Thank you Collin. Largely b/c of the great deals from your site, I was able to save up enough to pay for my $14K school tuition out of pocket this year and I will graduate without any student loans. It’s a great feeling. Keep up the good work!

    • Tilla

congrats to you! my husband has nearly 40 k in student loans, and though we make very good money now, that bill is certainly a burden

  2. Tamara

I couldn’t get your links to work. Maybe it was just me?

  3. Takako

“The page you are looking for is missing-404 Error”. I’ll try their website directly or come back later. Thank you for the sale info!! I love Gymboree!!

  4. Jen

I love Gymboree clothes, but get soooo mad when I see the clothes that I just bought even cheaper. It happens all the time with Gymbo! There is also a coupon for 20% off in the Family Fun magazine.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I also get mad, but I just checked all the items that I bought during the 30% off sale and they are actually now more expensive than they were last week so I feel happy!

  5. What to Expect When You're Losing Your Mind

Anyone know if there are any current Gymboree store coupons floating around in any magazines? I’m trying to figure out if it’s a better deal to order with the 15% off and pay the shipping, or just go to the store down the street from me.

    • CINDI

20% off coupon in parenting and disney’s family fun magazine! No shipping!

      • Pinky

I would have totally missed that coupon if you had not said something. Thanks.

    • What to Expect When You're Losing Your Mind

Do you by chance know which Parenting? I have the June Early Years and there isn’t one in it.

      • CINDI

hmm….is it possible that it’s in parents magazine instead? I got it in the mail and I just pulled out the coupon and trashed the mag. It was definitly either parents or parenting, and it must have been the most recent mag cause I just got in in the mail not too long ago!

        • Norteasterner

It is the Parents June magazine that has it in there.

I would love to buy some clothes, but spent a lot of money this weekend on clothes. So I thought i’d give ya’ll a tip. EBAY currently has a gymboree gymbuck for $6! It’s for $25 off $50. I would suggest buying one of those, then buying $50 worth of clothes. Plus you will get another $25 off $50 back and if you can’t use it. Sell it on ebay.

    • Anonymous

You can only use the Gymbucks during Gymbuck redemption period (you can earn them right now, but can’t use them yet)…

      • Tiphanie

my bad. It says July 15-25. I was thinking it said June 15. Sorry. Still a good idea for future purchases i think.?

I’d recommend going to the store. I think during this sale you can find lots of bargains digging through their .99 bins. Undies for $.75 after the sale and 20% coupon in Family Fun. Great coat originally $39 that I got for $5.31. The stores empty out the back room so you have a better chance of finding older lines really marked down as opposed to what’s online.

I went to my local store today and did great! I got a suede fringe jacket, black faux fur hooded vest, black/white reindeer print turtleneck, butterfly shirt and matching sweatpants, “Love” embellished shirt, cute sneakers, adorable polka dot sweater, guitar print leggings, and 4 packs of bows for $50! They have alot of fall/winter stuff from last year priced cheap. The suede jacket I got was only $6.99. Happy shopping! I hope everyone else has good luck too 🙂

I went to the store and scored 8 shirts, 2 pairs of shoes and 2 shorts for my son, 1 dress, 1 pair of sunglasses and 1 skirt for my daughter for $50. I did use the Family Fun 20% off coupon which saved me around $11. I was glad to find lots of boy stuff for $3.99. The green pirate sleeveless shirt, red and green knit shorts, button down shirts and hoody shirts were all $3.99 and the shoes were $4.99. Researching online made it easier…some of the prices had not been updated and when they did the price checks, they were ringing up less. Thanks, Collin! 🙂

Went into the store today – got 5 T-shirts, 3 tank tops, 2 polos, a sweater vest, 2 pairs of jeans, 5 pairs of shorts, a pair of dress shoes and a button down shirt…all for
$71!!!! That’s an average of $3.50 an item, which for gymboree is Bomb! I HIGHLY recommed price checking because I went to 2 stores today and neither one of them had their mark downs done. I hit up barnes and noble before the shopping trip to buy parenting magazine – has a 20% off coupon inside.

