Walgreens: $0.39 Sally Hershberger Hair Care + Almost FREE Nestle Crunch Bars!
This Hip2Save.com deal was hand-posted on Sunday, March 7th, 2010 at 2:29 pm.
I have a new Walgreens Clearance find to tell you all about! According to Mary over at Couponers United you may be able to score Sally Hershberger Shampoos & Conditioners for just $0.39! How? Well, you may find them on clearance for just $2.39. Plus, you can use the $2/1 coupon from here (use zip code 90210) to score a bottle for just $0.39! Let us know if you’re able to find these on clearance too!
Also, Nestle Crunch bars (1.55 oz) are on sale for just $0.49 with in ad coupon and there’s a new buy one get one FREE coupon to sweeten this deal further. Here’s how the deal would go:
Buy 2 Nestle Crunch Bars regularly priced at $0.89 each = $1.78
Use the buy one get one FREE coupon from the 3/7 SS (will deduct $0.89)
Use the in ad coupon making each bar $0.49 (will deduct $0.80)
Final cost $0.09 for Both!
(Thanks, Sue!)
…AND finally, there may be an unadvertised Register Reward deal available on Post Cereal. Reader, Stefani, purchased 4 boxes of Post cereal this morning and got back a $3 Register Reward. Have any of you received a Register Reward for purchasing post cereal?! Let us know!

I purchased 2 boxes of Honey Bunches of Oats Post cereal this morning and didn’t get a RR. So, maybe you have to purchase 4. (I used a $1.00 off 2 MQ coupon. They are on sale for $1.75 a box and it’s a good size box)
I got my Nestle crunch bars this morning too and used both coupons, love the candy bar deals!
Lori says:
On my way to Walgreens right now with my coupons. Let you know what happens!

I also noticed that my Target had a whole end cap of this shampoo on clearance yesterday… $1.48, I think? I didn’t get it because I didn’t have a coupon… but now I do!
Meghan says:
Hey Collin,
If you have the $5/3 All You Feb coupon for various Listerine and Reach products, you can also use that with the in-ad q for $5.01/3 to get 3 Listerine or Reach products for free and $1 overage.

I received some coupons from Tylenol because of bottles I had which were under their recall. I purchased 4 100-count bottles, paid the tax and received a $10 RR. For those who received these coupons, it’s a great way to make a few $$$s!
Beth says:
FYI, I’ve been to 3 Walgreens in Madison and none of them had the shampoo.
Betsy says:
I saw my Walgreen’s in Osage Beach, MO had Sally Hershberger on clearance! Exciting!
Rachael says:
Just went to the walgreens in Glendale Heights and they had none left. I saw them there a few weeks ago though. I’ll check a couple more walgreens later this week. Hopefully I can find some!
Hillary Boone says:
Thanks for posting this!! I needed some conditioner so I hurried up printed the Sally Herberger q and ran to Wags and got my conditioner for .37!!! Thanks Collin!
Lori says:
No shampoo at my Walgreens. Did use the Nestle Crunch coupons though, but it ook 2 different Walgreens to make the coupons work to my advantage. Make sure the cashier uses the manufacturer coupon first then apply the Walgreens coupon. Paid .28 for two candy bars. One Walgreens fought with me and refused to use the manufacturer coupon first (why they care I have no idea…they get the money back from the manufacturer anyways). So, I left and went to a different one and handed the manufacturer coupon first, let them total it and then handed them the Walgreens coupon. Thanks for all the great tips ladies!
candylover says:
why does it make a difference which coupon you hand them first?
Adrianna says:
It makes a big difference. For example, the past nivea lip care deal:
Using the Walgreens store coupon to make the lip care $.99 and a manufacture’s coupon for B1G1. Assuming you are going to buy two that retail at $2.50:
-If you hand over the B1G1 first, then $2.50 is deducted from your bill. THEN you hand over the one that makes the lip care $.99. This leaves you with an overage of $2.50 to spend on other items you purchase with the lip care!
-If you hand over the .99 coupon first, both lip care products cost 1.98. Then you hand over the B1G1 and .99 cents is taken off. This way you end up PAYING .99 for both lip products.
Hope that helps!
candylover says:
makes perfect sense now! thanks!!!
Jenny says:
I am an avid couponer and love doing all the deals… but somehow this type of scenario smacks me as not totally ethical, since the coupon price is .49. I think I would feel uncomfortable doing this! I get how it “works”, but just don’t feel it’s right.
Does anyone have any enlightening words for me? Maybe I just haven’t thought about it from the right angle.
Anonymous says:
I dont believe it is ethical. I love getting a coupon and getting a product free. But when it comes to overage I dont think thats right. somewhere, someone is getting shorted the company that put the coupon out, the store, etc. The coupon is not being used for the way it was intended. Just my feelings on the matter.
Kristin says:
Does anybody know which coupon inserts have post cereal coupons?
Anon says:
No Sally conditioner/shampoo at my Wags but they did have the Post Cereal for $1 not $1.75!

