Hip2Save Taste Testing Challenge AND Giveaway: 20 Readers Win $20 Soap.com Vouchers! Expired
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Tuesday, September 28th, 2010 at 4:17 pm.
Below, you will find a list of all 6 of the products that I will be sampling in Part II of my Taste Testing Adventure video (to be broadcast on Hip2Save next Monday, October 4th)– you can see the first part of this video here. To make this a little more fun, I am asking you to make some predictions of your own. The first 20 Hip2Save readers to correctly choose which products below that I believe are the name brand products during my blind taste testing session will each win a $20 voucher to Soap.com!
For example, in the upcoming video, I will be blindly taste testing both Kraft Macaroni & Cheese AND the generic version. To participate in this giveaway, you must write down whether you believe that I will correctly choose Kraft Mac & Cheese as the name brand or whether I will actually choose that the generic version is indeed the name brand (you will need to do this for all 6 of the products listed below).
Note: You must be one of the first 20 Hip2Save readers to leave a comment correctly guessing if I am going to choose the name brand or generic brand for all 6 items listed below. Your comment should look something like this…
1. Name Brand
2. Name Brand
3. Generic
4. Name Brand
5. Generic
6. Generic
Here is a list of the items I will be blindly taste testing in the upcoming video:
(1) Kraft Macaroni & Cheese (in the box) versus Generic
(2) Honey Maid Graham Crackers versus Generic
(3) Wheat Thins versus Generic
(4) Oreos versus Generic
(5) Yoplait yogurt versus Generic
(6) Hershey’s Chocolate Bars versus Generic
*Once 20 readers have guessed correctly on all 6 products, I will expire the giveaway and announce the winners! Good Luck!

Walgreens: $0.25 Goya Beans AND My Deals!
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Tuesday, September 28th, 2010 at 2:14 pm.
You can score a pretty sweet deal on Goya Bean at Walgreens this week….
*Buy 6 15 oz Goya Canned beans
Use the Goya Canned Bean 15.5 oz 2/$1 Walgreens coupon found here
Plus, use 2 $0.75/3 coupons found here

(Thanks, Dana!)
Also, check out the bargains I scored at Walgreens…
I spent ONLY $2.34 on all the above (which includes tax)…
Every Tuesday, my local Walgreens offers up a 15% Military discount on all purchases, so I always try to shop on Tuesday’s. Today I purchased 2 Pantene Restore Beautiful Lengths products for a total of $1.50 (which includes the 15% off Military discount). You can check out all the details on this deal here. I then did a second transaction purchasing two Gillette body wash products on sale for $2.99, but after the $2/1 coupon from the 8/29 PG and the 15% military discount, only $0.54 each. Plus, I purchased a few punch balloons from the toy section (my kiddos love these things) as “filler” items so that I could use the $2 Register Reward I earned from the Pantene deal. My final cost for the second transaction– ONLY $0.84! Gotta LOVE Walgreens!
And the Giveaway Winners are…
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Tuesday, September 28th, 2010 at 1:19 pm.

The giveaway winners are listed below and will be contacted via email later today with further instructions. Please do NOT email me if you have specific questions related to the giveaways; instead, you can email bryn@hip2savedotcom (if you are a winner, I strongly encourage you to add the email address bryn@hip2savedotcom to your contacts or to be sure to check your spam folder as some readers have discovered the giveaway email in their spam folder). Thanks!
Please rest assured that all winners are chosen completely at random via a built-in system that randomly selects a set number of winners from each giveaway post. However, once the winners are selected, I review the comment that each winner left to be sure that the required question was answered (i.e state your favorite product over at ______). If the winner failed to answer the required question, then another randomly selected entrant is deemed the winner. I also keep a database of all the winner’s email addresses…this enables me to be sure that the same reader cannot win a giveaway more than once in a 30 day period. Hope this information helps to clarify some of your questions…if you still have questions related to the selection of winners etc, please email bryn@hip2savedotcom. Thanks!
