New coupons for J&J will be in tomorrow’s SS insert — and these q’s are Regional, so not everyone will get them. There’s also a $1/1 IPs to print as well, if you’re unlucky like me who don’t seem to get the baby q’s in my inserts 🙁

I was at Rite Aid today and noticed that alot of household cleaning products were on clearance for 50% off. They had laundry detergents, dishwashing soaps, cleaning supplies, and even the smelly candles and refill packs. I am going to go back with my coupons soon 🙂

here is a secret for you,,, alot of it is going 75% off sunday, there is some awesome deals on the febreze air freshners, candles and the reeds, like 75 cents and free…..

      • Jessica

My store had Febreze soy candles and reed diffusers for 75% off (rang up $2.74 – used $2 coupons in recent insert). Also found Glade reed diffusers for 75% off (at $2.49 – used $2 coupon) – what a great deal with a $5/$25 coupon!

      • Tawanda

        In New Orleans, RA had

  10. Allison

For the listerine pocket packs I don’t have a coupon from the paper. Can I use my $1 off any listerine oral care product August Video Values coupon and the Sept. VV coupon?

    • Tara

i dont see why not, there are no size restrictions right?

    • Jo Ann

Most Rite Aids in my area won’t let you use two Video Value coupons for the same item. Good luck using them though.

      • Melissa

I’ve done it several times at several rite aids. Just need to have enough items. ie, gum on sale bogo use 2 vv coupons

    • momwhocares

A few things I learned today at my riteaid in Caldwell Idaho. Of course, these are with using the wellness card.

      A) They are now limiting video values on the wellness cards. The cards read how many are video value coupons are used, so I was only able to use one per offer – otherwise the register beeped

      B) The $5/$25 video value coupons can be stacked with the $5/$25 rite aid manufacturer coupon. (I accidently had both in my coupon stack I handed her for one transaction and it went through – she said it was ok because they were different coupons)

      C) The +Up rewards are limiting to printing one per offer or maximum of 3 – it depends on the computers limit on that offer. (So, you may only get one +up reward or 3 on an offer, you wont know until you make the sale)

      D) You can get the spend X amount and get X amount back +up rewards deals on seperate transactions and still earn the reward once you reach your goal amount to spend.

So, when I bought 5 listerine pocketpacks – I was only able to use 1 video value listerine video value reward, and only recieved back 3/$2 +up rewards.

I accidently only gave the cashier 4 of them and so we rang up the 5th one on my next transaction and it still gave me my $10+up reward for the spend $30 and get back $10 j+J reward (I had other J+J items on the previous transaction). So, you can do those on seperate transactions and get the reward when you reach the goal.

      • Jodi

Thanks for posting! This is great information to know, especially since the program is fairly new.

      • Sarah

Thanks for the info! Especially on the Up rewards. I bought the $30 dollars worth of J&J products and my $10 Up reward didn’t print out. I received 2 $1.50 rewards and the $5 reward for Pampers. I’m calling them today. If the Up rewards are going to be limited to 3, in one transaction that is going to cause problems. Obviously I would rather have the $10 reward, instead of the $1.50 reward.
I don’t like that RA is doing UP rewards anyway, because (like Wal RR) if you don’t get a chance to use them it’s not a deal. I hope RA isn’t doing what Walgreens did and phase out their SCR. I stopped shopping at Walgreens. If I’m going to have to worry about getting Up rewards now, I won’t shop at RA very much longer either.

      • Cindy

Most of this info is incorrect from my RA experiences and their coupons policy. Of course there seems to be some YMMV for each shopper.

A)Video Values are now coded with a unique bar code. I have printed other coupons using another video values account and used two like coupons in a transaction with no problem. Whether the cashier will let you do that is YMMV, but the coupons will not beep as long as they are coded with different bar codes.

        B) You can not stack two $5/25 coupons. Maybe the register did not catch it, but it specifically says in their coupon policy “one per transaction”.

