Numerous readers are having issues with being able to stack a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon together on one item. Well, the good news is that Target’s coupon policy clearly states that you can use both coupons together on one item. Their policy also states that if the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item, then they can adjust the coupon down. Plus, their coupon policy in now available to view online here! Yay! Print it off and keep it with you every time you shop at Target. You also may want to read more about the coupon issues people have been encountering and what can be done about it here.

**Also, Target is now giving a $0.05 credit for each reusable bag you use when checking out! I’m excited about this. It’s just another great way we’ll be able to save at Target. I would call ahead to make sure your local Target is participating.

omg, I am in coupon heaven…..I love seeing what I can get for free or just about, my husband tells me to slow down we are running out of closet space……

  2. Betsy

This is the first time I submitted a deal and it got put in the list, woo hoo! I was happy I finally found such a good deal (the gilette mens for free). For some reason I got really excited to see my name, my boyfriend didn’t understand. 🙂 Happy shopping everyone!

    • Amiah

      Hey Betsy,

Where in the store is the body wash located? I looked on my soap aisla and it was only the 12 oz 🙁 ~ I checked the trail sizes too and nothing….

      • Betsy

At my Target in Florida they were on the same aisle as the body washes but in a smaller rack at the end. Hope you can find them!

  3. andrea

I was confused about the game coupons because the wording says “any 1 Scrabble game,” but the fine print says “only for item indicated.” I was afraid to try to score the deal at Walmart-that they would not accept the coupon for the product. I am confused. Is the coupon good for any Scrabble game, regardless of the picture? Thanks for any clarification.

    • andrea

Okay, I went to Walmart today to use the game coupons. I purchased one Scrabble slam card game and one monopoly card game. I used both of the q’s. For some reason, the scrabble one went through (after the cashier checked the validity of the q with the manager), but the monopoly q would not go through. I took the game to customer service with the receipt and the cashier refused to even try it, but told me a bogus reason for it not going through. I told her it didn’t make sense for one to go through but not the other.

  4. Cydne

I used the Scrabble & Pictureka coupons on the card games last week at Target with NO BEEPS! They scanned just fine.

  5. Anon

Has anyone found the Purevia sweetener at a regular target? Does anyone have any suggestions about where to look? I’ve looked next to the sugar, and next to the coffee and tea. No luck!

    • Linda

this week Safeway deals you can get a box of it on sale for 1.99 with the 2 off Q, that makes it FREE!
      Sale ends Tuesday.

  6. Dena Lundy

    I love “cute” prices!

  7. Megan

I just wanted to give a heads up on the Gillette Body wash for FREE.. The coupon beeps but the cashier just pushed it through. GREAT DEAL Thanks Betsy and Collin!!

  8. Marisa

So frustrated with Target. Spent so much time picking out some travel size items and they wouldn’t honor the coupons because it would give me some of the products for free. The coupons did not state that they couldn’t be used for travel size items and when I asked the manager about it she really couldn’t explain herself. She said that is not what coupons were ‘intended’ for. I said that if the manufacture didn’t want me using the coupon on a travel size item they would state that on the coupon, like other coupons do…going to try the travel section at Meijer this afternoon…hopefully with more luck!

    • monalissa

SO sorry, that happened to you. Sometimes we can’t really control our Target shopping experience. Yesterday, it was the last day of the Venus razor gc deal. I had all my coupons on hand only to be denied by the manager saying I can’t use the free olay bw coupon with the $2 off venus razor. Went home empty handed. My husband and I felt so frustrated because we were able to buy the same exact items yesterday in that Target with a different manager on duty. But then again, we should just take time to chill and then just get back on our feet.. shopping for free stuff yet again! =)

      • tjlaurenmarrow

We can control how our experiences go! You need to stand up for yourself and show the coupon policy and/or call corporate if you need to. If we don’t do anything about the problem, nothing is going to change. I’ve called corporate twice now and i have had wonderful results (after finally getting to the right person on the phone!).

        • Couponing4myTacoma

Trying not to sound harsh but I so agree with you. I just don’t feel bad anymore for folks that won’t stick up for themselves. If you chose to let someone treat you like a doormat, esspecially when you know they are wrong, your choice.

        • monalissa

Yeah, I actually stood up for myself, I was politely explaining to him that the free q was for the olay bw and the $2 off was for the razor. But what can I do if they won’t take my q? All I can do at that time was just have him void the transaction. It was Saturday night so I didn’t have the chance to call corporate. But when I got home, I wrote to Target corporate and expecting a response from them by Monday.

    • Couponing4myTacoma

Next time tell the manager you would like them to call target corporate and you will wait until they get an answer. You shouldn’t have any more trouble… all it takes is one call to corporate and your trips to target will be better.

      • Nikki

Yeah, I had a similar experience at my Target yesterday. Ended up getting a snotty cashier but in the end she did honor the coupons I had. It took a while but mission accomplished.

