WOW I hope mine does too, but they tend to be slow at marking things down… This would be AWESOME I have been patiently waiting for a great deal on them 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Me too 🙂

      • Amy

        Me three!

        • Leyla

Mine Target is the same, what is the deal with that?

  2. Sabine

I paid about $5 at Walgreen’s about three weeks ago. I love mine! I thought at first it was a frivolous idea, but it cuts down on soap waste with children and keeps everything cleaner. But I would not advise purchasing one if you do not want to pay for subsequent refills. One refill does not last long, and by that time you are attached to the product. I just went out today and bought two more at a far higher price than if I bought Softsoap or Dial. I’m a pretty frugal person, but I wanted to continue using this product. They sure hooked me!

    • Heather

I haven’t picked one up yet- can you refill the original bottle of this system with another kind of soap (to cut down on cost)?

    • cjs

I have one for my daughter’s bathroom upstairs (guests do not use it)…so, I poked a hole at the top of the ‘refill’ and refilled it with some Dial Nutriskin that I got for *free*. Then taped it with clear tape, so it is hardly noticeable. I haven’t tried any other kinds of soap, and I don’t know if it will eventually ‘clog’ the mechanics.

      • Sabine

Yeah, the soap is not very thick.

      • Krystal S

That is such a great idea:) i am gonna try that as soon as the soap runs out in mine:)

        • Tasha

I have thought about that also but have not found anything in my home sharp enough to punch the hole…..also if you think the other brands of soap would be too thick dilute with water

    • Dwana

I LOVE this product. We have two units in the house. A friend of mine told me that you can refill them with any soap. I haven’t attempted it! These are so great, though, and nice as a housewarming gift. 5 out of 5. I love that it encourages the little ones to wash their hands!

I need another unit and if I don’t have this coupon it’s still a great buy! Oh BTW I also snagged the Finish Quantumatic. It was on sale at Genuardi’s for $6.98 and I found a few $3 coupons. I figured what the heck. I’ll give that a 3.5 out of 5. It saves you just a few seconds.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have a motion detecting soap dispenser that I paid about $10 for at TJMaxx. I like this one a lot because you can change the settings for how much you want to come out (one squirt, two, three, four) It can be filled with any kind of hand soap except the foamy stuff. I was toying with picking up one of these Lysol ones for the other bathroom, but I don’t like the idea of having to buy that one kind of soap for it and not being able to change the settings. Thanks for the heads up!

    • judy

I popped open the cap of the soap with a screwdriver and refill it. Mine goes off if we walk by it. Sensor too sensitive?

    • mommy247

just use a scewdriver on the refill bottle to open it and then you can you your own soap, worked for me 🙂

    • felipa

FOR TH REFLL I JUST TOOK THE TOP OFF OF THE OLD ONE AND WENT TO WALMART BOUGHT A BIG JUG OF REFILL SOAP AND JUST FILL IT UP WHEN EVER NEEDED!

    • mirriam

  3. dee

Please make note what states, etc, these clearance prices are……mine never seem to have
these clearance prices. I do follow the deals, and do however, get those. Thanks

  4. consuelo

    hialeah, fl

Scotch fur fighter was on clearance for $1.48 and i was able to use a $4.00 coupon.

    • teresa longstreet

i will have to check that one out.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are so tempting me to just run out and check! Arggggg…

On a side note, I keep checking the ottomans, and they are only on clearance for $13… I think we might be behind on the sales too.

I’m in TN… did the person who found this on clearance put her state?

    • nicole

did not see a state on her post .. in Tx they are on sale for $10 but not $5

      • Maria

I was just at Target yesterday and the same purple faux suede one was still full price at $19.99! I’m in Rochester, Michigan

        • Craig

Dang, dont they know us Michiganders need deals too? LOL

        • Joanna

I’m in MI too and mine are 19.99 too! we must be way behind here in MI!

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

All the great deals i see that people find at target i can never find here… im in Macomb Michigan …Sigh, Maybe one day they will realize how much us michiganders like the deals too

      • cathy

my part of TX the ottomans are still 20

    • jessica davis

I have not checked this deal yet but I am in Tennessee. Near Knoxville. I have checked for the ottoman, purses, sock, and soaps and have not been able to find any!

      • Sabine

I am near Knoxville as well. No good clearance items here. The clearances I do see do not resemble clearance prices. And we have so many Targets you would think they would have good clearances.

