Target Deals 4/25-5/1

This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Sunday, April 25th, 2010 at 11:51 pm.

Numerous readers are having issues with being able to stack a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon together on one item. Well, the good news is that Target’s coupon policy clearly states that you can use both coupons together on one item. Their policy also states that if the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item, then they can adjust the coupon down. Plus, their coupon policy in now available to view online here and price matching policy here. Print them off and keep them with you every time you shop at Target. You also may want to read more about the coupon issues people have been encountering and what can be done about it here.

**Also, Target is now giving a $0.05 credit for each reusable bag you use when checking out! I’m excited about this. It’s just another great way we’ll be able to save at Target. I would call ahead to make sure your local Target is participating.

Woohoo, love the Target deals! :)

  • lisa says:

I was reading on another site that you can buy the oreo cremes to get the free pack. haven’t confirmed this, but am going to try 3 pkgs oreo cremes and 1 wheat thins since those are the coupons I have.

  • Christy says:

Heads up! The Dial Nutriskin Soap deal where you stacked the $1 target coup with the mfr. coupon (.35 off) is even better! We FINALLY got them at our stores up here and they are on price cut for $1.25! The best part is that the target Q didn’t automatically adjust so it was a moneymaker! Yippee!

    • anu1c says:

but the target Q for that has expired, unless they came out with another one. this is probably why yours didnt auto-adjust, they put it in manually.

  • Ashley Marie says:

In the Scrubbing Bubbles Deal Scenario #2 how is it that you can use a BOGO q and a normal q on the same item? You buy the Extend a Spray and use a $5 off q and use a buy the Sprayer get the refill for free q… how can you do that?

    • Heather W says:

The $5 coupon is for the Extend A Clean and the other coupon says buy the extend a clean and get the refill free so the coupon is for the refill. This is how you can use those coupons. HTH I used these coupons at Kroger for the awesome catalina deal they were having and I didn’t have any problems at all.

    • Virginia says:

What you get for free is the refill and the $5.00 off is for the starter spray. You can use 1 coupon per item.

  • Tiffany says:

Since you are buying 6 scrubbing bubbles items in scenario 2, can’t you use 2 $5 Target gift card coupons and get $10 back…making all 6 items only $1.97!

  • moosetracks says:

    Thank you Collin

  • Tina in VA says:

During my last visit to Target here in Front Royal, VA, the cashier informed me that from now on they will only give a 5 cent credit for Target reusable (cloth) bags – no plastic bags, or any other kind of bags. :(

    • Olivia Smith says:

Yes, that is how it is here- they only give the 5cent credit for using a reusable shopping bag– definitely a great deal though– 5 cents adds up. I worked at Target for 5 years and the cost to order a pallet of those bags was outrageous (the plastic ones that is).

  • Sunny says:

Huggies wipes price cut is over. It was just a week long sale.

So glad I held on to the Huggies coupons! Can’t wait to hit Target tomarrow and score some cheep diapers!

  • Tara says:

Are the vitamin water coupons just in a certain area? I didn’t get any this week or last week. I bought extra papers this week just for them and there weren’t any :(

  • D says:

Where did you see that the Gillette MVP razor is supposed to be $4.99? All of the Fusions at my store are $7.99.

    • TJ says:

mine were in an end cap display. one handle one blade. packaging looks nothing like the fusion packaging, it cardboard.

    • Laura says:

So are mine. Different prices for different regions.

      Twin Cities, MN

    • yvette says:

I saw the MVP razors in a different section–our target has its own “PRICE CUT” section. I found them there. (I first went to the regular razor aisle and didnt see any there but luckily I walked around and found them in that Price cut section).

  • Becky Ritchie says:

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on those Johnson Buddies coupons? The coupon from the 3/7RP was before I started couponing. I can’t find any on the clipping services webpages and the ones that I have in my inserts exclude the Buddies. I would be so grateful if anyone can tell me where I can find these. I would love for my son to be able to try these.

    • Erika says:

There were actually some in yesterday’s paper too. The ones that they talk about are not for specifically for the Buddies soap, but for $1 off 1 Johnson’s baby product. I think the coupon actually has pictures of the shampoo and body wash. Hope that helps!

