For those of you in short ad areas, the Excedrin deal isn’t in our ad. ๐Ÿ™

  2. Eryn

I’m not showing the coupon on the website. Should I be using a different zip code? If anyone was able to get the coupon do you mind letting me know what zip code to use?

    • collin

Try zip code 90210, then click on the category “Health Care” on the left hand side.

      • Eryn

        That worked, THANKS!! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Donna Wells

I have tried a few zip codes that you offered and no show of that Q ๐Ÿ™ Bummed out!

  3. Rhonda

The deal works. I did it this morning. So, confirmed.

  4. Rhonda

    63101 works or 62024

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I also wanted to add that just becuase it says menstrual it has ALL the same ingredients and strength as the regular Excedrin. It is more of a marketing ploy! Go ahead and compare it today while at the store!

    • Elise

      Candice,
I’ve noticed the same thing with ALL of Excedrin’s products! It gives me such a chuckle that they just put it in a different box! Too funny ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

omgsh i noticed that today too! i bought 3 of the menstrual, just wanted the RR but also bought 4 migraine and after i got home and looked at the ingredients they are so the same! i told my friend they prob have it priced higher because of what they say its for and cuz they are prob pink pills…(idk i didnt open that one)

  8. mary

i am going to use my free excedrin coupon from signing up the other day to get it for free plus a moneymaker!

  9. Jennifer

I bought 2 and only got 1 $2 RR, should I have gotten another one? I’m not a big Walgreen’s shopper so I don’t know how their stuff works.

    • Alison

If you want to get 2 RR you’ll have to do 2 separate transactions. You could buy 10 in one transaction and you’ll only get 1 RR.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You have to separate your transactions. You can only receive 1 register reward per like item per transaction.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went this am to get the Excedrin and there was no mark down or RR sign. I took 1 product and went to the pharmacist to price check it. He said $2.50 and told me a funny story. I took it up front still not sure if you get RRs with it. I gave the cashier my coupon and paid for it. I got my RRs. On impulse, I went back and thought I would buy it again. The cashier refused. I asked why and she said it was coupon fraud–right there in front of 3 other customers. I asked if I could talk to the manager. I waited for several minutes. He came over and then this cashier came in and butted in. The reason she did not want to sell me the product again was personal–because I did not get in my car, go home, and come back later to make the same transaction–she even said that. She was upset that it cost only 71 cents. I told her to go away that I was not talking to her any more. I told the manager that it is fine but no where does it say that a customer cannot do 2 transactions in one trip to the store. He sold me the product but it was not worth the negative energy. I told the manager that her reasons were personal for not selling me the product not corporate policy and the week before I waited in line while the cosmetic lady let lots of customers do several transactions at once to get the RRs. I waited patiently in line. I didn’t care.

My point to this story is that I have been having a lot cashier problems with coupons at Walgreens, Target and even CVS and have seen lots of negative comments on blogs about it. I try not to get caught up in the negativity and try to go by the “rules” but sometimes you can’t. There are no rules. I was really offended when that cashier said I was committing “coupon fraud” in front of others. This is my “nice” Walgreens. I really do not want to be bitter against the “mean” cashiers or get into scenes like I did this am. Coupon fraud is a felony and my using 2 coupons in the way I did does not fall under that category.

I really am being to feel like it is not worth my dignity to try and save money when some cashiers and managers are impolite. This incident was over a couple of dollars. Yes, I can call corporate but doesn’t really make me feel better. I guess I just want to know how to play by the rules and retain my dignity. I don’t want to be negative and I don’t want cashiers or managers to be negative with me and I don’t necessarily want to report the incidents. What do others do in circumstances like this?

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I will probably take a break from couponing–it is becoming stressful.

          • Alisia A.

I understand your situation, last week something like that happened to me. Only it was a manager I was getting into it with. He said Walgreens will NO LONGER be ACCEPTING PRINTABLE COUPONS ! I told him Ive always used them and he said all Walgreens received notice of this and its on a flyer in the break room. I told him I just used some b4 going to his store and he said well that was the cashiers fault. He said to many people have been doing coupon Fraud ! So needless to say I was argung with him in front of everyone, I really didnt care. I dont think you should give up COUPONS, dont give CASHIERS & MANAGERS THE SATISFACTION !!! GOOD LUCK !

          • tarin

I had two negative experiences at Publix. I tried to use the Knox coupon and they would not allow it. I had used them before with no problem. I sent an email to corporate telling them the story and how they made me feel like a criminal. I got a phone call from the manager saying he was sorry about the experience and to please come in because they do take those coupons. I’ve also had plenty of neg trips to Walgreens. i save so much money though most of the time I just take my coupons back and go to another store. It’s time consuming and frustrating but when I can afford something that i wouldn’t normally be able to afford it makes it worth it. When I’m at disney later this year hearing my kids laugh, that cashier will still be working miserably away and I won’t be thinking of her at all.