C)I’ve never heard of a limit of 3 per transaction. I just had 7 different offers print on my receipt just yesterday. But, yes, many UP rewards are a limit of one per card. I’ve heard the J&J UP+ is printing multiple times. Definitely still some kinks in the system.

        D)Yes, this is true.

        • momwhocares

          A) I was going by using the wellness video values when a person only uses on account. If someone has more than one account, then the barcodes are different then it will not beep and say the coupon was already used. I was referring to those who print more than one VV from the same account. Thanks for adding to it, so others know how they can do it for more than one VV coupon.

          B) That is what I told the cahsier and she said I was only using one per transaction. That one was a video value coupon and the other a manufacturer one and this cashier is one who makes a deal about everything – so as not to do anything wrong. The register did not beep either. BUt, yes – things may change.

          C) I may have miswrote that – I didn’t mean limit 3 per transaction, I meant per offer. So, if you have 5 of one item that gives a +up reward, by the policy you should only get 1, but it may pront up to 3. Sorry, I did not mean petransaction.

So, if you have 4 listerine pocket packs 4 of something else and 4 of something else and they all give +up rewards. You may only get 1 up to 3 +up rewards back per offer. So, up to 9 back. HTH – and you’re right – things are still being done on their system and that may change or be different depending on how an item is set up.

  11. Susan

I don’t think this was on the list of deals, but I found nabisco individual packs (oreo, chips ahoy, etc.) on sale at my Rite Aid 2 for $1. There is a Video Values Coupon for $1 off any 2 Nabisco or Maxwell House. I got two small packages of cookies for free! HTH!

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Starting today check your Rite Aid for 75% off Glade, Febreeze, spray and wash, air wick, surf laundry detergent….all household items!

  13. chris

I’m confused about a couple things. Many items that offer an UP reward say limit 1, but if I purchase more than one in same transaction, it prints out UP reward for each item. Will it print UP reward if I do a separate transaction later in week (using my same wellness card)?
Also, has anyone tested if Video value coupons, including $5 off $25, can be used more than once? I know you can print more than one, but does the coupon fail if you already used it once?

    • Laura Jane

They can only be used once. If you did try to use another one, the computer would say that it’s already been used.

    • SenoraE

The coupon will beep if you use a second $5 off $25 that you already used, however, if there’s 2 DIFFERENT $5 off $25 available on VV then you can use them both at separate times. Also, the Up+ print outs are hit and miss. Sometimes you can get multiples on different transactions, sometimes on the same, and sometimes only one total. I usually wait until other people post what works to maximize my savings and minimize my hassle, as I’m shopping with a 2 year old. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You can only use the Video Value coupons once. The register will beep and state that the coupon has been used. 2 Managers at RA in CT have told me that the program was chanced to stop people from printing duplicate VV coupons.

    • Kim

You should still get the Up Reward if you do another transaction. I did the Garnier Hair color deal a couple weeks ago on 4 different days and received 4 $5 Up Rewards each time, using the same Wellness Card. HTH

  14. lisa w

No Maybeline Q’s for me this week. =(

    • Jenn

This is for Lisa W, or anyone else missing Maybelline q’s. Most of the time, my Walgreens has several tear pads of mfc q’s at the counter of their cosmetics department for Maybelline, Revlon, CoverGirl, etc. I’m sure this is very regional, since it seems to be what they have leftover, but all Walgreens should have a good stash of mfc cosmetics coupons in that area. If you don’t see them displayed, ask the person working in that department, and they’ll probably happily hand over as many as you like. Hope that helps! 🙂

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Lots of goodies this week, thanks Colin! FYI – just got an email from redbox “GET A FREE ONE
    NIGHT RENTAL!

Buy any two (2) bags of TOSTITOS®, DORITOS® and/or CHEETOS® snacks (7¾ oz. or larger) in a single transaction between 8/29/10 and 9/26/10 at Walgreens and get a FREE one night rental from redbox!”

