Oh Yay! I may have to run to K-mart. I usually don’t shop there but the leap frog wash and go caught my eye. My son has that one and plays with it for hours. He got it for his first birthday over a year ago and still loves playing with it and dancing to the music. I know they also make a farm one and would love to get one for him..Here I come K-mart! Watch out!

  2. Rachael

Does anyone know if they have the regular leap frog books on clearance too?

  3. Lisa

    I have to get a grip…
after all the CVS deals I bought, I need to take a break for budget’s sake 😉 GREAT finds!
Plus, I get too excited about the gifts- I can never wait for the occasion to give them!! I gave my husband his father’s day present last night (the AE T-shirts came in!)

  4. tracy

my store in ontario, ca has the tag jr books for $9

    • Becky

Thanks for the heads up you saved me a 20 min drive. I live in Claremont CA.

    • Shauna

The yellow tag says $9 and when I did a price check it was $4.50!

  5. megan

That *almost* makes me want to go to KMart….OK, moment over. ROFL

  6. dawn

I have given up on our KMart. They are NOT consumer friendly or coupon friendly. I had pretty good luck at the beginning of last year and then they got super picky and frankly rude. Oh well, I hope others have much better luck.

  7. Rita@Chi-Town Cheapskate

AAARRGGHH! My K-Mart is just far enough away to make this an inconvenience….knowing my luck I’d drive 15 miles and it will all be picked over!

  8. renee

anyone know where I can get the tag reader for cheap?

    • tracy

i found mine at kohls for 19.99 and tag jr is 3.99 now.

  9. melissa

After the “coupon fraud” issue in months past($10 off $20 coupon from their own website) I have yet to step in a Kmart since. Even if they are giving items away I still will not shop there.

    • megan

      ME EITHER.

  10. Ann Dee

I called the Salt Lake City, UT K-Mart and the Draper, UT K-Marts and they don’t carry Tag stuff anymore…SO GLAD I CALLED!!!! I was almost out the door with my two kids to drive 20 minutes to one. Whew!!! A lesson learned to ALWAYS call first.

Off to Macey’s Grocery Store 2 blocks away to get Keebler cookies for 50 cents and free movie tickets with every 5 I buy. YEAH!!! At least there are always more deals around the corner…..

    • Shanna

I haven’t seen anything about the movie ticket deal with the Keebler cookies at Maceys. Details? TIA

      • Camille

I got the movie ticket deal on the rice krispies at Maceys.

We also just scored at Kmart in west Jordan, ut… they had all the tag stuff still and the jr;s were on clearance.

  11. anu1c

Yup after that coupon incident couple of months ago, I have NOT gone back to kmart. Sucks because I do have a gift card for that store, but just dont feel like dealing with mean cashiers and rude customer service.

    • tracy

i like my kmart. i havent had any problems. i was gonna buy a dora necklace 19.99 thursday sale only but ended up buying an ariel necklace for 10 on clearance instead. my baby likes ariel better and screamed mom, come and look! i want this one!

    • Jeana

You can always sell your gift card on ebay for cash.

  12. Rachelle R

i used a coupon for 20% off your total toy purchase at Kmart. it came in my son’s kids meal from burger king. i only bought one thing–even their sale price still seems expensive!!

  13. Ann Dee

I think we should email K-Mart like we did Wal-Mart….

  14. amanda

is it true double coupons start on june 6th?

    • Nicole

I would check with your store about the double coupons. I actually just emailed the Sears/Kmart Corp last week and asked about upcoming double coupon events, and they told me they had no knowledge of any double coupon events coming up. It would be nice though! That’s where I usually score stock up on my cereal is during the double coupons!

    • SjR

      July 6th

  15. Jen

I just got a Tag Book for $0.93!!! It was marked $11, it rang up for $5.50 and then I used my $5 off coupon…sweet deal!!

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I could literally cry right now, just got back found all the books I wanted and they REFUSED my coupons! Said they don’t accept internet coupons now! GRRRR calling corporate!

  17. Maureen Ruble

I got the same three books with the coupon…for a $1.50 overage. Yay! The cashier did call over the manager due to questioning internet coupons but they scanned it fine.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Called the store and corporate, wished those people were more educated and knew how to talk like normal people!

  19. Natalie S

Are all Kmarts doing the 50% off clearance? I called mine before I made the trek over and was told they are not doing 50% off clearance. Could this be true or did I get an ignorant employee?

    • Shauna

Check the weekly ad at kmart.com for your store. It is at the bottom of page 11. Call them back to double check if it is printed in your ad.

  20. Toni

Thanks for the info. Just got back from Kmart (Dalton, GA) and walked away with 6 free books. They did not allow the overage and a manager was not happy about the coupons but she took them. They only had 3 titles on clearance but I bought 2 of each hoping to work out a trade with someone on the duplicates. Nothing like saving money and it being Friday too.

  21. Jennifer

Just did the deal. Got three tag books for 4.50 each minus 2/5.00 coupons and one 3.00 coupon got them all for $1.00, yes. They did give me touble about the coupon but then she finally took it. Said it said one per transaction or something, I said it’s one per book. So she then took one book off and re-rung it to take off the coupon. Geez, makes me feel like I am stealing!!

  22. galaxystar2

no signs anywhere about this deal in my store, but everything scanned 50% off. Nothing too great to buy though, lol 🙁

  23. Lisa

My Kmart didn’t have much at all. The only thing I bought was the game MOVIE SCENE IT 2 for $8 down from $31.99.

