Walgreens: Huggies Register Reward Deal Rolling?

NEW UPDATE: From reading through the comments, I noticed that 2 readers reported the Huggies Register Reward actually NOT rolling. Please be aware of this before heading to Walgreens.
I’ve heard from a few sources that the Huggies Register Reward deal at Walgreens is in fact rolling! This means that you can use the Register Reward from the first Huggies deal to help pay for your next huggies transaction and you’ll still get another Register Reward back!
Deal Scenario:
Buy Huggies Jumbo Pack Diapers or Pull-Ups $8.99
Use the $2/1 coupon from here: IE or Firefox or the $2 coupon from here
Use the $1/1 Walgreens coupon from the Walgreens Coloring Book
Pay $5.99
Get back a $3RR
Then…
Buy Huggies Jumbo Pack Diapers or Pull-Ups $8.99
Buy a inexpensive “filler” item for your coupon to item ratio
Use the $2/1 coupon from here: IE or Firefox or the $2/1 coupon from here
Use the $1/1 Walgreens coupon from the Walgreens Coloring Book
Plus, use the $3 Register Reward from the previous deal
Pay ONLY $2.99 (+ whatever the filler item cost)!
BUT then get back another $3 Register Reward and do this deal AGAIN!
**There are also $1/1 and $1.50/1 coupons in the 1/17SS, so if you can’t print anymore $2/1 coupons, use these instead! You’ll pay a little more out of pocket, but still score a sweet deal on Huggies diapers!

Deamfb, I think that is usually the case, but this Huggies scenario seems to be an exception! I think that’s why Collin made a special post about it. Hooray! I’m off to Walgreens to buy diapers! I never thought i’d be so excited to buy diapers!

None of my local stores had it so I sent in an emai to corporate saying something along the lines that I would be more likely to shop at Walgreens if I could find this book at my local stores. They had some sent from another store and I was able to purchase them 3 days after I sent the email.

so funny because I checked today and there were GOBS of them left in Anderson, IN – but the assistant manager said that they can no longer let you have them back. Don’t know if that varies location to locatin or not

The locations by me have never let me have the coupons back. It wasn’t that big of a deal since I got quite a few of them on clearance for $.24 last fall but I finally ran out of the Huggies coupons.

you should be able to get the $1 coupon back because it is an instant store coupon so the stores don’t need to keep that. it wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep the coupon since they don’t expire till the end of march. if the manager insists on keeping the coupon & not returning it you, I would contact corporate on it. Also, the coupon does work with sale prices….just depends on the cashier. i’ve used it several times at several stores with no problems.

I just found these books for the FIRST TIME EVER in my local Wags. I have looked and looked for months! They were back in the pharmacy- there was a rack of brochures there and they were in their own little rack on the top of the bigger rack. Very obscure! I snagged a couple of them- still ringing $.99. I used them Sunday on the Huggies deal and plan to do more tomorrow– they did not keep my coupons- handed them back no problem.
If someone needs these coupon books, my email addy is trudibeth77@verizon.net. I can pick more up (assuming they are still in stock- they had plenty the other day) for you for a Paypal payment of actual cost + postage stamp (I’d just mail the coupons- not the entire book, to save on shipping cost).

Oh sheesh– I keep losing where I’ve previously posted- sorry for all the duplicate posts. I’m getting turned around! I’m just trying to help out those of you who do not have the Children’s Activity Book. I know my Wags often has printed (copied) IVC coupons for customers to use and I know some people have had success using copies of the CAB coupons– so even better than mailing them… I have them scanned into my computer and I can email them to you. You can see if you can use them that way or just have the cashier enter the code (many of them will do that). My email address is above- just contact me if you want me to email a copy.

I accidentally rolled this yesterday and my RR did NOT print again. I’m in the Portland Oregon area. I had him return the item and bought it again, super nice cashier, helped me work it all out. There were so many fantastic deals this weekend, I did like 9 transactions to take advantage of them all!

With Collin’s second scenario you will need a filler item so that you can use the register reward. For each manufacturer coupon you need an item. The Register Reward is a manufacturer coupon so you will need a ‘filler’ so that you can use the RR. If you do not have a ‘filler’ then when they scan the RR it will beep and you will not be able to use it. HTH’s!

