man i wish i had this grocery store. anyone know if there is the same deal at any other store?

  • Nicole says:

    Tara-
Check this list http://www.thekrogerco.com/. The stores listed are sister stores that possibly might do the same deals. Also, keep in mind that not all Kroger’s double coupons. So, this would be a YMMV deal. Collin thanks for the heads up, I am on my way to Kroger soon!

  • Sonia says:

Cell Fire also has a $.50 off Old El Paso Coupon as well, which would bring the cost down to $1 for 6 items :-) Love Kroger Deals paired with electronic coupons

  • Bobbi says:

At Wal-Mart, I got peelies from an Old El Paso product (can’t remember which one) that said “FREE (up to $1.09) one package any variety of Old El Paso Seasoning WHEN YOU BUY any TWO Old El Paso Products (excludes Old El Paso Refrigerated, Frozen, or Soup Products).” So if you had three of those, you could also get three free packeages of seasoning!

  • Lisa says:

So, I did this deal this morning and the Cat that prints out says OYNO and does NOT specify chicken or beef! YAY! FREE money :)

I also got the peelies when I bought shells. My deal is this:

    Buy 4 Heat and Serve $1.25 each = $5
    Buy 2 sesonings $1 ea = $2
    -$4 (H & S Q)
    -$2 (seasonings peelie)
Pay $1 plus tax, get $3 OYNO
    $2 MM!
    :)

Taco night here we come!!! YUM

  • Karen says:

My Kroger will only double up to 4 of the same coupon…I think different stores have different rules.

    • Lisa says:

Email corporate. They will give you a specicfic policy for the store you shop at. My Kroger will only double 8 like coupons. The register stops at 8 like coupons. So if it’s a decision the manager is making on his own, have the policy with you. Of course corporate may state it could vary, but it wouldn’t hurt! Also, sometimes IPs are limited but hard copy Qs aren’t. It does vary per region!!

Just another note, I had another store I frequent say they limited like coupons to 6. I asked my usual cashier and she said, “no”… he must have misread/misunderstood the policy. They were limiting like IPs, but not hard copies. Make sense??

    • Erin says:

I wouldn’t waste my time emailing corporate in this case. They’re slow to respond and always fall back on the “discretion of the manager” excuse when you question their arbitrary coupon rules. I’ve had better luck calling customer service, but you’d be in for a wait. Love Kroger deals, but they really need some work on customer service.

  • Rita says:

This is working at Meijers as well :)

  • Lisa says:

As for the peelies, I saw them on boxes at Walmart and Schnucks- I just took the ones of the boxes of shells I bought to use them at Kroger. The shells tend to be cheaper at Schnucks and Wally world, so I get them there.

  • Karen says:

the old elpaso coupon on coupons.com disappeared on me…I can’t find it now, and it didn’t print out. anyone have another zip code where I might find it? thanks

    • nicole says:

      Try 46143, 66576, or 92111

      • Karen says:

I still can’t find it. I’m thinking it might have reached it’s print limit, or they took it down for some reason…Let me know if anyone else has any zipcodes to try.

        • Anna says:

I didn’t see anymore printables available, either. I bought mine from thecouponmaster.com when they first came out. You could check and see if she has anymore. The ones she got in her area are $1.00/1.

  • bfam says:

Can’t find the ElPaso Q on coupons.com either. Tried several zip codes. Anyone have one that works?

  • Lolo says:

My Kroger affiliate will only double ONE of a like coupon. :( Can’t take part in this deal unless it is able to be done in seperate transactions and accumulates on your card. Does anyone know if that can be done? Thanks for the info if you know…

  • IndyMom says:

Meijer is also doing this Cat promo…… I haven’t printed the coupon yet but I’m hoping that it doesn’t say “DND” on it because my Meijer just changed their doubling policy.. their machines Will double but then the cashiers go through and manually erases the double. My Kroger on the other hand doubles all $0.50 even if you have like 30 of same with DND on them; printed or actual coup!! Kroger Rocks!!!

  • Melissa says:

Has anyone tried the Heat and Serve products? I have a bunch of coupons and was wondering what the price was, what varieties there are, and lastly, if they taste good!

    • Lisa says:

just had th eblack beans for lunch! I made burritos and they were delicious! Other varieties include FIESTA AND sANTE fE rICE. i GOT A FEW OF EACH, BUT THE BEANS ARE THE “HEALTHIEST” AND MOST VERSITLE. oops, sorry about the caps-

  • Anonymous says:

Where are these heat & serve items found in the store?

