Have questions about Walgreens?
Check out my Walgreens Store Guide post!

Diana says:
Woohoo! I see some things to use my RR from last week on!
I’ve just started doing the Walgreens shopping again, and I’m so paranoid I’m going to let my RR expire!
fran says:
Woo hoo! I got my free “i Love Bacteria” T-shirt today…thanks Collin! I never got it the first time I tried, but it came this time. I LOVE FREEBIES!!!!!! But you already knew that
Beth says:
In the Richmond, VA area, you’ll need your new Walgreens rewards card to score most of these deals. If you’re in a test area, check your ad closely, so you don’t miss out on the savings. I hadn’t signed up for one yet (didn’t need one more card on my keychain) but I will now.
Anonymous says:
Thanks I am in Richmond, Va and I needed to know that. I never got a card but I will know.
SarahandJohn says:
I have signed up for that Rouge magazine 3 times and have never got one.
SarahJane0721 says:
I signed up and now they send me like 2 or 3 everymonth? I dont know why but I always get multipules of it.
Angie says:
I have signed up more then once too and haven’t received it yet.
morganacm says:
Me too! I’ve tried signing up 4 times, even using my kids and husbands names to try to get it to work!!!
Aubrie says:
Same here – signed up 3 times over the past year and I always get the emails, but never a hard copy of the mag?
Patty says:
I stumbled onto your site and I havent been the same since. YOU ROCK!!! Thanks for all you do!
fran says:
Welcome to my world, Patty! It can get addicting, so be forewarned
Danielle Miller says:
Funny joke. I was telling my husband that I need to hit walgreens when they open tomorrow so I can get all the good deals before they run out of stuff. It’s been a real tight week for us and said, but we don’t have any money. I just gave him a duh look and said come on, you know I don’t need money to shop at walgreens.
Just a pocketful of change to cover tax, and my coupons and RRs will do the trick!
momwhocares says:
I noticed that when we have more money I feel more comfortable going shopping then when we are tight. I have learned to stock up in the summer when my husband makes more, and slow down on my shopping trips in the winter when every penny counts.
We also try to save money and pay up our bills so we never have to worry about them in the winter. Like my gas bill is -$180 and my electric – $195 and my water bill is $-107. I just pay more than I owe each month (due to all the money I save couponing) so it adds up and my bills are always $0 owed and I still make a payment of more than I would have owed. That way If for any reason a really great deal comes along and I can’t miss out, I do not feel so bad taking advantage of it – as we can afford to miss a payment. But, I have yet to cash in that card
My husband feels better about my going to walgreens when we are broke knowing I plan ahead and it prevents any OPPS’ on our finances. Maybe that will help you guys!
momwhocares says:
oops – I meant my gas is $-180 (meaning I have a credit on my gas bill of $180 and my amount owed is $0.00. etc… Hope that makes sense.
Jamie says:
Danielle: you need to post your shopping transactions trips to help newbies to walgreens… I certainly have NOT mastered rolling rewards and getting stuff like others and always feel like I am spending more than more senior walgreeners!
Collin- I know you are super busy but I would love this from you also, of course!!
Allison says:
try looking at some of the sites that are dedicated to walgreens like wildforwags.com or look and see who Collin credits when she gets the ideas until you find a site that is more for newbies until you catch up!
Anonymous says:
thanks for posting this site.
What? says:
I try to take deals I find on sites like this one and show the actual transactions you can do to minimize out of pocket costs. Hang in there…I am still kinda new at it but I try to set the transactions up that would require the least amount of money spent, the most items you can get, and still have the most rewards left over. savingyoursenseandcents.com
Kiyomi says:
On the Dentyne gum at my Walgreens in Seattle, it would not not accept 3 $1/1 coupons and use the W coupon. I was able to use 1 $1/1 and get the $1.98/3 dentyne. $.33/ea is what I ended up paying.
