According to 2 readers, Jessica and Katrina, Target may in fact have Baby Alive dolls on clearance for just $4.98! If that’s the case, you can use the $5/1 coupon available here to score these dolls for FREE!

Just get home from Target in Roanoke, VA after work and I find one that have brown hair, they reduced the price to $13.98 so I check the price which is $4.98, of course I use $5.00 coupon. Plus I snag 2 boxes of Valentine cards on sale for $0.27 each and Valentine Wonka Nerds on sale for $0.32 – 90% off for Valentine’s Day stuff. Hope they will stock more dolls and want to use 3 more coupons to donate for Christmas.

Did the coupon beep on you or did it go through for u. I was in target today to get some of the Fur Fighters and they told me that if the coupon was over the sale price u couldn’t use the coupon (and it was $.01 over)

Actually I am deaf and cannot hear the beeped but I believe the cashier did pushed it through with no problem. I might go back and check to see if they stock some more plus want to snag some Fur Fighter too.

Went to my Target in Concord NH and it was still $19.99!! I will still keep my eyes open, just in case it drops.

Not marked down in the few stores I called in the Plano, Texas (Dallas) area. Some stores didn’t even have them, and if they did, they were still full price. This would have been great for the Christmas Cops at my work. Maybe next time, or I’ll at least keep my eye out for them. We still don’t have the men’s Dove marked down yet either so maybe our Targets move a little slower.

Went to the Coral Springs Target in FL and they don’t even carry these types of dolls, let alone full price. But they did have it showing as available for 2 out of 3 of them when I typed in the DCPI on the online website someone provided earlier. So just a heads up, those may be old listings of “availability.”
Hope to find a good deal on this somewhere else as my 10 month old is newly obsessed with hard plastic baby dolls and shrieks when she sees them!

I went looking for the babies (of course none there) but I happened by the cosmetics and there was a bunch of the Cover Girl Face products on sale for $3.03-$3.98. I used the BOGO coupon and the $2.50 off of 2 from the 2/7 PG 2 together and got both for $1.48.

In Springfield, Missouri they say the blonde one is $34.99 and the African American one is $19.99 and no brunette ones in stock. I will be watching to see if the $19.99 comes down.

i just got back from a T in SW PA, they had 2 African American babies one blonde; all rang up $19.99 so I tucked the q’s inside the dolls. Hope it helps someone.

The brown hair/brown eyed doll (I’m guessing it is mean to be Hispanic, but really, it just looks like a brunette) is $4.98 in Everett, WA. I got one & even got the 2 cents in overage. Also got the PopTarts deal with Price matching, the Tim Tams (I used to live in Australia, so I LOVE Tim Tams) & the Pictureka travel came (however, it was the $5.99) one. Total score!
I realize this may make me appear to be nasty, but really….the doll that is not clearanced priced is not a “white” doll, it’s a caucasian doll. Nor is the African American doll “black.” I’m kinda surprised to see such outdated terms, but in the hopes that we don’t offend anyone, let’s use more empowering terms. Thanks in advance!

I realize we are all very different. It’s sort of funny. I was not even aware of the proper terms now. I gasped as a teenager when my grandparents referred to african-american as colored. Then now, my child was appalled to hear me say black. I was actually like, huh? Like the dog who just took a toy from a kid. Like, what did I do? I am 36 years old and when I was a teen in 1992, not THAT long ago, it was not inappropriate to say black. I believe that most moms who read this site are about my age range. And although it may be out of date, it is not said in disrespect.
p.s. I do say african american now.

Not at all trying to nit-pick as I know your sentiment is well intended – this is meant to be respectful – not all “African Americans” are from Africa, and therefore are not “African” Americans. I teach at a multicultural college in Manhattan and many of my students of color that a lot of people would presume to be African American, simply are not. That’s why the generalizing is so difficult. To make matters worse, some of my students prefer “black”, some prefer “African American”, some prefer “person of color” (but aren’t we all?), and some want you to be VERY specific, as in where they immigrated from.
This conversation has no truly easy answer

To Anon: As a 38 year old Caucasian, I hear ya & I agree that terminology is ever changing. I just have friends of all races & I hate it when they get uspet so I try my best to be accomodating. That’s why I mentioned it; I would hate for one of Collin’s readers to be offended. That’s all….I know no one was intentionally trying to stir anythng up.
To Carrie: I agree about the nationality issue & the term African American. I guess there just isn’t a better term, or at least, I’m not aware of one yet. You’re right though…there just isn’t an easy answer. I guess all we can hope for is people having the best intentions & then allowing some grace.
Like I said earlier, I didn’t mean to be snarky. I hope I didn’t come across that way! And with that, I’ll stop derailing the thread.

Thank you so much Collin! Got 2 of them at my Target in Little Rock, AR. They are marked on the shelves as $19.99 each, but when you scan them on the price checkers the brown hair ones are $4.98. So make sure you scan them, don’t go by the price on the shelf.

Found the last brown haired marked down to $13.98 and rand up $4.98 at a Target in AZ. I felt like I scored a million bucks. The rest rand up $19.99. Used the coupon at Target no issues. It beeped and the cashier pushed it through.

I got one in Fontana, CA. It wasn’t labeled as clearance but I price checked it and it was $4.98.

Although I called earlier today i went to pick up motrin for my little guy and decided to snag the Fur Fighters and check the dolls…well JUST my luck I snagged a couple different ones took them to the scanner and the brunette doll DID show up at $4.98! I just totally made my daughters day when I walked in the house and she keeps chasing my son with it cause it makes noises! Thank you for the heads up! Even the stores haven’t a clue! Going out again tomorrow to see if I can score another one at a different store!

I should have printed two ’cause there were two on the shelf. Mine were marked with $13.98 clearance tags but scanned as $4.98!!! (Proves you should always scan things…) My daughter is almost 4 months old and I am holding on to this for her birthday!!!

I just tried to print the coupon and instead of the coupon it printed the picture and description of the doll. I tried on both computers. Going to Target later, I’m not gonna be happy if my store has the dolls clearanced and I can’t get one.

Does anyone know what day Target marks down their clearnaces? I have a local Target that still had a Hispanic doll, but it is still ringing up at $19.99. Is it possible that it will go down to a clearance price still this week or if it is that price on Monday, it will stay that price all week?

I couldn’t find the baby doll…but last week I found nihao Kai-lan(new year’s celebration) DS game for $4.99 !! It had red price on it and marked as $13 or something….but when I price checked, It rang up as $4.99 .

I did not know to check all the dolls so I only checked the blonde doll. She was still full price in Mooresville and Huntersville, NC. Will have my husband check the brunette dolls next.
