I am most excited about the Oral B Rechargable toothbrush deal. DH has been wanting one so hopefully he’ll hold off and not get one and this can be one of his Christmas presents. Also, the Tampax deal…another great time to stock up. Going to use 9 $2 q’s along with a CVS $/$$ Q to reduce the price even more. The Iron Man DVD will go to my niece; she’s only 4 but loves Iron Man!! LOL Already got her the Tinkerbell DVD so with this is will be two great DVD’s from Christmas for under $10 oop!!

    • rose

IDK if you did your deal or not, but I happened to look at the Olay coupon while I was clipping it and something bolded caught my eye ~~ LIMIT 4 LIKE COUPONS in same shopping trip !!!!
And its on every single P&G coupon except for the Kandoo! Guess they’re on to us super couponers!

      • Melissa

        I noticed that too.

  2. Amy

    Collin,
the Revlon FB coupon isn’t available anymore, just as a heads up! 🙂

    • Collin

Oh darn… thanks for the heads up, though!

      • Mila

I found $2/1 peelies on the Revlon Lustrous lipsticks on Saturday night. I had to dig through, but I found five and they don’t expire till 9/5/2011. Used them without any problems.

  3. Ling

there’s a $3 off rimmel lash accelerator mascara available in the Oct. All You mag. not free but good enough deal if you want and need this mascara.

    • Collin

Sweet! I didn’t realize that. I’ll update the post! Thanks much! 🙂

  4. Christi

I did have a quick question when do Sunday ECB kick in on Saturday? I bought something last week and didn’t print out my bucks it was around 8 in the evening. Also it was a 24 hr CVS if that matters. Thanks again

    • AM

It varies. My CVS doesn’t start deals until midnight on saturday

    • Krystal

Depends on if they’ve activated the sale (if they have the new sale signs out, odds are they have), also depends if the item was on sale that week. The computer most times goes with whatever it feels is the better deal, so one of those 2 reason is probably why.

    • Elizabeth

I don’t think 24 hour stores start their sales early. In other words, if it’s a 24 hour store the Sunday ad prices will be available at midnight. If it’s a non-24 hour store they usually start their Sunday ad prices sometime on Saturday. Hope that helps.

      • Julie

My store is 24 hours and you can shop both Sat/Sun ads on Sat evening. I am not sure if all stores are alike or have their own policies.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

not sure if this helps either but i went to walgreens once and she told me the sunday sales will ring up on saturday night, so i got all my stuff, and my RR didnt print. it was THEN that she decided to tell me that yes the sale prices were active but the RR would not print until sunday… … … …i was FUMING!!!

          • Meridith

I went to 3 CVS’s today and nobody had the toothbrushes. I was at all 3 before 9 AM. They gave me rainchecks at all 3. Mom can use her CVS card to get 2 and my sis can too. I asked at one about the Sat sales. He told me they are activated at 3 on Saturdays, but the ECB’s don’t print until Sun. I was told at all 3 stores that this was a new product and hadn’t made it to shelves yet??

  5. Linda

I did next week’s CVS shopping this morning. I wanted the Oral-B Vitality Rechargeable Toothbrush for FREE…..well the CVS ad for the toothbrush is for the Oral-B Vitality Floss Action. I went to 7 CVS stores and found 3. Since I was also shopping for another family member, I was able to purchase 2 for myself and 1 for my sister. These toothbrushes are new and the store managers have not gotten them in to stock the shelves. Hopefully, this week’s stock delivery will bring more to my area. My other sister wants one. I found this out the hard way…when the machine didn’t give me my ECBs, I was told the Oral-B Vitality Rechargeable was not the same as the Oral-B Vitality Floss Action.

    • Laury

So how much did you spend for the Floss action?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It was on sale for $23. I gave them the $10 coupon and got $13 in ECBs = FREE

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I forgot to mention… I live in a rural area and the weekly paper comes out on Wed. with the P&G coupons. So once a month I can shop at the drug stores with coupons most people don’t have yet. EXCITING

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was able to get one Oral-B Vitality Dual Clean for $23. I gave them the $10 coupon and when my receipt printed – no ECB. They overrode the system and printed them anyway. They had one of the toothbrushes on the floor (which is the one I was able to get) and none in the stockroom. I was able to get a raincheck. Hopefully they get more in before my $10 coupon expires!

      • Behki

if you have a rain check they will still honor the coupon even if it expires 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was able to get one of those too. she wouldn’t let me have the other because it wasn’t the one advertised. should get a raincheck.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Where did you guys get the coupons? Sorry I’m a tad clueless

      • Voahangy

I went to 2 CVS and none of them had any. so disappointed.

