Target Deals 3/28-4/3

This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Sunday, March 28th, 2010 at 9:03 pm.

Numerous readers are having issues with being able to stack a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon together on one item. Well, the good news is that Target’s coupon policy clearly states that you can use both coupons together on one item. Their policy also states that if the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item, then they can adjust the coupon down. Plus, their coupon policy in now available to view online here and price matching policy here. Print them off and keep them with you every time you shop at Target. You also may want to read more about the coupon issues people have been encountering and what can be done about it here.

**Also, Target is now giving a $0.05 credit for each reusable bag you use when checking out! I’m excited about this. It’s just another great way we’ll be able to save at Target. I would call ahead to make sure your local Target is participating.

Just a heads up, my walmart has campbell’s cream of chicken for 72c (not sure if all stores have it at the same price) each so it would be 22c after the $1/2 Q and this week walmart has green giant canned veggies advertised on sale for 60c a can.

  • Leigh Anne says:

I totally scored on pillows at my Target this past weekend. I went for the $2.54 pillows but saw that they were very small and they didn’t cut it for my husband. Well, on the end cap was a bin of King Extra Firm pillows priced at $8.99. Went down the aisle and the SAME pillows were marked for $3.99. My husband and I both pretty much knew we were headed for an argument at the cash register over this! But we stood our ground and sure enough we got those huge pillows for $3.99, would have been even better if I had remembered to print the coupon!

I know this isn’t a “deal” but it still felt good! I bet those prices came down so fast after we left the store lol

    • Tonya says:

FYI…those of you who have an Albertson’s. Del Monte canned veggies are 50 cents right now. With the $1/5 Del Monte canned fruit or veggie coupon matched with the Albertson’s doubler coupon it works out to 10 cents a can.

    • fifster33 says:

It was the standard/Queen size that was on price cut for $3.99, someone must have misplaced them. I got the Queen size for $2.49 after coupon. :) Great deal.

I am going CRAZY! Every blog I read shows Rite Aid has Lysol No-Touch dispensers for 1/2 off/Every “copy” of the ad i have seem on-lineshows it! It is not in my ad and I went to the store, it is full price =(
I live in VA, I tried looking at the West coast circular on RA.com and they dont show it either. I suppose my question is, how do all of the bloggers have the same deal posted and I can’t anything at all regarding this sale. I didn’t think there was a regional problem with the rite aid flyers like there can be with coupons, My ad ALWAYS matches what I find in H2S. Anyway, I was further cheated out of the Snuggle coupon in RP too! I was SOOOOOO excited about the Lysol deal and Snuggle deal too. What a freak’n bummer. Lol

    • Ashley Marie says:

I am in WA and it was on a “half sheet” around the larger flyer. I looked on line and it isn’t there. It had three region numbers but I can’t remember them at this moment (I posted it under someone’s question in the Rite Aid deals earlier). Obviously just a regional thing… :(

  • Rita says:

Be sure to check your Target receipt if you do the games. My receipt showed the Bop it price at$14.00 -$5.00 man. coup $5.24 for Scrabble Slam subtotal $19.24 (should have been $14.24) minus my $3.00 coupon and minus $5.24 game promo for a final cost of $11.00… I explained that although it showed the -$5.00 manuf coup that it did not take it off… it took 15 minutes for them to finally give me my $5.00. So be sure to always check your receipts.

  • Laura says:

went to target today. got GREAT diaper deals using target and manu. coupons! I never have a problem there. I <3 target..they have kids clothes for great prices too

  • A says:

Target baby clothes 75% off , yahoo!

  • Sandy says:

My Target had Target coupon peelies for $2.00 off Monopoly or Scrabble Slam card games. I bought 2 Battleship games (on sale for $9) and 1 Monopoly card game (priced at $5.24) yesterday. I had $4 MFQ’s on Battleship and 2 of the $3 Target q’s, a $5 Monopoly MFQ and then the $2 Target Monopoly q. I paid $2.24 plus tax for all 3 games.

I noticed the Monopoly card game is free this week with the purchase of a few select games..Hungry Hungry Hippos is one of them (priced at $14.00). I wonder if you could use the $5 MFQ and the $2 Target q for the Monopoly card game even though it is free with purchasing Hungry Hungry Hippos? There is a $4 q for the HHH game too. If so, that would make it $3 for all 3 games. Does anyone know if you can use a MFQ at Target on an item which they make free?

