Target Deals 2/14 – 2/20

Numerous readers are having issues with being able to stack a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon together on one item. Well, the good news is that Target’s coupon policy clearly states that you can use both coupons together on one item. Their policy also states that if the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item, then they can adjust the coupon down. Plus, their coupon policy in now available to view online here! Yay! Print it off and keep it with you every time you shop at Target. You also may want to read more about the coupon issues people have been encountering and what can be done about it here.
**Also, Target is now giving a $0.05 credit for each reusable bag you use when checking out! I’m excited about this. It’s just another great way we’ll be able to save at Target. I would call ahead to make sure your local Target is participating.

Tried getting the Dove hair spray trial size, 97 cents, using the $1.50 coupon. Would not work at our Target store. Transaction would not go through on the cash register. I was told by store manager that for some reason, that coupon would not adjust down to 97 cents; they will not give any credit with coupons.

They should adjust the price down. It says this right in their coupon policy. I always bring the policy with me in case I need to prove my case, which I’ve had to do a couple times. It is definitely frustrating! Good luck!

I’m having a hard time with the target text coupon. I recieved the text from target this morning. Its states to vist target.com/save on the phone, but when I do try and go to the site it doesn’t show the coupon. I have a blackberry…can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong. Do I have to download a certain application to be able to see the target coupons?

i have a blackberry and just clicked on the link from the text. It opened up the Internet browser and there was the bar code at the top. when you scroll down it tells you what the coupons are.

I did the deal today (Valentine’s Day) and the sign said the Olay body wash with the bonus Total Effects trial size or the 8.4 oz. Total Effects were the ones included in the promotion. They’re priced at $5.50 each. I bought the 2 razors & 3 body washes and it worked – got both gift cards and it will qualify for the $15 Olay rebate. Good luck! And, don’t feel bad about returning the stuff and trying again. Of course, you won’t get your coupons back, which is a bummer.

I bought 4 razors and 3 olay body wash and received 3 Gift Cards. The sign under the body wash said the Gift card deal was only on bonus packages, mine came with a free body lotion and was $5.50. I also scanned them at the price checker to make sure I bought the right ones.

I tried the Olay/Fusion/Venus deal tonight. The scenario listed for 3 Olay states Total Effects, however, I got 3 of those with the buy one Venus Razor get a free Olay body wash. No size or variety was stated on the coupon, so I picked up the largest size of Total Effects body wash, which sold for $7.99. It did take 7.99 off for each, but I did not get the $5.00 gift card for the Olay, only two $5 gift cards for the razors. The gal at the service desk, kindly erased the transaction, gave me my coupons back, and is holding the stuff in the bag til close tomorrow night. I told her I must go home and read the posts to see what I did wrong. We even checked on the shelves, and there was no sign for $5 gift card with purchase of 3 Olay body wash. I will try tomorrow with the other body wash with the trial size attached, however, they are not Total Effects.

As long as you don’t use the gift cards you just “earned” to pay for the same transaction (so pay for trans1 with the cards from trans1) you can do anything you want with a target gift card, including flip the deal, which is what you are talking about.

It depends on the region; i’m in Dallas and like you, we have the garlic bread offer, not the ice cream. Collin is in NC and it seems like she got the ice cream as well as other places in the east and middle of the country.

I went to Target yesterday and had a terrible time with the coupons. I had to have all my coupons “inspected” before I could check out. One of the people tried to say I couldn’t use both the $2 off Venus coupons, with the Buy One, Get 1 Olay body wash. But then they let me do it…however, I did try to use the Quaker coupons with the single serve, Express bowls and they wouldn’t let me. They said that’s not what was pictured on the coupon and I explained that it didn’t specify a size, but they wouldn’t do it. I also couldn’t use the BOGO coupon for the Herbal Essence shampoo and styler with the travel size. They are getting very picky!!!