Sadly when I went to buy the pepsi at walgreens for this deal last week, they didnt get a shipment in 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

oops lol I meant to post this info in the walgreens deals post

  16. megan

Can I do the P&G $10 Up scenarios in 2 separate transactions? Collin has one scenario with the Pampers and one with the Tylenol patches. Can I do both in separate transactions and still get both Up rewards?

    • Karissa

The Tylenol patches are part of the Johnson and Johnson deal, not P&G, so you should be fine. But, in general I think you’re safe doing more than one of the same +Up deals as long as they are separate transactions.

      • Jodi

Especially if you can use a $5/25 q with each transaction!

    • momwhocares

I did 2 of the P&G +up reward deal today in seperate transaction and it only gave me 1 of the $10 +up rewards – I got 2 of the $5 +up rewards. So, NO it willnot let you do the P& G spend x amount and earn x amount more than once. At least not in my area, and I was told today they link the amount of times you do something toyour wellness card. I was told it is the same as a rebate, except instant –

      • momwhocares

Let me make a note: My responce is only the case if they are part of the same deal – if the deals you are speaking of are from 2 seperate P&G deals, then you should be able to as far as I know. But, if they are part of the same deal/offer – then I refer back to my prior answer. (again, that is in my area in Idaho that I had my experiance)

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The P &G $10 can only be done once per wellness card. I tried today and I got all the other Up rewards but not the $10. My store said that they’ve changed things. It’s tough when you can’t tell if they will work or not. It’s a pain to try to return a transaction that has coupon and up rewards etc.

  17. Karissa

Woohoo! I did the P&G deal scenario that Collin spelled out and the Oral B toothbrushes also printed out two $1.50 +Ups as a bonus! I’ve read about other people having the same luck with the toothpaste as well. Hope it works for others too!

Plus, I happened to have my 10% shopping pass for earning enough points on my Wellness card, and I had a $2/2 Pantene coupon from one of the free samples a while back, so I ended up getting the P&G deal for free!! Thanks for all of the great tips!!!!

  18. San

I printed $4/20 from my Video Values account. Can I print another $4/20 from husband’s account and use it under the same Rewards Card?

    • SenoraE

Nopers. Need to have a separate Wellness card to use another $4/20.

      • Kim

I used the VV coupons from 2 seperate accounts with the same Wellness Card and had absolutely NO problems!

      • DEREK

I gave one to the person in front of me in line as I had two about to expire a few weeks ago, and it went through fine with her. The cashier said it was fine as long as it was used only once.

    • dawn

you can use more than one video values coupons as long as they were printed from separate video values accounts. Each coupon you print has a unique barcode that can only be scanned once. But each account will produce a different unique barcode. I use multiples of the same cideo values coupons printed from different accounts all the time with no problems. It is not linked to your card at all.

    • San

      Thank you ladies!!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought 7 J&J items and 2 reach TB’s and got $2 ups for each item.

I got two boxes of pampers and received two $5ups and $10 for P&G over $30.

    • Meghan

I’m so bummed none of my up rewards printed today, so the manager had to give me cash for my up rewards. So I got limited to one $2 reward on the J&J even though I bought 7! I know that the way it should go, but now that I hear that people are getting multiple prints I am jealous!

  20. couponlover

I did the Johnson & Johnson deal $30 get $10 Up and bought 6 J&J body wash along with the heatpad things for $10, used lots of coupons and got the $10 Up and also got $2 up for all 6 of the J& J I bought. Made $24 in Up’s!!

    • couponlover

and I did this transaction 2x!!

  21. Zoe

THANK YOU Collin you are AWESOME!!

And I have two general questions:
    1) If I shop at Rite Aid store A, can I return something at Rite Aid store B?
    2) What will happen if I return items I paid using +UP reward?

    Thanks!

