Walgreens: Goody Ouchless Moneymaker + More!

This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Wednesday, February 24th, 2010 at 9:40 am.

Here are a couple more Walgreens Deals:

First, as you may know, Walgreens has a Register Reward deal available on select Goody Ouchless Elastics: purchase one package for $2.99 = $2RR! Well, according to reader Amy, Walgreens has the Goody Elastic Bands (pictured above) on clearance for just $0.75 to $1.09 and these are generating the $2 Register Reward. Make sure to price check these items if they’re not marked. Your final cost will be FREE + a nice little moneymaker!

Also, Stouffers frozen Macaroni and Cheese is on sale 2/$3. …AND even sweeter, after you purchase your first 2 out will pop a $1 Register Reward and a Catalina coupon for $0.75/2. Use the Catalina coupon on your next transaction (NOT the Register Reward) to score each Mac and Cheese for just $0.63 (after you deduct the $1 Register Reward you will get back). Plus, make sure to join the Stouffer’s Dinner Club to earn rewards for purchasing products. (Thanks, SeriousAboutSavings!)

I bought some of these yesterday here in Texas, they did have red tags that said they were on clearance for $2.49 here, so I bought them as a filler, I thought .49 cents was good price for a future gift, I did get the $2.00 RR but PAY ATTENTION, don’t do what I did, I was still charged $2.99 the original price, because they hadn’t changed it in the system even though it was already tagged at clearance price.

  • cameron says:

So Im new to the RR and just read the Walgreens info on Hip2save. So let me get this straight, you must purchase the item, then once you’re done paying the RR prints out. So how do you get it for free if you’ve already pain since the RR is a coupon right? It just means if you purchase the item again right? Thanks

    • Megan says:

You have to pay out of pocket for the item first, then you will get the RRs, but don’t buy the same item again and use those RRs, because you won’t get any more RRs for the 2nd purchase. It’s not exactly free because you do have to pay up front, but you get more money back than what you paid to buy something else. I found this deal the other day, and when I realized that the RRs were going to print on the clearance item, I went and bought a second pack, so I paid $2.38 (including tax) for the two packs and I now have 2 x 2RRs to use next time so I had a money maker of $1.62.

  • Leslie says:

They were a $1 at my Walgreens.:-)

    • Adorned says:

One of my Walgreens had them for $1.59, the other for 2.99 still. I’m planning on making a trip back to the first one! Certain cashiers are so friendly and helpful. It makes couponing there so pleasant. They ask what the deals are so they can learn and score also.

  • erin says:

I was able to score these! I have made friends with a cashier and she told me about the ones on clearance. :)

  • KellyG says:

The Catalina (at least in CO.) is $0.75/3 (not 2).

  • Randi says:

mine were still 2.99… oh well… I still got a pack. I had them scan them, still 2.99. they did have .5 oz visine on clearance for 1.99 – used a $2 printable from a few weeks ago!

  • Michelle says:

Off topic, but what is the metal ring thingy? My daughter thought it made a fun bracelet but is that waht it is for? Just curious!

  • galaxystar2 says:

none on clearance at my store :( I bought 3 packages anyway cause I had 3 RR expiring that were $3 each (bought a can of $.39 hunts each time as a filler since the goody is a penny short of the RR! i hate that lol!)

    • Aimee says:

FYI – you could have bought 3 Hunts on each transaction and used a $1/3 coupon, making each can only $0.06 each, and still have been able to use your RR as you still would of had more items than coupons. Just a tip for anyone else using these as fillers. Another good filler this week is the boxes of theatre candy (sour patch kids, lemonheads, redhots) which are on sale for $0.49 each!

    • Tiffany says:

      They aren’t marked.

