not a very exciting week at cvs huh?

    • Xenia

nope. Btw t-brush rebate states 50% AFTER coupons 😉 might still worth it tho, but i ll skip it

      • Nichole

I think I will still try the toothbrush though because the $30 will not count as a coupon. Also, they shouldn’t count the EB’s you use. I think I will still give it a try. 🙂

  2. Amy

Two weeks ago was so good that I’ve expected it to be lame for awhile. Seems as if I am right based on this week and last week.

  3. rose

Next weeks ad isn’t any better. There’s usually a lull at the drug stores right before Black Friday. Deals should start getting better after that….I Hope!

    • Selene

How did you see deals from 2 weeks later?

      • Lindsey

Slickdeals.net – go to forums, then drugstore deals. They have ad previews for a few weeks in advance. HTH

        • rose

          I check iheartcvs.com (she also runs iheartriteaid.com & iheartwags.com)

  4. Ebony

plus CVS just settled a huge lawsuit. I figured they wouldnt be giving away too many deals/freebies for the rest of the quarter.

  5. rose

    On the Aveeno, don’t forget theres a $10 rebate wyb $30 @ beautyforallages.com

But I am confused on the wording. It says buy $30 or more worth of products from 3 or more of the following brands in a single transaction. Does that mean I have to buy 1 of each of say Aveeno, Lubriderm & Clean & Clear as long as its $30 worth? OR that I can buy $30 worth of Aveeno as long as I buy 3 or more products??

    • fran

According to what you wrote, I would think you have to purchase at least 3 different products. If you have any of the items on hand, you could look on the container for a toll free number, and you could call them to verify exactly what it means.

      • rose

I have the 800#, but CS is only open Mon – Fri, so I’ll have to call on Monday. Only downside is I have a $5/25 email coupon that expires tomorrow. None of the stores I shop take anything expired (ecb, $/$$, store coupons), so I’d have to buy the stuff tomorrow. I don’t use anything on the list except for the Aveeno though.

        • fran

Then just purchase all Aveeno and when you call CS service explain that to them this is all you use, and maybe they will make an exception. If not, return the items.

          • Tanya N

I believe you have to buy at least 3 products from at least 3 different brands: I purchased one of each Aveeno, Clean & Clear, and ROC products and qualified for the rebate.

    • Nicole

I thnk the rebate form is no longer available to print. and i was one of those people that tried to print it twice with other coupons so was not able to try printing it alone once i realized that what you had to do. Anyone have an extra rebate form they want to give me please!?! 🙂

    • Kristen

I just got my check in the mail yesterday for the rebate! I mailed it off on 9/23/10. I bought the ageless vitality kit, which after the $10 off coupon, came to $29.99. I was worried it wouldn’t qualify, but it did! That’s all I bought. Hope that helps you.

    • Susan

I did this rebate from the summer and they denied it because I hadn’t spent the full 25$. I am sure that I did before coupons, but they must have used the after coupon amount. Just a heads up.

  6. mary

There’s been a lull at CVS for at least a year now, LOL. The deals don’t seem to be nearly as good as they were before IMO. I used to receive $10/50 coupons frequently & I have not received one of those coupons in quite some time. The deals were sweet when you could combine the $10/50 with the FAECB items.

    • kate

i’m so proud of myself that i could figure out what FAECB stood for. now i am a true couponer! 🙂

    • Tanya N

I’ve been getting a $4 off $20 coupon just about every time I scan my card….I am very happy with CVS right now. Hopefully we’ll see better deals around Black Friday and Christmas…like last year.

    • Krystal

I rememember years ago when the limit on things was like 6 instead of just 1. And that was on completely free things. If anyone remember Softsoap being free after bucks….yeah…I still have some of that and I’m still giving some of it away! But geez, times are rough all around they can’t be doing how they used to do. Same goes with any company.

      • Selene

Man, I missed the good times! I didn’t start shopping at CVS until last year. So I am still pretty new.

    • Lola

This year hasn’t been bad. I have been able to get a ton of $4 off of 20 and the recent one was $5 off of $15. I have been able to roll on average about $10 ECB each time and get $10 back if not more each week.

      • ann

Wow, I wonder why you get so many $4 off $20. I’ve only had one. Do you shop really frequently? Do you think that is why. I go at least weekly.

  7. tiffany

Not great. Looks like a good couple of weeks to hold onto those ECB’s.

  8. Jessica

    what is FAECB?

  9. Amy

yeah what is FACECB and thank god for rite aid and their new up reward program

  10. Tanya N

FAECB: Free After Extra Care Bucks

  11. Stacy

I was really hoping Collin would find a hidden deal I hadn’t seen. Guess I’ll roll ECB’s on AZO this week. 🙂

    • Selene

      What is AZO?

      • fran

It’s a feminine itch product. I believe it’s a monthly deal. Click “CVS” on the top right of hip’s home page, and look under this week’s CVS deals, and you will find it.

    • Julie

I thought it was just me….I was able to get a lot of candy and snack items, but I keep looking out for the good deals and haven’t really seen any lately.

  12. Mitch

Disappointing week for me. Just as welll, I have no more room in the house for CVS shopping!
I am stuffed to the gills here!
    thanks
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

  13. Selene

I am concerned! I have over $20 of ECB expiring on 10/26/10. I don’t really want to spend them on things that are not deals because the regular CVS prices are horribly high.

    • Amy

Check with your store to see if they accept expired ECBs. Mine accepts expired CVS coupons and I’m pretty sure expired ECBs too. Just a thought……….

    • Lindsey

Most stores accept expired ECBs. So you shouldn’t worry 🙂

    • Tina

Use the ECB’s on a $20 item and then use your receipt to return it. They will give you a store credit.