Kiyomi says:
The key for me with Walgreens is for me is to get stocked up on coupons, check this site and be very organized before I go (with a list of deals, what I will spend, RRs I will receive, and double check # of mfr coupons vs number of items I expect to get) and it has saved me TONs! This store can be a little complicated at first – Collin has great videos on Walgreens that really help -All the best to you!
SarahJane0721 says:
On the Reach ToothBrushes could we use the $2.00 off 2 with the in ad coupon to make them FREE? Example
2 Reach Crystal Clean ToothBrushes
Use 1 $2.00 off 2 Reach Toothbrushes
Use in ad Coupon to make them .99 each and have them be FREE?
This is my deal Scenario for this Idea:
Buy 4 Reach Crystal Clean Toothbrushes
Use in Ad Q to make them .99
Use 2 $2.00 of 2 Reach Toothbrushes.
Pay $0.56 (Since the .99 in ad Q is only good on limit 3.)
Get back 4 RR So making it a money maker?
Does that make sense??
momwhocares says:
You can try, sometimes they will let you and sometimes they will not. I’d ask them to change the coupon to $1.98 off of 2 if it beeps and they have an issue with it. Other than that, I think you’ll be fine.
.99 x = 1.98
good luck.
Shelly T. says:
I had a problem with the $2/2 coupons the other day. One beeped the the manager said he can’t adjust the coupon down to $1.98 because it is COUPON FRAUD!! I don’t think so, but I let it go.
Tara says:
the in ad will most likely take off for all 4, they have in the past
Anonymous says:
In my experience, if you hand over the maufact. q’s first then the in ad q, it wont beep for the (2) $2/2 q’s…also the in ad q usually will take off for all the items that you have, over the limit, but it is a ymmv, because some stores may limit you to the 3 only. I will try your transaction on sunday, if so there should be an overage of .04. If you have any B1G1 q’s it will give you more overage like in Collins list. My stores can get confused when you use so many different q’s, i dont feel like the hassle so i will try your way, thanks!!

oopps, just saw the dates for the deal..starts 7/1 and with Collins B1G1 example there isnt overage…sorry i was looking at MM instead of overage.
Hazel says:
Can anyone explain how we can use 4 in store coupons if it says limit 3? I’m new to this… Sometimes the scenarios don’t make sense to me!
Lisa says:
This is what works for me at my Wags-
Hand over Man Q FIRST, it will take off the full value of it.
THEN hand over Wags coupon, it will take off for the number of items you buy (4 toothbrushes = .99 x 4) The only way a cashier can keep you from getting the ad Q 4 times (per the limit) is to only ring you up for 3. I’ve never had a cashier like that, but YMMV.
So, if you get 4 toothbrushes:
- 2 x $2/2 OR 4 x $1 Q (my Wags had $1 peelies on them too)
you would need a small filler if this was your only purchase (my Wags will allow overage IF I have otyher items)
So total would be some change plus tax
Get $4 RR once that promo starts July 1
shannon says:
yeah i didnt see that the 4$ RR didnt start until july, and i just used coupons to get 8 free tooth brushes…i didnt ask why i didnt get the RR, figured i would look it up when i got home…and of course i am stupid and didnt see the date on the end…should be happy for scoring 8 free toothbrushes but instead i am agitated that i lost 8$
Jodi says:
I’m stupid too. Just came back to see why my RR didn’t print. Isn’t it crazy that free isn’t good enough? But I feel I wasted a good RR!
MamaAng says:
Do all of the monthly deals start on July 1st or just the Reach toothbrushes? I’m planning on stocking up on Dove deodorant, but I don’t know if I need to wait ’til Thursday, or if I can do that deal tomorrow???
Anonymous says:
Just reach deal starts 7/1 everything else starts Sunday, unless i missed another deal that had a specific date next to it.
MamaAng says:
Oh, and BTW, the $1off Glade from the July All You is with the purchase of an All You magazine (which they only sell at Wal-Mart), so no free Glade
Alyssa says:
The Glade coupon worked for me! I thought the wording was confusing too, but tried it anyway, and it went through without any problems!
