I’m surprised Baby Einstein is still making DVDs.

ginger says:
They are probably old ones they are trying to get rid of.
Anon says:
Way to go Michelle! I was hoping no one would find out til later cuz I can’t get out due to one car LOL!
Andrea says:
Kari they may not make your child smarter but they aren’t making them dumber either! & they are entertaining… that’s why kids like them anyway!
GREAT DEAL! I’m going to go tomorrow!

Kari-
For all those bright babies who NEED constant stimulation for their little brainy selves, Baby Einstein can fit a true need. Our 24 mo old has watched Einstein videos since 2 months old in the car and still does. We went from a screaming infant traveler to a happy enthralled one instantly. Life requires time in the car and I will happily turn on Einstein and hear her repeat words and colors and the alphabet when she is strapped in the car. It has saved our whole family so much distress…I say “Yeah, Einstein!!” Any parent could abuse videos/tvs as babysitters, but those parents aren’t intelligent enough to know better so what do the expect from their offspring?? LOL…..I’m off to Target!
Anon says:
My daughter watched Baby Einstein and is now a very bright, intelligent 3 year old so I’ll be getting in on this deal!!!
Cath says:
They never said they’d stop making the videos, they are just marketing them differently. And sadly, this is the new packaging- if you have any in the old packaging you can send them back to Disney and they’ll send you a check for $15.99 for each one (!). I know of quite a few people who used that as a serious MM!
I am pro-TV for my kids, myself.
Lori says:
I just dropped my 2 Baby E. DVD’s off today at the post office for the rebate that Cath just spoke about. My 3 year old watched them when she was little and loved them but then I found out about Praise Baby DVD’s so we switched to them. I would have kept them for my next child but when I heard I could return them for $15.99 I jumped on it! We will see if I actually get a check!
Kati says:
Lmao this company is giving the money back from sales on DVDs because these have been proven not to be effective…dont waste your money
anon says:
I also have a few that I was planning on sending back, but wonder if anyone has had success getting their refund? You can do 4 per house x $15 refund, so $60!
kt says:
Cath and Lori, where did you get the rebate form ?

Here is the website to get a refund. (just search “baby einstein dvd refund on google) I just sent 3 today. Hopefully it is legit and I get $15.99 x3!!!
Kenne says:
I saw this offer yesterday and went and scooped up 4 Baby Einstein DVD’S. They were originally 15.00 but on sale for 10.00,plus with the coupon was only 5.00 per movie.! Great deal. This will be part of a care package we will be sending to our friends I saved 40.00 overall on this deal. My wife was the one that introduced me to this site Thanks for the posting !
Kristina says:
I did the rebate for 4 of my DVD’s and got a check in the mail the other day for $63.96….awesome!
Jodi says:
It is legit. The movies are entertaining and have good music (if you like classical). My 4 year old only liked the music and to this day he say hey that it xx movie when he hears the music.
Seriously though, regardless of what the packaging says, no dvd is going to make your baby smarter, raise their IQ or more intelligent just by watching it. Is it educational? Well, that is debatable. Do they keep your child occupied while you make dinner for 20 mins? They sure do (well, not my first child, but he is another story!) I think most people use common sense and know this.
Michelle says:
HI,
Just wanted to let everyone know that the $.75 shirts are the GI Joe men’s shirts..they are not marked so just scan them.. and the Oreo’s were in the regular cookie section and the Oreo’s were spelled out in ornament with a blue background. There were tons left because they are not marked..I bought 4 but now I think I should go back!
Heather says:
I found another great toy deal at my Target yesterday! The Parents brand band set on clearance for $11.88. It comes with a free year of Parents magazine or you can mail away for a refund of $5.13, which makes the band set come to $6.75! Great deal as it sells for $39 on amazon.
Klarissa says:
Bonus! I bought two of these yesterday and opened them up today! They have Disney Movie rewards in them! Yea!! My sons loved these, but we had them on VHS and our VCR broke! I wasn’t about to shell out reg. retail for new ones, but I can handle $5 a peice!! THanks a BUNCH!!
kim says:
no peelies at either of my 3 stores
Amy says:
My Target had removed all the stickers for the $5.00 off. Could see where they were removed and then placed on the shelf. Lots of DVD’s and all were like that. Bummer.
Samantha says:
I can’t say I blame anyone for wanting the refund especially if it’s a MM…. but to me, the whole thing is ridiculous. The parents part of the Einstein DVDs talks about ways to watch the DVDs WITH your child. I don’t like my daughter watching a lot of TV but if she watches educational programming I watch it with her and we talk about it. No DVD is going to make your child magically smarter! We love Einstein at our house ( and the grandparents’ house)! Just my 2 cents!
Samantha says:
The stickers are kind of hard to see, but you can see an example in the DVD to the left in the posted photo. I was able to get 6 DVDs tonight for $5 each!!! The ones that my store had were the ones for 12 mos. plus which is really great because my daughter is over a year old ( but she still enjoys the younger ones, too!). What a deal!!! I found them near the Kids and Family sets.
kate says:
I thought the refund wasn’t just about the videos not making kids smarter, but about the AAP saying children under 2 that watch TV are at greater risk for attention disorders in grade school. Our pediatrician told us that too, and a friend that’s a doctor agreed. It’s not like you’re definitely going to give your kid an attention disorder by letting them watch tv, but I don’t want to increase the risk for my kids, especially because my hubby is ADD, his mom is too, and they are probably already a little more prone to it. =) And it’s not about the content of what they are watching or who they are watching with, etc – the studies indicated that it was the frequent changing of images that affected the brain. Like, how the Baby Einstein videos cut scenes a lot. =) Sounds like it wouldn’t be so much of a problem to let them watch a video of one person talking without camera cuts. Anyway. Random. =) And I don’t think you’re a bad mom if you let your kids watch tv. =)
