I didn’t think this would work at my Walgreens (Tacoma, Wa) because there were no signs advertising buy one get one and it wasn’t in their add either, but when I got to the checkstand it rang up with my coupons no problem. The cashier didn’t even say anything at all! I got 4 bottles of detergent for free (well I had to pay tax)! :) Thanks!

Wow this is ironic because I was just going to report that I went to a Walgreen’s in Tacoma, WA today and was told by the manager that she would not accept the manufacturer’s coupon! I’m new to this whole couponing thing and it was definitely not an experience that made me want to keep shopping at Walgreen’s. Has anyone else had this happen? I guess I’ll try another store tomorrow.

I went to my store in CA today and the BOGO is ringing up one at $2.99 and the other at $3.00 not just one for $5.99 and the second for zero. Is anyone else having this problem today? I am wondering if Walgreens changed the register input since yesterday or if this is only happening in my area? It will still be a great buy at $1.50 each, but was really excited about getting them for FREE.

I had the same issue with the razors that they had weeks ago, the manager just changed the price, and made it one full price and the second one 0 after i showed them the flyer….because then it’s nor free….
try to show them maybe they will change it for you…

I went down the road to another store where the cosmetics gal is not afraid to ask her manager to do these deals she knows are legit. Sure enough she was there and I was able to get 6. Hopefully this worked out for anyone having the same problem.

I had six bottles in my cart when my favorite WAGS manager came by. He said that I must be getting a good deal on them and asked how much. I told him free and he just laughed. No problems at the register either. Thanks Collin for telling us about this great deal.

  • 104

    Michelle says:

I was just going to ask how many each of you are getting?
    Ann saw six…nice :)

I was standing at the cosmetics register with two in my cart and an employee came by and even asked me if I had the BOGO coupon. When I told her yes she gave me the thumbs up. I think she probably would have told me about it if I didn’t have it. :) She was really nice, I let her go ahead of me to buy a little carrot cake slice because she was on her fifteen minute break. I really appreciated her though. She is one of the people I make sure to check out with if she is working at the register because she always compliments me on my shopping. I got two bottles for free. I also did the Aveeno deal, but I had the two dollar off coupons for a baby item and a facial item. So I got a facial scrub and a baby lotion for about 6 dollars, and then with the RR, it basically brought it down to a little under three dollars. I did three of the register reward deals today. I ended up paying ten dollars before tax, and I got six dollars back in RR, so I basically paid four dollars! It was so nice because I needed to get envelopes, so I just took all my purchases out to my car and came back in to buy envelopes for free!

OMG i am so mad at myself right now… so i bought 2 this morning and i knew i had another coupon somewhere but couldn’t find it….so found it went to wags (the same wags that the manager called me to tell me that they are accepting BOGO coupons) check out and then the cashier tell me that i actually need to buy one… didn’t of course..
Gotta go again in the manager to see the nice manager there….
I hate when i do that….:( Hopefully she will let me do it, if not oh well i got 2 it’s enough i guess.

I went to Wags today to do this deal! Awesome! My cousin and his wife are living with us right now and don’t have a lot of money so I was going to give them all 3 of my coupons because we buy free and clear detergent and I didn’t think I could get it with this deal. When we got to Wags I saw they had the free and clear BOGO! WOOHOO So my cousin got 2 and I got 4! I paid $.96(the tax) Awesome Awesome!!! We do TONS of laundry over here. We have 3 kids, one of which is a 6 month old with acid reflux so she spits up a ton, we do lots of laundry. I swear our laundry has tripled since she was born. :)

No deal here! In Canton Ohio, Mgr says that I can have 3 for the 5.99 but will not accept the coupons the way I want them to be used. He claims that by using the store offer and the coupon that there is no qualifying “purchase”. Does any one know if Walgreens has an official corporate coupon policy accessible on line?

Atlanta, GA – Worked on two transactions, but the third (only minutes later) did not work. Manager said we could only get 50% off of the 5.99 bottle. We walked out with our two successful transactions. PS. We give the manager points for his creativeness

It worked for me. I have now done it at 2 different Wags. In the last one a lady behind me was so impressed that I gave her a coupon to do it on her on- I told her to Pay it forward!!