Amber says:
I must be missing something on the Dentyne Gum.. If they are on sale for 3/$1.98 how are we able to use 3 $1 MF Q’s? Wouldn’t the second one beep?
Amber says:
I think I figured it out. Your scenario is if they buy 6 packs or 2 sets of 3 (3/$1.98) = $3.96
$3.96 – (3) $1/1 MF Q’s = .96
.96 – WAG Q for 2 sets of 3 ($1.98) = -1.02 (making that a MM)
Is my thinking right? For a $2.03 MM you would have to buy 3 sets, use (5) MF Q’s and the WAGS Q.
RebekahNicole05 says:
It depends if your store will let you have overage or not. If it beeps, they can adjust the second Q down to .98, so all three will be free! HTH!
Sheila says:
As long as you use the Manufacturer’s coupon before the Walgreens coupon, you won’t have any problem, the “overage” will just go toward your other items. No beepage or anything!
Elizabeth says:
That’s not true. My store isn’t giving the July coupon booklets out yet so I decided to just use my man. coupons. It only took one and then the 2nd one beeped. He called over the assitant manager and I asked her to adjust it down, but she said she’s can’t do that. So I walked out with nothing.
Kiyomi says:
That happened to me too! The second Q beeped!
shannon says:
that always happens to me, some of them give me a hard time about it, and some of them just adjust it down. it depends on who i get. there is a guy there who i proved wrong a couple of weeks ago and the manager went my way without me even explaining, and now he grimaces at me every time i go in ><
debbie says:
There is a coupon in this Sundays coupons for $1 off 3 Twizzler’s
Mashezia says:
My Walgreens has Home Comfort SpiraMax energy efficient light bulbs for $.99 for a 4 pack!!! They are regularly $9.99!!!!
Rebecca says:
Are you sure the Celsius Green Tea is on sale for $3.99 with a $3 RR, I have been trying to look at online view of the ad and haven’t been able to find this in there. I could totally be missing it as it is late but thought I would just double check that you had the right brand as I saw Lipton Green Tea in the ad but I didn’t even see a RR for that one. So just wasn’t sure – did Imention it was late
gwen says:
FOUR DAYS ONLY 6/30-7/3 AD
Mrs. B says:
they rung up on sale for $4.99 but still produced a $3 RR.
KJsmom says:
Thank you both for the followup – didn’t really matter because when I went to our store this morning they don’t even carry them at ours
I’ll have to try a different one on the 1st when I go back for the toothbrushes and see what they have.
Margaret says:
this was a rough week at walgreens.
note about the greentea–it is in the nutrition supplement section. Not listed on sale in the flyer but there was a sign below it and a $3 RR did print.
The socks did not print a RR but the manager overrode it for me.
at least 2 NW Houston stores do not sell the foot blister thing, perhaps none around here?
the crest was not on sale near us…I even had the cashier check. Probably no RR either then, I did not test to find out.
jade says:
ok i work art walgreens and i dont think the secret deodorant is right. its not in the ad.
jadiebby says:
ok i work at walgreens and the ad i looked at for this week their is no secret deodrant on sale and the coupon i think the coupon says u haver to buy the deodorant and the spray
jadiebby says:
never mind my comment but i wonder still about the coupon

Jessica says:
OK. I’m a newbie to couponing especially Walgreens. I was just looking through the above listed sale items. Now you have FOUR DAYS ONLY 6/30-7/3 listed, is there going to be another ad come Wed or are these just going to be on sale at the store?
Thanks for the help.
Jessica says:
OK another question: How do RR’s work? I was reading up on them on Walgreens.com and it states the only one RR coupon per transaction. Now does that mean you can only have one item per transaction that has a RR? Or can you have multiple RR items and only one coupon w/ the total # of RR prints at the end?
Please help!
Elizabeth says:
RR can be confusing! When it says 1 RR per transaction it means per deal.
For example: you can buy the fruit smoothies lip care for $2.99 and the Airplus Moisturizing socks for $3 in one transaction and 2 RR will print because they’re different deals. However, you can not purchase 2 fruit smoothies lip care items in the same transaction and get 2 RR (only 1 will print).