By the way.. With the Nestle Crunch
You can use the BOGO coupon and use your free coupon from the facebook game
(Good for one free Nestle Crunch)
Then use your .49 IVC coupon end up making about $.40
YMMV
Kara says:
I went to Walgreens and the Nestle Crunch were 2 for $1.59 so the deal worked like this:
Buy 2 for $1.59
use B1G1 free (3-7-10 SS)
& in ad coupon to make them $.49 each
(1st was $.89 – $.40 from in ad coupon = $.49)
(2nd was $.70 – $.21 from in ad coupon = $.49)
= 2 for $.28
Lori says:
Ditto for me!
Liz says:
same here!
Debra says:
Regarding the BOGO Nestle crunch candy bars, My Walgreens took off .49 for each candy bar, making them .25 each. Not a super great deal.

i normally have no problems at my walgreens, in fact they are terrific…but it was weird, she deducted 70 cents for each free bar I bought (I had 2 of the BOGO coupons) I realize for the 2/1.59 they price it out as one is 89, and one is 70—but normally they do the higher amount–since they are being reimbursed by nestle…oh well. not as great as I hoped, but I still did well!
oh–if any of you have the weightwatchers mags, (i got them thru a freebie deal i read on here a while back) they have $5/3 reach/listerene products.
so I bought three of the listerene total care mouth washes, handed over the q, and then the walgreens q ….and made money on the deal. not bad.
jaime says:

Sally Hershberger Shampoos & Conditioners were also clearanced at my Target on an End cap for $3.79-$4.79 which would be alittle more than Walgreens but with $2/1 coupon it’s still a great deal
patti says:
Am in Michigan, my Walg had one bottle of the Sally styler left on clearance and then the Walg by my work had the conditioner. SCORE! Thanks!
peggy says:

Maria says:

what an awesome price for shampoo and conditioner- By the way they still have some of those Gillette bodywashes in the back,,, I asked them to look and they have them back there “hiding” i guess lol
Kari says:
I just received the expired message on the jellybeans, too. I’m guessing they reached their print limit already.
Nicole says:

Diana Woloszyk says:

After watching the video, you can also print a coupon to purchase Sally Hershberger products

The Vancouver, WA 164th & Padden, had the Sally Hershberger Shampoos & Conditioners on clearance for $2.39, but I missed out on being able to print the coupons…bummer. Did score the BOGO Renpure & got another ‘try me free’ rebate item & the Eclipse Breeze Gum Berry Exotic flavor was $0.65 clearance, but it tastes horrible, cinnaberry gone wrong! lol.
Samantha says:
Jenny,
I, too try to be very ethical when using coupons. To me, there is nothing unethical about doing the Nestle deal because the .49 in ad coupon is the same thing as a store sale. Walgreens will be reimbursed the .89 plus handling fee for the BOGO coupon and the .80 deducted when using the in ad coupon is all that it costs the company.
Shelly T. says:
No shampoo or conditioner at my WAGS.
Mama bear says:
There wasn’t any shamp/cond at my WAGS either. I’m going to try some other stores though. Anyone who wasn’t able to print them, try this. http://www.redplum.com/pages/viewoffer.aspx?id=1524574:3436340 I hope that helps someone!
A.D. says:
Thanks, was able to print two!
PS says:
Thanks was able to print
Judy says:
I printed the coupons and headed to our local Walgreens. Unfortunately, all they had in the SH products was some hair gel for $3.29. But the Nestle Crunch deal was cool–BOGO so $.89 off, then they took off $.40 each with the Walgreens coupon. I tried to do the same at Kroger where they are 2/$1, but they just took off $.50.
moochy says:
It’s on clearance here, for $5.49. Not cheap.
