I have a question about register rewards that don’t show up in the weekly advertisement. For example, for several weeks this month there have been posts about getting a $4 RR from buying 6 boxes of Kleenex. I don’t see that in any of my weekly advertisment flyers. Am I missing something? Also, the Colgate toothpaste RR for $2.50 that was posted for this week on Hip2Save also wasn’t in my flyer. I would like to do both of these deals but am hesitant to try since I don’t have a flyer to back me up.

I am seeing the same issue in Oregon. I did not get the RR for the Kleenex. If they are not in the ad I am not getting the RR. I wonder if it has to do with the clipless coupons that are now being used in Oregon. It seems like we are not getting the same RR benefits as we used to.
I did the Kleenex deal in Portland, OR twice this month and it worked like a charm so not sure what the problem was in your part of Oregon.

My issue is also putting these together for multiple transactions. Trying to remember everything that is P&G, etc and not using those RRs to pay for other P&G is difficult!
You can use a P&G RR to get another P&G item that will print a RR as long as the RR are different amounts right?

Worked for me today. I bought a P&G item and got a RR then got another P&G item (not the same item though) and used the RR from the first item to pay for it.

Yes you can. The only catch is no more RRs( or coupons) can be used that the number of items you are purchasing. So you couldn’t use 4 RRs on one toy say.

yep, or if you only need 2 toys, for example, you could get the 2 toys plus 2 candy cane pens (20 cents each) as cheap filler items and use 4 RR’s. 🙂

I would caution that it really depends on the cashier. Even if the coupon doesn’t beep on its own, my cashier will not allow me to use it (and will refuse to adjust it down). I have the worst Walgreens ever.

Help!! One of the comments above said the sale starts at 9 AM, so I called my local store to confirm. The cashier (who checked with the store manager) said the sales don’t start till Friday.
So then I called the Walgreens corporate customer relations and asked the same question. The corporate told me there is a One-Day sale on Thanksgiving (Thur) starting 2 AM (for 24-hour stores), but NOTHING special on Friday.
I am so confused!! Are these deals you posted the “One Day” sale? I can’t believe Walgreens can’t even figure out WHEN they are going to have the sale themselves. Just another reason I hate Walgreens. (But I want the deals regardless.)

Walgreen’s is not doing a black Friday sale this year. Instead they are doing a 3 day sale with some sale prices only good Thursday. The non-24 hour stores open at 9. Hope this helps!

I just got back from Walgreens. I am reporting back that the corporate lady DID know what she was talking about. The sales promptly started at 2 AM as she told me.
However I messed up. Apparently I accidentally used one of the same RR for the next transaction. I had 23 RR eligible items but I only accounted for 22 RRs. 🙁 I couldn’t figure out which one I messed up. I think I will have to line them up and do the math. But if I still can’t figure out, then I’ll just have to suck it up. Our Walgreens doesn’t allow returns for RR items either. We have the worst Walgreens ever.

Just got back from a great trip. The Soda/Pop/whatever you call 7up deal was not printing but everything else worked great. Got enough in RR to get my son the mp3 player for free. (we like it so far. reviews were mixed for it.)

I don’t think some of those scenerios will work out b/c a few you go into negative, so you will need fillers (My walgreens will NOT adjust down RRs, unlike CVS where I can)

Just got back from my Walgreens & CVS run. Went to a Wags I don’t normally shop so I was walking around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to find everything!! I did 3 transactions, spent $6.35 total (includes tax) for:
2 Secret bodysprays, 2 Olay bodywashes, 1 Old Spice Bodywash, 1 Nivea shave gel, 1 Robitussin 2-go, 1 Scunci & 1 Fiber Choice tablets.
Started with $8 total in RRs, left with $17.50 in RRs
of which $13.96 will go towards the Olay rebate!!