  • Anna says:

Just a note on the huggies diaper deal. I have found specially marked boxes of huggies wipes that say $30 worth of target coupons inside. There is a booklet full of coupons for huggies diapers, wipes, baby vaseline, pull-ups, etc. For this week’s deal you can use the $2 off huggies diaper coupons that are inside this booklet with your $3 off mfr coupon! Lovin’ this deal!!

  • Brianne says:

FYI– If you subscribe to the Target txt coupons there is a $1 for ziploc and some others too, don’t forget about them to sweeten the deals!! :D

  • Ellin says:

HELP!!!!! I just got back from target where I wanted to do the 3 packs of huggies w a 5 dollar gc deal. I had two 3 dollar coupons, two 1.50 TARGET coupons, and one coupon FROM HUGGIES for a free pack of jumbo diapers. We get through it all, get my gc and she scanned the free one and it said “item not found” (I am suspecting bc maybe it “exceeded” the price because it was adjusted down?) so she handed it back to me and said I either had to use my FREE coupon OR get the 5 dollar gc. There was a ton of people behind me, my kids were all over each other so I just took the coupon from huggies back. I walked out to the car and called corporate – talked to a nice girl who was just like “well…..I don’t know why it wouldn’t scan, nothing we can do” – she told me that if I hadn’t gotten the gift card then she would have sent me one. So basically I SHOULD have used my free pack and just called and complained about not getting the GC – lesson learned. She said she’d “File” something with the store – not sure what that will do. The lady who rang me up said there was nothing she could do so I said “is there someone else I can talk to” and she said something to the affect of “I’m the HR(?) or something manager so there IS no one else to talk to.”

I FUMED the whole way home. The huggies coupon CLEARLY states is a manufac coupon. Half the way home I was ready to turn around the just go return them since the ONLY reason I was “stocking up” was because I would get three packs of dipers for only 11 bucks after all my coupons. BUt then I realized I wouldn’t get my other coupons BACK so I double screwed. There’s nothing else I can do is there???

    • Ruth says:

OMG that’s terrible! I am not experianced enough to know what to do – but that just sucks!

    • Hollie says:

I would try to go back with the receipt and tell them the free Huggies coupon wasn’t taken off your receipt. They are usually good about refunding you the correct amount. In my opinion, it is easier than returning everything and trying to get your coupons back. Hope you get it all sorted out!

      • Ellin says:

I”M a little lost…..I take the other coupon with me? and say it wasn’t taken off? what if that same mean lady is there?

    • r says:

I would like to say, DON’T get intimidated by the long line or your kids being in the way. I had something similar today, and I insisted on seeing a manager before I paid… b/c once you pay, Target is a pain to deal with. You have a right to take all the time you need, and those people are entitled to switch lines if they deem necessary.:) The lady behind me today was actually on the phone talking about me. She said, “Oh I’m trying to hurry, but I’m stuck in line behind this pregnant woman w/ coupons!!” I politely turned to her and said, “you are welcome to find another line if I’m holding you up.”:) DONT be bullied!!:)

  • Nikki says:

The Dannon 32 oz yogurt is on a “price break,” or whatever Target calls it, for just 52 cents. That’s CHEAP! Plus, there was a $1 off manufactures coupon from a paper sometime recently.

If someone could get a list of “price breaks” for Target, I’d be very interested in seeing them. The yogurt is usually a little over $2 at Target (but more than that at other stores). If all “price breaks” are like this one, I will be shopping at Target more often!

  • Heather Talley says:

There is a limit of 2 coupons you can print for the wheat thins…unless you can print on another printer, you cant get the 3 coupons needed for that specific deal.

  • Cindy B says:

Watch if you grab the pamper swaddlers with this deal(not even sure if it is in the deal now that I am thinking baout it, just thought it was pretty much all jumbo packs of huggies and pampers)..anyway they are $6.99 in my store, and don’t count for the $5 GC. Worked out ok becasue I had the $2 MFG coupon and a $2 target for off diapers and wipes, had a coupon for 75 cents off the wipes so I ended up paying about $4.50 for the diapers and the wipes. Not too bad. You can make the deal even sweeter if you have the baby mailer that they sent out a month or so ago. Not even sure how I eneded up on the mailing list, I am assuming because I had a baby registry with them with the last baby, which was almost 3 years ago. But I use what I can use, llike the diaper and wipe coupons and pass along the ones for formula.

