RecycleBank + Kashi = High Value Coupons
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Wednesday, October 27th, 2010 at 5:53 pm.

RecycleBank partners with cities and haulers to reward households for recycling. Currently, you can earn 25 RecycleBank points just for signing up here (this offer is good for NEW registrants only). Plus, you can score an additional 50 points after signing up. Just go here and join the RecycleBank Ebay Green Team. After doing so, 50 points will almost instantly be credited to your account!
You can use your points to purchase high value coupons for groceries and/or discounts at online stores. After signing in, click on the “Get Rewards” tab and you’ll be able to start scrolling through the rewards they have available on the left hand side. You can use 50 of your points to score a $3 off ANY one Kashi product coupon (will be sent via snail mail)– which should make for a FREE item when paired with a sale! There are also quite a few other rewards to choose from that are in the 50 to 75 point range.
Also, Kashi has now teamed up with RecycleBank! When you buy specially marked boxes of Kashi Whole Wheat Biscuits cereal (Cinnamon Harvest, Autumn Wheat, or Island Vanilla), you can get 15 Recycle Bank points (by entering an 8 digit code found inside the box). Plus, if you enter the code before November 30th, you’ll get 15 extra bonus points!! Sounds good to me!

I think she posted that in August!
Lisa says:
Hmmmm wouldn’t work for me. Am I missing something?
Erin says:
Thank you for the code! I hadn’t looked at my account since the beginning of the year (my area doesn’t do the recycling program) but I had 105 points in there?! I got 2 coupons!
LaToya says:
Kashi is bad on the digestive system…seriously….in my household it’s not called “Kashi”…it’s called “poopy” – LOL It’s nothing wrong with the taste…but man…what’s in that??
Katie says:
Fiber? lol
Shelly says:
It’s actually a form of fiber called inulin. I wrote to them after trying the Kashi Go Lean Crunch – I was so sick! I ended up having to throw the whole box away. They kind of blamed it on, ‘well, if you don’t eat a lot of fiber, it can stress your system.’ Ha! I eat plenty, but that stuff kills me. Just Google Kashi Go Lean Crunch + gas and you will see that you’re not alone, lol!
Ebony says:
i loved recycle bank but there is just now way for me to keep getting points so i stopped. They used to have great Huggies Q’s
fairydust says:
yeah, same here – I keep receiving emails from them about the great coupons I could get if I just had points…. but no way to get any points in my area
Oh well – I’ll just keep hoping the continue to roll out the program in new ways.
Vivienne says:
I am not able to figure out how to get the $3 off coupon for Kashi cereal……
Lisa says:
You have to “buy” the coupon with your points. If you look on the left side of the rewards screen, there is a tab for food or groceries…something like that. Click on it and it will bring up the offers. You then add the coupon to your cart and purchase it by redeeming rycyclebank points. It is snail mailed to you. HTH!
Jenny says:
I found it under “’10 America Recycles Day”. HTH!
Darla says:
Recycle Bank emailed me an offer yesterday to take a short survey and earn 30 points. I did it and it was sooo easy and fast.
In the past I’ve used my points to buy CVS $5 off $30 purchase coupons but now I can’t find them in the rewards list. Has anyone seen these lately?
Lisa says:
Also look for peelies: buy 3 Kashi products, get $3 off fresh produce!!!!!! They were on all the boxes at my Kroger
Megan♥ says:
I wish they’d give back the awesome rewards and the easy points!!!
I haven’t even looked at this program since January…it’s too hard to get points now.
karen says:
there was some codes in august for 15 pts that you could enter up to 5 times each. don’t know if they are still around /unexpired or not. google: recylebank insiders
Megan says:
I am interested in RecycleBank, but is it worth it to join if your community is not involved. I mean can you earn enough points just from products/codes to make it worth it?
steve johnson says:
no
Joy says:
You can earn 250 points when you send in your old Leapsters and Leap Pads.
Bridget says:

Don’t forget you can put in the bar codes from Nature Made vitamins for 10 pts. each..limit 4. Go to earn pts. Then click on the nature made..”learn more”. I don’t get many points either but I can get a couple boxes of free cereal. : )
Yvonne says:
DId you know you can also use the codes from NatureMade bottles on the NatureMade website to earn points for vitamin coupons? I love a good double-play!
muser says:
oh my gosh! I signed-up for this when it started in my area a couple months ago, but never looked at my “bank.” I have 315 points! I had no idea I could trade these in for coupons, just for doing something I would do every week anyway. Yay! Happiness!
Abby C. says:
i have had great experience with RecycleBank- I noticed that my account wasn’t being credited for my recycling and emailed customer service. They ameliorated the problem within 48 hours. Love it.
Sarah Eliza says:
I just used a Kashi recycle code and got the 15 points, but there wasn’t any “bonus points” for using it by Nov 30th… didn’t see anything about that anywhere either.
But I LOVE that Kashi and recyclebank have teamed up, so definitely not complaining, just confused where the “nov 30th” thing came from.
Sarah Eliza says:
Ok, figured it out — if you put the code in on Kashi’s own page, you’ll get the extra points. http://www.recyclebank.com/kashi. If you put your code in on the main page and use the drop box to pick “Kashi” as the partner, you’ll just get the 15. Make sure you’re on the right page!