The coloring books in the Valentine section (that are usually 2/$1) have an in ad coupon for 3/$1. I used this as a cheap filler.

Be careful – my experience has been that usually the RRs will roll for the first day (Sunday) an dthen by Monday it’s all fixed in the system and no more rolling, so you’re left with the RRs NOT printing out on your second transaction!
Can someone confirm that they ARE in fact able to roll this as of today (Monday)? Because it sounds from the poster above that it’s not the case any more.

Blizzard-
At Walgreens you may use a manufactures coupon & a Walgreens coupon (that is what people have been getting from the coloring books in the pharmacy) BUT you need one item for each coupon to “attach” itself to.
So you would want to buy 1 pack of diapers & something cheap, like candy, so you would be able to use 2 coupons.

I just got back from two different wags to do two Huggies ‘Pull-ups” transactions. BOTH times the Wags Coloring Book ($1) off beeped and both times i had tons of filler items. I used that q last just to make sure that my $2 q for Huggies (manufacture) would work first. It clearly shows two pictures of Huggies on this Coloring book coupon and one is the Pull-ups. Can anyone explain what is happening? Neither time would the cashier put in the info.

I had the same issue with Huggies diapers. (The regular white pack). The cashier said she couldn’t push it through. E-mailing corporate b/c I just bought the coloring book especially for this sale!

The coloring book coupons specify for regularly priced item only. Since the huggies are ringing up on sale, they alert the cashier.

I had this same thing happen to me, and the response from the manager was the same! Because the huggies are on sale the coupon from the coloring book would not work!

I had some trouble a week or two with the Huggies deal and using the Coloring Book coupon. The manager was nice and took me to the photo center to ring me up and figure it out. We found it worked if it was the last coupon scanned. Hope that helps!

I had an issue with the Pull Ups, also (with the coupon from the Wags activity book). I was buying both Little Snuggles (Huggies Supreme) diapers AND Pull Ups. No issues with the diapers, but the Pull Ups would NOT work. Since I was checking out in Photo (because I had SO many transactions), the cashier looked closely at the Wags q and saw no reason it should not work. So he had some other promo going on in photo and punched in that promo code for $2 off– he did this for every other transaction of Pull Ups (since it was supposed to be $1/1). It was really nice of him- I was very appreciative! There is no reason that q shouldn’t work!

Another thought– I know some people have had success using printed copies of the q’s. In fact, my Walgreens often puts out photo-copied coupons (IVC) for the customers to take/ use. And as another poster said, sometimes they’ll just take the code. I’d be happy to scan and email you a copy of the coupons, if you want to try that instead of having the actual ones mailed. I bought Huggies on Sunday, and no RR. Manager did it twice and no go. She just adjusted the price and I left with extra cheap diapers. So the RR system may have some glitches that are being worked out.

The activity book coupon has been beeping on me for the Pull-Ups for awhile now; must be something about the coding. I have been to several stores and each time a manager was called over to adjust the price of the item down by $1 to compensate for the coupon not going through.

I agree. I also have had issues with the CAB Pull ups coupon beeping in the past & the manager refused to accept it because it beeped. The beeping had nothing to do with the fact that the item was on sale because I have tried using it when the item was full price & it still beeped.

I did the transaction 8 times today for pull ups and the coloring book coupon beeped for me too but the manager just price adjusted it down to 7.99 to make up for the coloring book coupon.. i thought it was probably since it was the night time pull ups but it was every type of pull ups.. man this was an awesome deal! no problems and probably my most SUCCESSFUL walgreens trip yet! Plus the gree dove body wash was an awesome deal too!

I found the coloring books on the clearance end cap at my Walgreens. They did not have a clearance sticker price on them but the cashier told me they were $0.49! I love it when something costs less than what you were expecting.

I have been rolling the huggies deal then the dove mens care deal. It works really nicely. I have been using the Valentines pencils with the IVC coupon as a cheap filler. If you don’t have the CAB coupon my cashier told me if I had the code I could use it and not actually have the coupon. Since it is a IVC coupon they don’t actually have to take them from you. May just be my store and cashier but YEAH!!!

I wasn’t sure about it rolling, so I just bounced using that RR with the RR from the Dove Men’s Care RR. In other words, I’d use the Dove Men’s Care Body Wash $6RR while buying Huggies Diapers (plus the $2 coupon), and the Huggies $3RR while buying the Dove’s Body Wash!