  • Kimberly P. says:

Travel size ReNu price went up from $1.57 to $2.54 at my target in Athens, GA. Boo!!

  • Karri says:

Hi!! Love all of these Target deals but was wondering about the ‘regional Target coupons’ that are mentioned. I’ve scoured my Sunday newspaper looking for them but they must not have been released in my area (Denver). Can anyone confirm this, or am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks so much!

    • Janie says:

I am in Parker, which coupons were you looking for?

      • Karri says:

I’m looking for the breyer’s and Ben & jerry’s coupons. The usual info, like SS or RP, isn’t mentioned above–just 4/25 insert -Target Regional Coupon… Have looked in all of my inserts from 4/25 and haven’t found them. Was wondering if that’s where they’d be located–in the SS or RP inserts. Thanks for the help!

  • Janie says:

The only one I found was the Bounty Target coupon from Sunday. I have also found that sometimes if this site says look in Smart Saver for a coupon I find it in the Red Plum, not often but it has happened.

  • Sarah says:

I was at target [Idaho] today and was pretty bummed to find that purchasing the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner Starter Kit $12.99 no longer included a $5 giftcard. Oh well!

  • Shelly T. says:

Heads up to anyone that was able to get the Target Merona coupons for $3.00 off men’s clothing. My Target had men’s light weight sweaters on clearance for $4.98! I was able to get three for my husband for $1.98 each!!! Great deal. I had no luck finding any good deals on the Merona purses, they are all at least $10.00 or more still. Also, they did not have any Merona hosiery on clearance. :-(

  • Nona says:

anyone have issues with the OFF! deal??
I just tried to do it and the guy got an attitude with me was like, “Um no you cant do that” I said, “Target policy states that I can. The BOGO coupon gets rung up with one of the items and the $2off coupon gets rung up with the one I am not getting for free.” He then went off on me…
Im pregnant and very emotional to begin with, I didnt need him to make me feel like I was doing something horrible!… this was not a fun Target trip!
p.s. could not find Belly Bars in my Target :(

    • Alleyson says:

whenever I have trouble with cashiers at target. i just let them ring it up and ask for my coupons back and then go to the customer service line. They have always fixed things. Given me cash for coupons the cashier wouldn’t accept. It does help to be honest and say I am trying to use coupons the correct way heres what I thought I was going to get tell me where I went wrong.

  • I just printed the oreo coupon from facebook and got a sweet deal! They asked me to do a survey and are sending me a $20 cash card for my time! Has everyone gotten this or is it random?

Funny coupon controversy today… so I was buying the travel size items w/ coupons that exceeded the price, but didn’t exclude any size. Of course the girl at the register didn’t think she could take them, so she got a manager. The Manager came and told me if they beeped, he couldn’t take them. I proceeded to pull out the target coupon policy and showed him where it said they can price the coupon down to the price of the item. Get this…. he got MAD at me!!! lol He got mad b/c he DIDN’T know how to change the amount on the coupon! He just had the girl push the coupons through with overage.:) I got a total of $3 overage b/c he never learned how to use the register.:)

This has happened to me 3 or 4 times at Target. I don’t even try to buy things with a coupon that exceeds the value anymore. I called customer service the last time and wasted about a half hour of my time to buy one travel size bottle of lotion! Getting a free trial size bottle of lotion is just not worth the time let alone the frustration! Now if it was chocolate I might have to reconsider!

The Ice cream deal also works on Klondike bars and they make a great, cheap 5th item! They are on sale as well.

I just went and bought the off bug things, bought 2 for the buy one get one free and used the coupons and realized after I left the store that they had forgotten to give me the $7.99 off. I was already in the car with my twin boys, so when I got home I called and they said no problem, found the coupon and now I just have to go back and show them my receipt. It is a pain, but worth it and I am glad I called them back.
