Got it. Thank you. I did this offer the last time you posted it, but it never came:(

I submitted for this free sample July of 2009 and it came. I tried again December of 2009 and it didn’t come (even though I got the confirmation message). No harm in trying again!

I’d love some help on a coupon issue…hoping someone can help me out. I went to Wal-Mart to use a razor coupon. I had 3 coupons and 3 packages of razors. Cashier told me that I could only use one coupon per purchase (as it states on coupon). Well I always understood that to be One coupon per item purchased. Well she wouldn’t budge but said she’d let me get away with two…just this one time. Well I went to another Wal-Mart and same thing. Can someone clarify this “One coupon per purchase”.
    Thanks

      Hi Nancy–

I have had similar issues before simply because cashiers do not understand coupons. Collin has posted coupon information with answers to FAQS. However, in regards to the “one coupon per purchase” this means, 1 coupon for 1 item, meaning they cannot use 2 coupons on one item– you are doing nothing wrong. Next time, I would ask for the manager and I know in WM it can take some time and customers may get antsy but it will be well worth it. Anyone else have advice?

The cashier you had was mistaken. Some of them don’t understand the wording. You were right you can use 1 coupon per item purchased, you were purchasing 3 means you can use 3. She was mistaking 1 per purchase for 1 per transaction. Hope you have better luck next time.

      Found this for you:
Examples of common coupon terms and their general meanings:

      * “One coupon per purchase”: This means that shoppers can use one coupon per item, with the item considered to be the purchase. For example, if a shopper had 10 identical jars of spaghetti sauce and 10 grocery coupons for that spaghetti sauce, she could use all 10 coupons for her order, which is literally 10 purchases. She could not use 2 manufacturers coupons on the same item if she was only buying one jar of spaghetti sauce because that would be more than “one coupon per purchase.”

      * “One coupon per order”: This means that the shopper can only use that specific coupon once per order. If a shopper had more than one coupon, they could use one coupon per store visit, which would be one coupon per order.

      * “One coupon per household”: This is the most restrictive coupon term. Some coupons are so generous that stores will limit their liability by making sure shoppers do not make multiple trips to the store to use several coupons.

The most common coupon restriction is “one coupon per purchase,” and when store personnel interpret this term as “one coupon per order” it can create frustration for honest coupon users. Therefore, familiarize yourself with these three restrictions so that you can calmly and politely explain what they each mean. Then you will easily be able to use multiple coupons when buying multiple identical items to save the most.

However, if you still encounter a store that refuses to accept more than one identical coupon per order, I would suggest that you write a polite letter or email to the store’s corporate headquarters to express your concern about this policy. It may be changed!

        very informative! thanks!

        • Olivia Smith

You’re so welcome– I always read up on this information because most cashiers do not understand coupons!! 🙂

Just want to be sure you see my reply….

          • Nancy

            Posted below sorry….

You could always offer to have her to ring it up as separate transactions! 😉 Just kidding! Sometimes I get a little feisty!!!

My WalMart will only let me use of one at a time per item.

I signed up for this a while ago & never got it, but as of the cashiers no understand coupons, i went to a new target farther from my house, i was out that way anyway so i stopped in to do the starter kits on the off, and the guy cashier said i couldn’t use any coupons on the item i was getting free, he called another associate over & he said the same thing. They where getting mad at me, when clearly i have done this deal at walgreens & at the target closer to my house. I tried to explain the way it works, but the guy said we cant give you money for your coupon. I had a lady standing behind me with a few other ppl waiting in line, and honestly i wanted to smack him for saying that. Its like they get mad at you for using coupons, and i wasnt holding up the line they where! I wasn’t going to argue with them over a $2 coupon, so i just paid & left. But i will never ship their again. I didnt too much like the store anyway, it wasn’t to great. I think i will stick to my target in westland (canton) Michigan. I never had any bs over at that one. And never lets these morons get you discouraged from using your coupons, just use more! 😉

    • NICOLE

I also wanted to say i have been couponing for years! I even told them i have used every one of these coupons at target the other day. I wanted to say do you have a couon binder? DO you clip coupons throughout the week? Do you follow blogs? Do you spend time researching these deals? I wanted to throw my coupon binder at that guy. But i think i would rather protect my coupons then waste it on doing such a thing. It was more pleasureable thinking & acting that part out in my mind then it would be in real life. They make me so mad when they ruin my shopping day, and then i get in the car, and now i have to drive home all mad. It just totally makes you made when you know your 100% right & their 100% wrong, and they really try hard to make you feel bad for using coupons, they try to make you feel that you need to 2nd guess yourself on what your doing, but you know your right. Its frustrating. But as i have learned couponing is not as simple as it seems when the deal are posted on blogs you think wow how simple it looks to get the deal, but then u have to think about it actually working at the checkout. I wish coupon policy was mandatory to know at every store. I wish it was about of knowing it before you got the job. This coupon thing is a huge problem, so many ppl have problems, you would think the stores or corporate office would do something about it. It would make things better for evreyone. Sorry for the long rant.

  5. Mari

I signed up for it last time you posted it and I got it :). I wonder why some people didn’t? Maybe they have limited quantities and only fulfill up to a certain point?

  6. Nancy

Thank you SO much ladies! I appreciate it! I think I am going to write CS because a local Wal-mart told me I could also not use internet coupons…we all know THAT is not true!

Another quick question…anyone know of a link to the current magazine coupons out there???
    Thanks 🙂

    • Shelly G.

Hi Nicole… My Husband actually works as a manager for Wal-mart… their coupon policy is they do accept internet coupons unless they beep… if they beep or will not scan then they will not take them because they have a had lots of problems with people using fraudulent coupons i.e. scanning them and copying them… I would definitely write c operate or call them so that hopefully they can clear up these issues at your local store 🙂

Last Christmas, I went to Target to do the Caterpillar toy deal. I did not have the actual ToyRUs Ad. So I called the Target first to ask if I could bring the online Ad. I was given an OK for it. I then printed out only the page that had the toy. I brought to the customer service to get the price match. The cashier did it with an unhappy face. 4 hours later I went back to buy one more for “toy for tots”. I met the same cashier. She then had to do it for me because she just did it a few hours ago. But she said she would do it this time but next time I have print out an entire Ad which is 14 pages in order to get the deal. Have you heard anything like that?

    • Alisha

I’ve been told that too at Target. Their price match policy explains that you do need the whole ad. I know that Target rolled out their price match policy just last year so it would make sense that you rand into a little bit of trouble at the cashier since they were probably relatively new at it.

      • Shelly G.

I am guessing maybe they want the whole ad so it shows the date for when the ad was good for? Thats the only thing that would make since to me but such a waste of ink 🙁

  9. MoKeaton

I ordered this the last time, and never received it either. I’m hoping I will get it this time. Thanks!

    Thanks Collin! 😀

I’m putting together a big Potty Training basket for my older brother; he has two little boys, one’s turning 3 in June and the other 1 in June! lol! I already gave him my son’s potty stool because he had outgrown his use for it. I got it at thepottystool dot com. It’s fantastic! Well worth the money because it’s made from sturdy thick plastic that’s easy to clean. My son used it and I know both of his boys will and then their mommy will probably either yardsale it or pass it along to one of her siblings. 😀

I hope this comes! Would be a wonderful addition to the basket! 😀

  11. Andrea

I didn’t get this one last time either even though it said it would come in the mail….still waiting for it, lol. Hopefully this one comes! 🙂

Thanks! My daughter is almost 1, so I know I’ll be doing this soon!