I think people are buying most things before they get to the clearance stage, or the inventory control is really tight. You have to get there the first day of the sale to get anything from the clothing dept.

So, I’ve made it a policy to make no more “special trips” because 99 chances out of 100, the item is nowhere near clearance.

    • Tina in Virginia

Here in northern VA the solid color ottomans are not marked down at all. Still $19.99.

      • MAP

In Central NJ, the price are still 19.99

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found the ottomans marked down in leesburg, va. I went to get more on Monday, they were gone. Sterling is out of them too.

          • Amy L

The pink and purple were still $19.99 here near Baltimore as well, no clearance sticker but when I scanned the purple it did ring up $13.98…..

    • Shevin

I live in Orlando Florida & that cute little ottoman is FULL price here!!! So aggravating! I am going to keep checking it though b/c you never know. I will say our Merona purses are on sale but not as low as some that I’ve heard but on sale for $7 & using the $5 off to make it $2 is good for me. :o) As far as this Lysol system goes I was thinking there had to be a way to refill it as well, and my hubby esp. is determined to check it out once the soap is empty to figure out how to refill it ourselves. So I will give him that idea. My kids don’t do well with it as they sit & let it go at least 2x’s & most of the time they move their hands in the middle of the second one & it just literally goes down the drain!! So it’s now in the kitchen which is much nicer for when I’m cooking/food prep to not use my gross hands to pump soap!! So it’s my luck that it goes on clearance 2 weeks after getting it for $4. Oh well what are you going to do?!?!

    • Bobbi

The purple ones were on clearance at my Target for $10 (Marion, IL).

  6. Michelle

I got a couple of pure and natural body washes on clearance for 2.48. After a couple of $2/1 coupons I snagged them for 48 cents each. Also a SoftSoap for 2.48, the kind that matches your decor(sorry forgot the name), with a $1/1 coupon it was only 1.48! Yes!

    • nicole

got some Pure and Natural hand soap for the guest bathroom and it was on clearance for $1.98 … and they cashier argued about the .02 … seriously ? but I still got my free soap

    • Leyla

Where in the store did you find the Pure & Natural?

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Heck yall are making me want to run to target… Im planning to go tomorrow anyways, hoping i can find me some great deals in Texas.

  8. danielle

was able to get 2 of the pure and natural hand soaps for .28 each..they were marked down to $2.28..

also there were some lunchables marked down to .97 each and i used 2 of the $1 off coupons ( not sure when i got them, they have the sub pictured, but were actually for any lunchables lunch combos, i finally see what Collin means by go by the wording and not the picture!)..got 2 of those for free.

merona bags were still only 50% off, will try again next week.

it was a good trip, my cashier was actually friendly and informed me the cashiers had a meeting about coupons and if they beep for any reason, they have to match them to the product and/or get a manager approval….she also said be on the lookout for clearence items, as they will be marking more stuff down…im in south florida and our markdowns seem to take forever.

    • Aliviah

Thank you Danielle! I fished out the coupons I just clipped for the Lunchables and read it over, very happy to have that info. 😀

When I was at Target, the cashier wouldn’t take the $1.00 off of Tide for the sample because she said the coupon stated it was any “brand” size. I was really confused…because doesn’t that mean that the sample would be covered too, as it’s a Tide “brand” and it’d be considered a “brand” size? It beeped and she wouldn’t try to push it through and even after she asked another cashier who said yes, it’s okay, she argued with them and said it wasn’t considered a brand size. O.o

      • AM

“brand size”!!!??? i can just imagine looking at her thinking what the heck are you talking about lol

      • Courtney

Go back and try a different cashier. I used 2 the other day and she marked the coupon down to .97, used 3 today and she pushed them threw for 1.00.

  9. Tilla

i looked and looked for these at my target last nighta nd couldn’t find them..willing to pay full price minus coupon. i have 1 and i’m addicted. as an ocd germ freak i’m so thrilled that we don’t have to touch the soap pump with potty hands! i’m not a giant fan of the soap that is coming out of it, as i’m pretty hooked on soft soap milk and honey, for liquid and my homemade for bar soap. I’d love to be able to refill it with any soap! i’ll let you know if it works when i’m ready. With 6 of us washing hands constantly we’ve had it up a 8 days and it’s nearly empty.

    • Marci

You can find them at Family Dollar for $10 so $5 after the coupon.