Well met with the manager this morning and she said that it’s absolutely fine to use it on a bogo deal don’t need to buy 1 and get 3 or whatever free… I LOVE HER!!!

Canton,Oh walgreen’s managers are saying we have to buy 1 and get 2 free. One even accused me of breaking the law!!!!! I’ve never even had a speeding ticket!!! I was ready to quit and go home, but decided to call a couple of other stores and found managers who would allow me to use my coupons! Yay!

Lisa i had the same thing in one store with the manager telling me that, what i wanted to do was fraud and i was breaking the law… felt so bad.

        Melissa says:

Michelle, you’ve gotta be dealing with the same arrogant jerk I deal with. I finally had it with him when back before Christmas he ‘decided’ I didn’t know how to CORRECTLY coupon & that was not how it worked. Fed up, aggravated and humiliated I went to my car and called corporate headquarters to ask about the couponing policy. I was asked by the operator what if anything had prompted my call & I proceeded to explain what happened. The next day I received not only 1 phone call of apology but 3!!!! The member of management that humiliated me in the store the night before, store manager as well as a corporate customer liason. Didn’t help at all once I look back because I still have major difficulties with this certain location.

    Kris says:

Worked for me in Orlando! I scored 10 bottles from 3 different stores on Monday night. At the first store, the manager seemed reluctant but once I said, “That’s really weird. I was able to use this coupon on two bottles last night at another Walgreens. I’ll just trying going back there again.” Once I got this manager to give in, I made sure I kept the receipt with my coupons and repeated the same story to every other manager. When they seemed doubtful, I whipped it out and said, “I guess I’ll have to go back there again.”

I passed two coupons onto my future brother-in-law’s girlfriend but I still have 6 more of these coupons. I’m hoping to go out again for more tomorrow. I didn’t want to clean out the shelves. Thanks Collin!

I live in Holiday Fla. I scored 8 Bottles so far, the last 4 bottles where 72oz. which the manager gave me since he ran out! I was shocked. He then told me to come back on Thurs. for my other 2. I am quite pleased since I’m trying to teach my sister how important coupons are and she wouldn’t believe me. She has now learned she scored 8 bottles of laundry soap for the tax of $1.68. Thanks Collin for helping all of us!!!!!

This worked in Pickerington, Ohio. If they had questioned it, I planned to ask them to atleast try it and see if the registar would take it (which of course it would have). I got 4 bottles for free! Never tried this brand but the price was right!

i dont understand how people are getting it for only the tax…please explain!! I went yesterday and the cashier said that they were already BOGO when i brought out my coupon so she didnt take it…i still have it, how can i use it best?

    • 123.1

      Anonymous says:

That the part where “your mileage may very” meaning that one store may not accept the coupon and some will. You can either try another store, or go back and try another cashier, OR you can get 4 of them give her the 1 coupon so you end up getting 3 for free and paying for one (1.50 each)

For example: You are getting 2 free already from the BOGO sale, but then you are paying $6 each for the other 2 so when you give her the BOGO free coupon she will deduct 5.99 making your total 5.99 for all 4 of them.

with 1 BOGO coupon AND the the BOGO sale at Walgreens you would get 2 free but YMMV. I got 4 free on Monday, but today when I tried again, they wouldn’t let me. The coupon wouldn’t go through. Good luck

ordered coupons pn ebay and they arrived today, sdo went out before dinner to try my luck. went to a wags that often has sale items still in stock, but that is often coupon unfriendly. found 8 bottles, picked up a couple other items i needed. my coupons went through like a charm and the cashier didn’t even bat an eye! 8 bottles for free and here in texas no tax either on items free after coupons! Definitely made me willing to go around to other wags stores tomorrow to try to find more in stock, as i’m stockpiling for my mom and a few other related families, too.

