Family Time and Rite Aid Update…
First, I am writing this post as I sit in a hotel room in Portland, Oregon with my wonderful mom, sisters and grandma. We’ve had a rare day to spend together in celebration of my mom’s birthday. As you can see from the picture above, we’ve had a very relaxing day that included a trip to the movie theatre, followed by pedicures at a local Portland salon and will end with dinner on the river.
With that being said, time with my family means time away from the computer and Hip2Save. I just sat down to glance at the comments on the recent posts and noticed that many of you have mentioned issues using the $5/$25 Rite Aid PDF coupons that were available to print and download as recently as last week. It appears that many of you have been unable to use these coupons as they are beeping at the registers. In addition, the coupons are no longer available to download/print which leads me to believe that Rite Aid does not want them to be used. For this reason, I have updated the Rite Aid weekly deals post and updated any deal scenarios that originally included the $5/$25 coupon. Sorry for the confusion and hopefully I’ll get to the bottom of these issues soon.
I’m headed back home tomorrow morning at 5AM (yuck!). Thanks to all you Portland readers who met me for dinner last night… we had a great time, so stay tuned for pictures this coming week. Collin, i have been trying for the last week to use my Video Values acount and nothing is working for me!! every time i have clicked on any video is says that the video is not available try another. but i have tried a bunch and none will come up!!!! has any one else had this prob? wat could i do??

I had the same problem until today. Maybe try one more time..? I don’t know why it was doing that. I’ve tried for at least two weeks. Today, magically, after a few failed attempts, it worked. FINALLY! 8o}
You could try one more thing. I had that for a long time, like 2 months or more (yeah, annoying, missed deals too). I click on one, it says not available or something like that, try another. I try another, and it says the same thing. I finally asked my computer whiz husband and it turns out, Firefox was blocking it for whatever reason. It wasn’t blocked a few months ago, but suddenly it was. He added it to the safe list or whatever it is called and it works now. You could try that.
Also, the $5/$25 with expiration of 10/31/10 no longer works either. I tried to use one yesterday beeped (very loudly) at me. I still got a great deal without it, but would have been sweeter with it. OH well…. 🙂
Sounds like you guys had a wonderful time!! I really enjoyed your holiday recipes post over this weekend. So many great recipes to choose from. I love the recipe swap idea!! Hopefully we can do this again later on. 🙂

That picture reminds me of last spring when I traveled to Portland to meet my two sisters! We also went to a local spa together, for facials. I wonder if it was the same one? Oh, there’s just nothing like spending time together with sisters!
So Glad you get your family time! Time spent with my daughter, daughter in law, grand daughters and Sister are awesome, and I have a great mom in law too.. thats a great photo!