  • LemonHead says:

My target has some kids C9 clothes clearance to $2.98. I had a few $2.50 off C9 cothing coupons to make the tshirts $.48.

  • LemonHead says:

Oh, some huggies wipes are clearance. Pair the $.50 man cpn and the $1 target coupon and score them for $.53!!

  • Collin,

The link to the price match policy you have is for Target.com not the store.

The actual link is: Target Low Price Promise Policy

  • Nicole says:

For the BC cookie mix there is a Target $.40 off printable. It was on the website like a week ago. I printed it, not sure if it’s still there. If you did score cookie mix for $.59!

  • Heather says:

For the people having problems using Target coupons and stacking them with manufacturer coupons: I’ve noticed that even if you print the coupons off the target site some of them still say manufacturer coupon. Therefore they might not stack them because technically you’re trying to use 2 manufacturers’ coupons for the same item. I personally haven’t had an issue at my Target yet, they usually push it through, I recommend double checking what the coupons say before you try stacking them because that might be where the problem’s coming from. :)

  • Adriane says:

So I have a Target $10 off Crest 3D strips and a $10 off manufacturers coupon. Can I use them together then?

  • Heather R says:

target has manufacturer and target coupons on there site, if it says target then you can use a manufacturer with it. the ones that says manufacturer on them but have the target logo can not be combined with another manufacturer coupon.

  • May says:

I have had trouble in the past getting the 5 cents per reusable bag credit. I discovered that the bar code to scan for it is right on the front of the register. If your cashier doesn’t know about it, just point out the bar code to scan for each of your bags. It worked for me and the cashier thanked me for showing it to her.

  • Melissa says:

My target ad today specifically said that target is happy to accept a target coupon and a mfr coupon for the same item. If people are having problems with cashiers, they can hand them their own ad!

    Great deals!
This is random but Albertsons has Del Monte canned veggies for Buy 2 for a $1 today till march 30th
If you guys have albertsons near you, there are also doubler coupons you can use

I purchased 15 canned del monte veggies using 3 of the $1/5 coupons from the 2/7 RP
and 3 doubler albertsons q’s and final price was $1.50! Awesome stock up price!!!!!!

    • Tonya says:

yeah! I bought 30 yesterday and might buy 30 more today :) 60 cans for $6!! Can’t beat that. I’ll end up donating 20 cans.

    • fifster33 says:

how are you getting more than one Doubler ad? I only get one in my sunday paper.

      • SaraJC says:

I purchase 3-4 sunday newspapers and they usually have the albertsons doublers in it. Or you can ask customer service at albertsons and they might have them aswell.

  • Katie says:

Snuggle fabcir softner is better from Kmart this week. It’s on sale for 2/$5 and using 2 $3/1 it’s a $1 money maker.

  • MoKeaton says:

I purchased Hungry Hungry Hippos, and Bop-it last week. The Bop-It was $19.99 even though everyone had said that it was $14. Also, my Target said buy $14 worth of Hasbro games, get Scrabble Slam or Monopoly card game free, but the game never rang up for free. I had to point it out to her, as the game rang up $6.04, and it didn’t say Scrabble Slam, it said Checklane. Finally got it fixed though. This trying to save is mentally exhausting! LoL

  • Megan says:

I don’t see the starbucks coffe coupon in 3/21 SS.

  • Tilla says:

I didn’t find the 5 dollar off game coupon in the 3/21 inserts, does anyone know where it is?

  • Kim says:

My Target ad says “Free Scrabble Slam or Monopoly Deal Card Game with purchase of any $10 or more Hasbro game”. So my question is if you use the $5 Bop It and $3 Target coupon bringing the amount to $6 will it still give the card game free?

  • Lori says:

I cannot find the Dial Nutriskin Hand Soap at either of the Targets close to me. Do they only carry them in certain parts of the country? (I’m in Oregon).

    • Melissa S. says:

My target(s) don’t have the hand soap nutriskin either. They have the body soap, but it’s an arm and a leg, and I am not paying that amount for it.