    • Sue

      Wal-Mart has them for 9.97.

  10. Amy

I would love to hear if more people have tried to refill it w/o the intended soap refills.

    • Marci

I bought one the other day and I can’t seem to open the bottle to refill it. I haven’t tried really hard because I didn’t want to break it, but once the soap is gone I will. If it can’t be refilled I’m going to be pretty upset because it is so wasteful to keep buying the replacements to throw away when you can buy large containers of refill soap and those containers can be recycled. If it turns out that I can’t refill it, I might have to send a letter to Lysol about my disappointment.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Read one of the first comments ……she poked a hole in the top filled with soap and covered with clear tape…said it works

    • Wendy in Ohio

I have refilled one twice and another one once.
Here’s what I did, I held the lid end under hot tap water for a few seconds, then I pushed on the lid with a butter knife, first on the ends and then the middle, and it will pop off for easy refill. I don’t know how many times I can do this, but will keep trying until it doesn’t work! 🙂
I like my Soft soap refill better than the soap that comes in these dispensers.

    • judy

small screwdriver. just pull apart the cap from one of the sides and it will lift off.

  11. megan

Is the soap coming out of these regular or that super liquidy kind the foam pumps use?

I had a bad experience trying to refill the Swiffer wet jet. lol That did not work. 😛

    • Jenny

pop a hole in the bottom of the refill bottle (up when it’s in the mop) and put a wine cork in it to stop it! 🙂 that was my desperate way to keep using it.

    • kris

i did the same thing…i hate when they make products like this that cant be refilled..such a waste

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I would bet that Q’s will start coming out for the refills soon, thus cutting down on the refill costs!!! I hope anyhow!! I want to attempt refilling one with hand sanitizer instead of soap! Anyone tried that??

  13. Heather

I purchased one of these. I think it uses too much soap. Has anyone figured out a way to decrease the amount coming out. I’ve got 4 kids and we went through that little bottle in a little over a week. I didn’t think it was worth the money spent. 🙁

    • Sabine

I think the metered amount of soap is supposed to be the amount to adequately clean one’s hands. Actually, I found it to be less than what we usually use.

I do hope for refill coupons or a new refillable version with economy size refills.

I think they intentionally made the cap impossible/difficult to remove.

    • krista

That was the first thing my husband said, too- He thought it used WAAY too much soap. After he made the comment, I totally agreed! As far as I could tell, there was no way to change the amount that came out. And in regards to the amount being the right amount to clean our hands- they must have been measuring it with really big adult hands! LOL! It comletely fills up the palm of my two year old! 🙂

      • Alissa

I totally agree. I think I’m actually going to put mine in the yard sale this weekend because I just don’t like how much comes out at each time. We’re used to the foaming soap (Dial, I think?), so this was a huge jump in the amount of soap we’re used to!

Not worth it, in my opinion.

I’m guessing that the more soap that comes out each time, the quicker you’ll have to buy a refill (or two, or three…)

  14. Robin

I was just at Target today and they didn’t have it on clearance. It was $9.99. I live in the Philly area.

  15. Michelle

Was at our Target today in Tennessee and these were not marked down.

  16. kelly

I have one, and my daughter CRACKED ME UP! She said, “whats the point???” I said to keep your hands germ free so you dont touch the top, she said, “Umm, mom, but you touch the top to get soap and THEN WASH YOUR HANDS, DUH! so whatever you touched, you washed off….” LOL… never thought of it like that…

    • Jen_A

lol My friend said the same thing when I mentioned them a couple weeks ago when we were out shopping. I hadn’t thought of that either 😉

    • Rebecca Davidson

      haha thats my point exactly!

    • Melinda P

That’s exactly what I thought when I first saw the commercial! LOL! But if I can find this on clearance, I’ll buy it and try it. 🙂

  17. Maria

Just bought one today at my Target here in Atlanta. Unfortunately they were not on clearance:(

    • crystal

I am in Atlanta too what part are you? I am in Sandy Springs Roswell area sso good to see another ATL er on here

  18. Jennifer

I have a question about the clearance items in Target. How do I find them? Is there a special “clearance” area in Target? Or the clearance items were just put in their original places? I hardly can find any clearance items in my Target. I know these are YMMV things, but I want to make sure that those are YMMV, not because I couldn’t find them!!

    • Marci

I usually find clearanced items on the endcaps. For example, the personal care clearance items are on the endcaps closest to the wall near the pharmacy. You basically have to go looking for them since they won’t be on your normal route to pick up items.

