There’s a $.99 shipping charge! How do you avoid that? Or can you?

Wow, too bad it’s not like Groupon where you don’t actually have to live there to get in on most deals. I tried going to a couple of the various cities, and it says valid only at those metro locations. Bummed in VA.
It would be nice if like Groupon, you print the confirmation letter with numbered bar code to have it scanned at the store to be used. With the bar code it wouldn’t be easy to photo copy to reuse, if that was a concern to them.
$25 GC for $20 is nice, but not the $.99 shipping charge. Really, not worth it for me.

It was concerning to go through most of the information – including putting in my credit card information, just to have the whole thing reset and jump back to the first page. Now, I’m afraid to try again with my credit card 🙁

I called City Deals and as long as your state is listed, no matter the city, you can still use it. They just send you a national gift card just like the one pictured.
