Wahoo! The $1 off any one package of Rayovac Alkaline batteries coupon has reset. Just head on over here to print this SmartSource coupon. You should be able to print 2 coupons per computer. (Thanks, Pirates of the Supermarket!) Use this coupon at Target to score the 2 packs of Rayovac Alkaline batteries for FREE. They are priced at just $1, so FREE after the coupon. You should find these in the dollar section (near the front of the store).

On a side note, I received this email from reader, DeAnna:

Hey Collin,

I went to my local Target in Riverdale, UT last night and saw in their “dollar section” that the BLACK DOT items (the ones with the black dots next to the barcode) were all marked at 50% off, making most of them just 50 cents each.

I got:
a 40 sq foot roll of baby gift wrap
4 dishcloths (2 two-packs)
2 small packs of Rayovac Alkaline batteries

I then used two of the printable $1/1 pkg any Rayovac smartsource coupons and paid 68 cents total for everything! (pics attached)

Thanks for sharing this with us, DeAnna! 🙂 Hopefully some of your local Target’s have started marking down their dollar section too!

Be careful, there are other rayovacs, also in the dollar section, that are not alkaline and the coupon will not work with those. They are in a red package.

  2. DeAnna

Because of the markdown, the batteries were only 50 cents so with the coupon I got 50 cents overage! (sorry I should have stated that better) 🙂

    • Katie

You’re lucky! At my Target, they automatically adjust the price of the coupon down to the item’s price!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Target will pull items off the shelf if a coupon makes them free.

      • Sara

Yep, me too- I did this thinking I could get overage, but they adjusted down. still free though!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

because your cashier wasn’t paying attention you got away with using 2 $1.00 coupons. This is not the norm so I wouldn’t promote it

    • luckygirl

You are lucky DeAnna because I went to the Riverdale Utah Target today and my coupon was automatically adjusted down to .50 cents, no overage on the batteries for me, but still Free. Thanks for the visuals, I got the same wash clothes and wrapping paper you got, plus I got 2 packs gift tissues @ $.50, and 2 birthday gift saks @ $.50, 1 childs bicycle bell @ $.50.

clrx was 50% off block dot in chesapeake, va too.

  5. Tara

    Not reset for me 🙁

  6. D Ryan

I don’t see any coupon. Has it disappeared already?

    • DeAnna

At the link, (for me) there is a picture just like the one at the top of this post that Collin posted….when I clicked it….the coupon sent to my printer.

      • D Ryan

Hmm. I don’t get the picture. Just a notice saying Alkaline Savings and Promotions. I wonder what’s up. You got it to print??

  7. anon

    no reset for me…

  8. Tiffany

    or me 🙁

  9. Erin

I saw reduced Rayovacs at my Target, too, but they were heavy duty, not alkaline. Too bad, because I’ve never had a problem getting overage.

  10. Jen

I didn’t see these at my target today, but the summer plasticware is 30 – 75% off. I bought huge serving bowls for .98 and little cups for my kids for .48.

  11. Ann Dee

Depends on your cashier if you get overage or not. Some I go to look at each coupon and make sure I have the right product and price….others just scan it through without looking at it even if it beeps. It’s the coupon game I guess. Ha, ha.

Haven’t seen the batteries at the Target in Sandy, UT but I’m going to check again. Thanks all for the heads up.

  12. Ashley

Yay that is my Target too!!! It was fun to see someone in my area:)

My walmart doesn’t accept my smartsource coupon, who at smartsource can I contact and let them know.

    • Mitchell Wischmann

SmartSource is owned by News America. You can contact News America here.

    • Melissa R.

you can try to contact them, but they told me it was up to the individual stores if they wanted to accept IPs.

  20. u098105

I don’t think this offer reset, as it tells me I can no longer print any because of the limit.

  21. Lisa

I purchased the Heavy Duty 4pks with the coupons. They took off .50 each, so they both were free!

    I also bought……

*2 Glucerna cereal……0.50 each after coupons
*Kelloggs Frosted Flakes…..$1/2 plus used the Free Kelloggs Fiber cereal, so that was free. It also took off the overage of $4.79 for the Target coupon!
*2 Travel Degree Deodorants, free after coupons
*2 Tide samples, free after coupons
*Lightning McQueen ice pack, 0.50 clearance

Total after overage…..$1.55! Awesome….Love this site! Thanks Collin!

so bummed.. Went to target to take part on the rayovac deal.. Went to see there was none left which is understandable. Heard a lady on the next isle talking about how she cleared out the shelf of rayovac batteries because they were only 25 a piece and was only going to spend 15 all together.. What does the math come out two 60 packs of batteries.. Looked at her cart to see it full of batteries.. with coupons in her hand.. wish she would have shared the deal…

  24. andria665

My target (in Memphis off Poplar Ave) had the black dot for 75% off. I got TONS of batteries for 25 cents each!!!! Woohooo!!! The cashier looked at me like I was nuts!

  25. Tammy

Our Walmart has a bunch of the 10 pack of Rayovac batteries marked down from $4.97 to $2.00. I wish i had more than two computers!!