I came home with a whole lot of RRs and ECBs in my wallet because I can’t really do multiple transactions without getting the cashiers upset. So I REALLY HOPE in the next 2 weeks (for Walgreens) and the next month (for CVS), there will be good sales for me to use them up!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I have BIG NEWS!!!!
When I was checking out at the third Walgreens I went to, the cashier told me that they just had a staff meeting a couple of days ago and they were told that the RRs will roll now, meaning if you get the RR for this item, and you do a separate transaction to buy the same item, you CAN use the RR you just generated to buy it. It WILL print out another RR.
I am too chicken to try it out, because our Walgreens has horrible customer service (although I was very surprised that my cashier would be nice enough to tell me this information) and horrible return policy. So I didn’t want to try it and then RR didn’t print and then I had to return it. But I am letting you know what the cashier told me. She said it would definitely work for Black Friday deals, but she’s not even sure if they will do it in the future. It might be just the “Jingle Cash” deal (and that’s why they didn’t call it RR this week. They called it Jingle Cash I think – I don’t have the flyer in front of me). So when it returns to the regular RR, it might not work. Just FYI.
If anyone has the courage to test this out, I would really appreciate if you let us know.
I didn’t get a thing from walgreens. They told me that I am not allowed to use my coupons if the item is free. Is this true?
Mf Qs will work with any & all RRs! I am an employee at walgreens and the people that r getting stores that refuse to let u use the Qs u need to ask for the store managers name and call when he is there. If he says the same thing ask for the District manager and file a complaint. I really hate that soo many employees r sooo ignorant especially the managers. I hope this will fix ur problems cuz this problem needs to be addressed.
The coupon for the theatre candy says .99/3 M&M Mars candy. Is this working for all the theatre candy also?
I went to Walgreens this morning, gathered all my things, got to the register only to find that their catalina coupon machine was NOT working. ARGH! They were handing out hand-written forms to have the rewards sent in the mail which didn’t work for me since I “rotate” the rewards. I’m hoping it works before the end of the sale. By the way, I live in Chicago.
I went to my local walgreens and the manager informed me that if i used my coupons the jingle cash would not print out. I had planned to do 2 transactions and he said that i could not use the jingle cash today. He said the jingle cash was different from the rr they usual give. i did use one coupon that i had that gave me a free right guard if i bought one and it did print out the jingle cash. I was very disappointed because i could have really saved alot. I told the manager that it would be nice if they would explain this in the ad.
If your transaction worked, then I would think the manager was wrong. I went today and used coupons and got all my RR.
That’s what they told me to! I am so confused. He asked, “why would you use coupons if the items are free?”
That was a dumb question… we want to use the Qs when the item is free, so we can make it a money-maker…
This happened to me today too!
I had a buggy full of goodies (all RR/Jingle Cash deals) and I had stratigically divided up my purchase into 4 transations so I could use my recently received RR to get more stuff (which would produce more….but different RR). It didnt work!! The first 2 transactions went fine but the 3rd, which I was expecting 6 RR, produced 0! The manager came over and tried to do the same transaction at a different register and then came back with a bunch of forms for me to mail in to get RR from corperate. I told her that I would rather just cancel it all and get my money back.

When did you go? I went to a 24-hour store the first trip at 2 AM, and everything worked (and I used both Mfr Qs and previous RRs and Jingle Cash). Then I went again to another non-24-hr store to catch the rest of the items (because the 24-hr store didn’t carry them) and that was 9 AM and everything worked as well, with coupons and jingle cash used on all transactions.
HEy guys has anyone else heard that they are going to start something new with the jingle cash on Dec 1. My check out lady today was telling me, that when you spend 100 dollars in the store your going to start getting 20 dollars in jingle cash. There is also smaller amounts.
I wasn’t told that. But I was told you can use the Jingle cash on the same item. I didn’t test it out though.
I went today and had some great success – (well if you count the fact that I could only get one set of freebies in my store). I did however hit two stores and then I went back later with two family members (I still have coupons left). But all of my register rewards (aka jingle cash) printed. I did not try to roll them into the same product, but I may try it with my favorite cashier on Friday. I have a ton of register rewards to use and plan on getting a pillow pet for my son with some of my overages. Thanks Walgreens for paying me to shop.
I assume you have many small amount RRs/JCs ($2 to $5), so what’s your strategy to use them on a bigger item (Pillow Pet is $19.99)? My Walgreens don’t have anything that is really cheap for a filler. The cheapest thing I can find is a bag of candy for 59 cents. So this “filler” eats up more than half a dollar on its own! Now I have nearly $50 RR/JCs and I am worried that I can’t use them up by 12/9.
They have pens 4/$1 and they have candy cane pens 5/$1 (with in ad coupon)
