MAN!!! My toys r us would NOT let me use the $10.00 credit to purchase the tinkerbell. I contacted corporate and basically got shut down!!! Its considered double dipping! My toys r us in vinings is always like this. I CAN NEVER get the awesome deals you guys do. I saw a women running around trying to get the hasbro deal and I saw them giving HER A HARD TIME!!! Ugh I still purchased it but I have yet to reserve beauty and the beast. I may just use the gift card for that. They hurt my feelings. lol

  2. Dora

My toysrus would not accept it either. They said I either get the $10 coupon or the $10 gift card, NOT BOTH!!!!…. they were able to give me a refund so I was happy with that!

  3. Carrie Z

I had no problem getting the deal as described. My cashier did tell me that they have had a lot of problems with it because of the $10 manu coupon but he was happy to take care of it for me. I did have other toys I was buying so I am not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks for posting this deal! 🙂

So I did the “deal” today at my TRU and it did work for me, but I did have to do a little haggling. I read previously that the deal would work as long as you had something else to buy that would bring the total of the DVD back up to $19.99. So with the DVD being $29.99-$10 pre order-$10 manuf. coupon the total of the DVD was $9.99. So in order to use the $10 credit from pre ordering Beauty and the Beast, I made sure I had something else that was $10 (I bought my daughter a pair of shoes for $11.99). So the cashier ran everything through, and when I went to give her the manuf. coupon she couldn’t use it cause the scanned the pre-order card first and it acts like a “tender”. So I paid the total, and she gave me $10 cash back for the coupon. Simple enough! If I REALLY wanted to I could return the shoes, so I would end up just paying the $5 for the pre-order and that’s it. But she needs the shoes so it’s ok 🙂

So my deal went like this:

    Shoes: $11.99
    Tinkerbell Blu-Ray: $29.99
    -$10 I already paid for the pre-order
-$10 deal for pre-ordering Beauty and The Beast
    (so I paid $9.99)
Fairies Watch: $9.99 (free deal, so paid $0)
Beauty and the Beast pre-order: $5
    Total OOP: $28.37
Got back $10 gift card, and the $10 cash from the manuf. TinkerBell coupon.

So I actually paid $18.37, plus got back the $10 gift card. NOT BAD, NOT BAD AT ALL!!!!

Today I went to pick up my pre ordered Tinker Bell and was pleasantly surprised to get a Tinker Bell watch also. It’s really cute and will make a nice little gift for my 5 year old grandaughter. Thanks for deals because I will be getting Beauty and the Beast as well.

  6. Jen

I went to pick up Tinkerbell today, and pre-order Beauty & the Beast. They were out of the watch, but that was ok, as I didn’t know about it until I checked this post right before I left. I ended up paying $20 for Tinkerbell, B&B, a magazine, some re-usable bags, and a $10 gift card. The cashier informed me that I could not use the $10 coupon and get the $10 gift card, because they “received a call this morning” saying they couldn’t do both. I was going to just get a refund, but the world’s slowest cashier was at CS, and I really had to leave. I went ahead and got it all, and plan to call in the morning to find out why on earth I couldn’t use the coupon. I am at least returning the bags. I’m hoping the next one works out better.

  7. Susan F.

I did this today. I asked the cashier if the $10 came off of Tinkerbell because of the B&B promo and she said that this was actually taken off when you picked up B&B, and the card does actually say that. Exact wording: “Cashier: Scan this coupon when customer pays balance due picks up reserved movie as per normal procedures, and purchases another Disney Blu-Ray $19.99 or higher.” So I was considering not buying Tinkerbell since I wasn’t originally planning to buy it, but I figured I can always return it if I found out that people were getting the deal. However, when I looked at the receipt the $10 promo did come off, so I’m not really sure what the wording was about. They wouldn’t let me use the $5 off $25 coupon, but gave me no problems using the manufacturer’s coupon. I did buy some bubble bath while I was there, so I’m not sure if that had anything to do with it. I got Tinkerbell for the $10 I prepaid and got the watch and $10 gift card. Not too shabby. 🙂

  8. Lindsay

This worked like a charm for me!! I was able to get the Tinkerbell movie, the free watch, preordered Beauty and the Beast, and bought my daughter a little pack of bracelets for $5.87 total!!! The only little issue I had was they actually charged me $4.37 for the watch. But I asked the cashier about it and they refunded my money at the CS desk. I’m thrilled with my deal! Plus the cashier was nice as could be!