Also, when using your RR pay attention to who (the manufacture) it’s from. If you have one from Kraft don’t purchase another Kraft item that has a RR on it with your Kraft RR because the new RR won’t print. RR as a rule don’t roll. However you may purchase a P&G item with Kraft RR and get the new RR.
So, for this week you might start with something like this: Transaction #1 Buy 1 fruit smoothies lip care for $2.99. Pay $2.99 plus tax, get back a $3 RR
Transaction #2 Buy 1 airplus moisturizing socks for $3. Use your $3RR, pay tax. Get back another $3 RR
Transaction #3 Buy 1 Flexitol Blistop for $5. Use $3 RR, pay $2 plus tax. Get back $5 RR
This gives you $10.99 in items for only $4.99 plus tax. and you have $5 RR for next week. Of course you do not have to do 3 transactions. All could be done in 1 but you’d pay 10.99 plus tax and you’d have $11 RR for next week
Another thing to remember is that at Walgreens you must have the same number of items as manufacture coupons. So, if you had 2 items and 3 coupons (including your RR) find something small for .50 or less (usually called a filler item) to purhase as well. Please know that in-ad coupons are not manufacture coupons so don’t count those against your items
Anyway, I hope that helps a little and that I haven’t confused you more.
Kelly O'Donnell says:
I am very confused by this week’s Walgreen’s post. My ad doesn’t match half of these things? Do I have a completely different flier in San Diego than everyone else? My ad doesn’t have the following RR deals: Sure deodorant, Noxzema razors, Celsius Green Tea or Crest Extra White Plus Scope. Is anyone else seeing where Collin is getting those from? I just returned from my store and none of those had RR deals. I was happy to get the comfy socks and Blistex Smoothies though!
Kelly O'Donnell says:
Never mind. I just figured it out. I must be tired this morning!
Kari says:
My ad doesn’t have the Celsius Green Tea….My store says its $7.99
Mrs. B says:
same here. it was on sale tho for $4.99 and did produce the $3 RR.
Kelly says:
I went this morning and the manager told me the RR’s weren’t printing or the socks. But he offered to hold them in the office and call me when it worked. He said all the Walgreen’s in the area were having the same problem, this was in Cincinnati. And the Celsius Green Tea isn’t on sale unti 6/30. I looked for it today too and the Noxzema
kerstin says:
A RR didnt print for my socks this morning either… im in Minneapolis
Mrs. B says:
same here in NC. The manager is hoping to get the problem fixed by tomorrow.
Tammi says:
I’m in Allentown, PA, and I also had trouble with the socks. The RR did not print out, and when the manager came over she was not sure why. Then she said she thought there had been an email about them but that she hadn’t had team to read it yet. She gave me the socks and $3 cash and told me I was lucky–she was most likely going to put up a sign saying that RR weren’t available on that item.
Tammi says:
oops, typing to fast. Should have said TIME to read it, not TEAM to read it, LOL.

I’m in tampa,fl and it didnt print out in two different stores.
Michelle says:
I did not know you could use a coupon from the target website, is it just when it says Manufactures cupon on the top?
Kari says:
Michelle..yes….you can use it if it says manufacturers coupon.
Michelle says:
Thanks Kari.
Amber says:
The Crest TP was not on sale at my WAGS (still rang up $3.79). I did not try to get the RR. Does this not go on sale until 7/1?? Also, the sure deod did not produce a RR.
Janie says:
The Sure is on the 4 day sale. I made the same mistake today by buying one.
Janie says:
Correction to above. The Sure was on sale for 1.99 but I also did not get the RR.
cormackmn says:
I just returned from Walgreens and the Sure deordorant, Noxzema razors, & the Crest were not on sale for these prices. I had the cashier price check them. Is their something I missed? I didn’t check to see if the RR would have printed. I was able to score the Cottonelle wipes for FREE though, after receiving a Catalina last week for $2 off!!
momwhocares says:
Dentyne Gum 9-12 piece 3/$1.98
Use 3 $1/1 coupons from the 6/13 SS
Use the $0.99/1 coupon from the July Coupon Booklet
Final Cost FREE + a $2 moneymaker!