Yeah, same here, and I rarely have coupon problems. Of course, I broke my cardinal rule of couponing–I did small orders with coupons that I knew would beep, like the Johnson’s coupon on Little Buddies. The clerk told me that it had to be one of the items pictured. Never had a problem using it before–even with the same cashier. I just had her take it off, because I do think it is a bit questionable. Buddies are really toddler products, not baby products. But a cashier at WalMart questioned the the $4 on any 2 Rolaids coupon, and said she they really don’t take them because there’s supposed to be a “minimum purchase,” which is absolutely not true, since the coupon doesn’t not state that. But she took it anyway. Go figure. Rules to live by: use “problem” coupons with bigger orders where you aren’t doing too many weird deals!
By the way, the Quaker Oatmeal coupon doesn’t beep on the individual cups of oatmeal. I wasn’t going to use mine in the hopes that a great boxed oatmeal deal would arise, but too often, it ends up being a waste of paper and ink, so I used mine and they went through just fine.

I do the same thing. If I have a coupon that I know has given others trouble, I put it in with a big order and when I’m handing over 20 coupons they hardly take the time to question anything. It’s a shame because we’re not doing anything wrong but because they act that way, we have to be sneaky!

After reading some of the frustrating situations many couponers share, I just want to express appreciation to the checkers and guest service at the Tulsa Target stores. Any problems I ever have, are my own confusion. Tulsa doens’t have oceans, or beautiful mountains, but people that are friendly, helpful, and kind!

Thank you so much for the info about the Razor and Olay deal at Target! I just had to make one change because they only had 2 Venus Razors. I purchased the following:
2 Fusion Razors, 2 Venus Razors and 3 Olay body washes for a total of $21.96. I used 2 of the $4.00 off fusion coupons, 2 of the $2.00 Venus coupons and 2 Buy 1 Get 1 Free Olay body washes. I got 3 $5.00 gift cards. So with the gift cards I paid $6.96 and will send the $15.00 rebate for a 8.04 moneymaker. I wish they would have had 1 more Venus razor so I could have got the other body wash for free but this was a FANTASTIC deal!

I ended up doing the Venus/Fusion/Olay deal, but I did have troubhle with the BOGO coupons. I think it was because my BOGO coupon mentioned a specific Venus razor ( I can’t remember which one) and the 6.99 Venus was for the Breeze type – not the one mentioned on the BOGO coupon. They let me do it anyway, but the supervisor had to make the adjustment.

The razor on the coupon is the Spa Breeze. My Target had just 2 left, so I was lucky. I did this same deal last week with the Embrace razors that were on sale (and had the same gift card promo), so we’re lucky they did it again this week so we can qualify for the Olay rebate!

If I am not mistaken, you can get an extra receipt and apply the Venus/Fusion/Olay deal not only for the Olay rebate but for the P&G $100 Coupon book rebate as well. Correct me if I am wrong.

I asked the checker at Guest Service tonight about a duplicate receipt. She stated that it was important that I told her before she had completed the transaction, because she only has about 15 seconds to hit some button to print another receipt. Does anyone else know if this is correct.

how do i get to the site to find out what the target mobile coupons are. i don’t have a blackberry, i got the email but don’t know what to do, when i go to the site, it doesn’t show what the coupons are.

My text gave me a specific web address to go to. I don’t have web capability on my phone either, so I typed in the address in my computer and it gave me a barcode and listed two coupons. I printed it off and took it to the store and they scanned it. It took the $2 off for the Venus razor, no beeping! I just told the cashier I don’t have the ability to go on the web using my phone. No problems!

I scored some more awesome deals at target today….2 packs of kids listerine 4.49 buy 3 get 5 dollar gift card and I had 1.00 off coupons for each. I got more razors, and more free body wash…and all of my 5 dollar gift card scenerios worked except for the body wash. The body wash doesn’t have a 5 dollar gift card deal regardless of which scent according to their customer service, and there is no advertised posting.

