I recently received an email from a reader about an awesome deal they were able to score on Foster Grant sunglasses at Rite Aid! First, as you may know, there is a $5/1 Foster Grant Sunglasses Rite Aid Video Values coupon here. Plus, you can score a $2 Single Check Rebate #7 when you purchase one of any variety: Style Science or Foster Grant Sunglasses. This rebate has a limit of 2, so you can get back a total of $4 when 2 pairs of sunglasses are purchased.

Combine this coupon and rebate with a pair of the kids’ Foster Grant Sunglasses and you’ve got yourself a moneymaking deal! You see, Kids’ Foster Grant sunglasses are priced at just $5.99, so after the $5 coupon and $2 rebate, you’ll score FREE sunglasses and even make a $1. Even sweeter, you may be able to find these on clearance for $1.49 (they may not be marked). If you can find them at this price, then you’ll really turn this into a moneymaker!

I found some kids Foster Grant sunglasses on clearance for $1.49 at my local Rite Aid store, but I didn’t use the $5 coupon on those. One exciting find was women & men’s Foster Grant sunglasses in the clearance area for $5.49, so 49 cents after $5 video values coupon. I bought 5 Adult sunglasses @ $5.49 each & 2 Children’s sunglasses @ $1.49 each, used 5- $5 off Foster Grant VV cpn & $5/$20 VV cpn….grand total including tax was $1.96 & I should get a $4.00 rebate, so $2.04 profit for 7 pairs of sunglasses!!!! I was pretty excited! I love FREE!!!!

My RA doesn’t let me use multiple VV Q for an item 🙁

      • Jennie

I live in Michigan and there are about 5 Rite Aid stores within 20 minutes from me. I have never had an issue at any of these stores using multiple Video Values coupons for multiple items. As long as I had 5 items and used 5 coupons none of the cashiers batted an eye. In fact most are pretty coupon friendly and the manager at the store where I made my sunglasses purchase commented on what an awesome deal I was getting. He was really impressed. I’m not always this lucky with friendly cashiers at other stores though, so I am thankful for the hassle free shopping trips when they do happen.

I too live in MI and was using more than one VV coupon (1 per item like you said) BUT last week the cashier asked ‘someone’, maybe a manager and said I could only use one of the same VV coupon per order. EX: I bought 3 Jumbo Huggies diapers and used three man. coupons and 3 V V coupons (one per diaper). They said I could use all my man. coupons but only ONE of the VV coupons since they were all for huggies. Now, maybe if I had used the V V on the diapers in different trips and one diaper pack per total order…???? Not sure. I DO love Rite Aid so I don’t want to mess it up and then the program ends or something…..

how do you get more than one Video Values coupon for the same item? Do you have more than one account? I have one username and I watch all the videos and it lets me print 1x per coupon. How did you get 5 of the Foster Grant vv coupons?

      • Jennie

When I hit the print button on the summary of my Video Values coupons I selected to print my printer options window comes up and asks how many copies I want to print. I just select how many I want to print the first time, because once you print the coupons they will disappear off your list of available Video Values coupons. I’m not sure if most people have a printer prompt on their computer that allows them to change the number of copies to print or not. Also if that doesn’t work there are other websites that have video values coupons available in pdf form to print 6 coupons on each page. Not sure if I should post the website on here…

Jennie, I would not post the website if I were you! Bargain hunters WILL and DO find a way to true bargain hunting…that means digging and searching! 🙂

honestly we are all here to save money so why not help one another? if i had any tips i’d make sure to help my fellow savers- geez lets all be nice

          • Erin

I think the point she’s making is that it’s not ethical. It’s easy enough to watch the video and print out your own coupons.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they put more stringent controls on the Ad Perks program. Now that the Wellness cards are required to get the sale prices, they can easily track how many and what kind of coupons people are using.

Sunglasses $17.99 and up are all $10 off this week which makes them $7.99 – use the $5 video values for Foster Grant or Style Science, then get a $ 2 rebate and you pay .99 for some nice sunglasses!

  3. margaret in seattle

wow! i am so excited. summer is just around the corner and my boys are so not liking the sunlight even in seattle.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do you have to install a program to print the coupons? My husband prints things out for us at work (with permission from his boss) but isn’t allowed to install any programs.

  5. Samantha

NOT trying to be coupon police (!), but FYI, the video values coupons do state 1 per customer.