On this deal – it beeped on my first coupon because the gums rang up at .66 each. So, she had to change the gum to $1.00 to use the coupon, (or change the coupon to .66.)
It was still free gum And, I use them in gift baskets
tarin says:
I had the same problem but 3 days ago it went thru like a breeze. I’m going back in the morning to fight for my free gum.
Samantha says:
The energizer batteries are also buy 3, put your codes in online and get a free ticket to a Disney movie.
Michelle says:
in Nashville, TN the Crest and the Sure aren’t on sale here. arg.
shopgirl says:
I purchased the socks this AM and sales clerk told me that the RR does not print at the register. She gave me a form to mail in to get my $3. Also, I purchased the pepsi’s that had a $5 RR and it did not print. I have to call about this.
Rachel says:
Neither the Celsius 4-pack or the efferdent are listed as being on sale. I did a price check and the efferdent rang up at full price and the Celsius did ring up on sale, but at $4.99 not $3.99. I didn’t buy them because I was afraid the RRs wouldn’t print and since I have no back up (not listed in the flyer), then I know the Manager wouldn’t give them to me. Where are these sales listed??
Rachel says:
Nevermind…I just saw that this doesn’t start until 06/30! I still don’t see where it’s listed though…is it on their website, in a flyer or maybe the July coupon book? It’s just hard if the RR doesn’t print to not have some sort of backup to show the manager. Walgreens is by far the worst store when it comes to customer service.
Anonymous says:
I was just getting ready to ask the same question. Hopefully if an additional ad dosen’t come out they have them signed with the sale prices.
stephanie says:
do you get the movie ticket right then and there? or do you have to mail away for it?

I just ordered a bunch of coupons from Dede! $3 off Celsius Qs, $1 Dentyne Qs, and a few $.55 Efferdent Qs for the 4 Day Sale! Im kind of worried though because I havent seen it advertised here yet .. anyone know how to figure out if your WAGS is participating in the 4 Day sale? I’d hate to have ordered these coupons for nothing, lol!
Amber says:
I just got back from 24hr WAGS, lol!
I got 3 Twizzlers (2 Fruit Filled & 1 Strawberry) $1.50 ea = $4.50
Flexitol Blistop $5
Angel Soft toilet paper $4.00 – $.50 Q = $3.50
6 pks of Dentyne 3/$1.98 = $3.96.
I used $10 Neutrogena RR, (3) $1 Dentyne Qs (no beeps!), $.50 Angel Soft Q, and Dentyne IVC, paid $1.54 (w/tax), got back $5 Blistop RR & $2 Twizzler RR
donna says:
Crest Extra White Plus Scope Toothpaste 5.8 oz. or Oral-B Advantage Toothbrushes 2 pk. $3 = $3 RR
Question???
I have a RR from a few days ago for $1.50 off Crest extra white plus scope. If I use it, will it void the $3 RR??? I’m still kinda new to this. THX
Amber says:
Donna, no it will not void the $3 RR it will make it cheaper! So, you would pay $1.50 + tax then get a $3 RR!
donna says:
Thanks! I was worried because it was a walgreens generated RR that it would count as the same as a RR on your next trip deal. So to understand then it’s more like a manufacture coupon with walgreens logo.
Lori says:
So when does the crest go on sale?

I know on a lot of items at Walgreens, the sticker will read “$2/$2 or $1.59 each.” Do the in-ad coupons work the same way? Like the gelatin that’s 5/$1, so I have to buy all 5 to get that price or will they ring up (with the coupon) at $0.20 each if I just buy 1 as a filler?
Lori says:
I know for the pudding I once used as a filler I has to pay FULL price because I was only buying ONE.

How many RR can you get back on one receipt or do you have to do each one separate?
