I’m confused on the Goody’s… there is a $1/1 in the 1/3/10 RP for the Goody’s headache powders, but I don’t find anything for Goody’s hair accessories…. am I missing this?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      it’s not a coupon
      it’s RR…walgreens catalina rewards back

  2. vicki

If the Bumble Bee tuna is $.69 with in-ad coupon and you use the 5/$1.00, wouldn’t that make it an even better deal at $.49?

  3. Flipfloppingmamma

I can’t believe I have to play that stupid game AGAIN for almost free tomato sauce….the things I’ll do for a deal! haha!

    • Lori

I’m not seeing anything about a game. It shows 2 groups of people (culpers and fighters) and then it says bring the payback.. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do any help would make my day. Thanks

      • Mitchell Wischmann

Pick one culper and the Hunt’s lady. and click “Bring the Payback”. Play the game and then click on the Hunt’s lady to get your coupon.

  4. bre

I am just wondering if anyone else has run into the following issues… This week at two different locations I was told by different cashiers that they must take the coupons in a specific order which just happens to be reverse of the order that I want to hand them over. I was told they must take Walgreens coupons first! Also I was told and shown by a manager that all of the coupons in the Walgreens February coupon booklet are manufacturer coupons and thus can not be combined with my manufacturer coupons. I have emailed corporate and I have not heard back yet, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue. Thanks!

    • Missdeally

I’ve had both issues in the past. They always ask me for my walgreens ones first. I have been able to stack the booklet sometimes and not on others. Plus I have had issues with it only deducting it once per item. IMO the monthly booklet isn’t that helpful anymore bc of those issues.

    • am

I have that issue as well. I usually give them all manufacturer coupons first and then pretend like i found more which happen to be walgreens 😛

I’m done with walgreens though, I can’t stand the RR and all the issues I’ve had with trying to use them. I’m all CVS now unless walgreens has something i REALLY need free.

      • Tina

My sentiment exactly! The RR expired 14 days or at times, just 5 days! So it is a constant battle trying not to let them expired. At CVS, they will even let me use a ECB that is expired 1 or 2 days!

  5. Carol

My last trip to Walgreens wouldn’t allow me to use my RR because each item had a manufacturer’s coupon applied to it. My total number of coupons was fewer than the number of items I was buying because some coupons were $1.50 off two soup or two cereal. So in order to use RR (which are considered mfg coupons) you need to have one item per RR that does not already have a mfg coupon applied towards it. The number of Walgreens coupons you use doesn’t seem to matter.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Are you trying to confuse people? lol

    • Tonya

I have never had that issue before. However, yes. You must have one item per coupon/RR. If your coupons and RR equal 10 then you must have 10 items.

    • CHARLES

I had a similar problem even with the one item per rr/coupon.
What happen was the rr i used was over the cost before taxes.
example( not real but made so easy to understand)
      my total $9.50 before taxes
      $10 after taxes
      $10 RR WOULD NOT WORK
      $9 RR WORKED
Remeber you still have to have and ONE item that you have not used a
regular coupon per RR. I HOPE THIS HELPS

      • CHARLES

CAN NOT USE RR TO PAY TAXES.
        SIMPLY IS BETTER!!!!!!

    • Jennifer

I work at Walgreens AND use coupons all the time… manufacture coupons off of 2 items are sometimes coded to apply to both item, thus making them “used” by the coupon and no RR can scan with them. So to be safe when a manufacture coupon is off of 2 items count those as used by the manufacture coupon and get another filler for the RR. It’s not the cashier that won’t let you use the coupon it is the register because of the way the coupon is coded.

    • Jaclyn

I have a really nice cashier in the cosmetic dept that I go to. She told me to ALWAYS use RR first, then manufacturer, then any Walgreens. I have to do the math before I check out because I do not like spending a penny more out of pocket than I have to. Hope this helps! 😛

  7. anon

It has been my experience that if you have a coupon that is something off 2 then the coupon ‘attaches’ to both items – so then you need fillers. There are always some items that I’ll want to use as fillers (this week the mushrooms) so it isn’t a problem – just throw some in if you have $/2 coupons.

  8. Whitney Neely

For the olay rebate when they ask price do you write the retail price or the price you paid after coupons?

    • Cydne

No, it is the price you paid – coupons are considered part of payment. Also, when they look up the price the WG computer system only shows them what the ring-up price was.

      • Whitney Neely

Alright, thank you first time doing a rebate! Wanted to make sure I filled it out right.

  9. Cydne

The Axe online prices are 3.21 for deodorant, 4.11 for shower gels & detailers, 4.49 for hair products & body sprays, and 5.24 for hair styling products. There is a 1 oz body spray for 1.99, but the 25% discount is not applied to it, so I am not sure if it is part of the promo.

Anyhow, the lowest cost movie scenarios I can see would be 5 deodorants for 16.05 2 tickets, or 5 shower gels or detailers for $20.55-$5 coupons=$15.55 & 2 tickets.

