The oscar mayer coupon that I got was 1 freemayer hot dog

  2. melissa

Comet Cleanser 14 oz. 2/$1 with in-ad coupon
Use 2 $0.35/1 coupons from the 4/11 RP
    Final Cost $0.15 each!

Is there another coupon? B/C the one I have is for the spray or Soft Cleanser, not the abrasive type thats in the ad.

    • emily

I was wondering the same thing. Not sure if this coupon would work.

    • Sally

The coupon works great, I even check the coupon code and the product bar code, they are the same. I got 2 Noxzema bikini 3 pks razors $2.99 BOGO (use 2 $2 coupon), hot dog bun $0.99, and 1 Comet (use 1 $0.35 coupon and in-ad coupon). My total is $0.13, tax $-0.06=$0.07.

  3. Rochelle

Does Walgreens accept a $ off coupon on the free item in a BOGO sale?

    • Randi

I have used a coupon on the free item and it has gone through without beeps. the free item I got rang up with the full price and then deducted later on the receipt the full price. so, it depends on how the register rings up the bogo…

  4. Erin

I have already used the try me rebate on the organix shampoo. Can I do it again?

    • Heidi

I just got an email regarding my Organix shampoo rebate, which I had purchased at Walgreens. They denied it saying it wasn’t an “authorized retailer.” I’m going to call them. Did this happen to anyone else?

      • Jennifer

If they are not an authorized dealer, then why is Walgreens on their website as one? lol

      • Jill

I got my rebate back, and I purchased at Walgreens. Strange that happened to you! I would definitely call them.

  5. Brody Sheard

how do i get a list what RR and SS and all those mean? i’m a beginner here and well i am confused how to get these awesome deals. 🙂

    • Elizabeth

I don’t think Collin has a list of what the abreviations mean. If I’m wrong please let me know.

However, SS=SmartSource (a coupon insert usually found in your Sunday paper) RP=RedPlum (another coupon insert also found in your Sunday paper). RR=Register Reward (when you buy something at Walgreens for let’s say $2.99 sometimes a RR will print after the transaction is over for a certain $ amount off of your next purchase), ECB=
Extra Care Bucks (for items at CVS, similar to RR’s)

Check Collins store guides for both CVS and Walgreens for more info on the RR’s and ECB’s

    • Ashley Marie

On the main Hiptosave Page at the Bottom Collin has Couponing 101 with lots of helpful information including jargon and abbr.

  6. Brody Sheard

    thanks so much!

  7. Michelle

FYI – Just in case the coke deal is regional – Walmart has 24 pack of coke for $5, which would make 12 of them $2.50 and you wouldn’t have to worry about RR or it being regional and you can buy as many 24 pack cans as you like for the $5. Hope this helps some that the Walgreens deal might not be working for in your area.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Walmart here in Louisville KY had the 24 pack pepsi/coke products for 3.88!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Hollie

The Chex mix coupon says I’ve already printed yet I didn’t print anything. Does anybody know where I can get another one???

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Same for me and I know I haven’t used it yet either. Must be out of prints.
I can’t find a printable one. I was looking forward to cheap chex mix!

      • Ruthie

Same thing happened to me, ugh:/

    • Lynn @ Savings Soiree

Chex Mix MQ Coupon – available on target.com (save $0.50 off 4.5 oz or larger)!

  9. Jennifer

I would just like to say how I love that Collin put exclamation points behind prices that are not really even good deals….lol

    • B

I love that too!! Makes me excited for something thats sometimes a not so great price. hahaa.

  10. Romy

hi there – wanted to let you know there’s a $1 off 5 Hunts tomato sauce coupon from the ConAgra Rediscover Your Balance Home Mailer that makes 5 cans of tomato sauce 25 cents 🙂

  11. Lisa B

Romy, Thanks for the comment…I just pulled out my $1 coupon…add sauce to the list!

  12. Rita

Kroger has Flips for $1.50 also, but w/ double .50 coup – only .50 a bag!

    • Heather W

      Thanks so much!!

    • Tobi

      Yay!!!! Thanks for posting this!

  13. ashley

The Angle Soft 12 double rolls at my Wal-mart are on roll back for 4.00. Use the .50 coupon and get it for 3.50. Better deal than the Walgreens one. Just wanted to let everyone know.

  14. uchinan

    Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-A-Clean 25 oz. $7.99 = $2 RR
Use the $5/1 coupon found here or from the 4/11 SS
    Final Cost $0.99!

Hello all… I was wondering if I would be able to use the Buy one Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-A-Clean Starter Kit get free refill coupon in addition to the deal above to score the Starter kit and refill for $0.99? Thanks 🙂

    • KRR

Yes. It worked for me today, but I got the last refill. Our Walgreens is the only one within a 50 mile radius, so it gets crazy.

