Kmart: *HOT* Pull-Ups & DVD Deal Scenarios + More!

Alright, so are you ready to make use of the new $10 off $20 Kmart coupon?! I know some of you are confused with the wording stated on the coupon–
“$10 off regular, sale or clearance priced merchandise purchase in-store of $20 or more (before taxes and after other discounts have been applied) in a single transaction. Cannot combine with any other coupon for the same item(s) and cannot double. Limit (1) Kmart Savings Coupon per transaction.”
When it states before taxes and AFTER other discounts have been applied, I take that as meaning after all store discounts have been applied. When you use manufacturer’s coupons it’s just like paying with cash– using cash from the manufacturer, so that discount has nothing to do with the store. I would make sure your total is over $20 after all Kmart coupons and discounts have been applied. After doing so, hand over the $10 off $20 coupon AND then use any manufacturer coupons you may have.
Here are a few deal scenarios to get ya thinkin’:
Princess and the Frog deal scenario:
Buy The Princess and the Frog DVD $20.99
Buy the Princess Tiana Doll $10.99
Total = $31.98
Get $10 off automatically at the register for buying the DVD and doll
Total now = $21.98
Use the new $10 off $20 Kmart coupon
Plus, use the $5/1 manufacturer’s coupon from here
Final cost ONLY $6.98 for both the DVD and Doll! What a sweet deal!

Soda Stock up Deal scenario:
Buy 16 2 liters of Coca Cola Products on sale 4/$5
Total = $20
Use the $10 off $20 Kmart coupon
Final cost ONLY $0.63 per 2 liter!
Pull-Ups Deal Scenario:
Buy 2 packages of Huggies Pull-Ups $9.99
Buy 1 $0.50 filler item (candy or gum by the register)
Total = around $20.50
Use the $10 off $20 Kmart coupon
Use two $2/1 Pull-Ups coupons from here
Final cost ONLY $3.25 per pack!

You could use it to buy $20 worth of Quilted Northern toilet paper or Brawny paper towels and then submit for the $5.00 rebate. I haven’t worked out a scenario yet but it seems like it’d be a good deal.

I have a feeling that this $10/$20 coupon will scan just fine, but then won’t be applied when trying to use man Q’s after. I guess it’s worth a try. Might just run to Kmart in a bit, to see if it will work with the Princess and the Frog deal….would be a great Christmas present for my Daughter. Also, it’s a pdf…does that mean we can use it more than once? Thanks.

Sounds to me like the $10 off $20 coupon and $5 coupon for the DVD would be towards the same item. I wouldn’t think it would work, but would be great if it did…guess we’ll see.

This coupon is for Chicago’s use when you look at the site. Even though it doesn’t say so on the coupon itself, is it still legal to use it in any state?

Actually I think it’s for any store in IL, but I think you might have a point. It’s probably gonna get pulled and not accepted, when they figure out other states are using it as well. I would hate to ruin it for IL, if it’s not intended for our use.

But if you are buying more than one item, couldn’t you make the argument that your manufacturers coupon is for the DVD, but the $10 off 20 is like getting $10 off the doll. You’re not using a coupon for the doll….I think it’s totally going to depend on the cashier…
Back in July during doubles, I used the $5 off $50 all the time, and I’m fairly certain that had the same wording, and I used it with other save instantly and manufacturer’s coupons, as well as k-mart coupons.

I have had coupons like this before where they will NOT take it in combination with manufacturer coupons. It’s still a good deal on the movie & pull-ups without the manufacturer coupons…. pretty much 50% off whatever you want including clerance items… I will be looking through the clearance racks for sure!!!!

A little off topic but with all these Pull-up deals lately has anyone else had their kids complaining that the seam in the side hurts them? I’ve just started using these with my 2 1/2 year old and repeatedly he has complained it’s hurting him on the side. I sort of think there’s a little flaw in the design that the plasic “velcro” that holds the sides together gets exposed and scratches at him. just wondering!

YES!! My son sometimes says his side itches and I have decided it is because of the velcro tab. I have noticed not all pkgs have these, but when he complains, he is wearing the ones with the “new” velcro tabs. Luckily, he isn’t wearing these much anymore.

My daughter has gotten some raw spots from the velcro before I realized what was going on. I find that I just need to make sure it is smooth and both layers are laying flat when I put it on her – if you just pull it up and don’t check it, often the layer closer to the skin can get folded back, exposing the velcro, so you just need to make sure it is laying flat to protect the skin. Haven’t had a problem since…

My daughter gets rashes from Pull Ups.. I got a sample of the Pampers Easy Ups in the mail and tried them on her. They are much softer material and she doesn’t get a rash from them. We will for sure be using the Pampers Easy Ups and not the Huggies Pull Ups!

I understand the concept of using this coupon with manufacturer coupons as well but then I read in the fine print “Coupon value applied and pro-rated across all qualifying items” So how then would we be able to use a manufacturer coupon since it also states “Cannot combine with any other coupon for the same item(s)” Sounds like this coupon will count towards all items and will make manufacturer coupons invalid? Hmm.. I sure hope some of you other ladies/gents post your experiences since my Kmart is 30min away!

I just got my gift cards today from the Kmart Hershey’s Pieces Deal and on the front they say “Hershey’s $10 Good towards $10 of Hershey’s Products” and in the corner is the Kmart logo. However, the back has what looks like the normal terms and conditions of a regular Kmart gift card.
Can we use this like a regular gift card? I’m thinking if you can swipe it yourself it would be fine, but if you have to hand it to the cashier it would be a no go…
Let me know what you think or what has worked for you…I have 3 $10 gift cards and would prefer to not have to buy $30 worth of Hershey’s candy…

I got mine today as well, and I thought for sure there was no way they could make it for candy alone. Sure enough – they did! I’m certain it’s not coded to be good for Hershey’s only, I don’t think there’s a way to do that with a gift card. I think enforcing it would be up to a cashier, I suppose.

FYI ~ I just tried the Princess & the Frog transaction at the Spokane, WA K-mart and they will only let you use the $10 off and not the $5 off coupon as well. Becuase of the store promotion of $10 off in addition to the $10 off $20 purchase coupon, they cannot combine two (i.e. $5 off & $10 off) coupons for the same purchase. I did not see that in the small print on the $10 off $20 purchase coupon. The clerk was very nice and I did get a great deal. I got the doll & dvd for $11.98 with tax. I was still happy!

I just purchased the dvd and doll in Southern CaliforniA and used both coupons. It worked fine with both, and there were no beeps. I did not think it was even questionable to use both, but regardless, there were no questions asked, etc. I hope it doesn’t turn out to be some fraudulent use of a coupon.
