  2. sonya

i always have trouble using coupons at my family dollar. so i stopped going there

    • Britt

I know what ya mean!! Last time I went in my local Family Dollar the lady that usually checks me out rolled her eyes when I came in the door and said, “Let me guess…COUPONS again!!” Then the whole time she checks me out she huffs and puffs like the big bad wolf about every coupon! But I came up with a brilliant idea! I will call ahead the next time I am going and ask if she is there (I got her name from her name tag) if they say yes hold on I will hang up and if they so no I will say okay thank you and hurry over there to shop!!

      • fran

That’s a good idea, but then again, you can make it a point to go there when she IS working just to aggravate her 🙂

      • Debra

Don’t let her intimidate you – don’t let her win.

      • Anna

I would call and complain about her. U are doing nothing wrong and shouldn’t feel like u are.

  3. Sophie

How funny! I am in the middle of a delicous molten chocolate cake Warm Delight right now! Yummy!! Good thing I am stocked up on these!

  4. renea

I love them! My new fave is the Lemon one, I add a little lemon juice to it to make it extra yummy, Instead of ice cream on top, I top with a scoop of frozen cool whip and a drizzle of caramel sauce.. so good!

  5. Ava S.

Just an FYI .. those have a couple of grams of trans fat each .. enjoy if you want!! 🙂 .. I tend to stay away and opt for something equally yummy but healthier!

    • Janet

Yes. I agree. There is way too much out there that is not as bad health wise but tastes just as good or better. I try to stay away from unhealthy trans fat. It may be good on my wallet but not my heart. I am far from perfect though, that is for sure! ; )

  6. kimi

They are great for a quick “chocolate” fix w/o having to make a 9×13 pan…I love having a few stashed away for emergencies.

  7. Barbie

I’ve gotten to the point where I throw all those coupons away because I don’t even want them if they are free.

And no, I’m not skinny. I love food.

    • Debra

      why?

    • Julie

You could always just get them, if they’re free, and donate them to a friend or to a food bank. I bet there are lots of people who’d enjoy them, especially if they were free. (Can you tell that I wouldn’t eat these myself, though I’m SURE they are delicious…but with such a good deal I was trying to think of what I could do with them?)

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I really like the warm delights! I would recommend them! They are great treat to have, especially after the kids are in bed! It’s nice not having to make a full ckae which I would eat a LOT more of! =)

  9. Heather

I get these for my sister she loves them, and when shes having a bad day and I see her I get one for her, so I think i will be making a stop at the store tomrorow

  10. Christy

My husband and I share one of these some nights after Princess is in bed. He likes ice cream with his, I love fresh berries with mine!

  11. kay

I do like these, but having been in a couple of the local Family Dollars I cannot imagine eating any food from any of those stores. Too disgustingly filthy.
I used my snuggle coupons there.

  12. Linda

I used to love Warm Delights, until I found “No Pudge” fudge brownie mix. You mix 2 T of the mix with 1 T of plain or Greek yogurt, mix and mix, and then microwave for one minute. It turns into a single serving brownie. If you get fat free yogurt, the whole thing is fat free. I top mine with fat free cool whip for a late night snack. Mmmmmm!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the tip. I love it when we all share ideas on here! 🙂

    • Rachael

ok the no pudge thing sounds AMAZING, where do you find them?

      • Erin

I LOVE the single serve idea! I can’t wait to try that out. I get mine at Food Lion or Trader Joe’s.

    • Janet

Thanks for the tip Linda!! Sounds healthier! I will try it sometime.

      • Linda yeo

Trust me, it’s way healthier. And a little smaller, but that’s fine with me. I get mine at Trader Joe’s, but there have to be other places that carry it. Let us know if you find any.

        • Kristin

I’ve seen the No Pudge mix at the store and wondered how it was. Thanks for the tip! I’m going to try it since I am tired of my pudge! 🙂

  13. Joli Smith

I am 34 weeks pregnant and I eat those 3 times a week, easy! They’re delish! =) Thanks for the post!

  14. kelli

Family Dollar also has there Welch’s 100% juice on sale for $2 this week… so free after the coupon that posted earlier today. It will also work on flavors other than grape.

  15. Rachael

Do we think that Family Dollar will accept the 2nd .75 coupon on the item that is now .01?? Maybe I need to hand over both MF coupons first, then the FD coupon to avoid getting grumped at… hmm…

    • Samantha

I was wondering about that myself.

    • Heather

I did it today and it went through not a prob!

  16. erin

also i have been seeing them on clearance at my target, the 2 pack was just over $1

  17. Terri Hayes

I haven’t tried coupons at Family Dollar, but I am so excited about these coupons! I was able to print all of the suggested coupons, and printed several copies of the store ad coupons! My son LOVES Charms Blow Pops and has a birthday party coming up soon! I also will be scoring big on the Betty Crocker Warm Delights! Thanks Hip2Save!

  18. Pamela J

The problem is I will eat all of these!!!! I can’t keep them in the house or I will eat them. I don’t believe you actually eat these Collin and stay so thin……. 🙂 Good for you.

  19. Linda

HELP…I’m new to this process, do you know if I can print using a MAC pc/printer.

    • erin

A MAC printer or computer? i have a MacBook and had difficulties printing ONLY when I was set up on my ALL IN ONE hp printer, I have now changed to a straight Epson printer and walaaa, coupons galore!