  6. Nicole

The Dawn Hand Renewal is $0.96 this week so if you have those $1.00 coupons from the Home Made Simple booklet (i think) that came in the mail, then they would be free.

    • Lucy

Oh I have a bunch of those! Thanks for the heads up.

  7. Ashley

Yummm! I love snickers, and I love great deals!

  8. kim

I am new to couponing and having a problem with printing—sometimes a coupon will print—no problem, but other times it prints a solid black page—any thoughts or suggestions? this has only happened when I have tryed to print coupons— never seen this before on any other document–weird!

  9. farmvet

If you happen to get “Baby Talk” magazine, the Sept issue has a $2/1 ANY Tide Stain Release coupon. I got a free subscription and they just gave me another copy at ToysRUs the other day. Glad I didn’t toss it!

  10. Mitch

I always make out very well with CVS, between emailed coupons and other specials. Last week I used the free cookies with purchase of mlilk and cookies coupon, and they took my Nabisco $1 off! When they deduct the free pack, they deduct the full price, not the sale price so I paid $.41 for 2 bags of Nabisco cookies that retail for $9.18! I love this store!
    thanks for this weekly update!

  11. Britnie Vassal

I just saw a commercial for a mail in rebate on Oral B power toothbrushes. Has anyone else seen this? I was hoping we would be able to use it with the deal mentioned above.

    • Linda

The Oral-B on sale is not eligible based on the information on their website.

  12. Couponin'ferDudes

OK, I may be the olny guy looking at this website, but it is pretty cool to get free stuff. I just think the deal scenario with the Tampax and Iron Man CD is about the funniest post yet…but hey, if it’s free, it’s free….

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Haha- hadn’t thought about it from a guys p.o.v. – too funny!

    • tiffany

Yeah, that scenario is pretty funny but it’s the best one to do for the DVD!!! I’m totally excited about that deal!! LOL

    • Liz

Hey, I’m sure every guy out there knows at least one lady whose in need of some tampons! If not, there are always shelters that would be glad to take them off your hands.

    • manyhats0211

lol my hubby is like hey whatever it takes to get that dvd.. he will buy the store up!!! a deal is a deal… i had to giggle when i saw it too

    • Elizabeth

Only thing is on the Tampax coupon it says ‘limit 4 of like coupons in same transaction’ in the fine print on the coupon. I noticed all the coupons in the PG insert said that

      • Alissa

It looks like the P&G items do NOT have to be purchased all in one transaction. It was keeping track on the bottom of my receipt when I just bought one item today. So you could technically do more than one transaction with all 9 coupons or go to more than one store. Hope that helps!

    • kjarcollins

Oh, I noticed that, too! That was a great laugh for my day, Collin–tampons and Iron Man!

  13. CJ

Last week my CVS said they were out of the free charm but the charm coupon could be used for $2.49 off any beauty item instead. I’ll try to use it tomorrow. I’d rather get $2.49 off than the charm anyway!

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How are u guys getting 9 2/1 tampons? Do you buy 9 newspapers??? I’m def going to buy 2 newspapers tomorrow since the oral b is limit of 2, so I want 2 of those $10/1 coupons..but I don’t think I want to buy 9 newspapers for the iron man deal..?

    • eli o.

you can buy these coupons on ebay, if you don’t want to buy all the newpapers. I’ve bought several on-line and they ship same day if you pay early in the morning.

      • Elizabeth Washburn

Some people get 4-8 newpapers delivered and because you can use coupons from two different inserts it makes it easier. I get 4 delivered to my house so I will just go buy an extra at the $1 store.

    • Cammie

We buy two of the local newspaper and two of the San Francisco Chronicle every Sunday morning! The Chronicle is $1.5 more a paper, but there are WAY more coupons in it, so it’s always more than worth it.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I didn’t even realize but I did buy over $15 worth of beauty (the 6 revlon lipsticks that ended up being FREE) but when I got to the register the woman scanned my free charm coupon and pointed and said they are over there you can pick one on your way out..and I did..BUT she never scanned it, so I got the charm free plus it took $2.49 my other items.

  16. Micaela

If the Iron Man DVD is purchased in the same transaction, will the 15 dollars automatically come off, or do you need to buy the tampons first and it will print a 15 dollar off coupon?

