Buy Sara Lee Products = FREE Toy Story Goodies!

This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010 at 8:34 pm.

Sara Lee has a fun rebate offer available. Basically you’ll just need to collect 3 to 5 UPCs from Sara Lee Soft & Smooth products and you’ll be able to score some FREE Toy Story goodies! You won’t even have to pay shipping. Once you’ve purchased 3 to 5 packages of Sara Lee Soft & Smooth items, go here, click on the “Mail-In Offer” tab and then print off and mail in the form with your UPCs. That’s it.

Here’s what you can get:

3 UPCs
A Toy Story plate

4 UPCs

A Toy Story Plate & Tumbler set

5 UPCs

A Toy Story Light-Up Lunchbox

Sara Lee Soft & Smooth bread usually goes on sale for around $1.49 per loaf… so even without coupons you can still score a pretty sweet deal. If you buy 5 loaves of bread for $1.49 each, your total will be only $7.45 for 5 loaves of bread + a Toy Story Light-Up Lunch Box!! Not bad. You can also head on over here and print a $0.75/1 Sara Lee Soft & Smooth Plus DHA Omega-3 bread that will sweeten this rebate further.

I LOVE doing rebates that I can get my kiddos involved in! Having them help me find the best deal on Sara Lee Soft & Smooth products, clip the UPCs and seal the envelopes shows them that there is work involved, but also a reward in return. Lots of times I don’t think my kiddos have a clue what I’m doing, so being able to have them participate makes it fun and helps them to understand. My 5 year old always asks, “Will you be doing coupons today?” ;)

(Thanks, Alli!)

I bought Sara Lee hot dog buns with the rebate offer on the package at Costco the other night-two eight packs were $1.84!!! Great deal on the hot dog buns but add in the free plates & cups it makes it even sweeter.

  • Melissa says:

Do the packages have to be specially marked or will any Sara lee soft and smooth work?

  • Michelle M says:

I noticed this rebate two weeks ago. I’ve been buying Sara Lee Soft & Smooth for hamburger buns, hot dog buns, and bread each week. I want to get as many FREE goodies as I can!

Please note: Your products HAVE to be specially marked as part of the Toy Story 3 promotion. Not only does the rebate form say to buy specially marked products, but the UPCs are different (I compared a regular Soft & Smooth to a TS3 Soft & Smooth- not the same numbers).

    • CouponClary says:

I have two loaves of the same kind of Soft & Smooth bread that I got from the BOGO sale at Publix, one is “specially marked” and the other is not, but they both have the same exact UPC numbers. The only difference in my two loaves is the specially marked loaf says “TS3 Proof of Purchase Seal” near (but not in!) the UPC box…so when you cut out the UPC, it wouldn’t be a part of the box anyways and my UPCs would then be the exact same!

      • Michelle M says:

Wow! I compared two loaves of the SAME kind of bread, but they had different codes. I guess you’re luckier than I am!

  • Jessica says:

We have a Sara Lee outlet here. Buns are .75 and bread is .99. Last week the really good wide pan were .50!

  • Amber says:

Wow! I get this bread free through my WIC so thats an especially awesome freebie!!

  • Michelle M says:

The offer expires August 1, 2010, and the order form must be received by August 16, 2010.
You can send in as many UPCs with one form as you want, ordering as many free products as you’d like.
You do NOT have to save receipts- yippee!

  • Michelle M says:

    The order forms says:
“purchase any specially-marked packages of Sara Lee Soft & Smooth bakery products”
…”Tape the required TS3 Proof-of-Purchase UPCs to the bottom section of this form.”

So YES you have to buy the packages with Toy Story 3 on them. Like I mentioned above, the UPC numbers are different.

  • Chantelle L. says:

We bought some at the .99 cent store!! Yippee.

  • Shelley says:

It is only the packages that are specially marked. I am on WIC too and that size loaf of bread does not have the Toy Story stuff on it. And the Sara Lee Soft & Smooth Plus DHA Omega-3 does not either.

  • Kara H. says:

Some of these packages had $1 off pullies for 1# of Sara Lee lunch meat as well…. Makes this deal even better…..