  20. Jessica

ok so I went to FD about 2 weeks ago had everything planned out there were a few things that I have to use store and man coupons for after she rang me up I handed her her coupons and she gave them back and said that I had to pick out the ones that I wanted to use and I said all of them I told her that the store policy said it takes both per item and she said that it didnt so I went home and email them It has been 2 weeks still nothing. I got the email that stated we will contact you within 5 working days Thanks collin I love these things

  21. Rhonda

might I add….sometimes I just want the batter!!!! I don’t even bother with the microwave part- just the single serving portion of rich, chocolate batter is enought to satisfy my chocolate craving and I dont’ feel guilty AT ALL. NOT AT ALL

  22. Sandy_Shoes

    Jessica,
See comment #5 from Trina. There is a link to their policy. Thanks, Trina, I was wondering the same thing. Now I just have to figure out which order to hand over the coupons to make it work.

  23. Katie

I just scored some warm delights mini bowls on cleareance at target for $0.93 and uses (2) $0.75 and (2) $0.50 coupons to get 2 for $0.18 and 2 for $0.43 so thats 4 $1.22!!!

  24. Takako

Thank you for “sweet” deal like that!! I often go to the store since I never had any problems.

  25. MaryAnn

I got them, but unless you are buying something else…be prepared to get a “filler” item so you don’t have more coupons than items!!!

  26. judy

Good deal if they will let you – my local stores will not accept printed c/o and they would never let me use 3 c/o on 2 items.

  27. Maggie

I just have to share my experience at the Family Dollar this morning! So, I went there, and assistant manger checked me out—with hesitation mind you!! She first had a problem with my internet coupon-telling me THEY no longer accept them. I asked her to scan them-they worked. She gave me the total and I said-I think you forgot to scan the store coupon. And she said–no no no, we do not accept both, you’d be double dipping. I explained to her that that is not double dipping yadda yadda yadda. She then proceeded to call CORPORATE to get the answer. They told her it was POSSIBLE to do both coupons. But even after getting off the phone with corporate she was still hesitant. I think more in shock because i only spent $.26. I think i’ll be choosing another Family Dollar next time! Happy Couponing! 🙂

  28. Mona

I don’t like Family Dollar. Went once and cashier refused to take a MQ on personal items since they were already on sale.

  29. Erin

Just went to Family Dollar and was rudely told by the cashier that they no longer accept manufactors coupons that have been printed off the internet, and it is also only 1 coupon per item. I tried explaining that 1 of the 3 coupons was a store coupon but she started getting even more upset with me and called over another cashier who was even worse. I will NEVER be going back there again, it was a really embarrassing and frustrating experience.

  30. Julie

I had a couple of those before and they ARE very tasty. But then I discovered a recipe that is oh-so-yummy, costs much less…and you still get only a single serving (so not too bad for the waistline).
Mix 2 T. water, 2 T. oil, 1/4 t. vanilla, dash of salt, 2 T. cocoa, 3 T. sugar, and 4 T. flour together in a microwaveable bowl. Pop in the microwave for abt. 75 seconds and you’ve got a gooey, yummy, chocolatey brownie-in-a-bowl that…while not EXACTLY healthy…isn’t nearly as bad as the bought stuff with its unpronounceable ingredients…and WAY cheaper!!

    • Angie

Thanks for the recipe, I am going to have to try that!!

  31. Kristin

Okay, Collin. I agree with one of the other readers – I don’t believe you’re eating one of these a night! If you are, what is your secret for not getting as big as a barn?!! I love these things, but will only eat one if my husband shares with me. If I only eat half of one I’m not too far off the 100 calorie snack rule. Of course, if I’m feeling really devious I eat the whole thing myself!!!! Might as well just afix the unopened package to my bum!!!

  32. Melissa

Have had two great experiences at a FD this week. Happened to stop by a different location in my travels and had to “push” my coupon validity with the clerk. She called over a supervisor and I was shown an official FD printed sign that says they do accept manufacturer’s coupons and do not accept internet coupons. I stated that my coupons ARE manufacturer’s coupon that I printed at home. She called the manager…he called some other store’s manager…called back and said, “Yes, we take those.” I plan to call corporate on Monday to see exactly what their policy is. It isn’t very clear between manufacturer’s coupons and internet coupons. The managers and employees don’t even understand it! After a long, challenging check out I did get two Warm Delights for a total of $.30!

  33. Rett

Went to FD to snag this yummy treat. First I asked the cashier, “do you have anymore of these hiding anywhere?” She looked in my cart and said, “if we do I don’t know where they are, aint that enough?” I laughed and said, “I have a house full of boys, there is never enough of anything.” Well long story short, she didn’t know how to ring me up and either did the manager. She tried to call two other managers to talk her through it. She even asked me “what should i do”. After 30 min, I kept my smile screwed on and my tone light. “Ma’am, give me back my coupons, we don’t need them that badly”. I really had no idea what else to do. My ghetto booty doesn’t need them anyway, now way in hec was I gonna share them w/ the kids – LOL

  34. debbie

Im getting ready to go and try to get the warm delights. I also have a STP coupon for 2 off., so that is a free item. I also have the welchs grape juice coupon and I have 3 of those. I bet I get some dirty looks.
Thanks for the recipe I cant wait to try that.

  35. Luckygirl

Thanks Collin, I got 4 BC Warm Delights free today along with my Free Reach toothbrushes!! You are awesome!!

  36. Summer

I went to snag some of these deals at Family Dollar. THe manager would not accept a MQ with a store Q. She said if any of the coupons say not to be combined with any other offers, she could not accept them together. So I looked up their policy online and that is what is says. I called corporate and she also said that you cannot combine them if it says “not to be combined with any other offers” or anything like that. She also said that if I had two buy one get one free coupons and bought four items, they would only accept one of the coupons. And this was at corporate! She said if they dont follow the fine print they wont get reimbursed. So I called the Merchandizing department and am waiting for a “Ruth Kelly” to call me back. She probably wont but it’s worth a try. It’s just hard to believe that Target and Walgreens would be okay with losing tons of money because they dont follow the fine print. I think something is really wrong here and I would like to know what is going on!
