Alright, so I was just reading through the comments on my previous Walgreens post and it seems that quite a few readers from all different states are reporting that the the Aveeno, Clean & Clear, Lubriderm and Roc products are in fact ringing in buy one get one FREE–not buy one get one 50% off. Please be aware that this appears to be working at select stores and not all stores, so you’ll want to price check 2 items together and see if that’s the case.

If your store is ringing in buy one get one FREE, you can do the deal I posted yesterday (+ add on a few more items) to really come out ahead:

Walgreens Deal Scenario:
Purchase 4 Lubriderm Daily Moisture Body Lotion 6 oz. for $3.79 each
(2 lotions will ring up FREE)
Purchase 2 Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrubs $5.29 each (1 will ring up FREE)
Purchase 1 Aveeno Active Naturals Nourish and Revitalize Shampoo 10.5 oz. for $7.49 each
Purchase 1 Aveeno Active Naturals Nourish and Revitalize Conditioner 10.5 oz.–products will ring up FREE
Purchase 2 RoC Multi-Correxion Exfoliating Cleanser $9.99 (one will ring up FREE)

Total=$30.35

Use 4 $2/1 Lubriderm coupons from the 1/10 SS or found here
Use the $1/1 Lubriderm coupon from the Diabetes and You Booklet (will deduct $4–for purchasing 4)
Use 2 $2/1 Clean & Clear coupons from here: IE or Firefox
Use 2 $2.50/1 Aveeno Nourish coupon from the 1/10 SS or found here
Use 2 $3/1 Roc coupons from here or from the 1/10SS

Pay just $3.35

AND then submit for the Johnson & Johnson $10 rebate!

Final cost— 10 normally costly items for FREE + an almost $7 Moneymaker!
**************************************

Also, a Clearance find I want to mention is on L’Oreal Cosmetics and L’Oreal Hair Color products! Lots of these are products are on clearance for just $2-$3! Plus, you can use the various high value L’Oreal coupons to score lots of inexpensive and even FREE products! Check out Clippin’ With Carie’s post to see how she scored almost $150 worth of products for less than $3! Wow!

…AND finally, I just want to apologize about the Planter’s Trail Mix deal. From looking at the ad I thought there was a Register Reward on these, but the ad was actually referring to the $1/2 coupon from the January Coupon Booklet. Your final cost will be $1, not $0.50, but still a good deal!

Its buy one get one 1/2 off in Salt Lake City, Utah

  2. Claudia

It’s BOGO50%off in North Ogden, UT

  3. Carrie

Okay, I just got back from Walgreens (GA)…

The whole Lubriderm scenerio is Buy 1 Get 1 50% off, not B1G1 Free. It was a little surprise when I saw the total, the cashier voided it out, rerung it for me in my shocked state, but even their ad states B1G1 50% off, so the $3.35 OOP before Mail in Rebate is out. The total due was over $20 so I politely said I did not want to do that deal. The cashier was super nice and didn’t seem to mind all the trouble. But on a second note, the Oust deal as well was a no go. Not sure if this is a per store decision or what, but this store mgr said this b1G1 Coupon could not be used on the two Oust that I was getting on sale B1G1. ….

The Bayer Quick Release worked though.. Yay!
And I got a couple thermacares and a toothpaste. But to put so many items back at the end was disappointing.

  4. anon

    MA is b1g50% RATS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Meredith

So is it safe to say that if you were able to get the BOGO deal yesterday you’re probably not going to get that deal today?

  6. Stephanie G

What code should I be looking for when the item is scanned to know if it will be BOGO (BGLP?)? I know this came up with the almay a few months back, but i can’t find it.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to 3 Wags within a 4 mile radius today. 2 of the 3 gave me the Lubriderm for b1g1 FREE and the third gave B1G1 1/2 off. You just have to check your wags at the checkout counter to be sure.

  8. Rzatki

Is anyone having difficulty with the Lubriderm at $3.79? Although I did not do the deal yesterday while I was at Walgreens (too overloaded and needed to get in/out quickly) I noticed the B1/G1 50% tags listed a minimum purchase price of $4.69.

  9. Heidi

All items (clean and clear, aveeno shampoo and lubriderm) came up BOGO at my Milwaukee, WI store this morning!

  10. ilja

How about Detroit Michigan what are they ringing up BOGO or B1G1 50% off!

  11. Lanvy

I was gonna do this deal and when I had the lady price check the Lubiderm at my Denver store, she scanned one and it came up BGLP. Is that BOGO or just B1G1 50%. I asked her to scan them both, but she said she couldn’t unless I was buying it…

    • Anonymous

The Lubriderm on my receipt said BGLP as well, 50% came off the second one.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had them price check it too here in Centennial CO, and BGLP came up as well, but when I checked out it was BOGO free, so I don’t know what that means, but just go check out and if its not BOGO free, just say you don’t want them and walk out. They can’t force you to buy anything.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did the exact deal that was suggested except I had to substitute a 16 ounce of Lubriderm ($7.49) for a 6 ounce of Lubriderm ($3.79). I picked out a 16 ounce Lubriderm that had a 2 ounce sample attached to it. The deal was BOGO and I ended up paying about $7.50 OOP. I went to a WG that is usually very customer friendly. This is in OK. 11 items (including the sample) for $7.5!