  24. Angela

We just got back from our store in OK and were able to get five Tag Books and use five coupons. Yay! The cashier was surprised they rang up but she didn’t give me any trouble about them.

  25. Maureen

I found great deals when Kmart had 50% off last summer, but my store had a very limited selection this year and the prices weren’t great. I’m sure later in the summer there will be better deals!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I like the cashiers at my Kmart and I like Kmart deals when the good ones come along. I also like that they are the only store that offer on a regular basis $25 GCs for prescriptions. I have used the GCs at their store and at CVS when I needed. I also have gotten some extremely good deals this year. I got enough Xmas supplies at 90% off using the Glade candle & catalina deals last January(?) for next Xmas. I bought tape, boxes, ribbons, candy (for baking), and red bows (retail about $150). I started with a $10 GC I got with a $4 prescription, then used the GC to get candles and catalinas, then bought Xmas supplies and then bought 4 bags of Hersey’s candy and eventually had another $10 GC in the mail–in time for the doubles coupons–plus I used the candy to get 2 free movie tickets to Iron Man 2. With the 2 $10 GCs from the Hersey’s candy deal, I bought enough personal and home items from the double coupons to last till fall (with 2 $10 GC and double coupons and catalinas). I got over $300 dollars worth of products starting with OOP with the $4 from prescription I got in January. PS-I found a $30 jewelry box on clearance for $2.00 that was still in its original box and I bought it with the last of the (double coupon) catalinas I collected. In addition I am waiting for my $10 rebate from PG. The only OOP I ever paid for all the products I got was my January prescription copay!

I got another $10 GC with another $4 prescription (antibiotics) and used that to do the Scott towel deal. I bought 4 products, used coupons, GC, and catalinas, got 4 more products using same things, and did it one more time and got 3 more products. In addition, I also I now have several high price coupons for future Scott products, and had a $3 catalina left over. With that I catalina and coupons I bought 2 popcorn bags, box of crackers, 2 bags of Bliss candy, laundry soap, and tooth paste (all was 75% off on clearance).

I have done a few small deals where I got some free cereal and low cost Gerber clothes and did not pay much OOP. No on likes Kmart I guess so as a consequence the shelves are always full and it is on my drive to and from work so easy to make frequent trips versus a “giant” multi-coupon trip. It is not in the “best part” of town but it clean and the cashiers and nice.

The products I get there are the same that I have gotten at Target, Walmart, Walgreens and CVS. The only difference is I have not been treated badly like I have at Target and Walgreens. I only shop when I can catch really good deals and this year I have had a real ripple effect with the GCs. catalinas, and coupons.

The GCs I get with prescriptions really helps my budget. The pharmacy people are always so nice to the elderly there. It is refreshing.

Yes, Kmart is not perfect but I like my cashiers and Kmart.Kmart has saved me lots of money!

  27. Deanna

Ok, so after all the comments I’ve read here (and on other sites) about Kmart, I’ve never gone in there with coupons. But…I thought this was a good enough deal to try, as my daughter is really getting into hers since she got one for her birthday in March. The cashier was great, no trouble with the coupons at all. 4 coupons, 4 books…one rang up at regular price as it wasn’t on clearance to begin with, but I figured no big deal, the overage from the three that rang up at $4.50 would go towards that one. So, I bought 4 for less than $9. All in all, it was a great experience. My cashier was impressed with the deal, as well! Total savings was still 83% from Kmarts regular price!

Thought I would put a positive experience with Kmart out there!

  28. sara

last year when the tranformer 5/20 toy Q was out and the 50% off clearance toys i made so many trips and transactions that week, it was bordering on ridiculous. we bought our kids ENTIRE christmas, and bday presents there! they were doing the dbl Qs at the same time (limit 25 back then) and i was totally more into the toys than the coupon finds! hopefully they have some good deals this year, but for some reason i dont think im gonna make out as good! im glad that they allow clearance on layaway too, cause my wallet is looking pretty sad this week!

  29. amanda

Just got back and got overage on the 2 tag jr books I bought…..I got the
    books:

    Pooh loves to….
How do dinosaurs play with their friends.

May go to a different target, only took 2 coupons but it didnt look like ALL the tag jr books were clearanced but I didnt scan them.

  30. Becky

I am so lucky to have a friendly and clean K-Mart! I bought several toys last weekend at 50% off. I got a great head start on my son’s Christmas.

  37. Nicole

Went there today, and I had a coupon from Burger King kids meal, save 20% on your toy purchase at kmart!! Pretty sweet deal, The coupon came with the iron man toys

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do you need anything, the book pal, to be able to hear the audiol?

  39. Rett Schaefer

Admittedly I am not a Kmart fan – BUT I snagged some great deals yesterday. I have four boys – you know how it is. “Mom, I got invited to so & so party” or “Mom I need a gift for the gift exchange”. Totally stocked up my gift closet and got my niece the Fairy-tantic Barbie For $8.50 !!! Picked up this thing called FAMPS – no idea what the hec it is, but I thought they were cute. The starter pack was $6.50 and the lil add ons were $4. I think my niece will get like them to. The huge news I want to share is this. Go to kmart.com and check out the toy clearance there – you won’t be disappointed !!!

  40. Penny