        • Anonymous

That is ridiculous. You were not committing coupon fraud. I did the deal twice today, but I went to different stores. Although there’s no “rule” stating that you can’t do multiple transactions in a single trip, why subject yourself to needless scrutiny? (Plus, it gives others a chance to get in on the deals, too.) I’m not defending the cashier, but your couponing life will be infinitely easier if you maintain good relationships with cashiers, managers, and their stores. That means staying above reproach–and below the radar. You don’t want to be the person who clears shelves, requires a string of multiple transactions, or attempts to score carts full of free trial-sized items on every trip. And believe me, there are lots of people who do just that and give more casual couponers a bad name. Perhaps rather than quit couponing altogether, just scale back. Do a deal once. Don’t do questionable deals. Don’t misuse coupons or attempt to use coupons that you know are going to beep or cause overage or other PR nightmares. I realize that isn’t what you were doing here, but I see so many comments from people who have issues using such coupons, such as on trial sizes. I just imagine these people attempting to score every available trial freebie at once and wondering why the “mean” cashiers won’t take their coupons.

          Good luck!

        • Chantel

Don’t let the negativity of some cashiers bring you down. I am a cashier at Target, and we have some really miserable people working with us. The women at my store who are mean to the guests are just mean in life, so don’t take it personal. We have a lady that had to go back to work for the first time in ten years after her husband lost her job, and she HATES it. I think she takes her personal misery out on guests. The best thing you can do is report them to corporate. A lot of places (walgreens is one of them) has surveys on the receipts, make sure you do them and report the nasty cashiers.

Here is some advice about Walgreens: first ALWAYS use the cosmetic counter if you can. You don’t have to worry about backing up the line and they need the sales on their register. They are usually very accomadating. Another thing you can do is buy the items on the counter that the cashiers are trying to push as your filler items. Sometimes they have cookies or candy or batteries. They are supposed to be pushing certain items and will look bad if they don’t sell them. At my local Walgreens, I go in when I know my favorite cashier, DIANE, is working and I usually do all my shopping at once. I don’t want to hit multiple stores or come more than once. I always by something that she is pushing and take a few minutes to chat. She would do a hundred transactions if I asked, lol. I have been to other Walgreens and had some downright hateful cashiers. I don’t even bother going back to them. The worst is if you get a bad manager. Then it makes the cashiers feel like it’s okay to be jerks. Even though it is frustrating, just email or call corporate and complain. A manager or cashier that is constantly getting complaints won’t last long, trust me.

Don’t give up on couponing! Next time a cashier is being confrontational with you, pull out your phone and tell them that you are video recording what they are saying to play for their district manager, that will get them scared! lol

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I do report the incident and you know what? It has made my whole Walgreens world a much better place to be. I still only continue to have trouble at 1 store (which I mostly try to avoid except they are the only ones that always have tons of stock) but even that 1 has gotten a little better. If you contact customer service and give them your phone number, they will call you they will get the details and you will feel better and you will have better future shopping trips. If you normally like that store say that also, let them know it is normally a nice store to visit, but such rude behavior will not be tolerated. What I would do is copy what you just wrote and make a fefw adjustment and send it off in an email. GL

          • Mitchell Wischmann

I had a problem with using a $1/1 coupon on a $0.99 item once. They wouldn’t take it. I emailed corporate and asked what their policy is and our district manager replied to my email, called me, and sent me a $10 gift card in the mail. Obviously, the $10 gift card was totally unnecessary, but it was very nice to have a reply. He then went to inform the staff and all three stores in my area now accept them!

Contacting corporate is definitely something you should do if you would like to see improvements at your Walgreens!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I HATE WALGREENS and will never shop there anymore because of the attitudes of the cashiers. I threw over $200.00 YES $200.00 in RR away. I tried contacting their corporate office and everthing. They said they would have someone call me back… suprise suprise no one called! So Walgreens can close all their stores for all I care!

      • Anonymous

Should have used them! Throwing away $200 isn’t hurting Wags.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I work for walgreens and they are going to take printable coupons forever… Walgreens is only focused on 1 thing and thats making money. Whether you’re paying the $ or the manufacturer is paying it through the coupon what do they care. If you can’t get through to anyone in the store go online and google “walgreens district office” and the zipcode, it will come right up and give you a phone number. Call the number and ask the secretary for the district manager for the store you went to… Just FYI you’ll definatly get somewhere with this and it won’t be some yahoo in corporate, you’re talking to the big cheese ๐Ÿ™‚ I wouldn’t suggest it if I didn’t think you ladies are getting treated poorly but I think you are. Give it a try, let me know how it works.

  10. Jennifer

Oops, oh well, live and learn.

  11. tarin

can anyone still find it? I’ve tried all the zip posted and can’t find it ๐Ÿ™

  12. kelly88

I did it this morning. My cashier said there was no RR for it.. I said OK well lets try. She asked me how I know more about her store than she.. I kept my mouth shut..I could say a lot..It worked..Yeah!

  13. TINA STEVENS

Same here, tried different area codes and the 2.00 off coupon does not come up:(
Also, I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get another 4.00 off monopoly coupon? My walmart has them marked down to 3.00 so it would be FREE!!!