  9. Nicole More

The Dole Salad Mixes are $2.99 B1G1 Free then use the 75 cent off coupon from Coupons.com and you get 2 bag of salad for $2.24 total.

  10. monalissa

In my local Target, Walnut Creek, CA, I found the 4pack dove for men soap bonus pack tagged as $3.38, but when I checked out, it scanned for $1.98! So with $1 target q + $1.75 printable manu q, I was able to get $0.77 overage! be sure to hand Manu first before target q.

  11. Tara

Went to two targets and can’t find the grasshopper cookies for 1.52. They are priced higher in my region

    • Rebecca

Mine, too! I’m in mid-MO. Our Grasshopper cookies were $2.59. 🙁 Boooo! I even checked them on the price scanner, thinking maybe the tag was wrong. Oh, well….got the Scrabble Slam game and some other decent deals. Thanks, Collin!!!!!

  12. Kate

My two local Targets don’t have the Rayovac batteries in the $1 section up front anymore. In fact, I can’t find them anywhere throughout the whole store, even on random endcaps or in the battery section itself. Does anyone else’s Target still have them up front, or even at all?

    • Amanda F

I just posted the same thing, I think Target got wise to those coupons. They will be back out after the coupon expires! ;o)

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

at my target there’s TON OF keebler cookies for $1.57
    san diego, ca

I’ve had no problem with hasbro coupons just the sorry one but the walmart has $5 off and I went through self-checkout…no problems and the cashier was very nice

I did have some problems with johnson $1 on trial size but she pushed it through

  14. Amanda F

Has anyone located the Rayovac batteries in the dollar spot? There were there after the coupon came out, and shortly after…gone from our $ spot. I’ve checked a couple other Target stores and nothing. I have a bunch of the coupons that I would love to use.

    • Amy

Mine had them at Christmas time… I haven’t seen them since.

  15. Jody

Target also has Method laundry detergent on sale this week and if you use the $4.00 coupon Collin posted a few days ago, it should work out to be a pretty good deal (not sure of exact amounts). So far, I’ve been pleased with the Method laundry detergent.

  16. Nikki

I have never seen the rayovac batteries at my target. Also, I got the dreaded beep on a ton of my coupons at Target the other day. I was not able to use the Johnson and Johnson baby q on the soap buddies. My cashier said they are not baby items, even though in my target they are located in the baby section. I also had difficulty with the BOGO herbal essences. The cashier put it through, but was really confused by the q wording. She proceeded to comment on how much she hates coupons and how she was supposed to be going home, but now that I was using all these coupons, she was probably going to be there an hour later and get called into her manager’s office. I apologized that she had to deal with that, but I am not sorry about all the money that I saved by using my q’s.

    • Anonymous

Wow, you should have taken her name down and reported her. How unprofessional, not good customer service!!!

    • Jaclyn

I had a very simular situation a few months back. The employee continued to yell & humiliate me in front of the manger which said NOTHING! I called Corporate, got the run around & NO RESULTS!!! Urgh!

  17. am

I went to target and got a whole bunch of the travel size items. The cashier was very frustrated with me and just cancelled my transaction and called supervisor (in training). The supervisor spent the next 15 mins reading coupons inside out and finally gave me the items but crossed out the coupon value and wrote it the actual amount (ie 97 cents for baby shampoo). I tried to tell her that Traget will get a $1 back regardless so why change it to 97 cents but she said “you can’t make money on coupons”. I swear couponing is only easy when you get a cashier who flat out doesn’t care.

    • Anon

Wow. I cannot believe everyone has such issues with coupons. I have yet to get people who either won’t take them or cause a scene! Bizarre. My target never has a problem with it, they…and the managers, know exactly what I am doing and never say anything!! Rite aid tells me “don’t be embarrassed to come save money here!” And Walgreen’s did 8 separate transactions for me yesterday, and even said, “You need to do all of these separately to get the RR’s to print out.” Crossing my fingers that it keeps going this way for me, and that it starts working for everyone else! I hate reading through the comments for useful info and only find complaining about things that don’t work:(

  18. Amber in SC

This is not really realated to Target deals, but I wanted people to see it. I bought some Pampers as part of the Rite Aid Visa gift card deal and I don’t usually use them, so I have some gifts to grow points if someone wants the code. My email is daisygirl713@yahoo.com.
    Thanks!!

    • Amber in SC

The code has been given away. 🙂

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What zip code can I use to get the Target coupon for Planters 11.5 oz. mixed nuts? Thank you!

    • yesenia campos

i think you have to sign up for the target mobile coupons to get that specific planters coupon, I got mine today through text.

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Target did not have the Gillette Men’s body wash on sale. They were $3.99 each. They also did not have any of the smaller sized ones.

  21. Jen Clark

my target in CT is now printing out register coupons (like the ones at the grocery store); not like the ones on the register tape receipt like thingy! It clearly states on those coupons that you can combine a manuf and target coupon!

