I just did the same thing as #8 above! My almost 7 year old daughter is having a crafty party at Michael’s in May. I ordered 9 of these (Yep, 9! Let’s see how many people whine about me being greedy for buying these to give to little lady party guests) as party favors for the girls she has invited. Now what about all the boys? Hey, thats Ok. The folks that buy up dozens of things just because they are a good deal probably can’t open their cabinets without stuff falling out. Sometimes less is more. I have more often had buyer’s regret from buying something I did not need than losing out on a deal that is all gone. Less stuff equals less clutter.

The first thing I learned in this “coupon game” is: You win some and you lose some!!! Seriously, none of us has any obligation to buy some arbitrary small number (be it 1 or 2 or4) so there are enough for everyone….even if we all only got one, someone would miss out. And then there would be people complaining that they needed one for their daughter, niece, whatever when the other person was only buying it as a birthday gift for some kid not even related to them (**GASP** the audacity of some people!). Who are you to say that your one is any more deserving than the 9 little first grade girls who are coming to my daughter’s birthday party? I didn’t get any ponies either if that makes you feel any better. I also didn’t get the great Alvin movie/P&G deal at CVS this weekend either cause they’re all sold out in my area and my kids were sick so I couldn’t shop until Wed. Are my panties in a bunch? Nope! Should I be ticked that someone may have bought two and I didn’t get one? OMG, no!!!! Am I going to keep trying to get good deals because it is the SMART thing to do? Yep! If you are sick of it, then take your ball and go home but don’t peek out your window because I will be out there playing the “game” and scoring the deals you are too righteous to get!

I went to Kohl’s this morning and scored some pretty good deals. I got the Playskool Dapper Dan doll (learning doll with zipper, etc.) for $3.73! It was the last one too.
Not feeling bad I missed out. 2 year old DD dumped one of these on the floor. Soap is so fun to get out of carpets.
Rachel – I don’t see how that is greedy. Just means we weren’t quick enough. If the store doesn’t want you buying more than 1, they would limit you. It’s not like she is buying a ton just because. She needs them for a party, but even if she was buying a ton just beacuse, I don’t see the harm in that. Just try to get it quicker next time. You win some, you lose some. I don’t see how it’s that big of a deal. Like someone else said, another deal will come along soon enough.
If someone wants to buy 10, so what. If the store wanted to limit the quantity, they would. There will always be another deal and you could always try to get them in store.
In case anyone is looking at the nike Sweet Classic shoes for toddlers, they were $7 in my store today. They are 13.20 on the website.
