"Follow Me Monday" Family Fun Edition!

WARNING to my regular readers…. For a variety of reasons this “Follow Me Monday” video is a little unconventional compared to previous videos. Having family in town (my mom and middle sister– not my older sister from Tampa), coming down with a cold and being seriously pressed for time contributed to a spontaneous and unique video post.
This video is less informative than my usual “Follow Me Monday” however there are a few good tidbits, yummy recipes and a peek into my morning routine – No makeup, bed head, and the ever so necessary cup of coffee.
I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as we enjoyed filming it… as you will clearly see!

I love your videos. I just wish they were longer! I have one tip on picking produce. To pick a ripe pineapple pick out the very center leaf on top and if it pulls easily then it is ripe. My 9 year old loves pineapple and he does this to find the sweetest pineapples.

I would love to know how to pick a ripe watermelon! My 10 year old, that’s her job. Some how she ALWAYS picks the best watermelons. I do a horrible job. She says “she talks to them”. LOL Too funny!

alrighty collin, I know this isn’t a grandma site (lol) but I really enjoy your Follow Me Monday videos. And i’ve learned stuff too. My DIL’s are now couponing more because they have seen the deals I’ve gotten. When I try to explain how to stack the coupons they look at me like I’m nuts, so I go to the computer and show them your Follow Me Monday videos

I was just wondering about your home! I thought in one of your earlier videos you said you lived on base. My husband is in the Navy and I have been to quite a few of the military housing installations (enlisted) here in Jacksonville, FL. None of them have kitchens anywhere near as nice as yours!!! Is your husband an officer? If not, I want to move up to NC and live on base! LOL! =)

I totally enjoyed this Follow Me Monday segment!! (as I do everyone). I started out watching them to learn something and now my girls run up when I am on this site asking about “Collin’s latest video!”..I even used this video to prove that one day their sister will be their best friend!! Loved the video and just made the Mango Salsa last night. My husband loved it. Never thought to add the Good Seasons Italian Seasoning. Made a big difference. Yum!!! Plan the Texas Cavier tonight. I have to agree about the Target Archer Farms Blue Corn Chips. They are awsome. I have not tried the Cajun Trail Mix yet. Keep the recipes coming….

I don’t have a sister but man this makes me miss my best friend! (shes in the marine corp stationed in Japan right now) Any who, the recipes were a great idea. Maybe you can have a section where we can post different recipes. I’m always getting online and looking for something new to cook. As for the mango, I’m living in Jacksonville FL now so its a bit harder to find good ones at a good price, I’m originally from El Paso Texas where all year round they have HUGE ones! I love mango, its my favorite fruit so I’m looking forward to trying out that recipe tonight! Like always, loved the video!