      • Pamela says:

I am in Michigan and I checked for the nutriskin hand soap but they didn’t have that kind! They had other kinds for about the same price but not the kind listed on the coupon.

    • Miss Jay says:

My target didn’t have the nutriskin either. They allowed me to use the target Q for a regular dial soap, which was priced at $1.44, stacked the the $.35/1 mani this made for a great price!

    • Samantha says:

I was going to post the same question. Only body wash here in North MS, too. =(

    • fifster33 says:

not here in Fairview, Oregon either. Been looking for it for two weeks now….

    • Virginia says:

My Target did not have it either but I was able to use the Target Dial coupon on the Aloe dial hand soap that was also priced at $1.37 (so only .37 after Q). I had read that some stores were letting people do this. When I got up to the register she did not even check and just scanned and the the q’s went through with no beeps! So I plan to go get a few more.

    • pam says:

  • Barb says:

RE: Target coupon policy. My Target has their policy posted on plaques at the checkouts. One merely has to turn around and point to show the cashier. Of course, in this environment, I have not had any problems with respect to stacking.

The only problem I ever have is if the coupon won’t scan. I purchased a comforter set one Sat evening and Sunday AM Collin posted a 20% off Target coupon. I took the coupon,my receipt and the UPC to the store. She tried scanning the coupon and receipt but it wouldn’t work. She then tried to make up a reason (wasn’t legitimate for that brand) that it would not. The coupon did not specify any brand just “bedding.” I made her refund the transaction and re-scan everything. Then it went through and she didn’t have any problem with it.

I have noticed that the younger people never question anything that is written until it doesn’t scan, and then they are loathe to determine why. Just laziness I suppose. It works for the couponer some times and other times against.

  • Rajean says:

FYI…I just printed the ReNu $2/1 q. It states for 12 oz or larger, so it won’t work for the travel size kit. I have used the $1/1 q before and it worked just fine.

  • Ann says:

For an even better deal on the Scott TP, price match CVS…they have it for $6.88, so after the MQ and TQ it is $4.88 for the 12 pack.

  • Laurie says:

    LEAPSTER ALERT

The only two games listed at $15 at my store (South Orange County, CA) were Jedi Math and Pet Pals. The rest were pretty much $19.99. There was one for $16.99 (Jedi Reading) and some were still $24.99. I was bummed ’cause I already had Jedi Math, and my son really wouldn’t care about Pet Pals. I still did the deal, and ended up paying about $12 each. Still a good price, but not the exciting “score” I was hoping for.

Yeah, I didn’t notice the ad said “titles shown” so I was excited to do it, too. I ended up leaving a $50 purchase because the games weren’t worth $7.50 apiece in my opinion. (I was using the games as part of a $50 purchase to get a $5 gift card.)

Thanks…..called the target, it’s 14 days…so today is the last day, let’s see if I can get free card game also which is advertised…..thanks “another target employee”, got another question for u…..out of the 3 targets I go one is charging me tax on the amount which is before coupons,
ex… .other day I bought $30 worth of stuff but after Target coupons($9) it came down to $21 & used $12 in MQ but tax was on $21 & not on $9(30-9-12 = $9)….didn’t noticed first two times but this time noticed & matched with other targets receipts….now going to ask them today……

    • fifster33 says:

you’re supposed to pay tax on the original amount of the product, before q’s. thats what I’ve always had and known.

      • Tilla says:

you are required to pay tax on pre coupon prices. this has and always will be the case because tax goes to the state/county/government, not the store. it’s like if you have a free product coupon such as a soda, you are still required to pay the tax…bah hum bug, our sales tax is now up to 9.3 percent…ouch!

Is anyone finding the $1.50 starbucks q on the Target site? I only get .50/1 “Via.” Is there a specific zip code to find it? Thanks!

    • Dana says:

Where you able to do the 2 games in 1 transaction and get the 2 card games? I have a rain check on the $7.00 connect for and would like to do several in one transaction if I can.

      • Megan says:

All in one transaction. The cashier was a little older and looked kind of grouchy when I walked up, but was actually nice and said WOW! at the end of my transaction. My original total was $68, $14 after coupons. My gift closet is growing with all these game deals:)
