Mark downs on meat like that are usually because they are close or on the last day of the “sell by” date. You can bet I take advantage of those!!! I got Laura’s Lean Organic beef for $1.38 per pound after the printable coupon. If you look at the sign in the pic, the sale date “ends” today, the 19th. LOVE meat mark downs!!!! I stock up!

    • Paulette

You are exactly right on that. A Temporary Price Cut like that is not going to be in all stores. That particular store must just have several of those chicken that are close to the use by date. I’m not saying that there won’t be other stores with the TPC, but I think it is unlikely. If you happen to snag one send one my way would you? 🙂

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Has everyone been finding the kraft cheese peelie?

  3. connie

I’m so bummed that I can’t find Goldn Plump Chicken in any of my local stores, Target or regular groceries. I was really excited to see that they have boneless skinless chicken thighs which are my very favorite plus I’ve got all these $1 off coupons (and the free reusable shopping bags if that deal is still going). Anyone know if there’s any place in SE Wisconsin that sells Gold’n Plump?

Check Woodmans – they usually sell Gold N Plump.

      • mamatojj

Yep…Woodmans! I was just there on Saturday and saw Gold n Plump chicken products. But be aware…they are NOT very coupon friendly when it comes to internet coupons. They only take printables up to $2 off, and NONE for free items.

        • Connie

There’s not a Woodman’s closer than 40 minutes to my house 🙁 I do know several people who swear by them though so maybe I’ll have to make the trek out there. I have been known to drive that far to go to Trader Joe’s so I guess it’s not that big a deal if I plan it carefully.
          Thanks for the heads up!

          • pam

just a heads up before you drive 40 min i would call them and check their coupon policy because like someone else had stated i know they recently cracked down on coupon use. i drive by woodmans everyday and it is not the grocery store i like to shop at anymore.

          • Beccah

If you have an Econo Foods nearby they sell gold N plump and they are very coupon friendly!

  4. muser

I was at Target on Saturday and they had a bunch of those toothpaste packs on sale for 2.99 on an endcap. I bought a Crest Pro-Health one that came w/ whitestrips instead of a travel size. They also had ones that came with a travel size Scope. They all have the coupons in them.

    • muser

actually, now that I look at them, the coupons that came with my toothpaste are manufacturer coupons.

  5. Rebecca

I sure hope my target has them tomorrow… no way are they open right now and I would love to get a few whole chickens to freezer for later(means it is okay if they are close to the sell by date) – we can make at least three meals from a small whole chicken :o)

    (roast, casserole and soup! yum!)

  6. Queen4

If you find the chicken for .99 can you please share what location. I buy for more than just my family and this info would be a great help.

  7. Jenny Walz

I bought a whole chicken and some chicken breasts last week at Target, not that cheap but still a pretty good price. At the checkout I got a $2/2 Target coupon for Gold n Plump chicken. I am in WI. I was tempted to go right back in and by more but I was running out of time.

    • Connie

Jenny, would it be too personal to ask which Target? I went to one in West Allis and one in Waukesha and neither had Goldn Plump.

  8. CarolinaGirl80

I have a $2/1 Gold N Plump q that I cant use if anyone wants it. They dont sell it in my area. It expires 8/13/10. Email me at qponcollector@yahoo.com

  9. Erika C.

The whole chickens were 1.79 at my Target (near Tampa, FL). I didn’t have any coupons (our paper didn’t get that one) but there were peelies for .75 off. I bought four, at 1.04 each. Crockpot rotisserie chicken tonight will be perfect on a football practice night. Thanks for the heads up!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks I’m in the Tampa area too!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

which target near tampa? i’m in brandon…thanks.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon I’m in Brandon too and it was $1.79 at the Super Target on Bloomingdale!

  10. Patty

I didn’t see the whole chicken on TPC but chicken drummies were on TPC in (WSP MN) for $2.24 so it could be cheap chicken with the right q’s.

  11. Treva

I didn’t see the chicken, but I did see the ground beef that was price cut for .99 cents!

  12. Theresa Browning

I have the $2/1 for the golden n plump~ problem is I don’t know what store to find this chicken in. Does anyone know of a store in LeHigh Acres, Fl. that sells this product?
e-mail me at tbshandy@embarqmail.com. thanks for any help

  13. pollyanna

Austin, Tx doesnt have the cheap chicken.

  14. Beccah

I got the toothpaste and it had Target Q’s yippy! I opened the boxes before i checked out so I could use them and got the 2 toothpastes and 4 of the aloe softsoaps for only $2.09!