My target said that I cannot use a coupon with a Buy 1 Get 1 coupon.
Example; Last week, I had a $2 coupon for Scrub Bubbles Shower Cleaner Refills, I also had a Buy 1 Get 1 coupon… the manager told me I couldn’t stack these, even after I explained to her that I am using ONE coupon per ITEM! I had 2 items, and 2 coupons…
I just read the Target coupon policiy, I didn’t see specific info about using a B1G1 coupon with another coupon. Any Suggestions?

Uhh…my store pulled the same thing. I went in with all coupons and correct products in hand.
Cashier said coupon stated “One Per Purchase” said I could only buy one razor and one free body wash per transaction.
I tried to nicely explain it meant ‘per item’ not ‘per transaction’ she wouldn’t budge. She called the manager over, he agreed with her wouldn’t allow it unless I split everything up.
I called Target Corporate later that day, talked with someone who said “per purchase” and “per transaction” is objective and can be taken as per item or per transaction depending on the person.
Never really got a straight answer. I was so irritated. Told her I’m going to call P&G Corporate tomorrow when their offices are open and explain the whole situation to them and see what they have to say about it.

Hi, I just got back from Target. I planned on buying the Special K cereal with the Buy one get one free and a target coupon. Well, when I got there, some of the boxes had a coupon stuck on it that you could get a specail K protein drink, or bars free with purchase. So, I was able to snag 4 boxes of cereal
Special K with strawberries (2)
then the free granola Special K
each box had a free coupon with purchse so
purchased 2 protein shakes (4 pack – total of 8 shakes)
and 2 boxes of protein bars.
I also used target coupons on top of the MQ, so I think I either broke even or made money. I bought a few other items (Target tin foil priced at 2.00 and target dryer sheets priced at 3.99)…
My OOP for 4.17 for all of it. I saved $39

I wanted to tell you about the bandaid deal that I did today (twice, at two different locations). I bought 2 of the baindaids that trigger the free neosporin. 1 was $2.59 and one was $2.39 (you could use any combination of the $2.39, $2.59 or $2.89 products) This was a total of $4.98 plus the free Neosporin. I then used (2) $2.00 off a johnson and johnson product from the January 2010 safeway coupon book and then I used (1) $1.00 off a neosporin coupon from the same Jan. 10 safeway coupon book. They are manufacturers coupons. This took of $5.00 from the total. Therefore I got 2 full sized boxes of bandaids and 1 neosporin for completely free!!! I actually did this twice at each location, thus getting 8 large boxes of bandaids and 4 neosporins totally free. My target(s) rocks!!!

P.s. Has anyone found Pictureka? I found all the card games, but there was not even a space marked on the shelf for it. Oh well.

YAY!!!!! I went to my Target today and scored 4 games: 1 Monopoly, 1 Scrabble, & 2 Pictureka(were all gone from the travel games in the toy dept section but were on a little endcap almost missed them) all with the $4 & $5 off coupons I had and also did the Herbal Essences deal (bought a travel size shampoo got a full size hairspray free!), travel size satin care shave gel 45 cents, travel size suave deodorant 50 cents, 2 My little Pony’s (they were the last ones at my store, one comes with a 30 min,.DVD and the other with a play mat) BOGO coupon so both for $5 total! ALSO was amazed to find GE energy smart 7 pack bulbs on a clearance end cap for $6.98 a pack; I had $1/1 any GE energy smart bulbs coupons (4 of them) so scored 28 very nice energy efficient light bulbs for $24.00! I was unable to find the Dove Mens Care pack but I think I did pretty well otherwise! Thanks for all the great deals; My hubby was really impressed.
Oh and all my coupons worked except one for Sorry game… so I just didn’t end up getting that one…

My target was out of fusion razors, but did have a different fusion razor marked at $4.99. When I checked out I didn’t get a $5 Target gift card (which I had suspected since I scanned it first and the scanner said item not found, no price, no mention of a gift card), so I asked the cashier. He told me that only the Fusion razors that cost $8.99 were included in the deal, but not the $4.99 ones. Tricky since I did indeed purchase a fusion razor and the fusion razors were on the end cap with the venus razors under the tag that said get a $5 Target gift card with the purchase of two. I didn’t really mind since I was also buying bodywash (for free with coupon, and I only paid $0.99 for the razor after coupon) and submitting for the rebate. But please be on the lookout for this, I don’t want anybody to be “fooled” by the $4.99 fusion razor, as it does NOT produce a gift card. Also check your body wash, nothing on any of the shelves at my store produced a gift card.

