I got this same 2-pack at Amazon 2 months ago for $12.03, so apparently the price varies a lot. It is excellent coconut oil.

You know what? I hopped on this last time ’cause it was such an awesome deal, and I have not used it once!! Lol!! I dont even know what to use it for, I just bought it because it was such a great deal and I figured I would find out what to do with it later 🙂

    Any advice or recipes?

aaannnddd…….Can you re-start a subscribe and save subscription anytime? Is there a limit on how many times you can do it (resubscribe)? Seems like they would catch on!

we use it in our Whirly Pop too! Also, you can use it for baking – makes things taste sweeter. I haven’t attempted it yet, but I think it’s a great idea as opposed to oil or crisco.

you can substitute your normal cooking oil with this.

Ooh thanks for the banana bread tip; haven’t thought about that. I’ve used mine for popcorn and stir fries (top the stir fry with chopped cashews, toasted in a little more coconut oil – heavenly!)

I have a friend who swears by using it for sunscreen. She says it naturally blocks sun, she never gets burned, and smells nice too!

Yummy!! Thank you! We just ran out of coconut oil- we use it to make our own popcorn. It is AMAZING- soooo much better than microwave bags.

Perfect timing! My mom just had heart surgery and this will be waiting for her when she comes home, ready to start her new healthier diet. Thanks!

I use it on my toast when it’s in the solid state and in stir fry it is extra yummy. It is also good in baking just substitute for butter or oil.

Coconut oil is very high in Saturated fat…that leads to high LDL levels(bad cholesterol) in the blood…so use in moderation. Its better not to substitute regular cooking oil with coconut oil. Use sparingly.

Every article I have read says how wonderful coconut oil is for you and your health. It is a different kind of saturated fat than animal fat. I also want to mention that there are many studies out there that show you will lose fat when taking coconut oil on a regular basis.

Ditto what Suze said…I hopped on the bandwagon on this, and mentioned it in passing to my mom one day. She said they used to warn people about cooking with coconut oil. I ‘googled’ it, and found out about how bad it is for your cholesterol. The claim many coconut oil companies make is that it makes you feel fuller, so you don’t eat as much… Please check it out before you buy if you are thinking about using it for cooking oil; I wish I had.

It may be great for skin, etc; I haven’t tried that 🙂

hmmm, I have to investigate more now. Thanks for the heads up y’all, I’ll check into it more.

I bought some and will mainly be using it as a moisturizer for my face and body…maybe conditioner for my hair. I’ve read it has antibacterial properties. However, I think I’ll also try it out for cooking and replacing my regular butter/oil.

On a side note, I’ve also read it’s a good replacement in the bedroom…and I’ll leave it at that!

  10. Ashley

@Stephanie, LOL! Maybe Ill try that instead of cooking with it! hahaha!

    Thanks everyone for the ideas!