  9. Kara

It worked well for me today.
    Tinkerbell Movie $19.99
    Buzz Costume $19.99
Beauty and the Beast Pre-Order $5
    = $44.98
    – $5 on $25
    – $10 when you pre-order BATB
    – $10 Tinkerbell
= $19.98 (the price of the Buzz Costume)

And I got the $10 GC!

    • Jennie

I did the same scenario..I bought a $19.99 costume with the tinkerbell….all the coupons worked, I got the free watch and the $10 gift card…my total was only $19.98 (for the costume)!

      Sweeeet! Yay! 🙂

  10. Lynn S.

This worked for me as well! I had an inexperienced cashier the first time, but once I spoke with the service desk they fixed the problem and gave me the $10 gift card to use for next time. A couple surprises…not bad though…I wasn’t expecting the free watch and didn’t know the B&B Preorder was only $5 not $10.

  11. Kathie M

Wow what an experience! I was waiting in line and CS said they could help me (since I figured I’d end up there anyhow I went right over). The manager rang me up and told me my total was $16 and some change, I then handed over my $10 MQ and he said he’d have to re-ring my order as coupons should come off first. When he re-rand it came up to 11 something. I said “The total was $16-$10 I should owe around $6.” He said that is YOUR math and thinking let me show you the reciept and what it really costs…It showed a $5 for the watch, he knew nothing about the free watch promo so after checking that out he removed that $5 and my total was still $11! He told me I’d just have to pay $11. I asked if he agreed that my 1st total was $16 and that $16 – $10 is actually $6 and he said…”Yes, but it doesn’t work like that when you use computers.” He finally called over the girl who’s line I was in and she said “Oh look your reciept says $10 off but only took $5 off I can refund that for you if that is ok and we won’t have to ring it up again.” So finally I spent $6 and walked out with my watch, Tinkerbell, and B&B pre-order.

I had a second order, just some Melissa and Doug toys but I wanted to be sure my Tinkerbell deal went through correctly and I’m glad I did seperate transactions cause that one had problems too! They were buy 2 get 1 free and I had a $5/$25 coupon. They were $19.99, $12.98, and $12.98. She said I couldn’t get one free cause 2 of the products ended in and 8. Where is that in the signage?!? It said ALL M&D toys buy 2 get 3rd free. She called someone else and they told her she had to over ride it because it said all. I ended up paying $30 for 3 M&D Food toys for DD’s Christmas. I was happy with that price but just thought the whole experience was a little much.

    Collin,

First before I begin let me say thanks because without your post, I would have never score such a sweet deal.

    I preordered my Tinkerbell Movie = $10 deposit ( 19.99 owed)
I picked it up on Thursday and preordered the Beauty & the Beast Movie $ 5.00 deposit
    I instantly saved $ 10 on the Tinkerbell movie ( 9.99 owed)
I had my $ 10.00 coupon for Tinkerbell ( now owe tax)
    Received Free Watch & $ 10 GC

    Total OOP= 5.70 ( Deposit for BB and $ .70 tax)

Here’s the down side. Register was having major issues. The manager had to promo the movie down to 9.99 because after scanning everything, it kept charging me for the watch, so what really happened was that she promo’d $20 off the movie, promo’d the watch to 9.98, added the $ 5.00 deposit on and it came out to $ 5.70. The registed wouldn’t give me the $ 10 gift card but she ” media’d the coupon” and gave me $ 10 in cash for it.

    My receipt looks like this:

    Prsell BB movie – $ 5.00
    Tinkerbell BR/DVD 9.99
    Immediate markdown 29.99 – 20.00
    Fairies Watch 0.01
    Immediate markdown 9.99- 9.98
    Balance due 10.00-

    Subtotal IC 3 $ 5.00
    Tax $ .70
    Total $ 5.70

No giftcard was received but like I said she gave me $ 10 cash for my coupon.
I tried to scan the receipt but my program gave me errors.