  22. Tricia

The Gillette body wash was not on sale at my store but i did score the two smaller sized ones for the 4$ off 2 coupon. I got them free plus they put it through at the coupon value. I also got free dental floss too. It was 97c and i had the 1$ coupon. Got 3c overage on that too. Then i scored the Dove mens soap for 1.49 after coupons and it had a bonus travel size bottle. I had no problems today. Of course, i did spend some on other stuff that was on sale but no coupons so i probably didnt raise a red flag.

  23. Anon

Had the best Target shopping trip today! Got 8 (no I didn’t clear the shelf there were plenty) of the Gillette body wash free, plus the clinical strength men’s deodrant free plus $1.01 overage on each (had 4) plus the Kelloggs Special K Crisps. Total came to $4.43 and got a $5 gift card. Woo hoo!!!!!

  24. tarin

Did anyone else try the scotch fur fighter deal? It’s on sale for 3.99 and there is a 4 off coupon. My store said it wasn’t a starter kit so I cou;dn’t use q.

  25. Leah

My Little Pony singles on price cut for $4.99/ea at Target. (Woot! A whole cent cheaper than Wal-mart… which is having trouble stocking them here in San Antonio.)

  26. Marcy

Cannot find 1/17 SS coupons for Ritz and Wheat Thins. Anyone else having this problem? 🙁

  27. Marcy

    *make that 1/24

  28. Renee

I just realized I didn’t get a gift card for buying 4 of the Special K Fruit Crisps and 1 package of Cheesecake cookies. I scanned them before buying and they said they were a part of the $5 promotion. I was so hoping to stay away from Target this week. Anyone else have a problem with this deal?

    • Betsy

I don’t think you can combine the cookies and the crisps deal. I think you have to buy 5 of the crisps or 5 of the cookies for it to work.

  29. Moochy

Newbie question. At Wags I only need 1 store/web coupon for multiple items. Do I need to print multiple target coupons to use on multiple items at target?

    • missdeally

Target store q’s are not like Walgreens. you need one q for every item.

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Are the Kraft q’s manufacturer’s or are they Target store q’s? Just curious before I use my ink. Thanks!

    • missdeally

The kraft q’s are target q’s.

  31. Christie

I keep seeing the Thai Kitchen $1 is still an ongoing special but every time I use zip code 44256, I see it on the last page staing “print limit reached”. Is it available any other way?

I just had a horrible shopping trip to Target..BOO!! I usually pick the line by the check out and I didnt pay attention today..BIG MISTAKE! She would not let me use the J&J coupon for the trial size ( I will be emailing corporate) and questioned every coupon I had. Then they did not have the bodywash at all. Oh well I did score diapers (5.49 and wipes for ($1.13 yahoo).

For those of you that asked I was able to us my coupon on the Fur Fighter.

The Smart Ones q’s are in the 1/10 SS not the 1/17 SS.
Just thought that might help someone else…

      Thanks Keri!

FYI- Walmart has the Weight Watches Smart Ones for $1.50 each, so with the coupons for 10 it should come out at $8 rather than $12.
I realized this after I bought mine at (stupid) Target. ;(

Last night we learned a few things about our Target. 1- do not go when its almost closing time, they become sticklers on the coupons. 2- make sure you get some young kid to ring you out that is not going to try to read each coupon and then look back through everything you got to see if it really does match!
They refused to take our game coupons for the Monopoly card games and such!! They said the coupon is only good on the regular game that is pictured on the coupon. We also had some issues with other things. Then to top it all off.. when we went to pull up the Target text coupon on my iPhone… it popped up then vanished saying it could not be accessed at that time! So angry! We still saved $77 on that transaction after using our $15 giftcards from the first transaction and paying $85 cash. Still was not fun!!

for any of you who can shop at the commisary the uncrustables there are $1.69 so you can get them for just .69 with the coupon.

In the event that anyone comes back to this, two points:

    1. I didn’t get the 4th Quaker item free, as advertised. They had to give back $2, and informed me that their system has been kicking it out lately, so watch your receipts.

    2. Instead of using the 75 cent coupon from the recent newspaper, they had recently had coupons inside of boxes of the Quaker oatmeal, including $1 off the true delights granola bars. That will knock another $1 off the bottom line.

I’m only a week old couponer, but I went to Target this week and used my coupons, when I got to the car, I noticed that not all of them came off my total. I was a little nervous bc of all the comments I read here, but I went to customer service and she had me retrieve the coupons from the register and she deducted the rest of them and handed me $10 cash! Plus, she asked me where I got all my coupons and I told her about your site and ended up writing your website down for her! Yea for Target, and I saved $20.98 which I was pretty proud of for my first time!

Heads Up! My local Target (Duportail in Richland, WA) is NOT ringing up properly when purchasing Quaker products. I went twice yesterday (the second time to get my money back, plus get more granola bars) on the “Get a FREE 6 ct box of Quaker True Delights Cafe Squares when you purchase 3 selected Quaker products.” The register was charging $2 for the Cafe Squares even though they should have been free with my purchase of 3 packages of granola bars.