If you actually use these items, then that is a good deal, but otherwise it is nearly the same price as tickets here, unless the in-store price is much less.
Let us know if you find out that the 1.99 body spray works, because that would be a good deal.

    • lora

My walgreens would not let me use the $2 off 2 right guard on the bogo deal because they said I was only purchasing 1 because the other was free. I simply explained to them I was in fact buying 2 and that just because they are running a bogo sale doesnt mean I can not use a manufacturer coupon. Then the manager told me the register would not except it. Knowing for a fact it will because I had just did the deal at a different walgreens. Very angry …will be writing the company. Especially because the first walgreens would not let me buy 6 of them. He said there was a limit that he could set because he was the store manager. I told him, okay I will just come back a different day…..but know I dont want to go back at all. Bummed :o(

  10. susie

FYI I just got home from Walgreens and some of the Tylenol Cold medicines have $1.00 peelies on them – and I got to combine them with my $3/2 coupon! So be on the lookout for these boxes (I believe these are the ‘Severe’ medicines).

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I do not see Excedrin coupons for my zip code, does anyone know a zip code that makes the Excedrin coupons show up? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! Thanks….

    • Linda

      http;//www.excedrin.com/offers.shtml

see if that works for a $1 off

    • Linda

      http:www.excedrin.com/offers.shtml

I think you may have to cut and paste it, I’m not good at computer stuff…sorry, hope it works.

    • Jaclyn

I use 92646 on the coupons.com website for the $2 off Excedrin.

    • susie

mine’s 98109 and it shows up.

  12. Linda

It must have been pulled cause the Excedrin Q is no where to be found. 🙁

  13. Lori

I was told by the manager and two other employees that the Excedrin Mentral was NOT generating a $2 RR so I didn’t get it, I was only looking for cheap deals and I would have wanted to do a return and look bad cause the mgr told me it wouldn’t work.

    • Mitchell Wischmann

This deal is confirmed to work. I did it three times at one Walgreens.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have since been back and did it 2x and it works, sometimes we know more than they do, or at least more than they let on.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Bumble Bee tuna coupon is god if you buy 5 and the walgreens limit is 3. Too bad all the research isn’t done first

    • D

I’ve never had a problem going over the “limit” that Walgreens has in the ad, as long as it is only by a couple, and I’m sure Collin has had the same experience, which is why she included it in her list.

    • Jaclyn

My Walgreens never gives me a problem about going over the limit either. I think it’s to stop someone from grabbing like 20 or so. Try it! 😛

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought (3) 3 Musketeers Truffle Crisp Bars today and it did not generate a RR. Although it was only $1, I was still annoyed.

  16. Christina

The menstrual Excedrin IS producing an 2 RR…..just did it in combination with the $2 MQ, worked perfectly….

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Puffs tissue 6 pack to go $1.66 w/in-ad Q; $1 off P & G Q = .66!

  18. Debbie

I took 5 RR to Walgreens tonight that we expiring today. The cashier said it was now the Walgreens policy that you can only use one RR per transaction. So, I had to do 5 different transactions with a line of people behind me. Also, the Walgreens gift card I had made the RR beep, so she wouldn’t take the last one. So I had to get something else, get in line again and use my last RR. What a pain! Has anyone else heard of this?

    • Jaclyn

Try the cosmetic counter- I get WAy better service thre. I have NEVER ever had this problem or even heard of this. Try going to someone else & if youhave time call corporate. You bought the items that produced the original RR’s anyways! 😛

    • Cydne

I had this happen last week – the cashier tried to use more than 1 & the computer would not allow it. I had 7 filler items.

There was also another comment on here 2 or 3 weeks ago, where that happened to someone else.

These aren’t isolated incidents – so I am using up my RR & not going back. Too bad because I have been a good WG customer, but it is almost like they don’t want us to shop there! I don’t get why WG cares so much since they get reimbursed, but perhaps they forget that.

  19. Natalie

    I did this Deal Scenario:
Buy 1 Gillette Deodorant $4.49 (based on on-line price)
    Buy 1 Gillette Body Wash
Use the Buy 1 Deodorant Get 1 Free Body Wash coupon from the 2/7 PG
Use the $1/1 deodorant coupon from the 12/27 PG or 2/21 PG
    Pay $3.49
    Get back a $1.50RR
    Final Cost $1 each!

But it didnt print a RR and also I bought 3 of the truffle crisps and did not get a RR either. I don’t know if it was my store or what…just letting you guys know. And the machine was on because I got RR for other items.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I think the 3 Musketeers deal ended on 02/21. Not sure though.

      • cindy

I tried the 3 Musketeers deal on Mon and it didn’t work, seems to not be valid any more…. I don’t really need the extra chocolate around here but the new truffle bars sure are GOOOOOOD!!!!

  20. annonymous