Thanks again for the AWESOME post!

No go on this deal at my TRU…they told me that we couldn’t stake and that it clearly stated on the DMR printed coupon that the coupon can not be combinded with other promos or discounts. Had to pay $16 today for the movie plus the $5 on the BATB. I was really kinda ticked b/c I don’t usually buy blue rays — since we don’t have a player — but had promised the girls the movie so I sucked it up. Not a huge TRU fan in the first place — think they are too over priced — wish I would have just went to Target or Walmart like I usually do!

  14. Jessica

Did this… paid $15.74 with tax (didn’t use my $10 MQ) so I paid 29.99-$10 preorder-$10 B&B preorder discount +$5 B&B preorder… got the $10 GC, and the watch.. took the movie out to my car, came back in with my $10 MQ and they gave me $10 cash back.. Ended up paying $5.74 for the TB3 + got the $10 GC and then preordered B&B. Worked like a charm- no beeps and the manager was so nice about it! Took about 5 minutes is all… I breathed a huge sigh of relief because after reading everyone’s nightmares I was nervous!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so Much for sharing this promo. After reading everyone’s posts I figured i would have so much trouble but nope, none at all.
First went in to pick up my preordered tink movie, while i was there I thought i would snag 3 hasbro games since they were buy 2 get 1 free + i had 3 $4/1 game coupons. She rang up my beauty and the beast preorder ($5), then I handed her my ticket to finish paying for the tink movie (which was -$10 bc of the btb), then she rang up my 3 board games which were on sale for $7.99 each. after she rang everything up I handed her first my $5 off 25 coupon, then I handed her my $10 off tink blu-ray movie, then handed her my 3 $4/1 coupons.

heres what my receipt looked like:
tinkerbell movie (19.99- $10 for preordering btb -$10 tink coupon = free)
    sorry (7.99)
    Monopoly (7.99)
Scrabble (free because of buy 2 get 1 free promo)
    3 $4/1 coupons
$5 preorder of beauty and the beast
    $5 off 25 order
so my grand total for everything was 3.99 + tax and i got my $10 gift card for my next purchase. I was super pleased at how much i saved. and I was in and out within 10 minutes. took the longest to look for one of the board games that were out of stock on the floor but my tru ppl were awesome and very efficient.

I spent about 1 1/2 hours at the front desk 🙁 They had trouble figuring out how to get the computer to do it right. In the end, they put Tinkerbell on sale for 24.99, so I wasn’t able to get the $10 off from Beauty and the Beast. But I was able to use the 5 off 25. In the end I only paid $10 for the movie and the watch with a gift card. I didn’t reserve the other one yet, but I will once I figure out what I want to use the $10 on.

    • Robin

You should go ahead and preorder BATB if it’s a movie you want. It’s $29.99, pre-order for $5, so $24.99 due. Use the $10 BATB coupon and pay with the $10 gift card so you’ll only owe another $4.99 oop in the end! Should be pretty straight forward on that one!!

  17. Katie

Also – I’ve price checked a couple BATBs at different retailers (using their online sites) and most show it as a $24.99 special, but they only list it as a 2-disc set. TRU is going to be $29.99 (before Q) and the photo on the pre-order shows it as a 3-disc set. Does anyone know if there will be more $5 off $25s coming up? 🙂

Dont forget you can pre-order toy story 3 and save $10 on BATB (technically saving $5, since its a $5 deposit on TS3), even if you dont intend to buy TS3, its still the add’l money off 🙂 our TRU will accept both the pre-order coupon (because its a store coupon) and the manufacturers $10 one at the same time, which is pretty cool. They have also in the past accepted the $5 off $25 before scanning my other coupons so I’ve paid only a couple dollars for things in the end 🙂 just depends if ya get a nice cashier or a real stickler! 😉

Loving all these Disney deals – i dont buy a lot of DVDs but at these prices, its cheaper to get the bru-ray combos than just the dvds! 🙂

  18. Lucy

I have preordered Beauty and the Beast but now am having trouble getting the coupon because we don’t own an older version of the dvd. Any ideas how to get a coupon without this? Not sure if its possible. 🙁