Sarah says:
Don’t know if anyone posted about this yet or not since there are so many commens, but wanted to let everyone know. I am not for sure I am totally correct on this deal as I am very new to couponing, but in the 4 day sale there is a walgreens coupon for Dove deodorant for $1.99. I have 4- $2 off coupons for Dove deodorant that I just recently printed- don’t know where, but they should still be availabl. The dove deodorant is also included in this weeks RR when you buy $15 worth of participating prodcuts you get a $5RR. I think it would work to buy 4 dove deodorants- use 4-$2mgf- then use the $1.99 Walgreens coupon to get eveything for free and get $5 in RR! Like I said- not sure if I am completely correct on this, but thought I would put it out there- am sure there is some sort of good deal with this if it doesn’t ring up how I think it will.
Shawna K says:
Has anyone tried this yet?
ali says:
I’m trying to make this deal work myself, but there is a catch–the deodorant in the ad coupon for the 4 day sale excludes Dove Ultimate, which is the only kind in my store labeled at 4/$15 and $5 RR. I’m trying to see if the regular Dove, reg. price 2.99 and also 2.6 oz, will generate a RR if you reached the $15 mark before coupons. Once you hit $15, you could use your 1.50 or 2.00 man. q’s and also use the 1.99 in-ad coupon to take the extra dollar off each one and bring your total down to free or close to free, then get the $5 RR. It’s hard because the $5 RR criteria just says 2.6 oz in the weekly ad, so my store will probably give it to me anyway even if it doesn’t print out from buying the “wrong” kind. I’ll try this tomorrow or Friday.
Chris says:
The Noxema razors were not on sale and no RR were printing in Illinois.

For the 4 day sale, there’s a coupon for the Oral-B toothbrushes in the 6/27RP ($.75/1) Buy 1 Oral-B Advantage 2pk for $3, use coupon, pay $2.25, get back $3RR, $.75 money maker.
Also, if you want to snag another pkg of Twizzlers, use the 6/27SS coupon ($1/3) Buy 3 pkg Twizzlers for $1.50ea, use coupon, pay $3.50, get back $2RR, still pay only $.50ea! We love Twizzlers so we try to stock up when we can!

where is everyone getting this 4 day sale ad, our saturday paper didn’t mention it, there is nothing in today’s paper, and nothing on their website…i am sooo confused!!
Angie says:
I live in Columbia MO and went to get these deals. The ads weren’t out, but I thought they just slackin and hadn’t got them out yet. My trans total was about $4 more than I thought it would be, so then I asked a manager and she said neither Columbia store received those ads. I just checked the wags site, and there’s no 4day ad here. The Celsius is $4.99, Noxema razors were $4.99 and the Crest extra white was $3.79. All three RR’s printed, but I was a little flustered and had to rethink my next transaction.
Anna says:
I went to CVS and WGs today and got:
2 Sure deoderants with a “free” sticker on it
2 Celsius Green Teas
1 Az tea
1 can of tuna
1 Efferdent
1 Crest toothpaste with a bonus pack of floss and mouthwash
1 Natural Dentist with a bonus large sample of toothpaste
3 Dentyne gums
5 Mini-popcorns
2 1 lbs of butterscotch candies
1 small bag of carmels
2 Aveeno styling products
1 Aveeno shampoo
1 Aveeno body wash
4 M&M pretzels
4 Stay Free Maxi pads (bonus size packs)
OOP about $25 (retail $100+) with $10 ECBs and $6 RR plus will submit for $10 Aveeno rebate and $3 Try Me Sure rebate (and several items with bonus packages).
Is this a good deal?? These were things I found on clearance and/or needed for home and other kid activities
Kelly says:
I went today and got a pack of Noxzema and Celsius. The cashier tried to say the Celsius coupon wouldn’t scan and tried to give it back to me (I hate when they do that!) So of course that was going to mess up my entire transaction since I had 2 $2 RR’s I was going to use. But then the manager came over and he told her to put the code that was on the coupon and it worked.