  • April says:

I live in GA and the Old El Paso Heat & Serve side dishes are $1.99 – they’re not on sale here – bummer. I even rang them up on Self Checkout just in case – no luck.

  • Becky says:

I got this same catalina at Winn Dixie on Saturday.

  • IndyMom says:

I can’t find this coupon anywhere!!! Must be printed out :(

  • amy says:

my kroger will only double three like coupons per transaction, so i can’t do the deal suggested by collin, but:

    4 Heat & Serve = 5.00
    4 .50/1 Qs (3 double) = -3.50
2 seasoning packs (use buy 2 EL Paso products, get seasoning free peelies)

Total: 1.50 OOP, get $3 OYNO catalina

not bad, plus we like the rice, so i had already ordered coupons planning to get a bunch of these while they were on sale. the cat deal is just an extra bonus!

  • Monique says:

My walmart had these on clearance for .50 so I was able to get the free :) gotta love it

  • April says:

Thanks for the great scenario Lisa! I’m planning to do this plus the Cellfire soft Q for a $2.50 MM!

    Buy 4 Heat and Serve $1.25 each = $5
    Buy 2 sesonings $1 ea = $2
    -$4 (H & S Q)
    -$2 (seasonings peelie)
Pay $1 plus tax, get $3 OYNO
    $2 MM!

  • Kristin says:

I just did this deal this morning at my Krogers, and bought 3 rice and 1 black bean, and 2 seasoning packets. I used 4 $.50 off coupons, and 2 peelies for free seasoning coupons wyb 2 old el paso items. It printed out 2 $3.00 off your next beef or chicken purchase! 2! I’m not sure why, or if it was a fluke, but this was a huge moneymaker for me! The rice and black bean sides were $0.33, so my total was $1.32, and I got back $6.00 in catalinas.

  • anna phillips says:

I actually did this last week at Giant Eagle, I had the heat and serve coupons from the paper and online and ended up paying .25 each, I bought three packs of seasoning a well, I didn’t know I would get the three dollars off the meat coupon so that was just a bonus…

  • Tracy says:

Can’t find the coupons anywhere, but just ordered 20 off e-bay for $1.80 not bad. does anybody know when these will go off sale?

  • Melody says:

For those that don’t have a Kroger, I have an Albertsons scenario written up here, with Old El Paso refried beans. You could also buy the taco shells at $1.67 each. I did the refried beans scenario this morning and it worked great. Also found a bonus buy package of ground beef for $6.21 with a $3 store coupon + $3 catalina. 21 cents for 4 lbs of beef!
    Here’s the scenario: http://beautifulfrugallife.blogspot.com/2010/01/albertsons-old-el-paso-catalina.html

  • dawn says:

The cat is also at Safeway. Also Safeway has the booklet ” Simple Affordable Meals” the last three pages are coupons (Safeway coupons) so you can match up with manu coupons to get a better deal. Old El Paso taco shells are on the first coupon page in the booklet. Some sweet deals in this coupon booklet. Use the cellfire, shortcut and safeway ecoupons for great deals.

  • Anna says:

I got a printout of an advertisement for another Catalina deal going on at Kroger when I checked out yesterday. It’s a Pillsbury deal going on from 01/25-01/31 on refrigerated baked goods.

Buy 4 and get $2.00 OYNO
Buy 5 and get $3.00 OYNO
Buy 6 and get $4.00 OYNO

Must be in one transaction. No rainchecks allowed. Catalina coupon that prints will expire 02/21/10.
All the Pillsbury products are currently included in the Mega Event Kroger has going on right now so Wahoo!!!
    Hope this helps you all!

  • mary says:

Is this at all krogers or certain regions?

    • Ellen says:

I was wondering the same thing. I had a $1.00 OYNO print out when I purchased 4 seasoning packets & 2 green chilies cans. It didn’t say anything about $ on beef or chicken. I wanted to verify that this is all Krogers because I don’t want to ‘waste’ my side dish coupons.

  • kim says:

no el paso on my coupons.com… is there a zip I should use?

  • Wylene says:

How does the Old El Paso Catalina promo work? If I have earned 3 $3 Catalinas for beef or chicken, can I use all 3 on a single $9 chicken/beef purchase? Or do I need to use one Catalina per chicken/beef item?

Also, if I use a Catalina to buy chicken/beef but am also purchasing 6 more more Old El Paso products to generate another Catalina, will my $3 ONYO Catalina still print out or do I need to do them in separate transactions?

Thanks so much! I am new to the Catalina deals.
