I was just turned on to your blog by a friend a couple weeks ago, but must tell you how much I appreciate your work here! I really find your format easy to read and follow and I’m a coupon fanatic now! My son and husband will now say, “Mom won’t let us get that because we don’t have a coupon!” It’s really great! Thank you!

  2. Val B

I think the Vocal point Puffs coupon can be used for the P&G deal thanks for posting so fast.

  3. Jessica D.

This past week Walgreens had Puffs on sale for $0.99 each, including the Puffs plus lotion. I was able to get these for $0.49 each with the $0.50 off coupons from Vocalpoint. Now I see this coming week CVS has Puffs for $0.99 – so the Vocalpoint coupons could be used again!

  4. Amanda H

Has anyone noticed the U by Kotex coupon on cvs.com? I’m wondering , can it be stacked with a manufacturers coupons?

    • lilia

yes you can because it’s not a manufacture coupon it’s a cvs coupon cause it start with the number 4

  5. Tara

I got the 1.00 off CVS paper products coupon by scanning my card.. and along with it came a coupon for 1.00 of CVS body care, and I was able to use it to score a free trial size CVS Cocoa Butter lotion!

    • Erica

I used the $1 off paper for the green papertowels it made them 29 cents!

      • Tara

        Awesome!!

        • Christina

Tara I did the exact same thing. Love cocoa butter in the summertime! 🙂

    • Samantha

I got the cocoa butter, too! My CVS did not have the single rolls of paper towels in stock but I was able to get TWO of the single rolls of toilet paper ( on sale for 2/$1) with the coupon! Also had a CRT for $5 any Lumene product and bought the time freeze eye cream priced at 3.99 and the cashier gave me the overage!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How long does it take to get good coupons from the price scanning machine? I have shopped there about once a week since Feb. and all I ever get is cvs brand coupons. I tried to sign up for coupons online and it said I was already in the system, but I never get emails with coupons. Can you stack cvs logo coupons (like the ones you find a flyer of in the store or the ones you can print from their website) with man. coupons? Also can you have 2 green bag tags tied to the same cvs card? I know they are suppose to have buy a green bag tag and get ecb for .99 back…I already have one but can I get another and it work with my cvs card? Hope that made sense..thanks.

    • Melissa

It really depends on how much you spend OOP, how often you shop, if you fill RXs & how many per month. For a while I wasn’t getting any coupons from the scanner, then DH got diagnosed with diabetes and he refills 3-4rx’s per month now (it was more when he was on insulin & having to get test strips every month!!) Anyway, that was over a year ago and now I get all kinds of coupons from the scanner and at least twice a month get a $/$$ email coupon. If you aren’t getting anything, I would call CS and just ask them. Sometimes the website will say you’re in the system, but its not registered like that on their end.

AFA stacking…only if the CVS coupon is a store coupon can you pair it with a manf coupon. Like if you get a coupon on your receipt, you can stack with a manf cpn. Some of the coupons found in the Reinventing Beauty magazine are store cpns as well. The cpns on the website, most are manf q’s that have the CVS logo on them. The way I remember it is if the coupon starts with a 5 (or 9), it is a manf coupon and can be stacked with a store coupon b/c store coupons start with any other number.

For the Green Bag Tag, yes you can have more than 1. Its not really tied to your card specifically as all of the tags have the same exact UPC # on them. I have 2 myself. But you can only scan one of them once per day for credit. Though I have read on other boards ppl getting credit when they’ve had their tag scanned at a different store. I haven’t tried, so I can’t be sure on that.

      • Roger

I’ve had trouble with cashiers knowing you can only scan one bag tag per day, so trying to do transactions at one store wouldn’t work for me. So I use the bag tag at one store, then hit another on the way home for a separate purchase. CVS’s are everywhere. But this way works for me.

  7. Marci

I’m hoping for a Schick Hydro coupon soon! I really want one!

    • nicole

There is a $2.00 coupon from the 4/11/10 SS insert.

      • Melissa

that cpn is for disposable razor. The Hydro is not a disposable razor since you need to buy refills for the handle.