  • 127

    Jana says:

Yay! On Monday I went and got 2 for free. Yesterday I tried again, and the cashier told me the coupon wouldn’t work (even though it had just worked on Monday) so I told her I didn’t want them then. Went back this morning to try again with a different cashier and what do you know, NO PROBLEM. I don’t understand why there is such a difference between cashiers. I mean if it is a valid coupon and you are using it for the product that you are supposed to and the register accepts it then it accepts it right???? :)

  • 128

    amy says:

went to a different wags this morning on the way to work to try again. while they did have some in stock, the cashier called the manager over, and she refused to take the coupons and accused me of coupon fraud. i explained to her that the coupons don’t beep and that another wags had taken them for the same purchase the evening before and even tried to show her my receipt, but she just kept saying that just because one store took the coupons doesn’t make it right, and that i was trying to commit coupon fraud. i nicely asked for my coupons back and told her i would just go back to the other wags and smiled and told her to have a nice day. this isn’t the first time this same manager has accused me of coupon fraud, so i think that store has now completely lost my business, even if it is the one closest to my house.

Worked at the WAGS on Concord Ave. in Concord, CA. Didn’t even question the coupon, she just checked to see what the price of the Purex was and punched the price into the computer. I think it’s silly that Walgreens doesn’t have a standard coupon policy. It’s completely unfair to have each store make up their own coupon policies.

I haven’t tried this yet, and I’m still alittle confused. Don’t you have to pay for at least one bottle? If I’m wrong can someone who got all of their bottles for free, walk me through this. Like how you only paid tax? I’ve read all the above posts but this is just not clicking. I want to go in knowing what I’m doing. Thx!!!

The sale at Walgreens right now is BOGO (buy 1 get one free) So, if you were to take 2 of these products to the register, it SHOULD ring up at the register as 1 @ 5.99 and then the 2nd one at 0.00. When you given your coupon to the cashier (that is for BOGO) the cashier SHOULD deduct 5.99 therefore taking 5.99 off of your entire order (which should only be 5.99 since one item was 0 and the other 5.99) Therefore making BOTH free (except for tax). Went to one Wags last night and they were all out so got myself a rain check. Decided that I would try a different one tonight and was really excited to see that they had some in stock right by the front door. Grabbed my two bottles, as I only have 1 coupon, looked around the store for a few more deals. Checkout time…the cashier said that she couldn’t give me the 2nd one for free as I was already getting one for free from them. I asked her to check with a manager. She came back with yet the same answer. While I was waiting another customer walked up as she had heard my conversation with the cashier and said that she had done it before at that store. Very frustrating as this was really my first go out and get a GREAT deal. Might try a different Wags tomorrow.

I went to one Walgreens and was walking down the cleaning aisle when a lady came up to me asking if I wanted a BOGO coupon. She didn’t realize the Purex was on sale and assumed that she couldn’t use the coupon. I told her that they will normally take the coupon and she said she’d try. The cashier wouldn’t accept it, so the lady brought the coupon to me since it expires today ( 3/6).

I went to another Walgreens and they had exactly 6 bottle of the fragrance free detergent and I had 3 coupons. The girl who checked me out knows me as a customer but said that their new assistant manager has really been cracking down on the coupons so she needed to call him over to make sure she processed it correctly. At first, he said that they couldn’t do “2 for free” and I nicely explained that I had used BOGO coupons with a BOGO sale at that store and many other stores because the store gets reimbursed for one of the detergents. Just said that if it would be a problem to just take them off my tickey, but I hated it b/c we use the fragrance free and it is hard to find. He then asked the cashier if the coupons had scanned and she said yes, they scanned she just wasn’t sure how to input the amount since they were ringing up 3.00 and 2.99. He said to just put the 5.99 amount in and it was fine. Then he left and she just kind of gave me a “look” like hey, I wasn’t questioning taking the coupon, I wanted to know how to do it! LOL

Long story, but I got 6 bottles of detergent, 2 Simply Sleep, 2 Motrin PM and a black ink refill (using 50% off coupon) for a total of $4.81. I was thrilled!!!