  • EMILY says:

I WENT TO WALGREENS YESTERDAY FOR THE BENEFIBER DEAL (A STAPLE IN OUT HOUSE). THE DEAL WAS BUY A BENEFIBER (ON SALE FOR $9.99) AND GET A CATALINA FOR A FREE BOX OF BENEFIBER STICK PACKS. I IMMEDIATELY USED MY FREE STICK PACK AND GOT ANOTHER CATALINA FOR A FREE STICK PACK. I DID THIS 6 MORE TIMES BEFORE I HAD TO GET OUT OF WALGREENS, AND I STILL HAVE A FREE BENEFIBER COUPON TO USE BEFORE 3/9. THE CASHIER SAID THAT THIS NEVER HAPPENS, SO I DON’T KNOW IF IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN.

  • KIM McMURRY says:

I can report that the Goody deal is working at my local Walgreens in Las Vegas, NV. However, I didn’t find any clearance that low…..but $2.19 less $2.00 RR….not bad for .19 cents!!!! I did another transaction with the Arm & Hammer laundry det BOGO…..less the $2.00 RR and a $1.00 off coupon for 2. All in all a great deal!!!!

  • Jenna P says:

has anyone seen the goodys hair elastic bands on sale in the simpsonville, sc location?

  • Theresa says:

At my Walgreens They had the men’s right guard deodorant on clearance for $2.28 they are BOGO this week minus the $2/2 smart source coupon = two for $.28!!!

  • amy says:

Thanks for the heads up on these, with 3 girls and one in gymnastics so she wears her hair up for practice 4 times a week we can always use more elastics! I stopped at a Walgreens on the way home today and found one clearance one left. It said clearance for $2.19 I think but it rang up with tax $1.16, then a $2 RR printed outl LOVED that. I am totally hitting another walgreens on the way home from taking my daughter to the gym in a few minutes to see if they happen to have any more of the clearance ones so I can stock up. THANKS!

  • Jenn says:

They are on “clearance” for $2.99 (ha–yeah, that’s the same price as all the rest of them this week) in Louisville. Just a heads up! Some other good deals though . . . I was satisfied:)

  • Anonymous says:

Not on clearance at Geneva, IL. But a lot of things are on clearance.

  • [...] Wow, there are going to be some good sales coming next week to Walgreens.  But really quickly before I go there, I just heard that this week they Goody hair products are $2.99 with a $2rr.  Apparently some of these hair products are marked down and in the clearance section and they are still giving the $2RR, so moneymaker. Thanks Hip2Save. [...]

  • Tiffany says:

Hey! So it wasn’t “just me”! I didn’t email Collin the other day when I did this deal. By chance I picked up that SAME package and it was $.75!! Then printed the $2 RR!! I went back and got several different colors, had the cashier price check them, and it is only specifically THOSE colors that you see pictured that are on clearance. None of the other colors came up at $.75-$1.09. The funny thing was that according to the package colors they either came up 75 cents or $1.09. Don’t be surprised if you select any other color if they don’t come up on clearance, price check them all:)

  • Rose says:

The only ones on clearance are the colors shown, I got two and one rang up 75 cents and the other 1.09.

  • Robine Wright says:

Went yesterday to Walgreens and did the Excedrin deal and Goodie and used a $3.50 RR to roll. Did the deal twice and scored $8.00 RR for next week. Used the 2/1 Excedrin coupon so moneymaker!

  • Corinne says:

Yay! Thanks for the heads up. My Walgreens had just one of the clearance ones left. After tax and the RR, it was $0.33. I have long hair and use these things constantly, so it was a great deal on something I’d buy anyway. My husband doesn’t get why I’m so excited! heehee =)

  • Jennifer says:

Mine were on clearance for $2.39. So, only $0.39 after RR. Not bad.

  • Rachel says:

These were $1.79 at my walgreens!!! I was thrilled with the fact that I was going to pay .99 cents for them. Well they were free plus a little overage!!!! YAY!!!

  • mrslauriemclean says:

Hmmm, I got them for 75 cents but no register reward. Wonder why???

  • Anonymous says:

I got mine for $2.29 on clearance and got the $2 RR on Monday…. mine were the exact same color as the ones pictured. I asked the Manager at my Wags about the clearance variation one day and he said it has to do with how many of those items they have in stock, like if they have 12 the price will be cheaper than if they only had 2… just an FYI…..