    • mary

It automatically comes off as long as you buy the tampons & movie on or after Tuesday when the movie is released. If you buy the tampons before the movie is released it will print out a coupon that will be good for $15 off. At least that’s the way it worked in the past. Haven’t done one of these movies deals in quite a while.

  17. Olivia Smith

Wow- definitely going to CVS this week!! I love the deal on the Tampax and Iron Man!! I will definitely do that one and get the toothbrush and snickers (what a combination). Thanks!!

  18. Holly Meeker

I’m so extremely excited about the deals I’m going to get at CVS this week! I just hope that I can get the toothbrushes before everyone else does…LOL! I was so worried about not getting the toothbrushes, I called CVS and asked if they would hold two for me and they would hold one. I’m grateful for whatever deals they can help me get! 🙂 Thank you so much Collin!!!!!

    • A.D.

You can also get a raincheck if their out and then when you do buy it, they will manually print the ECBs for you…

  19. Melissa

Maybe a dumb question……does anyone know how the Green Dot prepaid Visa/Mastercards work (in the ad this week)? I see they are $4.95 and you get $3ecb back. So, are the cards preloaded with $4.95 on them or is that a surcharge for the card and them you load the amount you request on them? Thanks! 🙂

Also, I on my receipt this week I saw a note that said summer quarterly ecbs will begin printing on our receipts 10/1, FYI! 🙂

    • Olivia Smith

      Hi Melissa-

I am assuming that they are like a visa gift card. The $4.95 is usually a surcharge for loading a value onto the card.

      HTH
      Olivia

  20. Terah

Was just at CVS and the fun size bags of M&M’s had $.50 peel off coupons … making it $5 for 4 bags of M&M’s after ECB. If you are going for candy, keep an eye out for the peel off coupons 🙂

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was going to do the Olay deal today but my CVS has the eye roller priced at 23.99 and the coupon for the free one says up to 19.99 value. That doesn’t seem right to me.
Have any of you run into this problem?
I live in the Dallas area.

    • Noelle

Lisa, my area is more expensive than others so my Walgreens has some things priced a little higher. If it matters (like in this case), I just check other Walgreens further away from me and usually find the price I want.

  22. Mila

Keep an eye out for $2/1 peelies on Revlon lustrous lipsticks. I went into CVS and saw them on five lipsticks. I had to dig around. The peelies are red and don’t expire till 9/5/2011!!

  23. DP

    @ Collin,

Not that it matters, but isn’t the charm a $2.49 value?

  24. Rhonda

So for the Iron Man 2 DVD deal, it says buy $25 worth of P&G products. Would the Oral-B toothbrush count towards the $25 since it is a P&G product?

    • Olivia Smith

According to the ad, you receive $15 off of the DVD when you spend $25 on the P&G products pictured in the area surrounding.

  25. Gaby

Check in the clearance section! I found 2 sets of Rubbermaid take along containers for 50 cents…making them FREE with the $1/2 Q!! YAY I love free containers 🙂

  26. Julieanne28

I did not see the ECB deal for HP ink cartridges listed. In my area’s ad if you buy 2 HP ink cartridges you get $10 ECB.

  27. Bonnie

Question. On the $23 Oral B toothbrush, there is a limit of two. If you do this deal twice, don’t you reach the $25 or more on P&G items? Would that not qualify you for the $15.00 off the Iron Man DVD really without spending the money? Plus, if you spend $20, you can use the $4 off $20 that prints at the machine making the toothbrush $9.00 after the ECBs. ($23 for toothbrush minus the $10 coupon, minus $13 ECB, minus $4 off $20.) That makes this a $4.00 moneymaker for me both times and a DVD for $4.99, unless the (2) $23 toothbrushes doesn’t count towards $25 P&G. Has anyone done this deal twice and gotten the coupon for the DVD? It should show the the level towards your $25 worth of P&G at the bottom of your receipt.

    • rose

No, its only on the Selected products listed on the back page.of the ad. So the Oral B tb won’t qualify.
Also, and I could be mistaken, but you don’t get a coupon for the movies anymore. You have to spend the $25 and buy the movie in 1 transaction now. So you’d have to wait until Tues to do the deal.

      • Bonnie

Shucks! Knew it was too good to be true. Wish I would read ‘all’ the details, lol! Thanks Rose!

      • AMY

maybe depend on the store, but my ad says if you buy the amount of pg thru monday you get a coupon for the movie, otherwise tues thru sat is 15 off the movie in the same transaction

    • Bridget

The policy is that it will print on your receipt. I have already done the deal and have the coupon ready for the movie to come out.

