I’ve been waiting for someplace to use the Hershey’s Bliss coupons!! I thought for sure that they would make for free chocolate at Giant Eagle, but they don’t carry them:( I’ll be off to CVS this week! I’m also excited about the contact solution – we go thru that very quickly!

    • Melissa R.

I know. I’ve read WM and Target carry them, but I haven’t been able to find them in my stores. But I have seen them at CVS.

Such a slow week. I;m just going to get the Papermate Pens and Sundown Vitamins (and added the Hershey Bliss to my list). Maybe some notebooks 2/$1. DS needs 4 notebooks per subject (4), so 16 in all. I don’t want to burn too many ECBs on school supplies though.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If Target does what they’ve done in previous years ~ they usually have spiral notebooks 70pages for 10 cents each at some point during the summer. I think they were 10 notebooks for $1. Haven’t seen it yet but I know they’ve done this for several years bcuz I always buy for my classroom 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

they are currently .15 each at walmart, 1 subject, 70 pages.

  2. fran

I went to CVS today. I was able to get the pens and scissors at the sale price, but I didn’t get the ECBs, so the guy printed them out for me.
I got 24 SoBe (sale ends today)
    Bounty 8-pk (sale ends today)
    Papermate pens
    Scissors
I used 12 B1G1 SoBe coupons, $2.00 CVS Bounty coupon, $1.00 Bounty mfr. coupon, $2.00 ECB.
My total for 2 orders was $5.10 (I used gift cards for this), and I got 4 $1.00 ECBs (Pens, Scissors, Bounty, green bag tag)…not a bad shopping trip 🙂

    • Jennifer S

Did you have problems with getting the Sobe waters bogo? Mine rang up $0.77 each the cashier said its next weeks prices. He said you are still getting 2 for the price of one. But I didn’t get them all free after my bogo coupons. I tried to explain it to the cashier but he didn’t get it and told me its the same deal but its not! I tried calling corp earlier but it said they were closed. Ugh! I did get 10 for $3.85 but was mad I should have got all 10 for free like I did all week long.

      • Melissa R.

Thats why I hardly shop on Sat b/c with both sales in the system, the register picks the best deal, and in this case, them being .77 is better than BOGO (.77*2 = 1.54, whereas the reg price of 1 bottle is 1.59) Can you go back to the store? See if the manager will honor the BOGO sale (since technically the ad runs til midnight 7/10) and get your $$ back.

        • Jennifer S

I might go back to that store tomorrow its a tiny CVS and not my usual CVS and ask for manager and see if I can explain the deal to him tomorrow and see if he will honor yesterdays prices. I never knew Saturdays had both prices in the system good for some stuff but sucks on deals like this.

      • fran

I did the first order, and he rang up the 12 bottles, and yes, they rang up 77¢. He took off each of my 6 coupons for 77¢ each. I had the other stuff on this order, and after I paid, I noticed that I was still paying for 6 of them, so I told him about it, and I told him he owed me 77¢ X 6, plus tax, so he did give me the difference.
On the second order, he rang them up at $1.79 B1G1, so I only paid tax on that order.
On yours, it would have been the same deal if he took $1.54 off for each coupon. You will get your money back.
I did plan on going to 2 different CVS stores, but the manager didn’t have a problem with me doing 2 orders, and there were plenty left on the shelf for others.

      • sdshaw

I had the same issue, but when I told them they were B1g1, they just voided out 2 of the $.77 charges. Ended up paying $0.15 for tax on four.

    • Brandy

Well the ad states, here anyway, that the sale and ECB do not start until SUNDAY. So, technically he shouldn’t have given you the ECB for those items.

The ad runs, here, the 11th through the 17th.

      • fran

Brandy, the sales here also run from Sunday thru Saturday, but some CVS stores have Sunday sale prices in their registers on Saturday night. I also asked the manager if the prices were in the registers, and would I get the ECBs, and he told me “yes”. He had no problem giving me the ECBs.

    • Laura C

I remember this from last year’s school supply deals – the manager at my CVS told me that even though the next week’s regular sales and ECB start up on Saturday evening, the deals that are Sunday-Tuesday 3 days only will not trigger on Saturday and you need to wait until Sunday. He was nice and pushed them through for me though since he had a copy of the next week’s ad there to get the event code (but said he couldn’t show the ad to me, it was just because I knew about it already – funny!)

  3. FairyDust

I have a $4ECB that will expire soon and 2 $3/1 John Freida Root Awakening Qs left… Guess what deal I plan to do first thing tomorrow morning? 🙂 Thanks, Collin!

  4. julie

what about the Bic Soleil razor, will the $3 coupon in today’s SS work for that?? Its on sale for 3.99 which would make it .99 cents but i wasnt sure if the coupon could work on what is advertised?

  5. deb

My cashier refunded me the diff on my Sobe’s-gave me credit at the end of my trans!!
Made out great-it was the last of my 50 coupons.

  6. Emily

According to my receipt, the John Frieda deal has a limit of at least 2, not one. I’m going to take my other coupons back to the store and get some more. 🙂

    • julie

do CVS extra bucks roll???? i have a $5 from this morning but i want to go back and get more!

      • RebekahNicole05

According to my CVS, yes they do roll 🙂

  7. Emily

Ooh, and according to forthemommas.com, you can print a Target coupon for $3 off two John Frieda hair care products. If your cvs accepts competitor coupons (mine does) then this would make for a GREAT deal.

  8. Michele

Wish we had a CVS around here! The closest one is 45 minutes away + driving an SUV = not much money saved. =( Someone hurry and build a CVS in Toledo!!

  9. Shari

Does anyone know, can you use a B1G1 coupon along with a $x off 2 coupon…on just two items? I have a $3/2 coupon for Head & Shoulders that I got from a blinkie a week or so ago, and want to use it with the B1G1 from this week’s ad…if I can.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

no, u would need to buy 3 items to use both bcuz $3 off is on both products.

  10. Ryan

Just got back from CVS and thought I did better than I was expecting.

Got 8 SOBE Water and 1 Pantene Shampoo on Clearance for $1.06:)

After looking the clerk put in $1.59 for the water coupons while they were .77.

    Error in my favor…house loses:)

  11. Rebekah

Has anyone tried the Starbucks Frappuccinos? I tried them today, and they said that they were not on sale, and they were not in the add???

  12. Rebekah

Has anyone tried the Starbucks Frappuccinos? I tried them today, and they said that they were not on sale, and they were not in the add???

  13. tino

    Starbucks Frappuccino 9.5 oz. 2/$3

Not this week ! (was last week)

  14. StephyBee

Don’t know if anyone heard about this ECB deal. But CVS is selling their CVS brand Pantiliners (both scented and unscented) 22 count for 2 for $1. Plus when you buy 2 you get $1 back in ECB’s, so 44 Pantiliners for free! I got mine free today!!!

  15. Melissa R.

yes, its the monthly deal, and the limit is 3 🙂

  16. Craig

Oh crap! I went to Target and bought these SoBe at $1….well after that q like, .50c. Forget that they were cheaper here at CVS this week. Uugh. Well good news is even though I printed off those 2q, I went back to that Sobe link to do the “twist the top” thing and its still giving out bogo free q.s! So I just scored 2 more. Not bad!.

Now just got to remember to save the cap tops to try to win cool prizes ontop!

Thanks again Collin for all you do!!
