New $2/1 Method Laundry Detergent Coupon!
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Monday, January 11th, 2010 at 3:46 pm.

Method has a new $2/1 laundry detergent coupon on their site! Just go here and click on the coupon link in the upper right hand corner. Press your browser back button to print 2 coupons per computer.
I’m guessing paired with an in-store promotion or sale this should make for a great deal. Does anyone know the regular cost of Method laundry detergent?
(Thanks, Joanne!)

Shevin says:
Lowe’s carries this Method product. In the Orlando, Florida area the 10 oz. is $7.99 & the 20 oz. is $14.88.
Shannon says:
Ditto with Shevin (in Knoxville TN)
Karrie says:
The only place I have even found this laundry detergent is at Lowes and for a 10oz it’s 7.99 and for a 20oz it’s 14.99
Anonymous says:
We live in Wisoconsin and Lowes is the only place that sells it. Same price $7.99. Not worth it to me to buy when I am sure there are better deals out there for other laundry detergent.
Melissa says:
They have a money-back challenge on their website. Look at the bottom left. Can’t hurt to try!
Laurie says:
You can print more than 2 coupons for this one. I was able to print 4. Possibly could have printed more, but stopped at 4.
Thu says:
I was able to print 4 too!
Susie says:
Can you use this in an HE washer?
Samantha says:
Yes, you can use it in and HE washer. You just have to make sure you buy the Method detergent that says HE on it.
BOONIE says:
does walmart or target have this product?
Anonymous says:
I am pretty sure you can get this brand at Target. I actually had only ever seen this brand there until more recently…but even then I’m still not seeing it many places.
Anon. says:
Target definitely has different kinds of Method products. I have seen it at Toys R Us too.
Anonymous says:
walmart in fla does
beth says:
pretty sure i saw this last night at toys r us in va
Flipfloppingmamma says:
Isn’t Method the Target brand of stuff??
Shannon says:
No
Anonymous says:
This is a strange comment…but does anyone else think those are some odd shaped bottles for detergent? Not at all criticizing…just saying!
tracy says:
no, method is its own brand…i think target’s new brand is Up, or something like that
Tami says:
They sell at Target in Illinois as well! Great coupon! Thanks.
suzyqpon says:
Method is an all natural brand that is usually concentrated to use less plastic/packaging. It’s an earth friendly company. Target carries it but it’s not their brand to my knowledge.
FYI – this came directly from the company I bought my washer from and it’s worked for me for years. You can use any detergent in an HE washer you just have to use much less detergent (the whole HE detergent thing is a marketing ploy). Once a month or so, run a load with some white vinegar to clean out any extra soap residue or your washer won’t spin the clothes as effectively. I do this and it works like a charm. Not to mention, vinegar gets out 13 year old smelly boy funk so I need it anyhow!
Anonymous says:
I can second this. My husband was in the appliance industry for several years and the HE detergent has always been just a money maker. Just use 1/4- 1/2 of the recomended amount of regular detergent and you will be just fine. And run a vinegar cycle 1 every 1 to 2 months.
Anonymous says:
Thank you for that information! I have always bought the HE detergent, and never heard of running vinegar through a cycle!
Jamie says:
I saw this at Babies R Us yesterday on clearance! FYI!
Vicki H. says:
Vinegar, huh, for teenaged-boy funk? Thaaaaaaank you suzyqpon!
Lacey says:
Agree with Suzyqpon – I have a HE washer & have been using regular detergent for years. They say to use less, so you actually save money on not having to buy as much detergent. Now, alot of detergents are HE if you look for small print on their packaging….atleast what I have used does. Regular detergent will not break your washer and it will not ruin your warranty. I have had my washer for 4 years now.
Shevin says:
Just an update for my area: Altamonte Springs, Fern Park, Sanford, & Oviedo Lowes DO NOT carry this detergent. The Lowes in Waterford & S.E. Orlando is temporarily out of stock. Which would mean to me that they do carry it they just don’t have any right now. Whole Foods in Winter Park doesn’t sell it, they used to & it wasn’t selling well so they took it off the shelves. BTW “Up & Up” is the new Target brand name, and I was just at the one in Altamonte Springs & was looking at the detergents & I don’t think they have Method detergent. Although, I wasn’t looking for their detergent, but I would think I would’ve noticed it since it’s a cool pump bottle. If anyone in the Orlando area can find who sells it for sure that would be great. I love other Method products & would be interested in trying the detergent.
Nikki says:
Was able to print 4 also… stopped at 4

I was also able to print four.
Danielle says:
Babies R Us carries a lot of Method products… regular laundry detergent runs $7.98 unless on clearance. They have one for babies, though, that runs about $11. Kroger also carries some method items mostly in the infant section with comparable prices.
Stephanie says:
Is this coupon good for the regular Method detergent or just the new one? I got this coupon in an email from Method.
Their products are really great and non-toxic but not 100% natural. They’re more like Burt’s Bees and usually say something on their packaging like “98.5% natural” and then will list all of their ingredients.
Watch out when you find their products on clearance at Toys R Us: I got some Method diaper cream there on clearance last week only to discover it expired/had a sell-by date of 12/2009.
Amy says:
I’m not too sure I’d worry about that too much? Does Laundry detergent go bad? Or diaper cream for that matter? Not trying to sound rude, I’m seriously asking. I don’t think it would hurt even if it’s past the date, it would still be a great deal, and you could just use that before whatever else you have in your stockpile right?
Amy says:
Oh and I also meant to say, it let me print 4 too and then I tried another one after that (not that I needed it, just wanted to see if it would go further) and it told me that I printed the allowed amount, so you are allowed to print 4!
Should be able to find a good deal at Target. They sell it their in FL, and I have also seen method products at publix in my area too, not sure about detergent though. I’ll have to check the prices there too. Would be awesome if it went on BOGO!
PENNY says:
I too have an HE washer and use the Tide freebies we’ve all been getting . I use 1 pkg for 3 loads of wash. Talk about saving money I do 3 loads a day and this is awesome. I use vinegar for a fabric softener too . Love free detergent……… Hope my Trgt sells it. I’m getting low.
Bridget says:
FYI – I found some Method products ( hand soap pumps, candles) on a clearance shelf at Target today
pump came out to .48 cents after 1.00 coupon

How much vinegar in one load?

I’m wondering the same thing. (How much vinegar in a load?)

I love vinegar. I use it in a downy ball to use as a softner and natural disinfectant. Not to mention, keeps your washer clean and the smells non existent. I fill the whole downy ball so a cup to cup in a half. For towels, I use two downy balls. I also bought a bunch of method dishwasher soap and hand soap for .54 cents and .99 cents at target. I had $2.00 off any method cleaner coupons.
Nina says:
YAY! These will be on sale starting tomorrow at QFC for $3.99 (25 loads) so with coupon it’s $1.99
Shawnna says:
I absolutely love Method hand soap…will try the detergent