  8. Amanda

I had to hurry to get some deals before they ended today (4/10) and when I scanned my CVS card at the magical coupon machine I got the usual $5/$30 and a Buy One Violage Shampoo Get One Free CVS Q!!! I did a price check in store and they were 3.99 at my store, I decided to hold off. Glad I did, this week they’ll be 2/$2.50 with the 2/$5 sale!

    • Jennifer A

what and where is the magical coupon machine? thanks

      • Melissa

mine is at the front of the store, right when you walk in. Its a red kiosk (sorta like the price ck boxes at Target)

  9. Morgan

Neutrogena deal is cheaper if you do the 6.99 cleanser use the $1 coupon, 1 suncare product for 9.99 use $2 coupon. Total 13.98, get back $5 ecb……..Is my math right?

    Thx

  10. Bonnie

My store said that facial tissues, (the purse packs sell for 2/$.99) count as both CVS paper products and skin care products. With the $1 off CVS brand paper and skin care item coupons that have been printing (for me daily) I am getting 4 packs for free each time.

  11. Gail

I went to CVS last night and did the Johnson & Pedialyte senario found on this site. The register beeped after the cashier scanned the $1.50 coupons for the pedialyte. She explained that a BOGO coupon is a coupon on both products so my other coupons exceed the allowable amount. I’ve had problems with CVS before and I am not in favor of going back there anymore. Can anyone explain what happened? Should I have given her the $1.50/1 Pedialyte coupons before the BOGO coupons to keep from beeping.

    • Melissa

Yes. I always give my $/$$ coupons first, then BOGO. The reason is the BOGO cpn
attaches to both items so when you give the $/$$ cpn there is nothing to attach to and beeps.
When you give the $/$$ first, it still leaves the 2nd item open for another coupon. The BOGO cpn will still beep, but its b/c its asking the cashier for the price (not that you’ve exceeded your coupon/item limit)

      • Melissa

That should be $/1 not $/$$

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I think we should give bogo coupon first, then $ q for second product next. for an instance, during P&G $35 deal at rite aid, i was able to use B2G1 coupon and a .20 coupon for old spice and secret. but next day, the cashier scanned the .20 first. so for the bogo, i did not get the full price. .20 cent is not a big deal, but we should know the techniques so that we don’t have to loose money. since then, i m giving bogo first, then the other coupon. make sure that the second coupon is attached for only one.
earlier i called cvs and they told me i can use 2 coupons during bogo.
        i have the emails too.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

by the way, i was buying 4 old spice and 2 secret (buy 2 old spice get a secret deodorant free).

        • Deanna

BTW, Shimla, you can use two coupons when CVS is offering a BOGO Sale of their own, so I’ve been told…it’s when you give them a BOGO coupon and want to use another $ off coupon that I get all confused.

      • Deanna

I messed up on this today, too, and I still haven’t figured out which way is the best way…

Assuming you are buying 2 of the same items at the same price at CVS, if you scan a $ off coupon first, then the BOGO, won’t the register then take off the cheaper of the two items for the BOGO? You basically wasted a $ off coupon at that point. But, as I found ot today, CVS does attach BOGOs to both items, which means you can’t use any other coupon for either, even though you are still paying for one. Seems you should still be able to get $ off the one you are paying for???

This was the first time I got confused at CVS! Confused the new cashier, too…when the register beeped, she very politely told me that I had reached my limit of 3 coupons per day!

  12. Julia

Many Biore cleansers and strips at my store had $2 off wyb 2 peelies on them. Sweetend this deal even further! 🙂

  13. JoR

    Tresemme shampoo/conditioner Travel Size .97
-$1/1 ANY Tresemme Product (I belive 3-21-10 SS)
    = FREE!

  14. FrugalFriend

If you are a VocalPoint Member, look out for the Puffs sample in the mail. I just got mine and found $1 and 5 $0.50 Qs, good for the P&G Deal, especially if you need filler items!

  15. Retta

I got the haagen dazs deal. you can use the $1/2 coupon from target’s website for those 🙂

    • Melissa

thanks!! I was wondering if there was an IP!