    • j

1: I haven’t had a problem returning something to a different rite aid store from the one I originally made the purchase.
2: If it rang up wrong, then you do need to go to the same store for a price adjustment.
3: If you return something that had an up-reward print, you can, but it’s unethical. In the past I had an item not print an up-reward when it was supposed to. I went the next week and explained it and told them. It was easier to return the item and they had no problem with it. It’s possible they would have given me the value of the up-reward, I don’t know.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Thanks J!

Actually I bought a wrong item which didn’t have an up-reward print. So I guess that should be easier to return it. But I paid it using +UP reward which I earned from previous transactions. I am wondering how they will credit me back. Will they print another +UP reward? Thanks!!

    • Corrine

They can see what is going on because you would have used your wellness card to get the UP reward. Not worth it IMHO.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Hi Corrine,

I thought I got 3 +UP reward but I didn’t since I bought the wrong item. Found it out when I back home. I think it shouldn’t have problem returning it since it didn’t have an up-reward print. But I paid it using +UP rewards from previous transactions. They might not credit me back and I could lost my +Up reward…Anyone had the same experience?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, you may return it to another store and give you a gift card (Merchandise return).

  22. Maria D.

I have a question about one of the rebates that Collin keeps listing and I want to make sure I am understanding it correctly. Collin keeps referring to an Oral Care Rebate (up to $10) as rebate number 556. I can’t find that rebate number. The only one I find is 560. Is this one in the same, or am I missing something.

  23. jenna morales

Does anone know how I can get 4 of the $1 Off Wheat Thins coupons? the Smart Souce system is only letting me print off 2. Can I just copy them on my printer?

    • Leslie

there’s a limit of two per computer, just find another computer and you can print two more

    • Meghan

Don’t copy coupons, it’s illegal and it can jepordize the use of coupons.

  24. Andrea

I have a couple of questions, trying to do the $30 P&G deal for $10……. first, I don’t see any $5 off of $25 for video values, I only see the $4 off of $20…….second, what are the cheapest pampers wipes you can get because I have a $3 off diapers and wipes for pampers and I wanted to put the cheapest I could find to make it as good deal as I can……….I am confused on the toothbrushes to get on the deal, do you have to get two of them to add up to $30 dollars when you also put the 2 pantene on the deal. If you buy one pampers box, 2 pantene shampoo’s what else can you put on it to make it the closest to $30 dollars ( trying not to go too much over the $30) to get the deal. Sorry so many questions, trying to make this work out the best for me to get the best deal possible. Thanks. =)

    • colleen

andrea, the $5/25 is in two different videos you can watch. one if for the wellness card and the other is for some other rite aid program. just look through the videos and you’ll find them. there are only a few items in the p&g deal. you could get the toothpaste or mouthwash or gillette razor instead. the toothbrushes are the best deal because they are bygo with a coupon and also another 75 cents off with the other coupon. i didn’t see any wipes included.

      • Andrea

Hi Colleen, thank-you so much for answering all my questions. I went back and found the $5 off 25 coupons for both videos. You were a lot of help !!! =)

  25. nikki

axe products are not printing multiple ups. bought 6 & only 1 $3 up printed.

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the crest up rewards is printing multiple times i bought 3 and the 3 give me 1.50 +up

  27. Robin H

The $1/1 Maybelline mascara coupon is also available on redplum.com and expires 10/15

  28. colleen

I bought 2 big boxes of pampers diapers to do the p&g deal this week, (i just can’t bear another toothbrush or shampoo, lol). my total before coupons was 39.98 minus (2) $1 pamers coupons, and $5 from the rite aid $5/$25. I paid $34.78 with tax. I figured I would get back $15 in up rewards ($10 from P&G and $5 from Pampers) but I actually got back $20 in up rewards because it gave me $5 for each pampers. I’m pretty happy about that. $15 for two HUGE boxes of pamers, 84 in each box. pretty sweet.

    • Cindy

Hmmmmm, I’m at the 20% off level…which means $5 for two huge packs of diapers….

