But it's the same rule in how instant-win-games always have the option to write in for a no-purchase-necessary game piece, becuase the federal trade commission stipulate that everyone has a chance to win and a company can't force someone to buy their product; if a product is just being given away from the start, there needs to be some monitary value accessed to the prooduct you "won" it and it can technically be counted as income. (while it's hard to track, freebies are also conisdered income. Just because you didn't pay for it doenst mean that you didn't acquire it and also doesn't exclude the fact that the product has a value, no matter how inflated, and should you be audited, you may have to report freebies should you have so many that it seems as though you live on them.)
