Agh ! I signed up and the coupon says it expires tomorrow…I’m not needing to buy things for our new house for 2 weeks..
Stephanie says:
I would still take it in and explain the situation. HD has one of the most easy-going coupon policies I have dealt with. Or, call a manager tomorrow and explain it, see if he/she will ok using it within a couple weeks, and just take down a name. I bet they will work with you on it.
You can also take this over to Lowe’s and use it, if that is more convenient than a HD.
E.E says:
Will the coupon be emailed or sent snail mail? I move next month so I hope it comes by then.
E.E says:
nvm I got the email too and the date is tomorrow as well.
Marianne says:
FYI – Lowe’s and HD honor each other’s coupons. If you *go into* your local Post Office and ask for the Change of Address PACKET (most in my area keep them behind the counter, not sitting out in the lobby area), there is a 10% off entire purchase for Lowe’s. Those coupons generally have an expiration date 2-3 months away. You have to be sure to get the whole packet though. Our local Post Offices have some other thinned out packet in the lobby which I think only has instructions on how to do the change via internet and then you’re eligible for email coupons, but the packet has the physical coupon in it.
We’ve had no problems using these Lowe’s coupons at either Lowe’s or Home Depot. Good luck!

it depends on what day did you put that your were moving.
Robin says:
What bull I just spent about $180 there last night. I wonder if I take the coupon in, return the merchandise, then re-purchase it if they will let me use the coupon then. Thats 18 bucks I can save. Anyone Know?? Have you done anything like this before?
Amanda C. says:
How long did it take to receive the coupon? I signed up and got the confirmation for registering, but haven’t received the coupon.
Thanks.
AnnaMae says:
I also signed up and haven’t received anything. I need it to go get our new carpet cleaner. Ugh….
Anyone have one that is going to expire today they can’t use? I’d love to have it.

I signed up and received confirmation and then the coupon all within about 5 minutes. But the coupon is only good through today! How silly! I even put a moving date of month out in advance. I guess I can try to sign up again and print it the day I know I’m going to HD.
Samantha says:
My family does not use a lot of credit cards, but my dad recently signed up for a commercial account at Home Depot and they gave him $200 of store credit as an incentive!!! The next week, an associate was stopping people at the front door asking if they wanted to sign up for a different kind of Home Depot credit card and they were also offering a $200 store credit for signing up. There is no annual fee and basically if you pay the card off when your statement comes, you’re not going to pay anything additional for using credit. He has already used one of the $200 credits and the only stipulation was that he had to use the $200 in 1 transaction because they don’t have a system set up to keep a balance on store credit like a gift card would be.
This may just be a regional thing, but if you go to Home Depot a lot and feel comfortable with a charge account, it may be worth looking into!
