Valerie says:
Awesome! I plan to save for the “Toys for Tots” donations in December.
fuzzymitten says:
I tried to use a coupon on the BOGO card game deal for Black Friday and it wouldn’t work. The cashier must have scanned it over 5X. She finally asked someone and was told you couldn’t use it on a BOGO sale. Maybe it will be different with this sale since one item has to be purchased.
Sophie says:
Do you need to buy 6 monopoly deals or can you just buy 1 monopoly deal to use $5 coupon
and then buy other games?
Because Buy 2 get 1 coupons says the card games include Yahtzee Hands Down, Mille Bornes, Monopoly Deal, Sorry Revenge and Scrabble Slam.
i would love to get yahtzee hands down, mille bornes, and sorry revenge. I have so many monopoly deals and scrabbles I don’t need more.
christine says:
I got these at Wal-Mart earlier tonight. The Monopoly and Scrabble games were marked down to $4. I had a B2G1 coupon and the $5/1 Monopoly. 3 card games and a Connect 4 travel with the $4/1 q got me all 4 for $6. Might not be as good as other deals, but I don’t need more than one of a certain type of game. I think if you’re happy with a deal, it’s a good one!
marcia says:
I was thinking the same thing about getting variety, i’m guessing monopoly is the cheapest??? I’ve got to see if i got that Q if so I’m totally up at the crack of dawn for this! Awsome B-day gifts!!! (especially since my kids tell me the night before a party AFTER I come home from shopping and live 30 minutes from anything
)
Holly says:
I’m pretty sure that TRU does not accept printable coupons, unless it is their own.
Sarah says:
I used the printable coupons for $5/Pictureka (sp?) at Toys R Us and did not have a problem. I also used the Mr. Potato Head printables back before Christmas (at a different Toys R Us.) Both are in central PA.
Michelle says:
I’ve used the Hasbro online coupons several times at Toys R Us with no problems.
Ovl says:
They used to take mine and I tried the other day and the cashier said they do not take internet printable manuf coupons bc they don’t get reimbursed for them. Maybe another cashier would or it varies by store…hate that
melissa says:
I just got back from Toys R Us and they do NOT accept internet printables. They will accept the $5 pictureka that were in the card games. Still a good deal. The cashier told me about people making coupons for free PS3′s. Then I asked to speak to the manager because it was posted here that you could use the Monoply printable at TRU. The manager showed me a sheet of fake coupons that they had received from people. It sucks that the bad choice makers ruin it for the rest of us who are just trying to get a good deal!
Sarah says:
does anyone know if TRU will give rain checks on the deal of the day? I don’t think I can get there until after work (it’s a 30-ish minute drive for me), and I’m guessing they won’t have much left by 5:00. Or will Target match this if I bring the printed email– I’m thinking not because it’s not an ad, any thoughts?
Tara says:
target doesnt match door busters, which i think this falls under?
anyone know if the monopoly q beeps cause my tru is not coupon friendly
Sarah says:
I used one at Target today to get the card game and it didn’t beep (seems like everything else did, though! pain in the neck.).
Elizabeth says:
Wouldn’t you be better off going to Target and buying 2 @ $5.24 each. Then use 2 $5 off coupons…..that would be $.48 for 2 games. Or am I just too tired to think straight?
Of course this is for those of us who weren’t able to get the B2G1 coupon
Sarah says:
If you want two Monopoly, yeah, I guess so. You’re thinking fine. (o; My husband and I played the Monopoly card game last night- it was fun. I have some to donate, too.
I would love to get Uno or Phase 1 or something else if I can though, and I didn’t get the B2G1. Even that seems more limited than the TRU sale.
Laurie says:
This is what I did at my Target tonight, and I had the B2G1Free coupon, so I bought two more Monopoly games in order to use the 2 $5/1 Monopoly game coupons and got the Yahtzee card game free since I didn’t have that one yet – so three card games for $.24.
Laurie says:
sorry, not $.24, but $.48 for all three…
Anonymous says:
I didn’t get that coupon in my Parade, but I did get a Free flashlight coupon.
Julie says:
TRU does take pc printed coupons however our TRU is not always coupon friendly. They would not let me use the Pictureka coupon on cards or the flipper game… they said it had to be the game pictured. I hope you all have better luck than I did. I did score the cards at Kmart, Target and Walmart on different occasions.
Angela says:
At Wal-Mart today I got 2 Monopoly for $4 each. They were not marked as on sale but they rang that way and 1 Miles something game for $5.24. Used 2 $5 coupons on 2 Monopoly games and one B2GO Coupon, which took off $5.24. The result: I was paid $2 to buy these games! I did not even realized this until I got home since I did not know the Monopolys were on sale. So much better than the TRU deal—and more convenient to my house, too.
My question is: so many of us are stocking up on these for gifts, how much to you unusually spend (in product value–not what we paid for it with coupons!) for a birthday present for your child’s friend. What are some gifts you give? I just want to know what the going rate is. Thanks!
Adrianna says:
For ME, it depends on the kid who is getting the gift. Is it just a classroom friend that your kid doesn’t really like but wants to go to the party because…well…its a party. OR is this kid a friend who visits often and there are lots of playdates between your kid and the friend? I usually spend (before coupons and deals) around $10-$15 or the classmates. Usually with a good deal and some coupons this comes out to around $3-$5. For a really good friend it’s usually $25 or so(still before coupons). This usually ends up being a present that is pricier, even with deals, because you know the kid will enjoy it. But this is just me, idk about other people!