      • rose

Yes, you are right. I didn’t get my paper til late and didn’t read the fine print until then, that you do get a coupon if you purchase on Sun or Mon. Its been a very long time since I’ve done a movie deal, so the last time I did one, the ad said the discount would start on Tuesday.

  28. nancy1191

FYI–I went to two CVSs in the Detroit suburbs for the Oral-B. The last one was VERY helpful. She called 4 other stores, none of them had the product. She offered and gave me a raincheck, trucks are due in the area on Tuesday. Was told to call first and make sure they are there. No expiration on the raincheck but I don’t know if the extra bucks will be available after this week.

    • Rhonda

Yes they will. Anytime you get a raincheck on an item that has ECB’s the manager will issue you them when it comes in.

      • Anonymous

YES THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE EXTRA BUCKS IF THE CASHIER DOES NOT KNOW YOU MAY HAVE TO HAVE THEM CALL A MGR. I USUALLY SAVE THE INSERT IF I HAD TO GET A RAINCHECK BECAUSE IT HELPS THEM GET THE INFO NEEDED TO PROCESS YOUR RAINCHECK (EVENT CODE ETC.) I HOPE THIS HELPS

    • Barbie

I am only willing to drive to one CVS in my area and they had exactly two of the toothbrushes, which I bought. Very glad, since two of my kids had wanted these type toothbrushes for a long time.

    • Deb

      The rainck isn;t the problem.
Our P&G Q’s expire 10/31-not much time to keep checking the store, along woth 50 bazillion others left out in the cold 🙁

    • MommyPants

whenever i’ve gotten rain checks they’ve been also giving me the ECB but make sure they write it on there!! That is really great as Walgreens doesn’t raincheck any RR, just the sale prices. I’m really liking CVS lately!! I never used to shop there before.

  29. Ashleigh

You CAN buy the $25 P&G products TODAY and you will get a coupon which prints out on your receipt for $15 off the Ironman 2 dvd which is being released on Tuesday. It worked for me this morning.

  30. Tisha in SC

I found the Oral B toothbrushes on clearance at my store this morning. They were priced @ $11.49 less $10 coupon. Made them $1.49 each but I bought 2 @11.49 each. I used my $4 off $20 CVS coupon & only paid 12 cents oop. Got a total of $26 in ecb’s back. AWESOME TRIP!

    • Lighthousefam

Did you get the ECB’s for the one’s on clearance?? That’s awesome!

  31. Sfrank

Did anyone else get shorted ALL the coupons from the Chicago Tribune this morning? I bought mine in central Illinois at the CVS store and even though the inserts were prepackaged in plastic there were NO coupon inserts. What a waste of $2!

    • Crystal

      Yes! I got shorted too!!!

      • Jen

That happened to me in NW Indiana a couple of months ago. Not only did none of the papers have the inserts, when I *did* find some with inserts, they were the ones from the previous week! The entire plastic-wrapped section was from the week before. I emailed them a complaint, but never received a response. I would have called, but couldn’t find a number.

  32. Deb

Hope some of you have better luck than I did-went last night to get my Oral B tb’s and NONE in my store! This morning I went to a diff one & the mgr sold me a different one & forced the ECB. He said their store never got them in!!!

    RAINCHECK!!!

  33. Melissa

So sad, none of the CVS stores in my town has the OralB toothbrush in stock. =( . Have to wait until thursday’s shipment. I found the old style of the OralB Vitality toothbrush on clearance at Riteaid for $11.99. I bought the only 2 they had. Not so bad, I will still get in on the deal at CVS though.

    • Lighthousefam

If they carry them, but not in stock, just get a rain check. They will still give you ECB’s for it. This is the one time I’m doing a rain check since I can’t go shopping till late in the week and I know they will be gone.

  34. Mr. Free

So get this………… I was told the Oral B were not stocked as they do not have a locked case and the people who live in the area steal everything. I was told to go somewhere else they will not order. Meanwhile my .75 tuna had metal sensors on it and when it beeped I was told its ok you can go??? I guess lots of tuna theifs too…………

  35. Ronni

I guess I was one of the lucky ones….there were about 15 – 20 of the Oral B toothbrushes in my store!

  36. Nancy

There is also a $5 off coupon for the Swiffer Starter Kit in the Home Made Simple coupon book. Making the deal 3.99 for the starter kit and refill.