  6. Brandi

If I need more than 1 VV coupon, I ask family or friends that won’t be using theirs to let me have them. I do have an account for me and my husband so I legitimately have access to 2 coupons all the time. Samantha is right though, you’re supposed to only print one per person.

    • Samantha

My husband and I each have an account, too and my mom and I coordinate from time to time if she wants more than 1 of something or I want more than 2. It just says 1 per person, not household, so that’s good!

  7. jenny

I watched the silly video and now it tells me no more video values available for this item

    • Kiesha

Right, so now the coupon should be available to print under your “rewards.” 🙂

Kids’s sunglasses were marked $7.99 at my Rite Aid.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi, I found the sunglasses in their regular section where the kids toys are, not in the clearance section. None of them were marked, but I price checked quite a few and they were all ringing up $1.49.

  9. Tenessa

mine were not on clearance and they were 6.99 not 5.99, I snagged the only pair they had left and I had to search high and low for those. So after scr I will pay .49 cents including tax. But that is still a great deal for sunglasses and we are heading to the beach this summer so they were needed! If only I could have found a pair of boy ones for my son! I may make my mom search her rite aid!

    • Meredith

Same here – 6.99/pair for kids Foster Grants. I’m in Northern CO. I was thinking for some reason (maybe the Momnesia had already set in for the day) that it was only the FG’s that this deal would work with, but all I could find was a medium-sized hanging display (like an endcap, but on the side) of kids sunglasses made by Style Science. I asked a gal and she told me that towards the back of the store (in a really odd aisle) there was a small hanging display with more kids sunglasses. This was where I found the FG’s. There weren’t many left, and the ones I liked the best turned out not to be on clearance (I didn’t price check the others though). **Just make sure no matter what pair you get they have UVA & UVB protection, because not all kids sunglasses have that and it’s really important that they have it! Good luck to all with the bargain hunting!! 😀

OK, I have a quick question. If I find glasses for $1.49 and use the 5.00 coupon, do they apply the overage to other items? OR, do they adjust the coupon to 1.49? Thanks for the help!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did get the overage of $3.51, but of course YMMV as usual!

  11. Julene

I don’t think you are suppose to print multiple coupons from watching the videos. Mine print out with my name on them, and I think they could easily find you if they felt you were abusing the system. They do state one per customer. I guess YMMV, but let’s play fair.

Interesting debate here…the same comments regarding printing multiple video coupons….if you can and feel right about it, do it. It’s just like clearing the shelves for a great RR deal at Walgreens. Those deals are also only to be done one per person and everyone does multiple transactions. In my area there are probably only a hand full of couponers..we are all allowed to use as many video coupons as we have items for. It really just depends on if your store allows it or not.

  13. Sommer

Got 2 pairs of FG sunglasses today for my girls. They were 6.99 each used 1 videos value coupons and had some other items with my purchase so I was also able to use a $5 off of $25 =) so after the two $2 SCR they will average around 99 cents each – not bad + I have 2 happy girls.

  14. Samantha

Kid’s glasses were 7.99 in North MS, too. I checked the kid’s section and didn’t see any. I did get a pair of the 19.99 adult glasses ( they didn’t have any for 17.99, either) for 2.99 after the $2 SCR, $5 VV coupon and $10 off sale price so I was happy! Look out, Racquel Welch ( or however you spell it!) LOL

  15. Kelly

They were $6.99 at the Rite Aids in my area so after tax and rebate, I would’ve spent 50 cents on them. Not too bad. Would’ve preferred to make money off of them but oh well.

  16. jenny

What a great deal even though the kid sunglasses were hard to find in the store.

  17. Stephany

I had to check 2 Rite Aid’s to find sunglasses that would fit my 8-year old…the kid’s ones were too tight. AND, get this, all sunglasses over $19.99 were $10 off! Plus the $5 RAvv Q, plus the $2 scr – I paid $2.99 for adult sunglasses for her! Yahoo! There were very few of the FG kid’s ones at $7.99.

  18. katie

anyone know how long this deal is valid for?

    THanks

  19. Carrie

I went to Rite Aid today. I saved 19.21. And didn’t spend one dime!!!. She had to adjust down so not to pay me!. She wouldn’t let me use the $5.00 coupon on the kids sunglasses tho! But a great trip! Thanks! 🙂