    • Laura C

Most clearance is on the end caps, but when you walk along the main aisle you can also look down the rows and spot little red half-circle tags that stick out and read clearance!

  19. Debbie

I think these are great for the KITCHEN! It saves me when I have chicken or ground beef all over my hands.

That’s funny you say that Marci because scanning for clearance is my normal route! ; )

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I seen these marked down tonight but didn’t have my coupon with me! Ugh kick myself!

  21. Linda

mine were not marked down in california

    • Susan

Neither were the ones at my Target in San Diego, CA

    • Dana

Where in CA are you? Im near Fresno.

  22. Kathy

Went to Target this afternoon. (TEXAS) They were still 9.99, but after Target $1 off and $5 coupon, I feel $4 is still a great deal. I bought up a lot of the trials I had coupons for and some Johnson’s Soap buddies. Huggies was not on sale, so only bought one for grandson. I logged in nearly $150.00, but after all coupons………drum roll……………..$18.18! Very happy! My daugher went with me and I turned to her after the final total and told her………that’s how it’s done! Free stuff baby! I also shared quite a bit of it with her too! She loved that!

  23. Olivia Smith

    Hey Friends–

I worked at Target for 5 years and their clearance prices are not universal/nationwide at the same time. It all depends on the inventory that is in the backroom, and/or what products are selling quickly in that area. If there is low sales of an item and it is clogging up the backroom, the system will automatically have the price match team mark it down. However, it depends on the area of the store and what items are selling better. So, in summary, not all Targets will have the EXACT same items or even the same items on clearance. I hope this helps all of you Target shoppers– I am ONE too and I want to run to Target tomorrow to see about getting these on Clearance. I got 2 last time Collin posted a deal and my Mom took them, hehe! 🙂

    Olivia

    • Erica

      thanks that is very helpful

    • Nicole Z.

      Thank you! Good to know!

  24. sonya

for those looking for ottomans, i went and took four tops and scanned them. All of them had different prices. two were $19.99, the one that stated clearance was $13, and the last one was $9.99 and it didn’t have a clearance tag on it! so i got one for only $4.99(not bad for a ottoman thats worth $19.99)

  25. Erin K

They were not marked down around San Francisco area…. Checked Daly City.

  26. Amy

i bought a TON of the 3-28 smart sources for the mighty dog coupons and have well over 50 of the $5 lysol coupons they expire 5-25-10 if you are interested in some of them email me at Amydeterding@yahoo.com with lysol soap as the subject nd i will email you my address to send a self addressed stamped envolope…enjoy!

    • Missy

That’s really nice of you, Amy!

  27. Julie

I was in there yesterday and not on sale. Richmond, VA

They also did not have any of the cheap purchases or Merona socks. I was able to score a bunch of kids gummy vitamins that were marked down and I got the last two boxes of Bellybars on cleareance for $3.98 (so with my $4 Target Q, Free!)

  28. Laura C

I have been waiting and waiting with my ottoman coupons, the purple one has been $9.98 ever since Collin posted the deal, but I kept checking back and today — SCORE! When I checked back this morning they had gone down to $4.98 and I was able to get my 2 for free (and the coupons self-adjusted with no beeps!) There were still 3-4 more there. And yes, all the other colors are full price at $19.99 and they’ve put out even more colors on a separate end cap (including a sneakingly similar color to the clearance purple one). If I can find the time, I will sew a simple slipcover to slide over them to match my decor, until then they are a “punch” of color.

The Merona handbags were still $7, the soap dispensers were still full price at $9.99, and no great shakes on the socks. I’m in VA.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      where in VA?

  29. Anonymous

what aisle are these down? i looked in the cleaning area and in the hand soap aisles and could not find them. they weren’t on the clearance end cap either.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found mine with the handsoaps. Right under the softsoap.

  30. Eve

Still $9.99 (full price) in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

  31. Rosie

this is probably a VERY isolated occurance due to an individual store’s overstock. Since this is a new product I really would NOT expect this to go on widespread clearance.

  32. fran

$9.99 in Delran and Mt. Laurel, N.J.
I find this odd that there is a clearance on these. I got next week’s ad, and they are $9,99 on sale.

  33. Paul

This A great deal for hand soap dispenser and lysol is a great name product. I will wait for a good deal to come out and buy it.