I just got back from doing this deal and first bought the Dove Men’s care and then used the $6 RR to buy the huggies and then the $3 RR to buy the Dove’s back and forth between the two items (1 per transaction) and ended up saving over $40 on the diapers

I live in KY and my deal rolled for me. I checked H2S on my phone and didn’t even pay attention to see there was a ‘rolling’ issue so I was pleasantly surprised to see that I got an even better deal than I thought.
Now I have to remember to get that darn ‘filler item’ when using my register rewards. I was also able to get some cheap Benadryl by using the coupon in the coloring book and one from a pharmacy book they had out maybe a month or so ago. YEAH!!!

I also did this transaction in Iowa City Iowa yesterday. The make up counter clerk, Diana, was the best.
My 1st transaction was for the dove men’s wash, I used a $1.50 Coupon I had printed out last week, 2 packs of clearance cookies (.50 ea), and a $5 rr from John Freida from last week.
Trans #2 was huggies 8.99- 2.00 printable- 1.00 Childrens activity book Q (she did not keep), 2 more clearance cookies (.50 ea), and then paid with my $6 rr from dove on my first transaction.
For trans #3 I got another body wash, – $1.50 Q, and 1 clearance cookie (.50), then I used my $3 huggie RR from trans #2.
I then rolled between transaction 2 & 3. They did not limit me and had plenty of everything. I ended up with 10 body washes, 10 packs of huggies, 10 cans of water cookies, 3 fun pad coloring books, 6 sharpies (clearance .24), and 6 truffle 3 muskateers all for around $30. I was so amazed and so pleased with my cashiers help and patience doing many transactions. On a note before I get flamed from others, when another customer came up, I let them ahead of me and even shared my extra coupons with them too.

I did this transaction 5 times and was able to use the $2 coupon and rolled my register reward each time and it printed. The clerk told me it wasn’t going to work but i said hey lets try it. And it worked!!! BUT my wags coloring book coupon for $1 off was expired. She said the huggies coupon in there expired on 3/31/09. So is there a new coloring book with an updated coupon?

I used the little valentines pencils 5/$1 and the little valentines bags for 25 cents for filler items and it worked great! pull ups did beep when the coloring book coupon was used but the manager just price adjusted… can’t beat free dove bodywash and cheap diapers as well as the theraflu and cheap razors!!! I was able to buy one of the Fusion razors and a pack of diapers and then used those same RR’s on the next transaction with the same items in that transaction. I also had some other things I was buying along with the Huggies and razor so maybe that’s why it let me use them??

I was able to purchase the Huggies in separate transactions and received the RR each time. I also used $2 manu coupon. The only thing to remember with Wal is that they count RR as a manu coupon so you would have to a filler item. Also I live in Central Virginia. Hope this helps!

Went to Wags today and got a lot of great deals, the Huggies, Dove Men’s bodywash, Schick razor, and the Secret Clinical, all supposed to get RR back. But then I got to the checkout and no RR. The guy said if it was raining or bad weather no RR print…. WHAT. So just wanted to give everyone a tip that if the weather is “bad” you may want to ask the cashier if the RR machine is running before you find your items…. I drove to another Wags and did the same deals with $5.00 in coupons for those items and after the razor rebate and RR, a total of $6.25 OOP. SO WORTH THE TROUBLE!!!

I even got the number of another store and called and they had no idea either. I still got 2 deals, but I was going to get 6 if I found the coupon. Sadly, I tried the Huggies deal a couple of weeks ago at both of my local Wag’s and only got 1 RR at the first store because I used a 3.00 RR on my first deal. The 2nd one didn’t print so I asked for the manager and she kindly printed the RR for me. So lesson learned in this one, if you use a RR you will not get another one to print! This is actually the 2nd time I’ve ran into this so I think it’s like a Wag’s law lol. Both stores told me the same story, so guess I’m s.o.l. on rolling the RR’s here. Thanks for listening

OK, so I made some mistakes during my trip cuz I am new to couponing. Can any of you veteran couponers come up with a deal scenario for me using the Dove wash and Huggies and maybe the 3 Musketeers for a filler?? I ended up buying 5 pullups and 4 washes plus candy and spent too much oop. I just can’t seem to wrap my head around this! Thank you and God bless!