  13. karlee

can anyone tell me if the rebate has to be from the same receipt or if it can be from multiple receipts

  14. Sarah

In WA the BOGO free is not working. It’s BOGO 50%. Not bad but, free is better!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Got the B1G1F in Bemidji MN this morning, and when I went back this afternoon, it was fixed to B1G150. Oh well, got some great deals this morning.

  16. Christa

Does anyone know about IL- quad Cities to be exact?? Is it B1G1 or B1G1 50%off??

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

In Centennial, CO all items are ringing up as BOGO free!!! Just got back, couldn’t find the diabetes & You coupon book, so I got the small aveeno lotion instead and got 2 Roc cleansers, 4 Clean & Clear cleasers, 1 aveeno shamp & cond, 2 sm aveeno lotion all for 9.45+tax, and it qualifies for the $10 J&J rebate!!! Wohoo!!! (fyi i have 3 computers so I could possibly do this deal again…hmmm)

    • Lanvy

Which one in Centennial is that one?

    • Denise

      Which Centennial store?

  18. Meg

From the rebate form that was in the paper:

“GET $10 REBATE check by mail when you buy $30.00

Buy: You must purchase $30.00 worth of products from 2 or more of the following brands between January 10, 2010 and February 5, 2010: Ambi, Aveeno, Clean & Clear, Purpose, Lubriderm and RoC. Purchase excludes tax, trial sizes and cleansing bars

Send: 1) This official mail-in certificate; 2) The original dated, store-identified cash register receipt dated between January 10, 2010 and February 5, 2010 with each purchase price circled”

Hope that helps clear things up!

The BOGO is working in Reno! I had to get the 16oz size Lubriderm at 7.99, and only had two manufacturer’s coupons for the Lubriderm (could only print one and got one Sunday paper), but still ended up getting $84.04 worth of stuff and paid 20.93. I also had problems with the Diabetes & You coupon. It kept beeping. I gave it to her last, and she told me that it was because I had used too many coupons! She grudgingly gave me $1.00 off ONE of the lotions, but that’s it. Now, I’m a little concerned that the receipt doesn’t show a subtotal to show that I bought over $30 worth of stuff for the rebate. I’m afraid that they will just look at my receipt and see that I paid $20 and deny me…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Robin,
I live in Fallon NV and do the Walgreens deals every week. The cashiers here are so nice. They see me sometimes 3 times a week in there. What Walgreens do you go to in Reno. I go there weekly and have not found a good one yet. They are all so rude. Thanks for any info.

This was the one on the West side of town across from the Safeway and Kohl’s on McCarran. I went to the cosmetics counter and the lady was really nice… until I pulled out my pile of coupons! She was VERY surprised that they were ringing up with FREE items instead of 50% off like the ad says…I just got out of there while the getting was good!

  20. Christy

My store is ringing up BOGO!!! I just had the Roc products ready and asked when I went to check out and they were – score! Mine also deducted the free items at the end after she hit the subtotal.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anyone try it in Idaho/Washington, Spokane?

  22. Meredith

The Roc products are so expensive, has anyone ever tried them?

  23. Smellyann

I’m so disappointed. ๐Ÿ™ I just went out to do this deal, and it’s B1G150% and not free. What do you do when that happens? Just say, “no thanks, take it all off” or buy it anyway? I had like 10 people behind me (no exaggeration, it was 11 pm and only one cashier) and was so flustered, I just bought it all anyway. PLUS, the prices for every single item was at least 50ยข more expensive than in the posted scenario for our Virginia Beach, VA, store (on Holland Rd for any locals), so my OOP was enormous! I was shocked. I left feeling like such an idiot, but I have learned my lesson.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Just take the stuff back.

    • Stacy

The same thing happened to me today. I’m going to have my husband take it back tonight so they don’t think I’m trying to pull one over on them or something. I’m in there so much they will probably think something’s up.

  24. marilee

i have a question. i printed off coupons from coupons.com and had some from my sunday paper, but i read that it said one coupon per transaction. is it still possible to use two coupons for the clean and clear, and two coupons for aveeno, etc.? i thought i coudn’t use two, so i just used one $2/1 for the clean and clear and aveeno even though i bought four of them. does anyone know if i can take them back if i want to use two coupons?

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know if you can purchase the items on two different receipts? I already purchased a baby Aveeno item at Target yesterday.

    • Stacy

The rebate form says ‘receipt’. So, I would do it all on one receipt to be safe.

  26. Sara

Shawnee KS WAGS is BOGO. Paid $7.15 OOP and bought.. I dont’ remember now.. 2 Lubriderms, 2 Aveenos and 2 Clean & Clears… just not sure what exactly.