If you printed the $2/1 dove shampoo or condition coupon that was on the dove site a few weeks ago, makes it a $2 MM!! I paired that with the Coke deal. My CVS had $1/2 peelies on the coke 12-pks a few weeks ago, which sweetened the deal!!
      4.49 dove + $13/4 Cokes = 17.49. Used $2 Dove IP, 2 $1/2 coke peelies & $8 in ECBs. Paid $6.35 (5.49+tx)

  16. fuzzymitten

The John Frieda shampoo deal didn’t work for me. I had to buy a travel size hairspray and still didn’t get the ECB. The manager had to manually give it to me.

BTW: The Full Volume conditioner is part of the recall.

  17. holi easley

isn’t there a 10.00 rebate on the P & G items in the mail too? I can’t find my pile of rebate info, but I swear I have a print off saying if you buy 25.00 dollars on the same receipt they refund you a 10.00 card. Mixed with the CVS 10.00 that is alot of cheap goodies!

  18. Alissa

I did the P&G deal using only the Bounty paper towels. Bought two 12 packs for $12.99/ea. Came out to $24.98 (after using the $1/1 Bounty coupon) and got the $10 rebate. The paper towels were a much better sale price than the toilet paper, so I wanted to stock up on those (plus the toilet paper goes on sale more often elsewhere than the Bounty paper towels do – especially the Extra Soft).

I always find it easiest to compare unit prices to see which is the best deal.

As a comparison: I went to Target yesterday too. Here are their prices:
Charmin toilet paper ($11.50 for what’s equivalent to 48 regular rolls, or $.24/roll).
At CVS, it’s $9.99 for the equivalent of 32 rolls, or $.32/roll.

Target’s Bounty prices were $12.49 for an 8-roll of Bounty, or $1.56/roll.
Much better sale price at CVS for a 12-roll, $1.08/roll. PLUS the $10 ECB back, makes it a much better deal on the paper towels.

Anyway, just thought I’d post in case anyone was interested in what prices were like elsewhere.

  19. SavinginLA

    Hi,
I received a 4$ off 20$ in beauty products today. Can someone let me know if the Dove and Dial will qualify for that or should I buy something else?

    Thanks

    • Melissa

Wondering the same thing. I already bought the Dove & Dial this morning, but thinking I’d like to do the Nivea deal using the cpn. Actually I’m kinda peeved at myself. Went to Walgreens for the Biore (coulda sworn there was a RR deal for it) couldn’t find the Schick shave gel, so I had to improvise and burn a $7 RR on the fly. No RR printed for the Biore and I burned my BOGO cpn on them. And as I’m walking out the door, I spot the display with the new Hydro razor & shave gel. Didn’t have time to do a return/exchange cause I had to pick up ds for a dr appt. I coulda used the $4/20 towards the Biore deal at CVS instead…..This is why I stick to one drug store. Trying to juggle the 2 always causes me to spend more OOP than I intend.

Wondering the same thing here….. What exactly qualifies as beauty?

      • Maraissa

I got that too and went to their website and looked under the beauty tab. I figured that anything under that tab qualifies, but I haven’t come up with any good deal scenarios yet. Too bad it expires tomorrow….

        • Maraissa

I went today and got 2 biore + 1 jergens glow lotion= $20. minus the $4 cpn, bogo cpn, and $1 biore cpn = $9 plus $5 eb = $4. There was a $1 jergens cpn in sun. paper that I didn’t have, so it would have been an even better deal, but I didn’t think $4 was too bad for all of that.

I checked the flyer and it looks like the Dial nutriskin falls under the limited time beauty sale. The Aussie shampoo and conditioner is also under that heading. So I am going to try the Dial Nutriskin BW, Dove shampoo and anything else that can give me ECBs.

Does anyone know where i can find a coupon for the $25 gift card when you tranfer your prescription?

    • SavinginLA

You can use the RA 25$ for transfer of prescription coupon from last week’s ad and CVS will honor it. At least my store did that.

      • Susie

My CVS Pharmacist told me they no longer honor competitor’s coupons for scripts. Maybe it’s a store-by-store policy.

  21. Tara

Pepcid coupon link is not working for me, when i tried just going directly to their website instead of using the link it said that no more prints are available.

  22. Alissa

Got a great deal on John Frieda:
    Bought 3 ($5 each)
Used 3 of the $2.50/1 coupons online
    Paid $7.50
    Got $5 in ECB
Final cost: $2.50 for all three!

  23. TD

go to biore.com for $1 off coupons.
