Oh my goodness, I am laughing so hard! (Quietly, of course… as I am trying to get my little one to go back to sleep seeing that it is the middle of the night!) As soon as you said, “Cheesecake Factory,” I was thinking, “Boy, I hope she made a reservation…” Aauughh! My husband and I only made that mistake once over there, and if you can’t get in one of those restaurants, you can’t get in any of them! We like that place at about 1pm on a Sunday.
It was great fun seeing you in my hang out spots! Oh, and yeah, NEVER drive past the stadium during an event… ha!

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the cheesecake factory. They ALWAYS have a long wait at night, even during the week! Late lunch (2-4pm) is the best time to go. The restaurant you guys ended up eatting at is what is called a “Brazilian” steakhouse. We have quite a few of them were I am in Orlando. (We get a lot of tourists here LOL!) They do serve a lot of meat! They are fabulous! And they are ALWAYS expensive. Usually about $45-60 per person, not including drinks and tip. Hope you enjoyed your belly full of meat!
Have a safe trip home, and don’t let all of the little blips you had on this trip keep you from coming back! Last week we had fabulouse weather! (PS: not to offend any Tampa readers, but everyone is friendlier in O-Town! Tourism and customer service is everything here. We do have the biggest and best vacation spot on the planet!…hint, hint!)

LOL! Girl you crack me up! I love watching your videos. I can so relate to the 4 hours and 3 hour shopping trips!
Then when you started saying how the restaurant serves lots of meat, I immediately thought: Uh-oh, I hope she knows how much THAT is going to cost! That type of restaurant is a Brazilian Steak-house, and from my experience runs about $40 and up per person. We’ve been to one here in Houston and loved it!
I’m so glad you had a great time and I’m jealous! Maybe you’ll come to my neck of the woods??

It sounds like you went to a Brazilian or Portuguese steakhouse and had rodizio. That’s where the waiter comes to your table with a knife and a skewer of meat, and he slices some meat and puts it on your plate. In northern NJ, we have some of these restaurants in the Ironbound section of Newark. You are right, you really have to like meat! Also, to my taste, the meat is a bit salty. It is delicious, although not inexpensive!
Even when things aren’t going the way you planned, you and your sister seem to have so much fun!

Haha! Yeah, I think anyone who lives near one of these types of restaurants knew what was coming the second she started taking about the meat! Since I’m in Orlando, we have quite a few. Between servicing the many south American tourists, and the fact that when most people come here they throw “budgets” to the wind, they can stay in business even in this economy!

girl, that’s ANY restaurant. if you read the calorie count on say…Chili’s you’ll realize most entrees are about 1000-1500 calories.

Collin, I understand the excitement over the Knox coupon – I was excited too, but please read the e-mail below regarding the gelatine coupon…. – I know a lot of people who have already used this coupon – who did not realize that knox will not get proper reimbursment as they do not make the product.

I apreciate the info as well. I have used the $4 Knox coupon on gelatine also (no overage) and the coupon didn’t beep. I honestly thought it was for the same company as the wording looks the same. I’m surprised the coupon doesn’t beep or say something on it.

I am from tampa and have been to a restaurant like the one you went to… but we went for a rehearsal dinner for a friend’s wedding and were shocked when we found out how pricey it was and were soooo glad we weren’t paying for it. When you started explaining what it was like, I was like “ohmygoodness! That must have cost a FORTUNE!” and then I started laughing when you realized how much it was but had already started eating. Those places are SUPER expensive!
Oh well, you deserve to eat at a super nice place once in awhile! And also, regarding all the negative comments you get.. you know you hit it big time then because with popularity comes lots of negative criticism. But don’t let it get you down and don’t change a thing, because I LOVE your website and share it with all my friends. SO keep up the good work!!!