  27. Susan

    Tulsa, OK
After stopping at 6 Walgreen’s here and there the past couple of days (there everywhere here, they breed like rabbits), I finally found one tonight that had the Lubriderm B1G1 free, in Jenks. I have a question regarding the $1 Diabetes coupon, perhaps one of you can explain. I bought 2- 16 oz at 7.99 each, but one was free. I handed the cashier a $3 RR from the Neosporin deal, 2- $2 Lubriderm Mfg coupons, and then the $1 Diabetes coupon, expecting it to take off $2, one on each of the lotions. When it beeped I realized I had only spent $7.99 and had $8 in coupons (I actually had $9 in coupons but didn’t figure that out until later), so I ran and got a mailer envelope for .99. It took an additional $1.00 off. Now as I am writing this I believe the reason it didn’t take off one more $1.00 for the Diabetes coupon was because (a) it doesn’t subtract on a free item, or (b) even with the envelope I was at $8.98 and needed to be over $9 because that was the total value of all my coupons.
Could one of you coupon pros please clarify.

Also as a suggestion to Collin or whoever, I think it would be so beneficial if we could print off a list of filler items. As other posters have indicated, and I include myself, sometimes I get flustered when a deal isn’t going down the way I expected, or there are people in line behind me, and all of a sudden I realize I need a filler. It would be great if it was catergorized .01-25, .25-.50, .50-.75,.75-1.00 etc. Obviously these would very slightly by store. I just hate busting a good deal with a nonessential purchase in the fury of the moment, especially because Walgreens is pricey when things aren’t on sale. Sorry for the length.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

it sounds like you had 4 coupons but only 3 items or 3 coupons and only 2 items. you need the same number of items and number of coupons–does that sound right? Also, there was overage and no item for the extra $ to attach?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree I spend more time looking for fillers than anything else.It really bothers me to spend money on fillers if they are not inexpensive. It really defeats my plan on saving money.I buy 8 items use 16 coupons and maybe 2 rewards now I have18 coupons now I need 10 inexpensive fillers. Help.

      • pjcoupon

Are you counting the walgreens store coupons in your coupon tally? if so, don’t. Only count MFR coupons (which includes the RR’s). I used to buy junk that was .50 at wags for filler, and then I started buying Ramen Noodles, super cheap (like $.35) and something I will actually use, as opposed to the random pencils and folders I was buying.
        Hope this helps…

  28. Rachael

Just went out and snagged this deal! Rang up BOGO Free ! I’m in Glendale heights, Illinois. The cashier I had was very rude to me saying I was holding up the line using all my coupons! I couldn’t believe she said that to me. I ended up getting 4 lubriderm lotions, 1 aveeno shampoo, 1 aveeno conditioner, 2 clean and clear facial scrubs, 2 Sally hansen nail polishes, 2packs of bic soleil disposable razors, 3 packs of gum and some cheap emery boards all for $11.24! After the rebate for J&J, Ill have spent 1.24 OOP!! Thank you so much Colin for posting such great deals!

    • JP

I am so happy to see someone from Illinois. Now I’m going to go try this. Maybe I’ll ask the cashier to try ringing it up and see if it is BOGO or BOGO50%. Tonight’s the night.

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi, Love your blog. I went to walgreens to try this deal with the aveeno positively radiant daily moisturizer $17.99 got 2 because of the promotion, hoping that it might be BOGO at the register, and it was yay!! felt really excited about that, handed over my $2/1 aveeno facial product coupon (2 of them) and the cashier said that I could only use one, i explained to her that it was 2 products and that the manufacture will remiburse the store for it but she had to check with the supervisor first, which also tried to give me a problem but I told her, the same thing and she still said no, so then i told her about walgreens policy of how they do take both coupons for BOGO, she had to call the manager to check and he ask her the price of the product that I was purchasing and then oked it. But still was trying to give me a hard time by saying that it was a copy but it wasn’t, printed on 2 different printers and finally got my 2 aveeno products for $13.99 plus tax making it $7.00 each plus tax. great deal =) Just had to point out to them that I was right. Sorry for such a long entry but I am excited about this purchase

  30. Quiche

Does anyone know if you have to send in the UPC’s-the fine print says “This certificate must be completed in full and accompany all required proofs of purchase”, but the top of the form doesn’t say to mail them?

  31. Craig

Well this sucks! You would need like 4 computers to get the Lub., and so q’s to do this deal. I didnt get any in the papers for them or Aveeno. Darn! Free Items and $$MM! Oh well.

  32. pjcoupon

Just wanted to let everyone know that I read on another blog that they called Johnsons & Johnsons for some clarification on this rebate, and they told her that the $30 is after coupons. So you would have to have a total of over $30 on your receipt after all the coupons. My advice would be to do this deal at your grocery store when you are getting your weekly groceries so that your total after coupons is over $30, that way they don’t know which items you used coupons on, and therefore cannot say that your purchase doesn’t qualify.
    Just a little FYI ๐Ÿ™‚