  14. Tonya

I’m pissed!!! I did two trasactions 1) I bought two Theraflu and one Menstral Excedrin (it did ring up at $2.50) I should have gotten $2 RR for Excedrin and $5RR for two Theraflu….no register rewards printed. so she gave me $5 in cash in lieu of the RR and nothing for the Excedrin cuz she knew nothing about it.

    2) transaction #2…I bought another excedrin and 4 bags of the Resees Pieces stuff that is supposed to spit out a $5RR when you buy 4 bags. Again….NOTHING!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There needs to be a forum on blogs about how to handle these kind of issues in a friendly manner for both customers and stores.

      • Shell

You can much more information like that at message boards, rather than blogs. Try afullcup or hotcouponworld. It is really great and easy to get the deals at a blog like this, but deeper information is better suited to a message board.

    • Denise

call the catalina number that Collin has posted before… I did this and I got my RR in the mail within days…. It isn’t worth it to fight with cashiers that don’t know what is on sale half the time…

    • Sadie

Simply return the items if you don’t get the result you want. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Other deals to be had.

  15. Stephanie

I was excited to get this deal this morning. At my Walgreens the menstural excedrin was not marked on sale at all, but did ring up at 2.50, thanks for the heads up!

  16. Amy

It worked for me! My store also did not have it marked on sale, but it rang up to $2.50. Coupon worked and register rewards worked also!

  17. Jamie

It’s not on sale at my store so i’m bummed!

    • Demise

Did you have them price check? Not marked but still on sale!

      • Tobi

My store didn’t have it marked either, but it rang up at the sale price and printed a RR.

  18. Noel

I went to my local walgreens today and they were already out of the excedrin menstral. I asked about a raincheck, but then you don’t get the RR. My cashier didn’t know anything about them and she didn’t even know that there was some weekly RR and some monthly. I am going to call back later this week and see if they get more in ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You were right about the price — but I checked – and it was $2.50! I’m so excited! Thanks for the tip!

  20. Anna

I have a question about using coupons at Walgreens. I am new to couponing and I noticed some items on the circular read: one coupon printed per offer……If I want to buy an item that is 2 / $5…..Does that mean that I can only use one manufacturer coupon ? (instead of the two coupons …one for each item…. Please help!

    • Savnformyzoo

its one manufacturer coupon per item as long as the coupon is not for two items – i.e. save 3 dollars off 2.

so yes you can use two coupons on the 2/5 deal.

got two excedrin migraine for 1.00 or 50 cents each!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Anna,
What that means is that you are supposed to only be allowed to do the deal 1x and receive a RR for it (that is the printed coupon). But, most stores do NOT enforce that. I only have 1 store that is a pain like that and they stick to it when a certain manager is around…such a pain. So that is all it means. If you want to do the transaction again I am sure you would be able to unless you run into one of the toughies.

  21. Anon

If you’re in the market for goody ouchless hair bands, check the prices on the colored ones! I scored today! One rang up at .75, with a $2 RR!!! Then I got more, and all of a particular set did that! SCORE!!

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I cant find the Excedrin coupon, no matter what zip I use, its not there. :o(

  23. Anon

Personally, after being on this website for several months and reading what some of you go through, I think it has gotten out of hand and become an obsession for many of you to “make a buck” instead of just saving on your grocery/drugstore bill. It isn’t worth it (what you go through) to make that extra couple of $$.

I use coupons on the items that I normally buy, but to make an occupation out of it makes it a little crazy to me (just read all the posts above here). It’s not worth the stress or your dignity to save those extra few dollars. I especially am bothered by those who “clean” out the shelves and then leave nothing for the next person.

Sorry, this is just my opinion, but at least I’m not stressed out over coupons. I’m happy to just save the little that I do.

    • Carla

I tend to agree with you, Anon…. There is a sense of control associated with couponing. My BF was layed off over a year ago and still hasnt found work, couponing is something I CAN control in my life and it can get to be an obsession. I’ve become conscious of it this week and am learning some self control. I just buy 1 or two free items I’d like to try instead of making sure I print multiples from at least 4 different computers. Also, I remain brand loyal on a few things and give up on free toilet paper that I just won’t like compared to my regular brand.

It’s a process, and I understand where some people are coming from.

  24. Lisa

None of zip codes are working for me. Must be all out of prints.

  25. ellan

Just an FYI…..I switched a scrip from wags to target because it’s closer (we were getting a scrip filled after surgery and wags had the only 24 hours pharmacy). well guess what I got in the mail??? a 25 dollar check asking me to come back to wags. I transfer a scrip back and I get 25 dollar gc to spend at their store! whoo hoo

    • Lisa

I get these, too! They are great! But just so you know, it’s a check they validate at the pharmacy. You don’t have to use it then, but once you are ready, you have to spend it all at once. But, hey! It’s FREE money!! iusually do a bunch of RR deals so I make the money back and can use it towards other things.

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When you go to the link the 2.00 coupon is no loner there.
