Ever since their computers have been programmed weirdly, if I try to use a coupon on a gift card deal, they either ring up as $0.00 or some weird amount like $0.23 🙁

    • mouni

Argh that’s so frustrating! It’s been happening to me every time I go too. 🙁

  2. cutsiecow

Woohoo Im Excited!!! Still have some from last year!

  3. Monica

I can’t wait, this will be my first year doing this!!!!

  4. TERA

I checked my coupon binder today and I have a buy 2 glade refill packs get one free. I dont remember which insert this came from, but just wanted to give a headsup in case anyone had this coupon!! Also there was a printable coupon I believe on coupons.com for $2.oo off two glade candles. I just used all of my glade coupons at walgreens cuz some of there candles were on clearence, I was able to score two 2oz. glade candles and two glade scented oil candles and 3 of the 4 pack refills at walgreens for 5.46!!!

    • TERA

Sorry for the typos. The fam is watching a scary movie so I am typing in the dark!!lol

  5. Sam

This is a good idea for giving out candles to my co-workers, lol. Thanks Collin!

I am really excited to try this deal but almost every time I try to use coupons at my Target the system only accepts half of them. The worst part is usually the cashier takes all my coupons anyway. I hope Target gets their system fixed soon. Hope everyone has good luck with this deal 🙂

    • amyh

I’ve had the same experience at Target (just yesterday). I just go back in to the customer service area and they fix it. Sometimes it takes a little extra time so that’s a bummer..especially with little children along for the ride! 🙂 I just make sure I’m very familar with how many coupons I’m using and how much I should be saving before walking in.

    • Robin

I have gotten into the practice of chatting with the cashier about the recent coupon issues Target has been having. Nicely explaining how much these coupons help out our family etc. (Even offering to teach him/her how to do it as well!) and I ask them very nicely to scan the coupons slowly so we can check together to be sure the full amount comes off each one. I explain to them that by doing it that way, it may take a few extra seconds of checking out, but it will avoid me holding up her line to get a manager to fix everything with 10 people waiting behind me to check out. So far so good!!

    • Erin

Everyone needs to call or email customer service. I’ve been contacting them about this since this summer, but I really need to tighten my budget, so I just avoid Target for the most part. Never thought I’d say that!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This is exactly why I have started handing the cashier one.coupon.at.a.time. LOL! Takes longer but I can watch the screen to be sure that each coupon is coming off my total that way.

      • Jeri

I always hand the cashier my coupons one at time (at all stores). This makes it way easier to see whether each q works. A couple of times the cashiers have gotten snippy but I hold the line and simply state, “I want to be sure each one goes through as expected”. I much prefer this than paying too much and having to go to customer service.

    • Melissaan

I have had some trouble with Target cashiers too, taking my coupons but not scanning all of them. (Frankly, I think it is due to laziness!) In these instances I haven’t discovered that my coupons weren’t all scanned until I left the store. Then it is too late and impossible to retrieve my unused coupons. So, I have gotten into the practice of handing my coupons to the cashier one by one and waiting until they scan that coupon. That way, I know if a coupon is not accepted, and I can at least use it elsewhere. Sometimes the clerks are resistant, telling me to hand over all them at one time. I simply refuse, telling them I prefer to hand them to them one at a time because “the coupons sometimes stick together”.

I’m so excited. I went to my local Kmart and on their display of the Glade holiday stuff, there was a tearpad full of coupons for $3/3 ANY Glade holiday items. I grabbed a couple and now I’m so glad I did. 🙂 Hopefully they can make this a moneymaker!

  8. tilla ham

if you are not a fan of glade products, as I am not…consider doing this deal and donating to the salvation army, they collect presents for the kids, but often the adults are left out, i love donating stuff like this so moms in need can get a little treat

  9. thecents2save

I loved doing these deals last year on the Glade candles during the holiday season. I am so glad they are back – woo hoo!

  10. Jenny Lynn

YES! I did this for my coworkers last year 🙂 An inexpensive way to give everyone a little something. I did one of the glass candle holders, a refill set, and wrapped up with an oversized mug, and a home made hot chocolate mix. cost about $2.00 per person-but was a huge hit 🙂

    • Laura

      Love this idea!

  11. Sandy

This will turn into a MM when Target has their 4/$10 sale. Usually a little closer to the end of October from what I remember.

    • Robin

YES! That’s the deal I did last year and I stocked up on a TON of Apple/Cinnamon glade products!!! Can’t wait to restock my stash!!!

  12. Nicole F.

If you are buying for example 3 candles can i use three of the same coupon for each item?

    • Carissa

Yes. You can use one manufacture’s coupons and one Target coupon stacked together for each product.

  13. mipalady23

    Woooooo Hooooo love this!

  14. Laura

I LOVED this deal last year! I just got $2/any 1 glad holiday candle coupons yesterday at Kmart so this is going to make for an amazing deal!

    • Stacy

      Where did you find these?

  15. lacey houseman

I did this last year…I made like 25 little gift bags to give to friends, neighbors and teachers…and it cost me like $2!!

  16. tiffany

I’m so happy that Target is doing this deal again! I stocked up on so many candles last year I was able to give a fabulous gift to each of my coworkers, family and friends.

