is participating.

Walgreens: Theraflu Register Reward Deal Update + Warning on the Oral-B & Fusion Razors!
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Monday, September 28th, 2009 at 12:51 am.

A few Walgreens Deals & Updates:
It looks like the print limit for the $2/1 Theraflu coupon has been reached. On a positive note, though, the Theraflu Register Reward deal is even better then expected! Sarah & Jayna both emailed to let me know they purchased 3 Theraflu and received an $8 Register Reward–which is way better than purchasing 2 and receiving a $4 Register Reward!
Deal scenario:
Buy 3 Theraflu Nighttime 6 ct. $4 each=$12
Use the $2/1 Walgreens coupon from the Health Savings booklet
(will deduct $6 for purchasing three)
Pay $6
Get back an $8 Register Reward
Final cost 3 for FREE + a $2 moneymaker!
**If you were able to print the $2/1 coupons, then this will be an even bigger moneymaker!
**********************************
Also, I wanted to give you all a heads up on the Walgreens Oral-B Register Reward deal. Here’s a recap of the deal:
Oral-B Advantage 1-2-3 Toothbrush $3=$3RR
Use the $0.75/1 coupon from the 9/27PG
Final cost FREE + a $0.75 moneymaker!
Well, I’ve heard reports from a few readers now that the Oral-B toothbrushes are not generating a $3 Register Reward. I guess their system was not programed correctly for this deal. Anyway, I have heard that Walgreens corporate is aware of the problem, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Another Register Reward deal update is on the Fusion razors. The Fusion razors in the orange packaging are NOT generating the $6RR, so do not purchase those. The Fusion razors that are generating the Register Reward are in a blue package. (Thanks, Kelly!)