Nicole says:
So how is this going to work without the Parade q? I want UNO and Monopoly which at TRU is BOGO. I have the $5/1 Monopoly q. Is this going to make Uno free or am I going to have issues? Anyone?
Di says:
UGH! I tried to use the monoply coupon on the card game and they refused to use it said the board game was pictured on the coupon and it could only be used for it! I stated it doesnt say board game merely game she got snooty and aid it WONT work and walked off. And the same with the McCormick coupons I couldnt use it for the salt and pepper combos they told me that salt and pepper was not considered a spice. I have the worst time trying to get the good deals I read about on here *pouting*
Jo says:
Sorry, I hate for people to get discouraged about couponing because of nasty stores giving nasty service. My walmart even lets me use the McCormick coupons on the marinade packets or chili packs, etc.
savyshoppingmommy says:
Even though its hard dont be discouraged. Just go back later that day at shift change or the next day and try a different cashier…or get a manager. I know its hard and its happened to all of us one time or another. Its hit or miss. I used the Buy 1 Herbal Essance Shampoo/Conditioner and get a Styling Product Free at Target…I bought a Travel Size Shampoo and got a $5.99 Styling Product. I called my girlfriend who lives near me, she went and tried to do the same thing and the cashier told her she couldnt buy a Travel Size even thought there were no restrictions or size amounts listed on the coupon, mainly because the coupon showed purple full size products . So they my g/f said so does that mean I have to buy the same color and product shown on the coupon and the cashier said well no. So she took her coupons down the street to Meijer and had no problem and she actually had a few of the coupons. So it all depends on the cashier and whether they have been trained or given the right info when it comes to coupon usage.
Jennifer says:
Same thing happened to me tonight at my walmart, also wouldn’t let me buy the travel size hungry hungry hippo game with a coupon. I tried explaining to 3 different cashiers and a manager that the monopoly coupon didn’t SAY board game, just a game and neither had a size restriction on them, but I was told I had to go by the picture on it. I will try again later, hopefully at a different store.
Hope says:
ides of march
ugh…just came from ToysR Us (sandusky Ohio)and they would not let me do any combinations of the coupons?!!! I even made them call the manager over…and she said it was against TRU policy.
I will try Target on Tuesday and see what i can come up with! was looking to stock up for easter baskets and raffel basket for 4H! wish me luck !
cindy says:
I just got back from TRU and was told I needed to have the online coupon for the BOGO sale. Is this true? The games did not ring up as BOGO and customer service said I needed the online coupon to get the deal of the day. Where can I find ths coupon?
erin says:
here is the link to the deal

Haley says:
I just went to our toys r us in Salem, Oregon and used the $5 monopoly coupon in addition to the buy 2 get 1 free coupon (i only had one) so my total ended up being about $1 per game! I bought a variety of games as well not just monopoly.
Anonymous says:
I got the same bit about it being an emailed deal. I will attempt printing out the link listed above and bring it in?
Lorae Kittell says:
Just got home from Toys R Us and purchased a variety of 6 games and when I got to the register to pay they took both B2G1 coupons and the $5/1 Monopoly…..still my total was $8.66…I thought maybe there was a limit so I didn’t push my luck since they had already taken the other coupons. When I came home I checked my receipt and it actually didn’t take one of the BOGO’s off….I checked the add and called back to the store and they said there was no limit and to bring my receipt back and they would credit me the $5.99 that was missed!! SCORE 6 games for less than $2!!! Thanks Hip2Save!!!!
Bridget says:
got mine today
. I didnt have the buy2get1 coupon, I had 2 of the monopoly. so I got 2 monopoly cards, and 1 wwe uno, and 1 pictureka. YES the UNO card games are included, and they had WWE uno, my son will loves these in his easter basket! also grabbed the travel hungry hippos for 2.99 with my 4.00 coupon
SALINA says:
Does anyone have the TRU coupon policy. I need it to take it in.
Linda says:
Must be my lucky day cause I was able to snag 18 games for only the tax. I used 6 B2G1F and four monopoly coupons and the last one self adjusted to take off only 2.97( amount remaining after all the other coupons) when scanned. I plan on putting together family game night baskets to raffle for my sons class fundraiser.
mtnhoney says:
I had to fight to get mine! But got it done, after 2 managers and 3 cashiers, requesting of store number, and removal of every item except my treasure hunt hotwheel! ding ding ding
They were not going to let me get 6 games and pay for 1 with 2 parade coupons.
I had 2 monopoly Q’s but they didn’t have any of those card games left, so I picked up the 4 year old electric version on clearance for $9.98 – $5 Q = $4.98 and the Monopoly jail $9.98- $5Q= $4.98 and then $5.99 for the 6 card games and $.99 for a treasure hunt firetruck hotwheel!
Adrianna says:
Got 4 Monopoly Games and used three $5/1 coupons. ALSO I found Connect four games on pens(like on the end that doesn’t write) on clearance for $2.98 (Which for the quality and size was an AWEFULY high price for these!) and used the $4/1 coupons and so I got 2 connect four games as well. I used the $5 in overage to score my son a brand new little einstiens DVD for $6.57!! Can’t beat that price!!
