The Hip2Save Video Contest has Now Ended!

As of 11:59 PM EST last night, the video contest has now been closed for submissions! Thank you to all the awesome Hip2Save readers who submitted videos. I am so excited to sit down with a big bowl of popcorn and watch all the videos (don’t I have a horrible job?!). I hope to select and announce the 3 finalists sometime next week…I will keep you updated!

Well, I got my video all recorded and uploaded. I’ve never edited a video before so I worked for hours on it last night…finally got it somewhat viewable. but, life got in the way of me finishing it completely. (sick baby, and husband leaving for a week on a business trip..not to mention that we’re supposed to get 6 INCHES OF SNOW!!!!) So, anyway, hopefully, Collin you will do this again! and, I will be READY!!!!

This was a great contest and making the video/editing/uploading was very hard, but alot of fun. Have been watching some of the other videos on youtube and enjoying all of them. Great job ladies, I am soooooo impressed. Collin you have your work cut out for you. Best wishes.

I worked all day long friday trying to get that video published and uploaded. I went to troubleshooting forums and windows movie maker forums, and finally when I got it published and started to upload there wasn’t enough time , and my computer restarted itself in the middle of the upload…I hate vista and windows movie maker
I really wanted to kick my computer out the door. I guess it wasn’t meant for me to enter this contest!!I can’t wait to see the top 3! Good luck!

had trouble with mine too!! fransicso .. my laptop, died a few times while messing with windows movie maker. not sure if it’s just too much to handle or what. so there were a lot of times where i had to save and go back so he wouldn’t die. sorry you had such trouble.

I have watched a few of the videos and now wish I would have done this! It looks like it would have been fun! So far my favorite is Johnson’s Hip2Save Video about rummage sales! She was so creative and I am totally with her on rummage saling! I am totally addicted to rumage sales and try to go every weekend! Her tips were very good and very true!

I’m dying because now that I do daycare, I can’t hit Friday morning rummage sales like I used to…I’m tempted to send my husband to the ones that look good but I think he’d be clueless about what to do or get. I am enjoying watching some of the other ones as well! maybe in the future you might consider like a 5 minute time limit because I find myself losing interest after about that time. just an idea.
I am sure it will be hard to choose!

I agree I found myself losing interest in some. If you lose interest than it should not be the winning video. The winning video should keep you on the edge of your seat!!! What can we say… We can’t all be as good as Collin.

Oh my gosh! Some of the videos are SO awesome! I’m SO jealous of those who were able to edit and add words and sound effects etc. I didn’t know what I was doing. Mine is not edited at all LOL. Ah well…..maybe someday I will learn all those fancy things. Good luck everyone.

I had a video made up and our computer crashed while my husband was editing it! Luckily I still had the video on our camera so we came on my laptop to edit it and my husband hadn’t loaded the editing software onto the laptop and he couldn’t find the disc to do so! Missed out on this one but good luck to everyone who didn’t have these sorts of issues, lol. Can’t wait to see the Top 3.