  • Erin M. says:

There is a very similar special on Kellogg’s specially marked cereal! My 4-year-old is hyped and so is his Mommy!! :)

  • Jessica says:

Awesome! I have 2 of these loaves of bread in the pantry right now! They were only $1.25 (or close to that) last week at Fred Meyer! I have been buying this bread anways – now to remember to cut the UPC codes! :)

  • Leah says:

I get the sarah lee wheat bread on wic and it also has the toy story 3 on it

  • Stephanie W says:

We have a Heiner’s (now a Sara Lee brand) outlet here, and a 5 loaf bag of bread is only $2.99. So this is an awesome deal for me!

  • Brandy says:

I was wondering when you were going to post about this. Sara Lee was BOGO at Publix last week and there were tear pad coupons and a big display with the TS3 characters stacks of specially marked bread. It ended up being 75 cents a loaf. I bought as many as I could over the course of the week so I could get cheap bread for the freezer but also to get these free goodies.

  • MerriLeigh says:

UUgggh…..why don’t they have these offers for healthy foods. All the Sara Lee products are loaded with HIGH FRUCTOS CORN SYRUP….bummer :(

    • Kim M. says:

I know, there are so many other brands that have taken it out of their bread, why can’t they?!

    • April says:

I agree, we buy almost all organic for this reason. I feel like we miss out on a lot of these offers. This is my tip. Look for someone selling the UPC’s on ebay. There is someone selling 15 UPC’s for $2.43 with shipping. They only have 7 offers left.
Also when I printed out the mail in form my computer cut off the mail in address. If your computer cuts it off the address is
Soft & Smooth Mealtime Fun Offer
      1407 Airport Road
      Suite 3218
      Monroe, NC 28110

      • Megan says:

Just bought mine! I make my own bread here at home so buying bread is a waste! I did however buy 2 loaves last night since it was super cheap with double coupons. I will freeze it and save it for camping to use in our pie irons.

      • Ann Dee says:

Oh thank you so much. Just bought 2 sets. Need some neutral/boy plates in my house. Ha, ha. Easier for me to do it this way then trying to drag my kids on several shopping trips, cut/save UPCs, etc. Awesome deal. Thanks everyone for your help.

  • mary says:

Ha ha…my 5 yr old always asks “Coupons agaiiiiin, Mommy?” It’s hard to find a balance in this coupon world with kids, but so important and a great idea to get them involved somehow and see the savings!

  • stephanie willcox says:

I home teach and we use coupons in our Math – it’s GREAT real world math! And my nine year old and I were role playing with cashier and shopper. He plays cashier and I give him the Math senario, what it costs, what coupons I have – he has to give me the total and he starts, “Ok, you sassy coupon lady!…”

    • Dianne says:

I loved that sassy coupon lady comment by your son! I can see how it would be a great teaching tool. I know it takes brain power to figure out percentages off, rebates, double coupons, taxes, etc. Kudos on teaching in such a practical yet creative way!

    • Coupon Princess says:

Hi Stephanie, I homeschool too so we use Super market (coupon) shopping for math, it’s perfect for fifth grade :) Now my 11yr son always asks… “Ok Mom what coupons give you overage so I can buy more Yu Gi Oh cards”??? And mom says “ok lets work out some scenarios and you do the math”!!! Love it!

      • Ann Dee says:

Oh that is so funny about the Yu Gi Oh cards, but such a great idea to get the kids interested in the math part of couponing. AWESOME!!! Thanks for sharing that idea.

  • Amy H. says:

OMG that lunchbox is too cute. I have to see if my local stores carry Sara Lee buns/bread…I have never bought that brand in those items….

  • Holly says:

I was at target tonight and they had a tear pad for $1 off Sara Lee buns when you buy Ball Park franks with summer coming these will be on sale.

  • Lolo says:

Watch Wags for clearance bread at $.99. That is when I buy mine usually and they usually have a tear pad for $1 off milk or eggs when you buy sara lee bread so I get an even better deal. :)

  • Allison says:

so in reading the instructions it says until supplies last…so do you plan on sending the rebate in more than once (Once for each item) or wait all at once. it also only has room for 3 upcs so i assume you just keep taping them on the front? (sorry if those are duh questions!)

    • Ann Dee says:

I think I’m going to try to do it all at once since they let you choose a quantity for each item. Also there are those that will order the 5 UPCs lunchbox and there are only 3 spots. Plus I don’t want to use more than one postage stamp. Might tape them all to the back of the order form….

    • Erin O. says:

I ended up sending in 9 UPCs and I just taped them in groups of 3s onto the spots provided on the form. Not sure if that was how I was supposed to do it or not but thats what I did. lol. Hope that helps.