  15. Hollie

It’s 3am and I just got back from Walgreens! LOL I walked in with $9 worth of RR and walked out with $5 RR. I got contact solution, muscle rub, little swimmers, 2 cans of tomato sauce, 4 packs of Keebler cookies, Scrubbing bubbles shower cleaner, a 2 pack of head bands, and 2 packs of hot dogs. I spent less than $5 of my own money but got alot of stuff for it! I was going to get the Huggies diapers but after figuring up I decided not to. Dillons has a deal right now that if you buy $15 worth of huggies products you get $3 off your total. If you buy 6 packs of wipes and use the $2 off 2 packs you can get them for $6. I bought 4 boxes of wipes and a pack of diapers for $9. Not bad since it can be wipes or diapers or both.

    • Alexis

I’m really curious as to how this math works out since I always have trouble with the RR (making sure to spend enough money to get the RR to print, etc.) Did you do this in multiple transactions? Please share your strategy!

      • Hollie

Yes I did it in 3 different transactions. Let me try and remember what I bought on each ticket. I really should have made a list of what I wanted and sat down to do the math because I think the cashier was annoyed with me! LOL I didn’t even have all the coupons that Collin posted so I just had to work with what I had.
        1st-
        Contact solution
        Goody headbands
        Used 2 rr worth $4.50 each. Paid 2.13. Got a $8rr & $3rr.
        2nd-
        2 packs of Hot dogs $1 0ff 2 coupon
4 packs of cookies $1 Off 2 coupon
Soft scrub shower cleaner $5 coupon
        Used the $8rr & $3rr. Paid $3.14. Got a $5rr.
        3rd-
Huggies little swimmers $2 walgreens coupon + $1.50 coupon
        Muscle rub
2 cans of tomato sauce (filler item so the coupons will work out)
        Used a $5rr & $2rr. Paid $2.98. Got $5rr.

Now that I look at the math I guess I paid a little over $8 for everything but I still ended up with a $5rr to use later.

I went back today and got another contact solution for $8 then used the $8rr for another transaction that had a Raid Bug sprayer-$2 Walgreens coupon + $3 coupon that was in today’s paper. I had to buy some more items with it to make up the difference but that was fine since I found a Camp Rock storage bin on clearance from $20 to $4.99. It will make a great birthday gift for my 10 year old step daughter.

I hope this helps Alexis!!! Let me know if I can be of anymore help!!

        • Alexis

Thanks for replying with all of the details! Does Walgreens always print out a RR even if you don’t pay as much at the RR is? Meaning…you said you paid like $3 and it printed out a $5 RR… my Wags told me one time that the RR won’t print out a reward if you don’t pay at least that amount in cash, know what I mean? That caveat is what is making me not want to shop there anymore since I end up spending more than I need to just to get rid of my RR…

The Register Reward will stay the same price. Say u buy something that states it gives a $4 rr back. but with coupons on what u buy u only pay . 13 cents. U will still get the $4 rr.
Usually when I purchase Items to get RR. I pay with RRs. so I may not spend any out of pocket. but I still get the RR for what it states.

          • KellyJ

I think though that u cant use one RR to use on the same promo RR… Meaning if u get rrs with suave deodorant. U cant buy another suave deodorant with that rr and get another. But I am not positive.

Although if your balance is 0, it may not print. That’s why a lot of people get fillers. You also have be careful with offers that are not rolling, and won’t generate a RR when you use a RR from a product made by that company.

I just got back from Walgreens – I bought the Complete Contact Solution and I used the printable coupon from the website, BUT it doesn’t look like a valid coupon and it beeped when he tried to ring it up. The manager pushed it through, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

    • Lisa

The coupon is for Canada. It shouldn’t be used here. The remit address is also for Canada.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The coupon is actually for a slightly larger size than what they are selling for the RR. I ran into this same problem. But luckily, there was a peelie on my box…so I made a little bit of money anyway.

Hi- I was at Wags this morning – they would not take the Complete coupon – it says 360ml on it – which is why it beeped – and the 12 oz is only 335 ml or something like that.

    • Kelly O'Donnell

Same problem here. I still purchased it even without the coupon because it was still “free” after the RR’s. However, the coupon given on the link does not work because the sizes are wrong. They wouldn’t push it through at my store because it clearly states 360ML or larger. My Walgreens didn’t even carry that size. The one that was on RR is just shy at like 355ML.

    • Mandy

if you are near a safeway/vons/etc their coupon books this month have a $2 off complete 12 oz. size-and these books are all over the store. Pick up a couple, because the coupon doesnt expire for awhile. It also has a $2 off Coppertone that doesnt expire until Dec!!!!

  18. Kelly

I also printed that coupon and I knew right away it wouldn’t scan from the looks of it. It doesn’t even have a scannable barcode! Luckily I had one coupon from the paper, so I used that instead because I knew they would have a problem with it.