    • Amanda

You sound as if you’ve been very blessed through couponing…why don’t you donate those toothbrushes and shampoo (and by doing 2 transactions you’d still get your two boxes of pampers but actually pay less than $15!)?

  29. Lyndsey

Can I use more than one +up reward per transaction? If I have 2 $2 off +UP rewards, can I use them both for a $4+ transaction? Or would I have to do 2 separate transactions to use both rewards?

    • Cindy

You can use as many UP+ rewards as you’d like to pay for a transaction… just as long as the coupons do not exceed the pre-tax total.

      • Lyndsey

        thanks!

  30. savysaver

  32. Joan Southwick(Jafra Lady!)

We just got about $90.00 worth of groceries and personal care items for $29.00,, and after rolling ups to pay for some of the original costs, walked out paying $29.00,,, but still have another $10.00 in ups rewards for next trip.
Scott Tissue,, pretty cheap, and helped us get to the $25.00 level for using the $5.00 off coupon.
Folgers Coffee,,, coupon in the red plum for $1.00 off folgers special coffee.. and $1.00 off 2 for folgers regular. $6.99 each x 3 = $20.97, $2.00 off in coupons, $18.97, – $3.00 ups rewards, paid $15.97 for 3 – 3lb coffee cans… Great pricing,, and I also used my $4.00 off $20.00 video value coupon. Making the total deal $11.97 for 3 – 3 lb containers,,, then I had $9.00 in UPS rewards from my last trip,, which I used to pay for this,,, so I spent just over $2.00 in COP!

  33. amorrie

What an awesome week at Rite Aid! I just got over $100 worth of stuff for $13.21, and I left with $22 in UP rewards! I freaking love it when I get paid to shop!!! Thank you so much for all the work you do to publish this awesome website.

  34. Amanda

Did anyone else have problems with your printable coupons this week? I went to Rite Aid tonight and had a cart full but 3 coupons I had printed from coupons.com would not scan at checkout. It was the $2.00 off Playtex Gentle Glides, $1.00 off Reach Toothbrush, and $.75 off 2 Suave Lotions. I asked the cashier if they could manually be entered, she called the night manager over and he said he cannot manually enter in Internet coupons. My friend (and coupon shopping partner) whipped out her Rite Aid coupon policy which states they take internet coupons under $5.99, nowhere did it list they could not manually enter them in. When my friend checked out, the same thing happened to her on these select coupons. We ended up not getting these items. I want to go back again tomorrow and try and hope for a different manager. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    • Cindy

I seem to remember a couple of my coupons not going through, but the manager manually keyed them in…no problem. I can’t believe they wouldn’t key them in. I’d try someone different next time. Good luck!

    • Christy B.

I used 2 Playtex coupons at two different stores. Neither would scan. The cashiers put them in manually without any comment. Guess I was lucky!

I did notice at one store there were $1 off peelies on some Playtex boxes. Maybe you could use that if you can’t get the cashier to work with your printable!

    • Dana

The problem with the playtex coupons is that there are 2 bar codes on them. The one that worked was the closest to the edge (can’t remember what edge). My cashier was having trouble but the supervisor was there and told her how to make it work and it went through.

    • Andrea

I’m a manager in a SC store and in a policy that we have posted on a wall in the store it clearly states that we can accept internet coupons but if one doesn’t scan then we can NOT manually enter them in. The other few comments that was replied to yours, I’m actually suprised that the cashier or manager manally entered them. But I do understand your point on how it is not put into the coupon policy. They do that to help prevent fraud.

  35. Vivienne

Okay….stupid question. With the SCR do you have to buy all the items at once or can it be done with a couple of transaction?
For instance I bought $23 worth of Zone bars (I thought I bought $25). So the other day I bought a few more to add to $25 worth of Zone bars that I bought this month. Can I still get the $5 SCR for this month? Thanks!!