  • Julie says:

They have this bread on sale at Frys(kroger) for $.99 starting Wednesday(technically today…)

  • amanda says:

I already mailed mine off about a week ago for my daughter. She can’t wait to get her toy story plate.

  • Erin O. says:

I just mailed off my offer form today. I ended up scoring Sara Lee hotdog/hamburger buns at Target for $1.50 and bread for $1.89. I usually have bread in my frezzer anyway so I just transferred everything into freezer bags (which I usually do anyway) and went ahead can cut all the UPCs and mailed them off. I’m super excited. My little boys are going to love their lunch box and plate with cup. :)

  • Andrea Hoogendoorn says:

Kellog’s cereal is promoting the same thing…I know on a box of Apple Jacks and a box of something else were UPC’s to collect for Toy Story stuff. FYI

  • Danielel says:

I’m was so stoked. My local bread store has the Sara Lee bread on sale right now for 2 for a $1. I have stocked up! My little nephews are going to be so excited!

  • kim says:

I have a Sara Lee outlet by me that I was able to get these 5/$3.75!

  • Diana says:

I can’t seem to open the disney website to download file anyway can I just mail in the offer on a letter head paper and tape the upc on paper. Does anyone know the address

  • Lindsay says:

So I can send in 12 UPCs & get all of the gifts? I like the lunchbox would be great to send preschool lunch in. But also love the plates set

  • Lorissa says:

Can someone send me the order form through my email for some reason I can not get the form to appear when i go to the website please send to stewlrs@aol.com thnak you very much

  • Brittney says:

I just sent my order form off with the 5 UPC’s, but then I went and looked at the website and it says that they are “Out of Stock!” Oh no, so now that I went through all this work to get the adorable lunchbox for my son, I won’t get one? I’m really upset!

  • Noel says:

I know I have been collecting them and was going to mail them off today and they are out of stock. So irritated and disappointed :(

  • Piper says:

I know.. I am so angry.
I usually don’t buy Sara Lee…. the movie hasn’t even been out a month & there out of promotional material. Ahhhhgh
At least my son is old enough to understand…. but still.
I sent Sara Lee an e-mail letting them know how crazy this was & that I won’t be buying their product anymore.
They probably don’t care, but it made me feel better!!!

  • Heidi says:

So maddening! Why would they print on their bread SPECIALLY MARKED UPC’s for Toy Story 3 if they dont have enough product! Great way to upset buyers. I will not buy their bread anymore. What a huge wast of 44cents and my time! They could of at least mailed a coupon or something as a SORRY.

  • kim downham says:

i sent the form out on july 1st and got it back last night.
unopened and it is stamp “send back to sender stock depleted

hmmm not very happy right now
wish i had never told my son about the lunchbox

well i guess to walmart to get him one this morning

  • Paulette says:

My daughter is starting kindergarten in the fall and she is devastated.I wish I never did this. What a waste of .44 cents. We won’t be buying their products anymore either.

  • Brigitte says:

I just got my order back also. I am very upset that they did not even have enough courtesy to send a letter apologizing for running out of stock. We all spent money on their products and postage. And they sent our order forms back return to sender so they would not have to spend money on return postage. I am so disgusted I will no longer buy Sara Lee products and I will spread the word to all my friends.

  • Jennifer says:

I am equally upset and disgusted with this Toy Story plate and lunchbox deal from Disney and Sara Lee. On the bags of the bread product it tells you the website to go to for the address to mail in your specially marked UPC’s. You go to the Disney website the package directs you to, and all it has is a logo over where you could click saying “Out of Stock..”. There is nothing saying that you will be issued a rain-check or anything, not even a sorry.

I have been specifically buying Sara Lee for this offer, my kids actually like the product, so I figured I would keep buying it regardless of the offer, but after this, I feel like this was a huge “bait and switch”. To continue to buy Sara Lee products would make me mad thinking that I purposely spent money on the product, had my family do the same, even scolding my husband for throwing away a bag, to have nothing to show for it.
As a kid, my grandmother would always mail away for stuff for us like this, she and we would get such a kick out of it, so I was wanting to continue this “tradition”, but alas, I will have to give such patronage to another product…..THANKS FOR THE DOWNNER

  • Corina says:

I just received my Toy Story plate and cup! I mailed it off back in April. Did not make it back for his b day, but I will wedge it in his stocking.