    • Lisa

It’s Canadian. Some people have used it (from last deal on this), but it was forced through. Don’t think they would get reimbursed for it.

      • Mandy

thanks lisa. I thought it looked fishy and was glad when I found other coupons to use and trashed that one. I always like the heads up on the bad deal because we want to keep it legit!

  19. Traci

Did anyone else’s ad have a $20.00 Coors Light mail in rebate on the front page? I was wandering if you have to get the form in the store or is it online somewhere. Thanks for the help!

  20. Sarah

I can’t get the chex mix coupon either–says I already printed it and I haven’t.

  21. Jaala Belcastro

Can anyone tell me if the BOGO on dixie paper plates with the $.50 coupon this week is a good deal???

  22. Joan Southwick

Does anyone have a GOOD Coupon friendly Walgreen’s in Utah? most of the stores nearby either won’t stock the ad items or they only bring in one,, and they are not thrillled when we show up with coupons…. just wonder if anyone out there knows of good stores,,
    thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t think any of the Walgreen shoppers love couponers 🙂 My Kaysville and Layton stores are a bit annoyed each time,,, oh well!

  23. Voahangy

I just went to Walgreens (San Jose CA) to get my newspapers and my Complete contact solution. My son wears contacts and w/ the $8.00 RR & a $2 coupon, I had to stock up on it! To my surprise, the solution was 50% off @ $4.99. My OOP was $2.99 and I got the $8 RR. This made my day! I love it! I think I will definitely stock up! YEAH 🙂

  24. Sara Mikrut

I have a Catlina coupon for $1.50 off a Scrubbing Bubbles product. If I use this with the manufacturer’s $5/1 Extend Clean, I’ll still get the $2 RR, right?

  25. Kira G

I bought the Kank-a beads, my husband and daughter have each just had an outbreak of canker sores, and they didn’t have a RR tag and I didn’t see them in the flyer for a RR. On the package was a peelie for a mail in $2 rebate so I thought I would give that a go with my man coupon, well it printed out the RR so it was $7.99 – man $1 – RR $2 – mail in $2 =$2.99!!!!! That was a good one! Keep your eyes peeled for the peelie (1 per household)

  26. Andrea

I was trying to print off the coupon for the $5 off for scrubbing bubbles extend a clean. I ended up printing $5 dollars off scrubbing bubbles power sprayer starter??? Is this the same thing or a completly different thing? Did I print off the wrong coupon??

  27. Dawn

The 5/23 SS has a SoyJoy coupon buy one get one free and the Walgreens May Coupon booklet has a $.50 off coupon.

  28. Drema

I went to 2 Walgreens stores in the Reynoldsburg, OH area this week and I was told they no longer accept internet coupons. They claim there has been a lot of fraud and coupon copying so they are not allowed to take internet coupons anymore. Has anyone else experienced this?

    • KellyJ

Have not had this problem. Hopefully never will. I live in Mishawaka, In.

    • Shelly T.

I have three Walgreens near me and one of them recently told me that they will no longer take internet coupons. I had her give back all my coupons and told her that I would go to the ones that will. 🙂 The only problem is that the WAGS closest to me will NOT let me use my RR on the same day that I receive them. So they will not let me do multiple transactions using my RR. Where the WAGS that no longer takes IP’s always let me do multiple transactions and was my favorite one to go to. I really wish Walgreens would come up with a corporate wide coupon policy!

      • Shelly T.

Oh, and the third WAGS manager will not let them adjust a coupon down, where the other two will. It’s is like they all make up their own rules as they go along!!

  29. Dawn

I guess I”m luck b/c I have a coupon friendly Walgreens. I bought the wrong size of the Hawaiian Tropic B1G1 and I didn’t have the instore Tic Tacs coupon so I went back and the manager adjusted everything for me and I recieved $16.00 back. Supernice!

So I just found your site this morning, and I can already feel that I’m going to be hooked:) I needed diapers for my little girl, so I decided to try out the deal at Walgreens with the coupons from coupon.com…I also searched the flyer and found some other stuff I could use, so I set out on my first store coupon encounter:)

It went awesome! I got the Huggies Diapers and the Complete Eye Care on a separate order and got $11 back in RR, then got my entire second purchased paid for with coupons and the RR…then a surprise, the chocolate that I purchased printed out a coupon that I had won a $10 gift card! So basically I spent $10 for $50 worth of product, not bad for my first try.

Thanks for all your hard work to help us newbies out!

Just got back from Walgreens. Went to buy Little Swimmers and I had the $1.50 Man. coupon and the $2.00 Walgreens from the May booklet. The cashier said that the Walgreens coupon (Big letters, says can only be used at Walgreens) was actually a Man. coupon (as stated in the fine print) and I could not use both. Anyone else have this problem? All the coupons in the booklet state that they can only be used at Walgreens, yet they all say Man. coupon in fine print. Gotta love the fine print…