I think it is an in store deal, like my store in Alabama had a sign posted over several body washes and soaps that were bonus packages that said $5.00 GC with the purchase of 3 so it may just be certain stores.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I am really frustrated with this deal. I went to Target this morning and bought 3 venus breeze razors, 1 gilette fusion and the 3 Olay body washes. Was told that I could only use one coupon per purchase. I tried to explain it meant 1 per item but they said nope they couldnt do it. I walked out. I went to another Target and tried the same transaction and this time because my coupon beeped for the Olay body wash and said Item not found they said that they wouldnt take the coupon. They tried to say it wont work with the Target giftcard deal and then tried to say it was because I bought the Olay BW with a bonus.. AARRGGHH I was sooo frustrated and spoke with another manager that tried to tell me that the coupon wasnt in their system and they couldnt accept it or override it. Soooooo frustrated at Target. Any ideas on why this is not working for me? I do think I handed over the $2 off coupon first and then the BOGO coupon, so has anyone verified that it doesnt beep if they do the opposite?

My Olay coupons beeped every time (3 different trips) but my cashiers just pushed them through. My free Tide stain booster coupon beeps as well. I guess it just depends on your Target/cashier. I never did get the Olay gift card though, and I did purchase some with the bonus as well.

I did the olay gift card with bonus body washes, and my coupons and didn’t have any problems. Again I think it does depend on the cashier! I had a stack of coupons…92.00 worth and she did everyone!! She even let me use all six of my boogie wipe 2.00 off coupons at once even though it states on per person per transaction!

I have a question relating to rebates. I’m relatively new to coupons & rebates. Just started in January. I sent off for several rebates right off the bat. I was VERY careful to fill the rebate forms out correctly & include all receipts and anything else required on the form. I have not received one single check yet though. I know they all say 6 -8 wks…and I’m not quite at 6 wks yet but I’m close. Do they always take that long & DO THEY ALWAYS COME? That is if they are completed correctly. I’m about to send off for the newest Olay rebate and I just wanted to make sure I’m not wasting my time sending off for something that may never be received. Any info on rebates would be sooo much appreciated!!!

Yes, they do come, but by the time the get to me I’ve normally forgotten all about them. I’ve only had one come back that said I didn’t meet the terms, it included directions to re-apply but I didn’t mess with it, it had been way to long to go back and find the info they wanted.
In short, Yes they do finally show up but plan on the 8 weeks not the 6.
I always cash my checks and stash them away, I’ve almost gotten enough back to do a whole week’s worth of shopping with cash!!! $100 (we’re a family of seven, I’m-19-the oldest of five kids.)

I think the mobile “text” coupon is one time only and cannot be emailed to another. If you don’t have internet capability on your phone, but can receive texts, the website it sends you to is http://www.target.com/save (I believe). There it will prompt you to enter your mobile number and bring up your text coupons (assuming you have gotten the text). I printed my coupons/ bar code from there- I tried using my phone first at Target, but it wouldn’t scan. However the printed version worked great. I used both q’s ($2/1 Venus and $1/1 Tide)- after the first q was scanned, it said “1 coupon remaining” or something to that effect. Then the sheet was scanned again and it said “No coupons remaining”. So the coupon can only be used once- and only took off $2, even though I had multiple razors. That’s why I don’t think it can be emailed from person to person – it is coded for a one-time use.