Does anyone know Gymboree outlet stores have this sale or not? Thanks

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Gymboree outlet stores have their own version of the Red Balloon Sale with slightly different price points. I think it started last week there. I’d recommend calling ahead of time before making a trip just to be sure it’s still on.

      • MommySpendsLess

So which is usually better – the outlet sale or the regular store sale?

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have found the retail store to have better price points.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I think the outlet price points for the RBS are lower, however, I prefer the quality of the retail store items & would rather pay a couple of dollars more for better quality. Outlet quality can be hit or miss. The items are not supposed to be seconds, but sometimes there have been issues with the items that I have purchased there…crooked hems, stitching, thinner fabric, etc. Other times quality on the outlet items have been the same as from the retail store.

I checked prices online before I went to my local store and price in the store were MUCH higher than online. I asked the associate if they would ring up less than that stuff was marked at and she told me that the stores have a different price point than their website. I inquired about any items in the .99-3.99 range and there was nothing that cheap in the store other than sunglasses at 3.49. Online the sames ones were 1.99. Kinda strange if you ask me, has anyone else encountered something like this? It was cheaper for me to order online even with the shipping.

    • CINDI

I wouldn’t have trusted her answers! Every Gymboree has the same price-points for the backstock they clear out during the red baloon sale. Most emloyees I encountered had no idea what prices were utnil the items were scanned because hundreds of prices dropped overnight they were having a hard time keeping up! If you make it back I woud politely ask her to scan an item and just see who’s right. That being said, Online prices pretty much match the prices in store – there just isn’t as much from the old collections online and those are the items that really go for dirt cheap!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Gymboree has changed the markdown structure this past year so that isn’t always the case any more. Some Gymboree stores will have the .99/$3.99/$6.99 price points and some will have the same items at price points of $1.99/$4.99/$7.99. The prices are based on store inventory. The stores with more inventory will generally have the cheaper price points. I have run into that several times when shopping in 2 different Gymboree stores only a short distance apart. Sometimes the online prices will also vary from what is being charged in store due to the newer inventory based markdowns. It’s very frustrating & confusing!

  13. Jilly

Thanks! I was waiting for a code before I placed an order. The code worked great!

  14. Kristen

I got 28 pieces of clothing today at my Gymboree store for $97!! Several dresses, and even a winter coat for $4.99! I love the Gymboree semi-annual sale!!

  15. Corinne

I went to the store last night. I got a ton of stuff for $106. I added up the regular prices and it came to $458. That is a savings of 77%! My store had boxes of shoes and socks for 99 cents. A lot of the stuff I bought rang up less than it was marked.

  16. Erin

I went to our local Gymboree and they had a $.99 bin. I got tons of winter hats, socks and undies for between $0.49 and $0.99. Some winter hats were not marked so I had the cashier price check them and sure enough they were also that price.

  17. Sarah

Hmmmm….I’m trying to decide what to do. I want to buy my son a shirt that says “Big Brother” for him to wear to tell his grandparents that we are expecting again, but the shirt is $11.49 online. Add $5 for shipping and that is ALOT of money for a shirt. I try not to spend more than $2-$3 on new clothing for him……What to do…….I may try going to a store and cross my fingers that they have it in stock.

  18. Sharon

Thank you for the coupon code!! I went to the store today & they let me use it. (Thank goodness for my Blackberry) I just pulled up your email & gave them the code. I bought my daughter 3 shirts, 2 pair of pants & a pair for jean shorts for $31.40..a savings of $69.10… What a deal!

  19. Mandy

Oh definitely go to the store. I have made a habit of pre-buying for my kids since I have an addiction to Gymboree. I did this in the winter and got my son’s summer wardrobe and paid no more than 3.99 for each piece. Now for the fall wardrobe both of my little kids have a great start and nothing was over 6.99. Now for the teenager thats a different story. Gymbo has great deals when they pull out their out of season stuff. LOVE GYMBOREE!!!!! Oh someone was asking about the outlet….I rarely ever shop their outlet. You can find way better deals at the store. The quality in the outlet just isn’t the same.

  20. Susan

Does anyone have the online 20% off code? I can’t find a magazine with the coupon in it (people are taking them from stores/libraries!). Thank you very much!!

  21. Wordpress Themes

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)