  17. Gina D

Just saw that there is a Target STORE coupon (on their website) for 20% off with the purchase of three 7 oz Glade soy candles. I don’t know if these are included in the gift card deal but if so this would really make a good deal even better!

    • Momoon

I thought that Target Glade soy coupon would be great too … until I saw the candles were like $8 each! Yikes, no thanks! 😀

  18. cbear1415

I printed the $1.5/2 coupon, and it says it can’t be combined with any other coupon. So I don’t think that deal #1 would work.

  19. Latasha

Does anyone have the Target Debit Card? Its a debit card that you use at Target only but is linked to your existing checking account. I got a letter in the mail a couple of weeks ago saying that starting October 16th you’ll get a 10% discount (from now on) when you pay with your Target Debit Card! This should make these deals even better!

  20. robyn

i was just at my target and this was not happening. it was a NO on the curel lotion as well.

    • Shannon F.

No for me on the curel as well. They had a regular Curel in the size needed on clearance but the sensitive skin only came in large :o(

      • Jaydn Gillis

Just got back from my Target too and no gift card with the Glade candles. =( Very disappointed!

  21. hsvmom3

I just got back from mine in Huntsville, AL and no Curel and they did not have the Glade holiday candles out yet. Said probably in a week or so. Errrrr!

FYI I live in RI and my 2 local Target stores have recently fixed a few glitches in their register systems. The sales slips now have each coupon subtraction listed after each product which is great, (makes returns less of a battle) and Ive had less and less coupon issues. I have had issues before with using coupons on a gift card deal. Havent tried it in a while so will see next time if it is fixed. One time a coupon I had for $5 with glade purchase wasnt working. The manager ended up taking money off each item & putting that amount onto the gift card for me. Which was ok, but the next day the glade went on sale for less. Normally I couldve gone in for a price adjustment, but it showed that I paid 50 cents for each, not what I actually paid because the slip was messed with. Sigh.
Yesterday, I didnt have any problems with any of my coupons except for the BOGOF dozen eggs coupon, and that was only because the cashier didn’t know how to put a purchase price in for the coupon manually. He was a little slow, so I didnt mind, but there were two people behind me.. and he panicked and started to void out my sale to put the other customers through while we waited for the manager, who was coming up the aisle that minute lol. My fiance & I just shot eachother a look. It was obviously just a kid who hasnt been trained much yet. No problem. The manager went over it with him, and even said “remember what our new coupon training book said?” Which made my ears perk up. I was going to ask him about it but he dashed off. Hmm??!! Interesting! The eggs were on sale for 99cents a dozen this week, but my store had them on special for 50cents a dozen!!! So with my BOGOF eggs coupon, I got 2 doz eggs for 50 cents!! Great deal! Gonna make lots of quiche! lol

I bought holiday 4 oz candles at my target today and used the coupons and the register did not give me any $5.00 gift cards and when I asked customer service they said the machine would have told the cashier to print them out if they had the deal. so be aware you might not get the $5.00 gift card.

    • Ashley O.

I also had the same problem. No $5 gift card.

      • Sara

The sign was up at my target and when I paid no gc came out so i went to customer service. They went and got the sign and it was printed on the sign that the deal didn’t start until 11/7/10 but they gave me back $5.00 + tax so i actually made money when I left!

  24. Jennifer Koz

My Naples, FL Super Target will only accept three of the same coupons per person/per day. This has made it hard to shop there to take advantage of promotions like this. I wonder if this is a local (aka, BS) policy or a corporate policy. hmmm

  25. dtrble95

So I went to my target today and they do not have this deal going on. 🙁

  26. Trish

I have read that this deal starts on October 17th, so wait a few more days to try it.

  27. Christy

Just a head’s up to check those clearance end caps. I was at my local Target today in Washington. My husband was laid off for a while recently so we have really buckled down on our budget. Anyways! He likes to have a beer once in a while but since the layoff, that has been totally out of the grocery budget. However, today on the clearance end cap, I found Henry Weinharts beer for $2.64 for a case of 12 bottles! What a deal!! He told me I should have bought all 3 cases at that price 🙂 Good luck fellow couponers!

  28. cutsiecow

Went to my local target today, the 15th. This special was not going on here in Missouri.

  29. Mandy

So happy I waited to do this deal tonight. The Glade items were marked down to $2.50. I actually did the FREE $5 Gift Card wyb 10 Weight Watchers Smart Ones on 1 transaction using the $4/10 Target coupons & 2 $1/5 MFR. Then I rang up my Glade items and used the newly posted $3/3 and 2 of the $1/1 Scented Candle Holder and I paid for $5 of it with the $5 Gift Card from the previous transaction. The only issue I had was that the $3/3 rang up as $1.50. The cashier said there was nothing she could do… and I knew better than that. She ended up asking someone who told her to just scan it twice, lol. So I paid $11.16 for 10 Weight Watchers Smart Ones frozen dinners & 5 Glade Candles!!

  30. Bethany

I just went and was able to get the 10 candles at $2.50 a piece and was able to use the 5 BOGO coupons along with one $3 off 3 candles coupon from Home Depot and one $1.50 off 2 candles coupon (printed) and although they had to fix the $3 off 3 coupon (it originally only took off $2.50), I got both $5 gift cards so I ended up making $2 on the whole deal!! Thank you so much for posting this!!

  31. Tracy

Does anyone know if this deal is still going on?