    • Amanda

the $5.00 off coup is for sweeper Vac

  37. Hockeymom

    Collin,
    I went to CVS this morning and bought 4 Oral B, CrossAction toothbrushes. I used two BOGO Qs and one $4 CVS Q, the total I paid $3.15 ($2.99 each x 4 = $11.96 – $2.99 (BOGO) – $2.99 (BOGO) – $4 CVS Q + $1.17 Tax). But no $5 ECB printed out. Why?
Did any try the same toothbrushe yet? I though if you buy $10+ then get $5 ECB. Did I do any mistake at all?

    • Jen

I did that deal with one tooth brush that was not the “For Me” variety. When it only printed $5 ECB, I looked at the summary on the receipt, and it had not counted that one different tooth brush. I believe the deal is only on the “For Me” stuff.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for replied. May I know the UPC and price if the toothbrush you bought? Is it the Oral-B CrossAction?

  38. Tricia

Our store did not carry that tooth brush. My husband found an Oral B Vitality and he thought that was the one but it was not. The manager came over and manually printed 13 ecb for him for buying the other one. Going to try some other stores in the area tuesday and see if we can get any more.

  39. natalie

I used 4 of the $3 off tide stain release today, I know coupon says larger size but this is the second time its worked for me so got 4 bottles for 99 cent each today

    • rose

just b/c it scans doesn’t make it right 😉

      • Shannon Schellenberg

Amen to that! I was at CVS the other day, and there appeared to be fellow couponer (she had the “binder”). She put 4 Febreeze air fresheners on the counter and gave the cashier a rain check for the Airwick deal which was a few weeks ago. I had a rain check too, but they were all out of Airwick. The cashier scanned all her Febreeze coupons and pushed it through with no problem! My jaw just dropped. I thought surely she had to know what she was doing, but it was frustrating that she used all those coupons, and it wasn’t even the right product. Tends to ruin it for the rest of us….. 🙁

  40. Sarah

My CVS ad says the tampax pearl tampons have $14 of coupons inside. Has anybody gotten a package with coupons inside? If so, what were they?

  41. Kelly O'Donnell

My CVS didn’t have the Oral B toothbrush either. I am going to write to corporate. I am tired of them always advertising items that the stores do not have. Neither of the CVS near me ever even got ANY in. Of course I got the rain-checks but the point is that they shouldn’t advertise something before they properly stock the stores. Maybe if enough people complain then they will work on this.

    • Diane L.

My store (North Dakota) didn’t have them in stock either. The cashier said they might get some on Tuesday, but she wasn’t sure.

  42. ashleigh

My CVS suddenly has a new employee working on Sunday mornings and he is not friendly and not helpful !! The guy before him was SO nice and was so willing to help us couponers. Boo to Jac at CVS on the corner of Wade Hampton/Suber Rd in Greer, SC.

  43. Michelle

I checked CVS tonight while shopping and the Crest Pro Health for me toothpaste is $3.79 each, and the Oral B Pro Health for me toothbrushes are $4.99. They didn’t have any rinse. I did get a $2.00 off $6.00 any toothpaste, but they only had 2 and I would have needed 3 to get the $5.00 ECB. Fortunately, they did have the FREE toothbrushes in stock!

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went and got 2 toothbrushes and got $26 ECBs. I kind of like having smaller amounts of ECBs but I will use it either for Xmas or for groceries one week. I am so excited to have the toothbrushes. All the CVSs are out here.

  45. Shelly

My CVS didn’t have any of the Oral-B toothbrushes or the Pro Health for Me stuff. They said they never got any of that, but the did give me a rain check for the toothbrush. Once I went to Wal-Mart and ad matched on a CVS ad and they gave me an ad match for the price after extra bucks. I wonder if they can really do that or if that cashier didn’t know any better. I am going to call and find out and if they will do it I will go there and get several of the toothbrushes free after coupons!

  46. Amber

Is the halloween candy not advertised or am I just missing something? The prices in my ad match but there is no mention of any extra bucks…. I didnt know CVS had regional ads too? Mine have always been the same…

  47. Yami

I did the nexxus deal, had $4off/$20 coupon plus 2 $3off any nexxus from the facebook offer a while ago. Paid around $11 including taxes got $10 back that I used to buy the oral b advantage. I also used the $10 off coupon from P&G total $4 OOP plus got $13 in rewards back. yey!! 🙂 btw there was only one Oral B advantage available.

  48. Turboturtle_8

MY CVS didn’t have any of the Oral-B rechargables or the For Me products…very disappointed 🙁 NOt to mention that I went Saturday night to get some last minute deals (Revlon Lustrious) and the locked the doors 15 minutes before closing time!!! I was shocked! Good thing I didn’t need something more important!
