"Follow You Monday" Freezer Cooking!

This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Monday, May 10th, 2010 at 4:07 pm.

To go along with the YOU in Bloom theme for the week, Candid Kitchen, I thought I’d go ahead and post a video related to cooking. As you know, I’m not the best cook… so instead of me doing the cooking, I’ll be featuring an awesome reader by the name of Rachel. She shows us how to save money by freezer cooking!

Enjoy!

  • Try Dream Dinners and I hope you have a wonderful Dream Dinners experience. It is the ultimate buy in bulk and save way to have a home cooked dinner and does cost less than buying the same ingredients at a grocery store. It is also very eco friendly, so much less packaging when you buy in bulk. We actually have children on our tasting panels; it is amazing to see what kids will really eat. We put kids in a box when we only feed them “white foods”. Don’t miss our new Dream Rewards loyalty program. You can get more dinner ideas on my blog Take care. http://stephanieallen.wordpress.com/

I do 20 freezer meals one day a month, and only cook on the weekends. My favorite favorite resource is http://onceamonthmom.com/ Definitely check it out. Amazing, this woman goes as far as to put together a meal plan (breakfast, lunch and dinner), puts together the entire shopping list, as well as detailed instructions for the night before and the day of. Then she also has printable pre-made labels (name of recipe and cooking directions) for the dishes you’ve prepared and you can just print them out.

Check out http://www.food.com for their once-a-month cooking plans. There are some very explicit plans to complete your cooking/shopping for an entire month, and tons and great recipes!