    • Kenya

My CVS takes ECB’s for 2 weeks (14 days) after expiration. Maybe yours will too!!

  14. Kristi

has anyone else recieved 20% coupons in the mail or @ the coupon machine I have gotten 4 recently. wondering if it’s just by accident!

  15. Linda

Hidden $1 off milk coupon for skim milk!!!

So I went to CVS today to use one of my ECB, and hoped they had a good deal going on milk. Well, they had a deal going on 1% milk, where you could get $2 ECB if you bought Dean’s 1% milk for $2.79. I was sad when there wasn’t a deal on skim milk. I bought it anyway, and got a $1 ECB! $1.79 or milk here in Illinois is a pretty good deal, so I was happy.

    • Kate

Are milk ECBs regional? I’ve never seen signs on our milk in NY

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

its in the sale ad in texas – milk one gallon pay 2.99 get 1$ ECB – limit 2

  16. erin

In my Sept. All You mag. where the coupons are listed in the front it says $2.00 off Glade Scented Oil refill pg. 101, but when I go to pg.101 it’s for $1 off…anyone else have the same problem? Has anyone contacted them about stuff like this before?

  17. Jata

Back in 9/26 there was a deal for Oral B Floss Action toothbrush with $13 ECB, for the past month I have been going to CVS (2 of them) everyweek and never seem to have them in stock, so I finally called CVS on Thursday to complain and the CS took down my name, phone number and the store I normally goes to and told me the store will give me a call when they have the item in stock. Well this morning (Sat) I got a call from the local CVS and told me they have one on hold for me!

I am really impress with their customer service and I am going to call back CVS and praise for their job well done.

  18. Lorine Edwards

wow..maybe I should do that! I’m still waiting for that toothbrush!

  19. Donna Mc.

    >>>1 Neutrogena Triple Moisture split end mender 3oz $7.49 = $7.49 Ecb (limit 1)

I completely forgot to get this on my trip today. Does anyone know if it was only for this past week, or if it will run this week as well?

    • emily

Yeah, it’s an all month thing i think.

    • Kate

emily does not sound super sure. Can anyone else verify this deal as a monthly one?

  20. teresa

The article said ‘they wiped out shelves’…doesnt sound like law breakers just real couponers??

  21. Amanda M

I have been looking for the vitality toothbrush as well. Maybe there finally back in stock now. I have been checking two stores every week to no avail! I should have done what you did and called cs.

  22. Helen

Went to CVS this morning for the two bags of Halloween candy for $4.00 and when I printed out my CVS coupons, there was $1.00 coupon for purchasing two bags of candy, therefore…….got two bags for $3.00. Bargain. Glad I bought the candy I like.

  23. Amanda

Be sure to ask your CVS cashier about the new “Greenbagtag”! I just purchased mine last night. You can buy the “Greenbagtag” for one dollar and $1 Extra Buck will print on your receipt every 4th visit. All you have to do is bring a reusable bag when you make a purchase and swipe your ExtraCare card and Greenbagtag. This is limited to once per day. Pretty sweet if you ask me =)

    • Nona

the green bag tag has been out for a year…it isnt that new.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My CVS gave me a hard time one time because I only brought in one reusable bag with the tag on it and not all my groceries fit in it and they had to give me a CVS bag for the extra items (which were cold/wet and I didn’t want them with the other items anyways). I try to bring in more than one, but that time I only had one with me.

  24. Kristen

I just went to CVS and purchased the Bayer Contour. Before I left, I was reading what the ad says and it states “No discounts apply.” I didn’t know if that applied to the $10 coupon in the RP from 8/8, but I brought it with me anyway. The cashier scanned it and the machine beeped. It didn’t take the coupon! She overrode it, but I don’t know if the machine did that because it wasn’t supposed to. Just thought I would let anyone know who might try this deal.

  25. Cynthia

Anyone have any idea how to get the Bayer Meter rebate? It’s advertised in the CVS circular but not sure where to find the info. Thanks!

    • Emily

I have the same question. There isn’t a rebate form inside the box, and I haven’t been able to find anything online.

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My cashiers have always been happy to scan my green bag tag as long as I bring in one bag with me, even if it’s a plastic one. I’m reusing something, so that achieves the purpose of the green bag tag.

  27. Shari

Hey, I have been to all of the CVs stores in my area, finally purchased two of the Oral-B rechargeable toothbrushes but the boxes do not have the $50 reabte offer. Is there any way to still get the rebate? I will have to take them back if I cannot find a rebate form… 🙁 My area stores are out, low or have non-marked boxes of these toothbrushes and I’d really like to keep them but not for $60 a piece! (even after $10 coupon each and the $60 ECB it’s still $60 each!)

  28. Michelle

My CVS (TX) is running a deal this week on 8 packs of Bounty Basic paper towels for $5.97. I have a $1 off coupon for a P&G coupon book that doesn’t expire until 11/30/10. Is this a good deal or should I wait?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Its an ok deal. I like getting paper towel for 50 cents a roll. For 8 rolls that would be $4. I wouldnt stock up but buying 1 pack at $4.97 is good.

  29. RNcarrie

Schick Quattro Titanium razors are priced at $4.99 at CVS. These are $13+ razors. Use the $2/1 coupon (not sure from what ad but recently) and that bring them down to $2.99!! Great stocking stuffers.

  30. RNcarrie

And for anyone interested in the Axe body wash coupon deal. If you have a Martins Grocery store around Axe is on sale for 2 for $6. So if you use the Axe BOGO free coupon, you are paying $2.99 for both Axe items. I bought the Axe shower gel and the detailer sponge. Again…great stocking stuffer!
